We can’t thank Pat’s Auto enough for helping us out when we needed it most! Our car broke down in CB (459 miles from home).. Thanks to our friends at Golden Sands Hotel for helping us get our car to Pat’s where they went above and beyond to fix our vehicle. Customer service was outstanding and the cost was reasonable. Not only was the staff friendly and kind, they got us back on the road. Pat’s Auto knows what they are doing. They salvaged our much needed vacation…. Words cannot express how grateful we are!

I rarely write reviews however, this business deserves 5-stars. I travel the country with a vehicle in tow that has a slow leak in a tire. Two tire shops in two different states were unable to detect the leak, they were more interested in selling a set of tires. I arrive at Pats without an appointment, $24 and 30-minutes later Im driving away with the nail in my hand they removed from my tire. Great service, thank you!

The fella at the desk is always so pleasant, and kind! The guys in the shop are friendly and work hard! Always smiling. I trust these guys. I’ve used them a couple times now because they’re close to my house! Definitely recommend them :)

We are visiting the area from out of state and were having some issues with our 15 seat van. These guys dropped what they were doing and gave me a few minutes of undivided attention. Awesome help and got us right back on the road

2nd time here. During my 1st visit, David said the brakes had a little life left in them so we would probably have to replace them next time around. So, on this 2nd visit, I anticipated having to replace the brakes in addition to having my oil changed. My car came out of bay #15 rather quickly. Definitely not enough time to have the brakes redone. David said they had little wear since the first time I was there. They could have easily just replaced my brakes but they didnt. How honest can one be? Especially a car shop! They have earned my respect and trust. Thanks Pats Auto Service!

As a woman I’ve always had a really hard time feeling confident at auto shops. However I happily recommend Pat’s to everyone and anyone. My mom, myself, my sister have always had amazing service with these guys. David & Dwight are thoughtful and clear when they communicate the problems that my car has. I was buying a new car and there is no one that I trust more when making this decision than the team here. They have helped us tremendously. They are always very fast and have a great waiting area with good wifi that I work in when they are doing quick jobs. 100% recommend this location.

Pats is a fixture in Wilimington, NC...our family discovered them in 1974 and have been loyal ever since. I am writing this review for my mom, who just had a great experience with her 12 yr old Chrysler Sebring...the AC motor was stuck in high, coolant was low, and it stunk. Dwight, who she says is really smart, really nice, pampered her. After a great experience, my mom way nearly joyous and said her bill was a blessing as she thought it would be more. I love this place. Competent staff, good service. I used to go to BSI but after trying Pats I found the prices are better and turnaround time is faster.

Pats is my go-to auto service center. I have been going there and relying on their excellent service for at least 5 years ... but likely even more. I trust them to deal with me fairly and honestly and to never suggest unnecessary services or repairs. Everyone is courteous and respectful, and I can always count on David and Dwight.

If you have not been their you dont know what you miss. They are A plus business. Best price in town.

They told me they could fix a knocking on my steering that two other shops said they couldn’t fix. It was all done very quickly. My car hasn’t felt this good to drive in years!

They have been my tire and auto place for a good reason they are the best in 100 miles radiaus of Wilmington NC. They do a Super Job....

I love Pats Tire Service theyre always professional and even though Im a big old long-haired biker they treat me just like they treat the little old lady or the attorney with the gold watch. They have fair pricing do honest work and they are locally owned so the money stays right here in the community to buy dance lessons and saxophones for kids. This trip had a broken valve stem I knew what it was going in they pulled the wheel cleaned out the fix a flat that had been put in the tire to get it home replaced it with a new valve stem and remounted the tire for less than thirty bucks go try that someplace else in Wilmington. I do most of my own mechanic work but I do not own a tire machine currently Im glad to have them here in the Monkey Junction area because its fast and convenient for me when I have a tire issue. All of the employees have been there for a very long time youre going to see the same faces and you can leave cash on the seat and they wont take it I even tried to test them a couple times just to see that may sound messed up but I need to know I can trust people. Five Star Plus rating for me.

The guys at Pats Tire were very courteous and patient this afternoon when I left my dodge charger with them, after my radiator went out, they also explained to me what needed to be done before I made my decision. I will for sure go back there whenever I need something done.

300+ miles from home in Carolina Beach on business hit a chunk of concrete which ripped through the side wall of my tire. Called Pats up next morning at 8:00 spoke with Dwight he confirmed the had the tire I needed and get the car to them and would be done by lunchtime even with a 4 alignment! The car was ready when it was promised and I needed it!! Thanks guys great job!! Also fair price!!

I am writing this review after I confirmed with Honda dealer and three other mechanics that my engine of 2013 touring that has only 59k needs to be replaced. This is happen right after I had an oil change at this place. All mechanics that looked at it said the cause was starting the engine without oil. Note that the only reason that I went there for oil change because I know the manager who moved recently to this place. I have confronted him with the facts and he said that he will investigate and let me know and that he doubted that they caused this because their mechanics have 30 years of experience. I was never contacted now I have to spent a lot of money to change my engine. My advise don’t take your car there.

All Around Great Service and experience !We were traveling across country when we came to this shop. I knew it was going to be an expensive job. We had a lot of work that needed to be done. Rick at the front desk gave me a quote on parts and labor and they got to work. Frank, the owner, gave me a ride back to our campsite at the state park which was super helpful. They got all the work done in a couple of days and came back and picked me up. When it was time to pay, my ticket was almost $200.00 less than what I expected to pay. Our vehicle has never driven so well. We had extensive wear on our car and they did a ton of work. Great job. Lastly, the mechanic who did the work on our vehicle, Dan, personally spoke with me on two separate occasions to recommend some service that he felt I should perform. I am glad I took his advice. We are back on the road with a safe vehicle for my wife and children. If you live close to this shop, you should give them an opportunity to show you their great service.

Huge kudos to Dwight and the Pats Auto Service Team!! Yall dont know this, but I drove to North Carolina to attend to my late mothers affairs after she passed very suddenly last week. I drove here from Colorado and was about an hour from my moms house when the engine started giving having troubles. I made it to the house and brought the car to Pats the very next morning where Dwight and his team quickly diagnosed and repaired the engine problems the same day. The expedited service was excellent knowing Ill be on the road again in the next day or two. Dwight, you put me at ease and took a huge weight off my shoulders taking care of my vehicle so I could focus on my mom and family. Thank you so much!

I love Pats! Ive taken my car here several times and Ive always been impressed with them! The staff is friendly and polite. I had issues with wheel bearings, took my car to Pats, they called me with recommendations and didnt pressure me into up sales. Quality work!

Really nice staff, I came in today to get my front brake rotors and pads replaced and my NC inspection done. Waited 2 1/2 hours, but I was told they had a long wait time and to me it is understandable since this place is packed and I didnt set an appointment. Went to 4 other places for qoutes on my brakes, Pats Auto beat everyone by $100. Great work, great staff, felt very fair and honest, see yall next year for my next oil change and inspection. One small suggestion, your lobby is nice, nicer than most auto care places, maybe invest in more comfortable chairs, couch perhaps? Thank yall again for the help!

Great service- friendly staff. Got me in 5 minutes after check engine light went on. Not only did they NOT try and find issues or extra things to add - they actually found the part did not need to be replaced and was just a loose sensor. Will definitely use for future repairs

Im sad to report they estimated over 430 dollars for front brake pads by saying I need rotors and packing grease. I showed the estimate to neighbors who said they would fix it. Neighbor said everything looked perfect except for worn pads. Shame on You Pats.

Told me they told me they would get me right in right away I sat there for an hour and a half finally I had to just leave just make sure they can actually get you in when they tell you, you can get in to get your vehicle fixed maybe they just try to bite off more than they can chew sometimes I dont know

They were very helpful. I had previously been going to a well known auto place in town until they tried to scare me into spending more money. Pats was recommended by a friend and I decided to give them a try when I needed ball joints. I was pleased with service overall and would definitely go back. My only negative is that it took longer than expected, which was frustrating trying to get to and from work.

This auto store has been a lifesaver since moving to Wilmington. My car has had many issues and I have had to taken it several times for different reasons. They have always been kind and knowledgeable and taken the time to walk me through the repairs. I dont think they are the cheapest in time but their prices are fair and the repairs of good quality. Would highly recommend

I took my car to Pat’s to get my tires balanced after getting New tires from another company and it was only $29! Other local companies were asking $15 per tire. I went early and was out in less then 30 mins! This is my shop for now on tires and all!

Although spending money on car repairs sucks, my experience at Pats Auto was excellent. I was able to call with questions, and they took time to make sure everything was explained. Estimate was super accurate. Also, they texted pictures, which was great because I could see what the problem was. Highly recommend.

I went in for a tire repair and service and I was in and out very quickly. The service was very friendly.

Had a oil change and a tire repaired. They gave me a list of everything they could find that needed attention. Just spend the time doing what I am paying for. Got home and 2 hours later the same tire I asked them to fix was flat. Second bad time in 2 months, I am completely finished with this place.

Do not go here:Took my car in for an oil change, only because Walmarts system was down for the day. As I waited for more than 2 hours, I watched them systematically approach every single customer about extra issues they found with their car. Sure enough, they approached me with 3 extra issues with my car. (They claimed all 4 of my tires are bad, even though another mechanic confirmed theyre completely fine.)Immediately after leaving, a fan in my car began making strange noises and the check engine light came on. I understand salesmanship, but theyre doing something shady.

I get my oil changes here very knowledgeable and professional mechanics. Better to go in afternoon as there busy on the morning.

A decent place to get your car serviced. The only negative is their wait times can be a little long.

I took my 2003 Ford Expedition to Pats Auto shop because I had a check engine light on. They charged me $60 to and told me it was the evap code. They suggested a smoke test which would have cost a couple of hundred dollars and then Im sure they would have found something else to fix costing several more hundreds of dollars. I took it to another shop for an inspection and the nice repair man told me about the evap code and he reset it, said it was probably due to the gas cap not being on tight enough. He said to drive it for around 100 miles to see if the light came back on, if not bring it back for the inspection. Lo and behold, the light did not come back on and it passed inspection. I would not recommend Pats Auto Service to anyone. They are not a honest repair shop.

I rarely complain or write. Took my SUV in Saturday with a slow leak in one tire. Arial told me when I came back from my 9:00 appointment at 10:00 they should be able to have it ready. When I came back at 10:10 they hadnt STARTED! So 25 minutes later Im done and on the way home with the repaired tire. My low pressure came on again this morning and by this afternoon (Sunday) wait for it...the tire is completely flat! So yes I guess I hated this service.

Great service, my alternator was going bad and now after having my car serviced and my alternator replaced along with a tune up, my car drives much smoother now. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

They were nice enough during an inspection to tighten up a loose and rattling part on my car.

Quite frankly, I have always been wary of auto repair centers because they have a reputation of ripping you off. However, there came a time when we had to take my husbands car in because the air conditioning was not and had not been working for quite a while. I should mention that my husband had some major transmission work done quite a while earlier. When we got their the staff were very friendly and said they would look at it and give us an estimate.We braced ourselves for a huge bill. When we received a call back from them we were told the car was ready to be picked up.We were told that there would be no charge for the air conditioning. They explained to us that when the transmission work was done the people who did it forgot 1 thing. They forgot to plug in the air conditioner. They removed the transmission (no small task) and plugged it in. Honesty, Integrity, and kindness. Pats Tire and Auto has me as a customer for life.

I have used Pats for over 13 years and have always been very satisfied with the quality of the work and the fair pricing.

Maybe Pats is good to some, but I cannot recommend this place. They seem pretty adept at hustling customers.

The guys are great, they act like there all family work together great ., You just dont get service like that anymore.
