Great experience! Very knowledgeable. So far at the 500 mi mark on my newly rebuilt and upgraded transmission I feel the work was done very well. I am confident bringing my pickup here was a smart move.

I will NEVER EVER BRING MY CAR TO HIM AGAIN!!!! He has had my car for 6 weeks he says he is waiting on parts but didn’t order them till 4 weeks after I had my car towed to them! I leave messages and he cannot call anyone back! Please do not bring your car to him! Totally ridiculous

Poor customer service. I caught Bill in a lie. He kept arguing with me and denied it. He told me to not call back again, and hung up on me. The guy does not know how to communicate. He sounds like a serial killer on the phone. He is not a people person and has no business answering phone calls. Bill should be fired. I will be forwarding my complaint to Cottman.

I explained my situation. At first they were nice and helpful. Then it took a week to find problem.Money was an issue. Company made it seem possible for minor repairs.After transmission was torn out their wasnt an option for that. Price was outrageous..

Very satisfied. When evaluating my 2013 Traverse, they took the time to explain what they found and what my options were. They did a complete rebuild with updates. Excellent warranty and maintenance followup. I highly recommend. There was a delay in getting my vehicle, it was due to the one snow storm that delayed delivery of parts. Thank You

Update 4 stars to 5 stars... 3 yrs and thousands of miles later and the repair has not give one moments problem. I found this Cottman Transmission location to deliver nationally trained high quality chain store quality with a down home friendly atmosphere. The corporate culture at this location was so mom and pop it blew me away. Many thanks.Original rating. 1100 miles from home and the transmission made a very loud noise and left me stranded on I-81 at Wilks-Barre PA. Got a free tow to Cottman Transmission and met the staff. Friendly and polite. Bill OHara store manager broke the the good news... not a transmission only broke an axle. 10% the cost of a transmission. In at 8:00 am out at noon with only the appropriate repairs. The Cottman Transmission at this location has good people - Highly recommended!

PARENT ALERT! If your kid goes to school in the Wilkes Barre area and has a car problem of any kind...this is the place to bring it. Daughters car had what sounded like a transmission problem over the phone from 100 miles away, but wound up being an ignition problem. They took care of it at a fair price and made her feel comfortable about the whole process. Highly recommend!

I had a clutch assembly put on & it was reasonably priced compared to other estimates by the few garages in the area that do clutches. But that was in Jan 2018. I went because an axel seal that goes into my manual transmission is leaking. They said nothing is wrong with it whatsoever. I know this is untrue because my garage man at Savitsky Auto & Mavis Tire alerted me to the leak. If i listened to them, my car would be damaged completely. One of the staff mentioned that i have a used car like i have the plague or something. Saw all big & expensive vehicles in lot.

Cottmans has now worked on both my car and my wifes car and has done an amazing job on both. They are very receptive and very understanding with what you ask them to do and are able to help in a time of need. Bill was very personable and is great to work with. I have and will be referring everyone I know to them. Thanks again.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was quoted a price to rebuild a transmission when the took it apart the price went up 700.00 to give it back the way I took it there it was going to cost me 595.00 for the same way I took it there. This place is not worthy of any thing

Had my transmission rebuilt 2014 through the dealership i bought my car from they went out of business and i need proof transmission was rebuilt Cottman refuses to give me anything because i didnt pay for the rebuild even though they were quick to swipe my credit card for the deductible...
