The connection is actually terrible. We get multiple disconnects every week and can barely keep a consistent download speed above a single megabyte. Don’t get me started on the major outages as they never get fixed unless you complain about them to customer service which seems to never be available when you need them. As we speak right now I have no internet. Just save yourself the frustration and spend an extra 30 for consistent and better quality internet.

I had an important business meeting and need a stable connection unfortunately like usual on certain weekend the connection was off for an hour. This would not be a big deal but considering the timing and the fact that they seem to only go down on weekends . The time where you cannot call for customer support seems to be a big issue in my bookin order to correct this simply have a couple on call staff during the weekend to help with communication please

This company has been a nightmare! We have internet connectivity problems about twice a month since we started with them in April (not exaggerating). Waiting on xfinity to come next week to make the change. I work from home and i’ve had to uproot my whole schedule because of this. Right now i’m posting this using my phone’s data as we again don’t have connection this morning. Save yourself the headache! We have messaged them many times and they just don’t respond. We messaged them our extreme disappointment… nothing. What a mess!

Incredible value for the money.I cut my cable bill in half when I dropped Comcast and used whyfly. When I worked from home for a year and a half I was the only person who never had buffering issues. If they are available in your area I highly recommend getting them.

I have only been a customer with you all for 3 weeks and every weekend my internet service has not been working. I can not contact a live person at all during the weekend for any type of assistance. I would like a discount on my bill for the days I had no internet. Also, it is now Sunday Sept. 19 th and t still haven’t heard back from you all about why my internet is still not working . I want to cancel my service. I wouldn’t recommend this internet company at all. Poor customer service and poor tech support.

Updated 7/25: Great service until they have blackouts. Unfortunately, had two days without service with no updates on progress despite calling 3 times. Hopefully, there will be improved stability.

ISPs are never perfect; internet is never operational 100% of the time. WhyFly is no different. But what does make them different is their superior customer service. Combine that with the fact that their internet is at least as reliable as the big guys and I certainly recommend them if they support your area.

When I moved to Wilmington 4 years ago I was so tired of the overpriced, poor quality of internet offered by big box providers. I saw that my neighbors were talking about Whyfly on the Nextdoor app. And thought Id give it a try.Ive loved everyday day with Whyfly since then. They advertise no shenanigans and they mean it! The service is consistent, other then outages due to bad weather, and hey, we cant control mother nature, right. Customer service is always good, even receiving email updates if there is a problem. For $55 a month Its a deal!Im moving out of the area now and will miss Whyfly! I hope they continue to grow the service area.

The best internet service i have ever used. Never had an outage, unless the power is out. Whenever Delmarva has outage in the area they text you and let you know beforehand just in case your internet goes out. Unfortunately I have to move into an area that they do not cover. They remain professional throughout the whole time Im with them. Truly recommend!

I have been a Why Fly customer since they launched a few years ago. I have been satisfied with the product and customer service since launch but recently the company went above and beyond their commitment by assisting me with an improvement to my home network (that a Comcast or Verizon would not handle). Their network engineer was courteous, knowledgeable and quick. I feel fortunate to have Why Fly as an option in our market.

This wifi company has terrible internet service. At least once a month their system just drops internet for a day and you get little to no updates on why it went out or when it will be restored. You’re better off paying for Comcast or Verizon.

Update: after reading the reply from the company, a few things click a little better now as far as what I purchased. I would like to say thank you to them for the quick response here as well as the info provided (I was unaware you sold them at cost, that is a huge deal and I want to say thank you for that too.) To anyone reading this, please read their reply as well (I am not editing the OP because I want context to still be there). There is still the issue with disconnects (for the time) but we are going to work on that together when Im not at work and can reach out to them. Thank you again WhyFly, Ill be in touch.Ive had to deal with this service because it is what the homeowner I rent from has and it is quite possibly one of the worst Ive ever had the pleasure of using. I lose signal (even with an extender) at least 5 times an hour. We recently upgraded our router through them; they made it sound like it was going to be a free upgrade and then charged us $80. I probably should have asked more questions, but it came across as being a free so I didnt. Then it took almost a week to get even though they said to get it the next day; there was never anyone at the building for me to pick it up. The reason upgraded is in quotes above is because that is barely what this does and certainly wasnt worth the $80. Between it cutting out frequently and the lack of high(er) speeds, save yourself the headache and time.

Customer service at WhyFly is top notch! They are very responsive and communicative whenever I contact them. Initial set up to contract termination (because I move out of state, not because of their service!) was such a breeze. The signal is pretty good as well. Whenever there is a disruption in service, they make sure to let you know. Highly recommend to go with WhyFly for your wifi need!

What you get for the price is definitely worth it. Its a great deal if you are in the Wilmington area. I would recommend it. However, the company is impossible to get in touch with. Their support number online is out of service and they dont allow cancellation of service online. Its truly a huge pain getting in touch with them when things go down.

An actually good ISP experience is novel in its own right but to be locally-sourced, server farm to table is an added bonus. They had lightning fast support response time and proactively notified about our infrequent brief outages. Only the most severe weather disturbs internet connectivity and even then the connectivity still allows for streaming video/internet browsing (though I wouldnt try gaming or video calling if theres a monsoon out there). Easily the best ISP choice you can make in Wilmington.

From installation to cancellation, WhyFly provided outstanding service.The installation technician was prompt, kind, patient and thoroughly explained everything to us.Service was very reliable, and WhyFly was always proactive with communications and notifications.The only reason we are cancelling service is because we are moving. Continously drops connection, kids cant do school work properly, always a different excuse for service being down, its at least twice a week,its unacceptable anymore! Looking for a new provider, just pay the extra $,for a much better service. They dont even try to condensate for there shabby shacks service, at take some money off your bill,for all the problems they have so often, just not worth the headache anymore! There customer service representatives are very nice! Its just horrible unstable internet service.

Update:So I talked to Nick regarding the internet service and some of the devices I have in home. Nick was very polite, very professional and put me at ease. He broke down a lot of stuff, sent me email references and offered a lot of advice and support.I really was 5 seconds into cancelling but he has completely lifted my spirits.I don’t normally change reviews because most companies don’t follow up or really try to connect with customers but Nick literally has made me a believer.Thanks again.

BEST ISP I EVER HAD. Install was seamless, service requests were answered instantly and workers went above and beyond to get my internet up when I had my one and only problem (and it was with the building, not them). Ive been a customer for almost a year now and Im glad to have an alternative to Comcast. Majority of the time I have no issues with their internet, but during storms the connection goes down for a few hours. Its impossible to reach any customer service rep during these hours. I would say this happens every 3 months? Its not terrible, but when I lived in a house with FIOS I never had issues.

Constant connectivity issues. I can’t watch a show without it buffering multiple times even when no other device is in use. Each time we call they say they are going to do things to improve the connection and it has never gotten better we have been customers since December. We will be switching back to comcast.

DO NOT use this service. This is the WORST company with the WORST service I have ever experienced!!!There is NO customer service and NO technical support. The owner of the company came to my apartment this morning and said he would be right back to replace the router. Have you seen him? I havent!!!No one answers the phone...you wait on the phone and some computerized voice comes on saying they will call you back...THEY DO NOT! Because of their ineptitude, I have lost a great deal of $$$.I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Delaware Attorney Generals office.ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!Think twice...in fact, think more than twice. I dislike Comcast as well, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

Great customer service, but the connection is often unreliable. If you have a job that requires that you work from home, there is no guarantee that you will be able to sustain an internet connection. This often leads to dropped conference calls where you are the host. They are probably good for casual internet, but I’m not sure if I could recommend them in a professional capacity. They are prompt in responding when you escalate the problem. It just seems that basic connection to the internet should not be a recurring issue if that is the service being provided. Still love their customer service over EVERY Comcast experience I’ve ever had. Hope you all can get it together. I’d hate to have to switch back to the dark side, but may have to for professional reasons.

I’ve been putting off getting Comcast because I’m not really a fan but my connectivity issues have been a problem as of late. I usually travel for work so I’m not home during the day but over the last few weeks the service has been very inconsistent, especially when I’m working from home. I’ve also had issues when streaming on my television, and I still cannot get Disney Plus through this WiFi. It’s not the worst but I wouldn’t recommend if you need consistent access to the internet.

After a few hiccups which were eventually ironed out temporarily and then permanently, service is as great as Ive heard it was before signing up. Even at peak time on a Monday night, speeds were more than quick enough to keep up with gaming and streaming. Would Highly recommend this company for anyone looking to cut lines with the big guys or just trying to get more for their money.

Dealt with some connectivity issues for a short while when I first started using their services. One of the corporate executives actually reached out personally to have a genuine conversation about why they had been experiencing some troubles. Within days they had resolved the problems as promised and I have not had problems since. You can’t beat the price, and they really do care at the end.

WhyFly is a solid alternative to the big conglomerates that seem to only care about getting money on a monthly basis than connecting with their customers. Honestly, the best part of WhyFly is how responsive they are with questions or service interruptions - you talk to a real person right away instead of a machine. The company is definitely still growing and some pains come with that - during primetime hours the service was sub-HD for tv/movie streaming as everyone fought over the bandwidth available in my apt building - but it wasnt a deal breaker. Overall, good customer service, great price and no contract. If youre in the Wilmington area and WhyFly is available to you, its worth looking into as an alternative to Comcast or Verizon.

I was a fan of WhyFly early on and reallysupported the startup due to my initial early success; recently however their service has effectively been circling the drain and have noticed consistent issues with connectivity working from home. I would strongly advise against this outfit considering their consistent lack of support and use of twilio, automated foolishness as their main support line.

A couple months in and so far no issues streaming movies, youtube or playing xbox online. Much cheaper than Comcast and so far no noticeable difference in internet coverage, their main office looks like a little shop in downtown Wilmington and you can walk right in and chat with the company heads so it has kind of a cool small business vibe to it.

I live downtown and have been loving my WhyFly internet. The connection and speeds are reliable, the install crew were great guys, its only 55 a month, and its not xfinity or verizon. So far there is nothing to complain about. Worth checking out!

Quick internet, excellent and informative technical support, and whenever the techs were in our home they were careful and neat. When a little glitch popped up WhyFly said they would find the appropriate solution and they did so expeditiously. This occurred without repeated frustrating phone calls having to be made!! ALL the folks at WhyFly care about the service they give and their clients satisfaction. Weve got excellent WIFI, people to call when we have technical questions, and new friends. I know WhyFlys slogan is AWESOME internet and I would happily say that it is indeed actually AWESOME. I live down on the riverfront and have had such a great experience with not only their internet - but also their installation crew. Im so glad I got to choose them as my service provider because when i moved in I only had one choice with Comcast.
