These people just care about the money. I was involved in a car accident so I called them to see what needed to be done. They just told me to call the other insurance company of the person that had hit me. Also, the agent that I called didnt even ask if I was okay. I had been with them because they were cheaper but once I found other companies that could give me better coverage for less, I was gone. They also didnt work with me during COVID-19 happening, they said there was nothing that could be done even after I had told them that I had been laid off. Good bye National General sellers.

We first moved to Wilmington in 2007 and needed car insurance and they were the cheapest around at the time. Then we purchased our new home three years ago (2016) and got our homeowners insurance with them and got it combined. We moved out to Pender County when we purchased our new home and where we moved was not considered a flood zone area. However, we had water come up to our bottom front porch step during Hurricane Florence (2019), and so I called to see if we had flood insurance and was informed that we do not and they took special time to answer all my questions and called me back with a quote. They have always been so friendly and have high quality customer service care. They are absolutely the BEST insurance company to deal with hands down if you live in New Hanover or Pender counties!!!❤️✝️🇺🇸

If the rating was based solely in the friendliness of the agents Id give the maximum number of stars every time. Ive been using this company for a while and cant give 5 stars because of the aweful experience I had with the most recent insurance provider I was signed under through ACI. Atlantic Coast doesnt actually provide insurance, they act as an umbrella of sorts and are a link between a few smaller insurance companies and the consumer.I was also very disappointed when I took the time to look at my most recent billing breakdown. I did everything over the phone after an accidental lapse in coverage and just needed coverage ASAP. I trusted them to give me the best deal since Ive been with them over a decade and when I realized that the actual insurance policy cost me roughly 50% of the total and that the fee for using ACI as a medium, a credit card fee, an over the phone payment fee, a pay by the month fee etc made the amount double. Basically if Id have signed with the insurance company directly it seems Id be paying half of what I signed in to. I just learned this and havent called about it but will and will then update I cant rate them too poorly because the responsibility falls on me as the purchaser...I just didnt know that this was even something to look out for with insurance.

Terrible insurance company. Tried to charge me $1400 for a 8 year old car, then when I questioned them they told me that was normal. Did a little investigating and got insurance quotes from several other companies that were 1/3 of thier prices. Then got all upset that I cancelled saying that I signed up with them just to get insurance so I could get my license and cancel with them. (I guess people do that). Do not use them. You are warned.
