The tire gauge on the dash showed the air in the tires was too low.I dropped in unannounced at O’Leary’s Automotive Repair at 6311 Carolina Beach Road. They were professional and friendly. Even though I didn’t have an appointment, Will came right out and took the car into the shop. A few minutes later he brought it back with corrected tire pressure. Then the lady at the reception desk said, “No charge”!I was very surprised and pleased. The last 2 times I attempted to put air in the tires more air came out than went in.Thank you, O’Leary’s!

I discovered my car battery had died when I tried to leave for work this morning. After getting the car jumped, I drove to OLearys. Rich was incredibly kind. They didnt have my particular battery in stock but he found it someplace else and had it delivered to the shop. While waiting for the car, RIch and I engaged in a nice conversation. It was so nice to be able to sit in a car service shop and have someone talk to you instead of being ignored. I feel like a was given the royal treatment and the pricing was very fair, excellent service work, and honest. Im very grateful to Rich and his crew.

Changed water pump for great price. After they finished the replacement and put it all back together they call me and tell me the timing belt cover (which is behind the water pump) was leaking. They should have called when the water pump and everything else was removed. Now they want to charge me all over again to rip everything out including the new water pump to change out the cover and gasket! Thats just bogus bad service!

Excellent customer service. I highly recommend you give them a try. Reasonable prices, free estimates, and theyll even give you a ride. Needed brakes on my F150, quick turnaround for my son that needed to get the truck back that day.

Very bad experience. Stopped in to see if my battery was bad or if I needed an alternator. The technician stated they could probably change the alternator today if it needed it. So, he takes my keys and drives my vehicle around back. 5 minutes later he comes back and states its a bad battery and it would be around $175 to replace plus the $25 fee to test the battery. However, they did not have a battery in stock any would have to order it. Never did he state there was a fee to test the battery and when I said I would just go to advance to get the battery and to please give me the report, he stated there was no report available as the system is just a hand held and doesnt print anything. So, he states the $25 fee and tax for the check which I paid and I said that was never shared with me and he statesprobably should have told you up front. I did go to Advance and they ran the battery test right in front of me - twice - and the battery tested fine. Feels like OLearys tried to rip me off for $200 when it was not needed. Not to mention the $25 battery check fee that Advance did for free. Ill never go back there again.

I know first hand they wont pay there employees despite the payment collection was their own managers wrongful release of vehicle. There current manager will never take responsibility for anything his position entails. Will also let you waste youre money on parts that will not repair your car instead of doing the reasonable thing and steering you in a direction to save money and correct the actual issues. Very disappointed in their character and approach to handling life scenarios. They robbed me I am certain they will rob you as well if you give them the opportunity. This is not slander all fact. Customers beware of these snakes in the grass. You will be bitten.

Every time I go there somebody is quitting preventing me from getting the repair done. Its difficult to trust a place that is expected to do repairs on your vehicles if they cant keep employees available to get the work done. Im not sure whats going on in the workplace, but apparently they need somebody to manage things a little bit better.

I have had two bad experiences here. First brought in my truck for a oil change and tire rotation. Pretty standard service. I have aftermarket wheels with faux bolts on them which are very obvious. The technician decided to try and remove the wheel by taking his impact to those faux bolts removing paint off the edges. Continued to try this on all four wheels before realizing the center caps needed to be removed. Second bad experience, my girlfriend went there for an oil change and rotation. When she got home I found out they charged her $103. We both have the same truck with the same motors. They charged me $73. When I called they told me it was more because they charged her for TPMS reset. Ive worked at multiple shops and have never heard of being charged extra for the required reset when someone pays for a rotation. I became heated over the phone because of catching them in a lie taking advantage of my girlfriend and his response was mabye if you change your tone Id help you! Never going back there and insuring all friends know to stay far away.

Came to the beach for a couple days and noticed a strange noise in my Jeep. Took to O’Leary’s on Carolina Beach Rd and was so glad I did. Dave took it for a drive then had Bob look as well. It ended up being a problem that is covered under manufactured warranty, so I then took to dealership. When I’m in the area and need sound automotive repair this is the place I will go!! Highly recommend.

Unless you are car illiterate I suggest you dont take your vehicle here cuz they charge way too much and from what I see the mechanics or service techs as you should call them the employees are basically the same as the express lane workers at Walmart or any other dealership. However they are Head and Shoulders above the Pro Lube guys.

Took my truck to OLearys on Carolina Beach Rd. In Dec of 2018. I had a water leak to which they said I needed a new radiator. Feeling like since they were a brand new store I figured they would really be out to make a good impression. Wrong!!They proceeded to charge me $250 (and change) for the radiator and almost $400 to install. $610 total bill. 14 months later I had the same problem.m My truck ran hot and I had to get it to the nearest shop to have it checked out. My almost new radiator needed replacing. I called Olearys to see where the radiator came from as most parts places give a lifetime warranty on their radiators. We it seem that Olearys cant find where they got the radiator. It is not marked at all and does not at all look like a 14 month radiator. It had major rust on the connections and the bolt holes where it was mounted. The whole side was leaking. After several days of phone calls and messages to Olearys district manager he finally call me back and said that the radiator came from car quest and there was no warranty besides their 12 month warranty. So, I called car quest, they tried to look it up and show No Record of anything sold to Olearys Carolina Beach Rd location. So, it appears that they put a radiator in my truck that was junk!!Again, radiators from oriellys, napa & etc had a lifetime warranty on the part. Even 1-800-radiator has that. But Not Olearys!!I feel that I was not only sold a bad part, I was WAY overcharged as well. Now I also feel that I was lied too about just where this radiator came from. My advise, stay away from this place!! I feel I was Ripped Off and they have not made any kind of offer to satisfy my situation. I would Not recommend this place to Anyone needing repair work done on their car or truck!!Ripped Off In Carolina Beach

I received my reminder for oil change in my email. I called and set up appt. I asked for a tire rotation and a brake check as I had noticed a bumping feel when I braked. The technician took my car for a drive. He alerted me to a steering problem. They ordered the part and provided me with a coupon and gave me a ride home! Thank you!
