Great service, competitive prices, and way less wait time (compared to tire shops down the road). Stopped in late Saturday morning to get two new tires along with my inspection. I was in and out in just over an hour! I’m glad I checked out Gene’s and I will be back. A lot of credit to the guys in the back turning wrenches, job well done!

Quick courteous service from a friendly staff. I stopped in for my yearly NC automobile inspection. I walked through the door, up to the counter and discussed the services I needed. I turned around, walked over to grab a magazine and noticed they were already driving my car into the inspection bay.The gentleman too about 10 minutes to do a good thorough inspection.Honestly, Id rather have a good inspection than a quick once over. Its about my safety and the safety of the people around me. Its not about time, its about human life.I feel like I got way more than I paid for here. Ill be back.

We (and several coworkers) have been going to Genes for years. They have always taken very good care of us. They have always been polite and personable, and we have never gotten the sense that any pricing was inappropriate. Not bothered by any waiting- all seemed within reason. We give 5 stars because we trust them and that is hard to find.update 2015 still very satisfied!

CON ARTIST. They will not give you a fee upfront when ask a question they will take your car hold it hostage and demand you to pay them without any Communication. Unprofessional and held my car in the back of shop I never delt with anyone like this. Be aware

I once brought my car to another reputable shop closer to my house and was told I needed some very expensive work done. I brought it Genes for a second opinion and saved myself about $400.00. What a great place! we had a nail in our tire while we were visiting from out of town. They fixed it quickly and for a very reasonable price. We also met the owner who spoke to us at length about Charleston where we were heading next and gave us great suggestions…. what a very nice person we thought he was!

I have been going to Genes for a few years now and have always had good service. This morning was no exception. After stopping in yesterday, David told me if I could come back first thing this morning he would get my van right in for an oil change and tire rotation. I did and they got me right in. Thanks guys for doing a great job!

Am really happy I found this place. I feel I can trust the staff. Never feel ripped off or pressured. Friendly, helpful, very fair prices. Great place for oil change on Wednesday. Get there early in the morning, it gets crowded. Waiting area not very pleasant, so take a book ;)

Took 3 hours for an alignment and a tire rotation. When I went in to pick up my car there was a heated debate about politics in the waiting room. When I rolled my eyes because I dislike politics... the owner claimed loudly which party he is affiliated with.Not very professional and my car should have been ready within an hour tops.

Called to get a quote and the person that answered the phone was so short with the 1st question asked that I was not comfortable enough to get a quote for the tires I need. Thank you for showing your real colors and saving us time. In reality rate should be negitive 5.

THE only place to go... Dave and his crew are the best. They only replace, repair what is needed and advise you when future work is required. Prices are competitive. They work on my 2004 and 1999 Volvo.

Not only are they one of the most affordable shops in the area, they are honest (how many times is that word used to describe a mechanic), and they are good with a broad range of Makes and Models. Ive brought an Acura here, 2 BMWs here, and a Jeep here.

Great place to go. Took my car there, which I was told would be upwards of $975+ for various things wrong with it. They found that some of the wires were disconnected and simply plugging them back in removed almost all the issues. So the other place was trying to rip me off.Honest, trustworthy, friendly, walked me through everything. Great!!

My husband brought my dodge caliber in as the heat wasnt working. They messed something up that caused the check engine light to come on, fixed the check engine light, but the heat still didnt work. Hubby brought the car back to get them to check it again, they said the heater coil wasnt working.... however, when I got the car back NO air was blowing from the vents. The dealership fixed the dial / motor that Genes auto broke. Im wondering if they got a new tech that just doesnt know what hes doing.... weve been here before with pretty good service. Maybe they just dont know how to fix a dodge.

Awesome place to go. Trustworthy, explains everything in detail, completely honest about everything. Complete opposite of places like Superior Automotive in CB, which are con artists.

This guy told me that my Hyundai Elantra takes full synthetic I politely responded, no sir I dont think so Im pretty sure it runs on conventional but he insisted that it was synthetic he was positive... so then I let him in on a little secret that I used to work at Jiffy Lube and change over there so Im a hundred percent sure that my car takes a conventional oil... he looked it up and wouldnt you know it runs on conventional... this dudes gip dont trust them

I went to Genes Tire to get an alignment .After they worked on it for 2 hours, they told me it was aligned so I paid them $75.00 and left. As soon as I started going down the road it was pulling a whole lot worse than it was before!! I went back 2 more times and its still not fixed like they told me it was .Clearly they were not being honest with me and they wont give me a refund

Got a good set of tires, much better and about the same price as the idiots at Walmart offered.
