Visited this office for a unique circumstance. Not only did she give us false information, she was rude. After quickly following up with another notary (in Hazelton) to get the correct answer, Sharons notary locked the door on me and told me she closed early for paperwork. Seems she is uneducated on PA laws and doesnt want to do business at all. Not to mention the barking dog and your in my sights, I dont call 911 signs seems to me it is time to retire. Left extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Lady was HORRIBLY rude, argumentative and obscenely unprofessional. save your money. dont go to this witch.

Finally able to conduct some DMV business today in person and was given this business name. What a great experience!! The lady and young man were so professional, efficient and polite to me. Yes the prices are high but I have done multiple title transfers at Sharon’s. The service is excellent and they are transparent. Being available at later times in the evening is great for those who actually have a job.

Overall the service was not very good, it was kind of overpriced and I didn’t get a great feeling from the place. We didn’t put much thought into what notary to go to for a vehicle transfer, and the open hours at Sharon’s Notary were really convenient for us. The service wasn’t absolutely terrible but nothing to brag about. The lady there (Sharon I assume) was kind of rude. Regardless we were there to get the transfer done so we could drive our new vehicle home.The price seems fairly high we paid $851 in total with our sales tax being around $500 I’m not sure what average pricing is for all the paperwork/ services but based on past purchases $351 was pretty high.A concern I have with this notary is that they don’t accept checks. They only accept cash or credit card. However if you use credit they charge you 4% I’m not sure why they don’t accept checks, maybe they’re afraid of check fraud? It seems unprofessional and inconvenient to me as a customer.Another concern that isn’t quite as relevant is their “emotional support dog”. I am all for dogs in workplaces, I’m all for emotional support dogs and service animals. What bothers me is the emotion support dog certifications hanging on the wall. As far as I’m aware there is no such thing, and to have a Emotion Support Dog all you need is a letter from a licensed mental health provider. Either they were led to believe in some internet scam or are passing the dog off as something it is not. It’s spreading false information and while not relevant to the notary service it makes me question them as a business. Also on a side note the dog is massive. I believe they said It was a lab mix but the dog is very overweight. I don’t recommend this place but I also don’t entirely detest this place.

I would not recommend no one to go to her! She clearly knew all we needed was a Title transfer. To show up and she did Registration and Title. So $117 dollars not needed to be spent. The kicker to it all she stats- well leave new license on and turn old one in to Penn Dot. BUT the form she gives you clearly states the license plates you turn in not to be used. Wait you want me to turn in old plate that been used for years. Stating they will take it and we will get the $89 back. That we will have to eat $28 for the plate. Well read Penn Dot form she gives you there a number. We called it and they stat she doing us dirty. Go back to her demand our $28 back for the plate. Have her re-issue old plate back on our vehicle. Then we can turn the new one in and get our $89. If we didnt call Penn Dot and walked away. This lady would of got us. Maybe you to. Go to Krate n Freight. I regret I didnt go there. We went here because it was close to work. Sorry we did. I wouldnt even give one star but have to so I can post!

Does not know the law for out-of-state used vehicle purchases. Insisted that the out-of-state seller has to be present within the state of Pennsylvania at the Pennsylvania notary to get a title, which is not the law. She and her son kept reading to me from the section of the website for new vehicle purchases. This is after I asked to see the law she was referring to her, so her son flipped open their binder, and stared blankly at the page when he found nothing. Neither the website nor the statute nor the regulations nor the PennDOT fact sheet for out-of-state used vehicle purchases says anything about the seller having to travel to PA, especially when the state of purchase has no requirement (or even place for) a notary attestation. Was also very rude during the entire encounter, which is especially disappointing when she does not know the laws that apply to her business.

After transferring my 1/2 ton truck there, I received my registration from the DMV that it was registered 3/4 ton truck, which would have cost me almost $100 more. I went back to Sharons Notary and they did nothing but charged me more money to fix it and took no responsibility for their mistake. Will go elsewhere next time!
