Airmax installed the new systems for our home on Pages Creek in the Porters Neck area, and they did an A+ job. As with any new system, some adjustments had to be made after the original install. Their response has been fast, and their technicians have been super friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. We also had a warranty issue, and they handled it in the best way possible for us which is what compelled me to write this review -- to say thanks. Im usually not a big fan of annual maintenance contracts, but with these guys I felt like it was definitely the right move. Given the importance of AC, especially July through September, and also in this crazy market where there can be a lot of fly-by-night subcontractors, we feel fortunate to have found Airmax. Im very satisfied with the HVAC installation Airmax did for me. They installed right before Christmas, and had it done in one day. The installers, Howie and Lorenzo, along with the others who helped were terrific. They were all extremely polite and professional. I really appreciated that they were tidy as well. I highly recommend Airmax. They charged less than OBriens quote, and I discovered that they offer two visits per year compared to OBriens one visit for the annual maintenance agreement.

They have been here for 12 hours so far and have worked nonstop to remove, replace, and repair the damage caused by another HVAC company. Both men are polite, respectful, and so very hardworking. They have literally worked all day to ensure everything was corrected and each time I have offered something they respond with “no ma’am it’s okay we’re good but thank you for offering this is our job and we want to make it right”. We recently had trouble with the upstairs air not keeping up with cooling and I wanted to have it looked at right away. I called and soon had an appointment set up for the next day. Ben was the technician that came to our home in Southport. He was prompt, polite and professional. He was careful to to wear shoe covers but more importantly he wore a mask to ensure our safety due to the virus. The ac is working fine. I would highly recommend.

Our HVAC unit suddenly died when it was over 90. We have a general service maintenance contract with Airmax. Called Airmax about 1 pm and they had a technician there by 4:30 that day. He quickly assessed the situation and gave us the bad news - the motor was dead and needed to be replaced. The part, sadly, was not on the truck and had to be ordered. He said it would be fixed the next day “unless there were no parts anywhere is the country.” He also told us what it would cost up front so there were no surprises. Got a call shortly after 8 am the next morning saying a technician would be there by 9 am. The technician arrived and within an hour, our house was being cooled again. Both technicians were knowledgeable and professional. The work was done quickly and expertly. The cost for everything (all visits, parts and labor) was very reasonable (less than what was quoted the previous day). I cannot recommend Airmax highly enough.

Air max recently replaced my HVAC unit with a new Trane, 3 ton, 17 seer unit. Three different crews were used, 1 crew for install, SKC for electrical, and an A/C tech for final inspection and refrigerant charge. I couldn’t be more pleased with how things went, each team member was professional and took the time to do the job right all while taking the time and care to protect my house and flooring. Originally I had requested a Trane 15 Seer unit to replace my failed HVAC unit, but due to supply issues caused by COVID there was going to be a delay in my installation. The owner of Airmax went out of his way to work with me and gave me a couple of options to support getting my HVAC installed in a timely matter. I decided to upgrade to a 17 Seer unit, not so much for the efficiency, but for the improvement in comfort that the 2 stage compressor allows. I can honestly say it was a good decision, the new HVAC unit is so much quieter and better at keeping the temperature stable than the unit it replaced. All in all, I am pleased with the service, price and the experience with the people at Airmax, and I would definitely use them again!

We just moved into a new home and got the old gas and go treatment and our heat pump broke on us within 3 days of us moving into the home. I contacted 5 different HVAC contractors and received a wide variety of estimates. Airmax stood out to me because their calculation determined we needed a 4 ton system vice a larger 5 ton system. I reached out to a third party in another state to do the load calculation and it became apparent that Airmax and the sales rep, Heins, provided the accurate estimate. During installation Lorenzo and Howie were fantastic, especially considering we were just hit with a Hurricane and current COVID precautions. They took the time to lay out protective material in all parts of the house they would access and were very transparent in the whole process. I am confident that I wont need to contact AIrmax again to get a new system installed because the system that was installed should last a long while! I will absolutely refer them to anyone that needs a good HVAC installer.

Airmax, as usual, has once again done a great and dependable job. Our compressor in our package unit finely went to ground. Airmax was at the house in a timely manner. They gave us a quote on two units that would do the job. The unit decision was made, and installed quickly. The job was completed in a day and looks great. All material was removed and the job site cleaned up. For the first time, in a long time, all areas of the house stay at a constant temperature.

Airmax installed and have maintained my heating and air conditioning for 4 years now. They have consistently and professionally provided good communication and service. The technician, Wayne was particularly helpful with a problem with my condensate pan during this summers check-up. I had been having moisture issues from around the airhandler doors for a couple years and previous technicians did not remove the doors and trouble shoot it. He found that the condensate pan was full and wasnt draining toward the condensate pump. 5 stars for Wayne! *****

I was referred to AirMax by the friend of a friend when my A/C broke down and needed a whole new system. I am fairly new to the area and had no previous experience with local HVAC people. My experience with them from start to finish was truly extraordinary. Their rep literally called me within 5 minutes of my person calling him to let him know I needed help. Within 10 minutes, he gave me a rough estimate of cost for three different options. He then came out with very little notice to formally assess my situation and followed up immediately with a written proposal. At that time, he also offered to bring me two window units to help keep my house cool until they could replace my system. Upon acceptance of my proposal, despite a very busy schedule, they worked me in within a 2-3 day period. The day of the scheduled installation, the service techs arrived right on time. They were very professional, knowledgeable and neat. They performed all their work with great care, so that when I returned, it looked like they had never been there. I cannot say enough nice things about all of their personnel from sales to office to installation. Highly recommend!

Air Max cooled us off. Water backed up in attic air handler shut down Air Conditioning on a 90 degree day.DJ quickly identified the problem and cleared the drain. But he recognized the root of the problem was that the exterior drain was low to the ground and grass clipping and mulch would clog it up. Simply drilled new hole and moved up a foot.Thanks to DJ short term and long term problem solved because of extra effort!

We are huge fans of Airmax! We neglected to register our unit, thus eliminating the warranty. The Airmax team worked with Trane helped us get a new unit with less financial pain than we expected. Their guys were nice, professional and got us cool in no time! These are the guys I would recommend to anyone needing an AC unit. They proved to me to be there after the sale...I really couldnt have asked for more!
