Beware of Bait and Switch. This place tricked me, had me pay for the dress, while they were doing alterations, then when i got to the back, they told me I had to pay more for the alterations than the dress cost. They had me, since I had already paid for the dress. The alterations were mortifying. They had threads hanging all over the sleeve and botched up the slit on the dress, they left tacking in it. I had to spend an extra hour after picking up the dress trying to make them fix it, they could not fix all the problems. The place also looks run down.

Three words- ASK FOR KATIE. She is the sweetest, most helpful and kind lady there is! She made sure I was happy and even remembered me by name. It was so good to go in and have someone care so much for how you’re being helped there. I’m sticking to my 5 stars because of how I was treated there but expect to pay a lot for alterations- mine cost more than my dress did :( Other than that this place is the best to go to find “THE dress” ❤️

Could not have been more pleased with my trip here today on the search for a wedding dress (spoiler: search was successful)! We ended up booking an appointment for noon today, and each one of the staff members were so warm and welcoming as well as helpful.Maddie went out of her way to help me find exactly what I was looking for and was so patient. She let me try on multiple dresses, tailored each one to what I had mentioned I liked aesthetically. Overall, Maddie was so nice and not only helped me find two stunning dresses (one for a legal ceremony in a few weeks, and a second later for when family and friends are able to travel), she helped me and my entourage make some wonderful memories in looking for a dress. We even were able to participate in a special little celebration when saying yes to the dress that was fun and unique. I was also able to speak to other members of staff concerning dress alterations, and everyone was so kind the whole time.I definitely recommend swinging by here if you are looking for a wedding dress. Not only are staff kind, they provide a warm and unique wedding dress shopping experience, and are conscientious of your time-range, price, and other variables.

I had made an appointment for trying on dresses for an upcoming wedding where I am actually the grandmother of the groom. Leigha attended to me and we tried several dresses on. Davids Bridal has always gone above and beyond to make my special day awesome! Last year i got remarried and they helped me find the perfect dress and even put some special touches on it. This year my daughter is getting married. I waited too long to be able to order a dress, and even though they are very busy they made time to help me with alterations and special touches on my dress. Davids Bridal is Awesome!

I am beyond impressed with this David’s Bridal! I called the day before in tears because I needed a bridesmaid dress quickly. They schedule for me to come in the very next day. I was in and out in 48 minutes with a dress! Tracey and Evanne were so accommodating, knowledgeable, and sweet!!!

I had a great experience with everyone at the Wilmington David’s bridal location! They were all so helpful, offered suggestions for me, and explained things to me to help me better understand the process! It was quick and went smoothly! They discussed prices of each thing with me before showing me what it looked like and were very open about the pricing throughout, which I found very helpful and would be for anyone in a budget! It also was not as expensive as I thought and heard stories of being, so definitely a great experience altogether! The two people I worked with were amazing, I believe one was named Delaney and I’m not sure of the actual seamstress name. 10/10

The atmosphere was quite welcoming and pleasant. Very attentive with details and meeting your expectations. Overall, great customer service. I was happy to know they could do the alterations to my dress considering I had purchased it from another store. However, the pricing for the alterations were a bit higher than I expected. In short, it made me wish I had bought my dress from them or went somewhere else to have it altered. Payment in full....now I wait, in hope that it comes out beautifully and Im sure it will.I give them four stars only because of the killer pricing for alterations. :)

I brought my mother’s wedding dress to David’s for tons of alterations. Julie and the alterations team did an amazing job completely recreating my moms dress! They really went the extra mile and it turned out better than I could have imagined! I would recommend David’s as the top alterations choice around Wilmington.

I went there today to find my wedding dress. I enjoyed my experience. The stylist who was helping us today was super sweet I believe her name is Joslyn. She was super sweet and super helpful! I will be returning to get my bridesmaids dresses from them!!

The team at this David’s Bridal is on point. I’ve bought both dresses from DB and having one altered there. Their alterations staff are top notch and Deleany made me feel like I am a queen during my visits. She is amazing and a gem. The alterations manager is also one of the best managers and alterations specialists I’ve ever encountered.

Place was way over packed- the girl that helped us was great. However the girl helping the bride next to us- literally walked out of the stall, told my daughter (whom was using the mirror) that she needed that mirror and she needed to move. Very unprofessional- and you better believe I let her know how rude that was in front of everyone. Because of that, I would give a 1 star- however, the young girl helping us was very sweet and helpful along with everyone else we worked with. I understand having to wait and being short staffed- so should the workers there need to understand who they are working with are not the only people in the store (with appointments) trying on stuff and we all are there for a reason and you just might need to wait for a mirror.

My consultant, Summer was amazing! She worked with me to narrow the search down to the perfect dress. She listened to everything I said and found a dress that I would have never picked on my own! She was also fabulous with my daughter and best friend, helping them pick the perfect dresses to compliment each other. I was looking for a dress for my step daughter’s wedding. I had already seen a dress online that I liked, but it’s so hard to know how it will look or how it will fit. So I visited a few bridal shops in the area, but they weren’t very helpful. They directed me to sections of the store with “mother of the bride” dresses. They were very frumpy looking. The women didn’t offer any help at all.I made an appointment at David’s Bridal in Wilmington and Michael helped me search for dresses. I showed him what I had in mind- something with lots of glitz and bling. He was SO HELPFUL!!!! He even went online to search for me. He offered suggestions like picking a dress with long sleeves and having them taken off. He spent so much time trying to get me the perfect dress! Unfortunately, we weren’t successful. He actually felt bad that he couldn’t find me a dress. I know I am very fussy when I have something in my mind. Michael went out of his way to actually help me! He even went to other girls working in the store and asked for suggestions! I can’t thank him enough.He actually was listening to me!If you are looking for a bridal dress or something for your bridal party, go to this store. If I have to go to some affair, I will definitely go there to look for a dress. All of the people there were so nice!

Delaney fit me in really fast even though I arrived 30 minutes early. Pleasant staff and convenient hours. Weddings kind of sucks but they made the experience less painful at an affordable rate.

I ordered a dress and the warehouse sent the wrong size because the dress was mistagged. Katie and her team were great!! I found another dress that was my size and it was cheaper then the original dress.. I was able to keep my alterations apt and my dress will be done in plenty of time for the wedding!! Katie and her team bent over backwards to help me out and get this taken care of.

Right when we walked in they had dresses waiting for me that were perfect and specific for what I was looking for for a bridesmaids dress! The first dress Tracey pulled for me was the one and I didn’t even have to look any further! I also needed a flower girl dress for my 2 year old daughter who is on the smaller side and Tracey was able to find the perfect dress for her right away as well! We were all set within 30-40 minutes of being there. They knew exactly what we wanted and needed and were extremely personable and helpful. The store manager Tracie was so friendly and we truly felt welcome there! I would definitely recommend this location 100%!

I didnt expect to enjoy my appointment here to be honest. Thats only because Im a huge introvert and I had no one to help me except the stylist. The stylist was great! I was very anxious to go dress shopping. I am often very indecisive, so I was worried I was going to struggle to find my wedding dress. However, Davids Bridal and particularly Madison made this experience AMAZING. Madison was extremely helpful and listened to what I was looking for. I tried on 5 dresses and found the one! Everyone was soo sweet and made me feel like a princess. Finding my dress has lifted a ton of relief off my shoulder and I couldnt be more happy that I picked Davids Bridal!!!

I went with family and a friend this past Friday and I cant tell you how thrilled I am to have found the perfect beach dress for my upcoming wedding in Hawaii! Trinity was fantastic and very helpful and knowledgeable, even the manager Tracey took time to help and gave me some great ideas to use for the alteration! The best part is, my dress was probably one of the cheapest in the store, since all of our plans changed due to COVID, yet they treated me no different than any customer spending 10 times what I did! I would definitely recommend Davids Bridal to brides of any age and ask for Trinity if you can!

I can’t believe how easy of a time I had. I am the most indecisive person on the planet and was expecting my first trip to try on dresses would be a nightmare. But it was a dream. The team was wonderful. I found my dress. Everything was more than I could have asked for. My issue is with Davids Bridal.com. Returning a pantsuit bought for a wedding, bought two different sizes to see which one I needed. They wont answer the telephone, want you to text your issue. This not the way a business should be run. They emailed a return label that clearly wouldnt open. Had to pay to ship item back. I hope they go out of business!

Made an impromptu stop here (without an appointment) just to start the process of considering MOB dresses. Didnt even plan to try-on anything but did end up trying a couple of gowns and thanks to Hannah may have found my dress on the first outing. She was great at zeroing in on my preferences and what style would work best for me. Wasnt quite ready to purchase yet but Hannah helped me have a very positive first experience looking for a MOB dress.

I brought my daughter to Davids Bridal early December to find something simple for a courthouse wedding. When we walked in we were greeted by the Manager Tracie asking what style and budget we had in mind. My daughter piped up and said she wanted a simple white dress because it was only for a courthouse wedding. Manager Tracie immediately corrected her in saying its not only a courthouse wedding but was a special day to start to the rest of her life. I was overwhelmed and pleased by the service and attention my daughter received in finding her dress/jumper suit for her special day. We only spent a couple hundred dollars but we were treated as if we were buying the most expensive gown there. Thank you for providing my daughter with a memorable experience and thank you for helping her be a stunning bride on her special day.

We have truly enjoyed our shopping experience at David’s Bridal for my daughter’s debutante dress. The staff was so professional and helpful and Juanica in alterations was meticulous to detail and so easy to work with! I would highly recommend using them again!

Meagan was phenomenal and the entire staff made you feel as though you had your own showing of dresses. They were very knowledgeable about shape and size. The only thing I could think of to make the experience better would be more of a celebration of the yes to the dress like a bell or something of the nature. But in contrast the intimacy if our one on one appointment was amazing as well as letting my daughter hijack the appointment to pick her dress as well. 5 stars since thats the most I can give.

I absolutely love Davids bridal and have for a number of years. The Mayfaire location was kind to me back in 2016 when my bridesmaid dress became too small after getting pregnant.Theyve continued to be amazingly lovely, kind and welcoming with dresses for other needs. Davids bridal is more than just wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses but can cater towards parties, photoshoots and days you just want to plant seeds of envy in others hearts, which I call #thirstythursday. I will definitely continue to shop there for all my needs!

I love going to David’s bridal in Mayfair in the last few months I bought three dresses from them Christina is always very helpful and all the other sales girls as well as my wedding day approaches All I can do is smile they’ve made it so easy for me. The best place to get a wedding dress! I had the most wonderful experience here, we had gone to another local place earlier in the day and found nothing, didn’t feel attended to at all. We had my appointment at David’s Bridal after and I found my dress!! The consultant was fantastic she figured out exactly what I was looking for ! Wonderful service and the best consultants I could ask for !!

I was sent the wrong dress size when I ordered from another location and one of the managers Christina was super helpful with getting the right size for me. The dress was still a bit too big so I went for an alteration today and the new manager Julie was great. She was fun to talk to and very kind. I was comfortable and it went by very quick, I’m excited to see how it fits in a few weeks!

I never post reviews, but this place deserves it. I came in alone with no appointment and need a prom dress (with prom being that night). I had one women help me for awhile and she had someone else help when she couldn’t be there. I am so grateful for these women I was able to get everything I needed for prom that night at a cheap price!! The dress was in great condition and everyone working were super nice and happy to be there. Thank you!

I had the best experience here at David’s Bridal in Wilmington NC. Micheal and Kristina were an absolute joy. They we’re so helpful in making my vision come to life and ensured I got exactly what I needed to make my wedding perfect. I have been to multiple bridal salons in Raleigh and Charlotte. I regret not coming to David’s Bridal in Wilmington sooner. Learn from my mistake and DO NOT GO TO NEW YORK BRIDE AND GROOM. I purchased a wedding dress there that they put on me wrong and they refused to help with alterations to fix it. You expect your consultant to know how a dress is supposed to be on a bride. You also expect your consultant to listen to what a brides vision is and make it come true. Also DO NOT GO TO THE DAVIDS BRIDAL IN CHARLOTTE. I got my bridesmaids dresses there and they were discontinued but they did not tell me! My bridesmaids went in and had to get whatever dress size they had and then pay extra to get it altered. Some dresses were messed up because of how many people had tried it on in store and my bridesmaids had no other choice but to get it anyway. David’s Bridal in Wilmington is a whole other story. Michael listened to my vision and found me the perfect dress. They were honest about when the dress would arrive, how much alterations would be, and when I needed to schedule my alteration appointment so I would not be in a rush prior to my wedding. I cannot thank them enough for everything that did. If you live in the western part of North Carolina I promise you the drive is well worth it! Don’t go wasting money like me and my bridal party have. Go see Micheal and Kristina and get the dress of your dreams the first time!

Hands down the best experience I have ever had. We had lots of help from Hannah to set up our appointment. Haley C was my perfect stylist who helped me find a new dress a month and a half before my wedding because I needed something more comfortable. She made me feel beautiful and confident with my choice and you could feel the genuine care!! If you are an indecisive person like me go see Haley because she made the process easy peasy with her ideas and knowledge of these dresses. Being a plus size woman, I was super nervous about trying on dresses and scared David’s Bridal wouldn’t have a lot of dresses to choose from but I was immediately proved wrong. Summer guided me through the selection process and pulled the very dress I fell in love with online. She made me feel so comfortable and clearly explained everything! I came to find lots of dresses in my size. She matched a belt and a beautiful veil to go with my dress so I wasn’t stuck trying to figure out which ones matched. Summer made my wedding dress shopping easy and she made my dress dream come true!!

I had a Bad Experience when I went to The Davids Bridal in Greenville, NC but the Davids Bridal in Wilmington off the Military cut off... Where to Begin, first when we walked in Christina greeted us, then, I forgot her name she got us Started while my Stylist, Summer was finishing with another bride. When I tell you they listen to everything I wanted & Tracy came over saw me in my dress, then, she showed me how I was going to look in it on my wedding day... Then, Summer had me close my eyes & imagine how I came to the boutique... The Manager was even helpful... All in all Wilmington made me Feel like I was the only Bride in the entire Boutique... Yes, I Said Yes to my dress & Im going back for 4 bridesmaids dresses... My Sistafriend/Matron of Honor also, found her dress... Im Personally asking for Summer again when I come back... Thank You Wilmington Davids Bridal...

Went in skeptical that I would find anything I liked, left with my dress!I made an appointment online (which was later confirmed by phone) at the Wilmington NC location. We were greeted at the door, shown around, and settled into a dressing room with grace and an armful of dresses.Miss Taylor was our consultant. She did an excellent job of zipping, clipping, buttoning, sweeping away the dresses already tried on, and respecting my budget. That last part in particular was important -- She talked about adjustments and alterations that could be made, knowledgable about what might be more or less expensive to do. I left with a gorgeous ensemble, plans for minor alterations, money still in my pocket and a big smile!

Summer was so sweet and made our visit so pleasant. We were under the wire to get a flower girl dress for pageant portraits and needed to buy off the rack immediately. In and out with the perfect dress in less than 30 minutes! That means the world to a mom of a 5 year old!! We will be back for future pageant dresses for sure!

My daughter didn’t have a definite idea of what she wanted for a wedding dress, but by asking the right kinds of questions and having her try on different dresses, Tracey was able to determine what my daughter was after, what she liked and did not like, and was able to help her find a dress she loved (within budget, too) all within about the span of an hour. She has a great eye and she knows her stuff. She made our appointment a real pleasure — low stress, enjoyable, and we have a dress!

Could not have asked for a better experience, and she helped me find the dress of my dreams! Would highly recommend to any bride. Will definitely be going back to mother of the bride/bridesmaids dresses.

I came in looking for bridesmaids dresses and these girls went above and beyond for me and my girls! Store manager Tracie Treated us so well! They seriously went above and beyond for us. They welcomed us with smiles and had not problem helping my bridesmaid find their perfect dress! I will 100% recommend them! I even went back and got them to do my wedding alteration! Thank you girls!

We had the absolute BEST experience at this Davids Bridal. My daughter was asked to be a substitute bridesmaid and needed a teal bridesmaid dress. We received a call prior to our appointment asking what we were shopping for. Tracey M. was our stylist and she was phenomenal! She was very prepared for our visit - when we walked in for our appointment she had several dresses lined up for my daughter to try on. It felt great to be welcomed in this manner. Due to a time constraint, we knew we had to buy off the rack. That was not a problem at this store. Tracey was so organized and pleasant to work with! The dress we chose fit perfectly. It did need a couple quick stitches to fix a minor issue and the seamstress Erika came to our rescue by quickly and professionally getting the repair done. Next, my 2 year old granddaughter needed a flower girl dress. Tracey M. took us to the flower girl section, pulled out some dresses, gave us some great tips on adding details/accessories and was so understanding when our granddaughter was not in the mood to try on dresses. Tracie C., the manager, was also so pleasant to deal with. She made me feel like she valued our visit. We made our purchases and I have to say, we left feeling like we were the luckiest people to find this store and these terrific, professional and helpful ladies. Thank you Tracey, Tracie & Erika! We will be back (more weddings to come!)

Shopping for my formal was an amazing experience! Greeted by Hannah at the desk she was so welcoming and got me started on my diamond loyalty. Tracie the manager was super sweet and made the experience great!! and my stylist Meagan did a great job recruiting me. Kristina was so great at my color selection!

I cannot express how much I enjoyed my experience at this location. I have been to several other David’s bridal locations for the weddings of friends but no experience has compared to this. I went in with my chief bridesmaid to find my wedding dress and Tracy took us under her wing as her own to make the experience perfect and make sure we had everything we needed. We were able to choose all the bridesmaid dresses and I ended up finding my perfect wedding gown. By the end of our visit we had the rest of the staff working that day as part of our team- helping me try on and clip dresses, answer questions about delivery and alterations and help me find the perfect dress suited to my vision. I was overjoyed when we left as this was my very first day of wedding dress shopping and I never imagined I could find everything I needed so quickly and easily. I will never forget the day Tracy and savanna and the rest of the team helped me say yes to the dress. This felt like such a personal experience that I was not expecting to find at a chain store. Thank you all!

I went in yesterday to try on wedding dresses. And I did not think I was going to find my dress the first time. But sure enough I did. I did not think I would be saying yes to a dress the first time! I had two people helping me and they helped me find my dress to marry the love of my life! And it was adorable! Thank you so much!!

I purchased my bridesmaid dress here and had a great experience. Once it came in and I tried it on at home I noticed a stain on the dress I hadn’t noticed in store. When I took my dress in to be looked at to clean they immediately said they would just replace the dress. The wedding had been moved up from October to May, so I was also wanting the dress altered to fit the warmer weather. Tracie the manager quickly came over telling me not to worry, they would fix everything and to let them deal with the stress. I ended up deciding to go with a different dress, in hopes of skipping the alterations. Tracie replaced the dress without me spending a dime, making sure it would be ready in time and have time for alterations if needed. She was very helpful and attentive and made a stressful afternoon so much more enjoyable.

I’m getting married in a few days and needed a dress very quickly. Katie stepped in right away and was extremely helpful and a calming presence. Great customer service!!

TracIE was AMAZING! The dress that I originally ordered for my big day was just not simply what I imagined and went into Davids and was immediately greeted by Tracie and she went above and beyond to help me figure out what I was looking for. Im 6 months pregnant and she helped me pick out dresses that would look good with my baby bump. I will never forget my time at Davids with her. She truly is amazing at what she does and her personality meshed so well with mine and my sisters!

I had my appointment today with David’s Bridal in Wilmington, and I am feeling beyond the moon with gratitude and excitement!! Unfortunately my family and friends couldn’t be there due to distance and travel restrictions, but the staff was absolutely wonderful and my consultant, Katelyn, helped fill in in their absence in every way! She listened to what I wanted, helped me look through their selection, and gave excellent feedback as I was trying everything on. I am so thankful for my experience and so very excited to have found my dress with David’s Bridal!

The team at David’s bridal was so welcoming! Both theManager Tracie and my bridal assistant Tracie really made me feel so comfortable and both of the ladies went beyond expectations to make my bridal experience fun, relaxing and of ease. The entire team that help me was so helpful!!. For a plus size bride I was so nervous but they had a huge selection of dresses and made me feel relaxed during the trying on process. I had the most AMAZING experience with Summer at Davids Bridal. I came in and had to leave with a dress same day. My fiancé and I made a last minute decision to elope, so with no time for fittings and alterations. The options were limited. But Summer made the experience pleasant. She helped me try on at least 9-10 dresses, helped me pick shoes and accessories. Made me feel confident, and when I finally picked the one she brought me to tears with her words right before I rang the bell and said Yes to the Dress. I am SO grateful to have had Summer help me with my wedding dress buying experience! She is the best. Ask for Summer if you go to Davids Bridal in Wilmington!!

We had a prom appointment and these ladies were great! They all worked together and we were able to leave ready for the ball!! Krystal helped us to get our shoes and alterations scheduled and made my daughter feel like the princess she is without pushing things her way. The whole staff was amazing! You have to check them out!!

Betty was my seamstress and was absolutely phenomenal! She complimented me and made me feel beautiful even though it was at the end of a very long day for myself. She also made me feel comfortable and put my happiness with the dress first, while adding her professional opinion when I asked for it. Her energy is a light to be around and I left feeling confident in her ability to perfect the alterations for my dress as well as confidence in my appearance. I’m excited for the wedding and glad to be working with such great staff!

Picking my dress was great. Alterations appt went great… then I got my dress and it was all messed up in alterations. So upset after two people working on it so im taking it elsewhere. They also charged me $300 for alterations they didn’t do and won’t give me any of it back, horrible way to treat someone that spent over $1500. Go somewhere elseUpdate: after talking to corporate they refunded the alterations. The girls at the store are all great it seems to be an issue with the higher ups.

Where do I start! I’m absolutely in LOVE with this store! I won’t spend much time talking about the beautiful and affordable designs they have, because you can see those for yourselves with a quick browse through the website. What I really wanna talk about is the AMAZING team of ladies who work in the Wilmington location! Starting with Ali at the front desk greeting me warmly, along with another colleague of hers, with a big smile, to Kristina who helped through the process of choosing my wedding dress, sharing ideas and suggestions, to the wonderful Eirleen at the alterations department who’s been explaining everything to me in details and giving me the different options to make my dress perfect, to the awesome ladies at the register who were very helpful. I came to the store three times, once when I tried on dresses and chose mine, once to pick it up and once to do my alterations. First time I came I had only one friend, the second time I was all alone. Can’t begin to tell you how amazing those ladies were by being involved with me, surrounding me and not making me feel alone, sharing opinions as I asked them and making me feel special. They are very much all my friends now whenever I go! I’m very grateful to all of them and I’m very lucky that I’ve picked this store to buy my dress. This location is the best because of its current staff. Big shout out to all of the ladies.The one remark I would give to David’s bridal corporation would be about their website. It would be helpful if they show on the website, after you go through the quiz and make the list of dresses, to see which stores carry those dresses in specific. Currently, the website shows if the dresses are available online, in store or in both. Would be helpful to specify which stores carry the dresses. The list I made said the dresses were in store, but realized non of them except two where available at the location I went to after I arrived. And for some reason the list didn’t sync with the store before I was there, so we had to manually look through everything.
