Made a reservation 2 months in advance they called me the day before to make sure I was coming. I said yes. Never asked me what time I was picking up the car. Got there and was told because I didn’t pick it up at 8:30 am it was gone. I said why would I pick it up at 8:30 when I’m at work. They didn’t try to fix the problem just said sorry. The people at this place should all be fired. Very unprofessional!! A phone call would have solved the problem not rent my vehicle without a call.
Honestly Im in disbelief this place has good ratings.. only 1 car on the lot for me, this rental car has been in a collision they didnt fix aside from jamming the bumper back on.. fender well is flapping, passenger rear wheel bearing is howling, has NEVER been cleaned in its 35k mile life, hair, coffee, dirt, everything all over dash, console, shifter area, carpet. Things a total mess. They also dont understand the car was paid for on behalf of a corporate account and required a credit card to finish the rental. If I didnt have to leave immediately for business I would have walked over to enterprise next door..
Worst place ever employees are absolutely disrespectful, made reservations for a vehicle over two months ago only to be told the day of pick up that I couldn’t have my vehicle because it was given to somebody else due to me not being there for 8 am! My reservations were made for it to be picked up by the end of the day. I even called 30 mini before arriving and wasn’t informed my vehicle was given to someone else!
Worst place ever. Reserved a car just to get there and they have no cars available. Like cmon then thwy say oh we have one SUV thats it but extra 40$ totally unprofessional. So unprofessional they made me write my first google review ever. And im 35
I had trouble renting a car from Scranton because they were closed due to covid. They let me register a car online despite this, and never called to tell me that that office was closed. They then sent me to wilksbarre where they only had one vehicle and charged me more for it because it was not the car I had registered to get online. I go to bring the car back an hour before my scheduled time and there is not a single person here. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for someone to finally help me. What a joke.
Im having issues rite now I reserve a car pay for it and there telling me no reservations were made they wont I call the number back it rings then hangs up I spoke to Marshall Hendricks they had no problem taking my money .
Literally the worst. Was in a horrible accident with my wife and 3 small children, and our car was totaled. They sent a Toyota Corolla to pick us up.... so 5 of us, and 3 being in car seats. Then we went through the whole billing procedure when we finally got to the store and they were trying to have us rent the Toyota! We couldn’t even buckle the car seats altogether in it! We were also asked to charge over 1000$ of our own money (State Farm was covering charges for rental) for a special insurance. Every time we asked questions they couldn’t fully explain it. They charged our car for $50 before we finally said we would go next door to enterprise. I asked the lady if they $59 would be going back on our card and she said “uh I think, It should I think”. We went next door to enterprise and were in and out in 10 min in a mini van.
Hertz staff here are top notch! Easy to get to your car and go. Always have cars available - I use this location often.
The Midlothian, Va location is great and the manager and staff and polite and professional. I never had an issue at this location.
After hitting a deer, I needed a car since mine was on the way to the shop. I called another office in the area and they said they would give me a call a couple hours from then. I then called the Kidder st office to see if they could set me up sooner and come pick me up. Without hesitation, Miranda, got a driver en route and got me a vehicle to accommodate my families needs. Both her and Samantha were terrific to work with and very friendly. I would use them first if I needed anything in the future!
Eh. Is what it is. We had some miscommunication and ended up being overcharged, employee argued with my wife for 45 minutes over the phone. In the end they never rectified the overcharges. But the rental itself was reasonable and the car was clean.
The staff at this Hertz location were very helpful with my rental. The pick up and drop off service was appreciated.
No problem first time renting.So i wont give five stars .Will wait till next time to see more of the great service.
We broke down and got stranded on our way to New York City from Cleveland Ohio. We had to catch a Uber a half hour just to get to the city and all the rest of the rental places denied us! Hertz really saved our vacation and didnt break our pockets. Thank you guys so much!!!!!
Manager Vince was awful. Will never rent a car there again. Terrible customer service. He told my daughter that she needed additional coveragewhen she didnt. Do yourself a favor and go to Enterprise.
