They were a third part delivery service. My order sat in their warehouse for 2.5 weeks and they wouldnt deliver it because it was outside their delivery area. Wouldnt return calls to schedule delivery. When they finally did deliver my order it was 1.5 hours outside the delivery window without so much as a phone call to say they were running late. Extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend.
This company was hired as a 3rd party delivery service, the first piece of furniture they delivered had an obvious giant hole in the side of the dresser, when asked about it they said that we were just their to receive it not inspect it? The retail company had to set up for them to come pick the item back up from us .. once Kings got with us to confirm pickup with date and time.. they no called no showed on a monday. I had to call them back FOUR TIMES each time being told I would get a call back. First it was oh maybe the drivers lost paperwork, then it was truck problems, then it was meh Ill have them call you back... so it didnt end up getting picked up until that Friday when coincidentally the new dresser had come in. The second delivery guys were very nice and made sure the new dresser wasnt damaged before they left.I understand things happen, but communicating with the customer is a very easy thing to do. So if you like waiting, with no response, and excuses, use them.
Had a bad experience a few years back with unpacking but as of recent, Bree and Anthony changed my views on Kings Moving (packing). They were very professional and met every one of my expectations! I’d hate to have a ton of people request these two, but your belongings will be in great hands if you get them!
If I could rate them less than 1 star, I would. This was my 5th military move and I cannot believe how unprofessional and rude they were. They showed up around noon (due to other issues at their warehouse, so they said), and basically told me theyd unload everything for us to take care of. Normally, the moving company unpacks all boxes, sets up all items that were taken apart at the previous base, and removes all debris. They put together the beds, and thats it. They said all other items were not their job and that I needed to contact someone else to come to the house and finish the rest. There are still unpacked boxes all over the house (see attached photos) and they left trash everywhere, to include nails in the driveway/street and an exacto knife. When I approached the lead guy, he got sarcastic, saying, this girl wants you to put the couch together and pick up some trash, I guess. When I was signing the paperwork before they left, they were extremely pushy for me to sign, even when I said I was not comfortable with signing that I was satisfied with all services. After all was said and done, one guy came back and said, Sorry, boss just wants to go home. At this point, it was 7pm. I understand it was later, but if time was an issue, they should have stopped earlier and came back the next day. I would never recommend this company, and cannot believe they are still in business.
If you like listening to excuses, this company is for you.
Great place and great owner
Kings moving delivered a large package for a treadmill to my house. Their job code was only to leave it at the door, but at my request they hauled it upstairs to my gym room. I really appreciated the efforts. Taylor in particular was very helpful and accommodating of my schedule.Would highly recommend these movers!
One word,horrible. How this business can stay operational with the abysmal post-move customer service is beyond me? Six months out from our move, damage to my T.V. with initial promise that it would be taken care of promptly. After that, crickets. Tod is never available to communicate, always out or unavailable. Run, run very fast from this business.
We had a great experience with the whole process. Everyone is super easy to work with and answered all of my questions right away. The crew the cake to load the truck did a great job and were very friendly. Looking forward to getting my belongings at my new house this week!
These guys are horrendous. Never able to find paperwork. Never able to call you on time with updates, let alone know where their drivers are. Extremely unprofessional! Took them almost 3 weeks of failed delivery attempts to deliver my bed. And thats after I stayed on them constantly checking up on them. Would not recommend!
One of the worst experiences I’ve had moving. They deserve negative stars.They showed up at my house late. Two of the worker almost got into a fight in my front yard. One smelled like weed so bad he had to leave his jacket outside on the porch.After taking 3 times longer than anyone who’d ever packed me up. They took off to the location where my stuff would be stored. The following Monday I’d gotten a call from them. My motorcycle and turns out other stuff had been stolen from their storage location.After finding a house here in Texas. They stalled bringing my stuff down. When I finally did get my stuff. I was so angry with all the dealings I’ve had with them. I just wanted them to drop my stuff and leave.They still charged me for a full unpack and assemble (which they did not do). Do not use these idiots, they are the worst movers ever.
I had a local, military, move through this company in November 2017. During the move, the movers would not help me unpack because they stated they would just “leave everything in the middle of the floor” for me to deal with. After the movers left, I began inspecting the items they put together. My child’s bed is split because they used their own screws, my dining table has a large chunk of wood missing from it, my leather couch has gouges taken out of it as does my coffee table. When I attempted to contact this company, I never received a return call. I contacted the military moving office who contacted them for me and I was finally, a month later, able to speak with Tod King. We discussed my damages and told me that he would be having a surveyor from a “third party” contact me. It is now September 2018 and this company continues to avoid me/ignore my calls. If anyone knows of a corporate number or someone else I can call that would be great. Please take my advice and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you value your possessions and like courteous, prompt, respectful people handling your property DO NOT USE KING’S MOVING.
They held my purchase for 17 days without delivering. Zero communication from them. I called probably a dozen times and only got an actual human once who told me they didnt have anything to deliver for me. Shipper finally set up a delivery window and 2 1/2 hours past the end of it, Im still waiting... I cant think of a worse delivery experience.
They recieved the item on Monday but could only deliver on Thursday. Confirmed delivery from 2pm to 5pm on Thursday.At 6pm the company I ordered from called and was able to get a hold of someone (amazing it didnt go straight to voicemail) and they were advised our item was on the truck and running about 20 minutes behind...It is now 8:15pm on Thursday and nothing has been delivered.I called earlier and someone was supposed to call me back and that never happened. No one is there past 5pm.
They made my delivery almost a week early at my request. They called me 30 minutes before showing up to make sure I was home, and covered my delivery with plastic as it was pouring rain that day. The two gentleman that showed up were quick, courteous, and professional.
This company and crew has moved us twice. Once from Tulsa to Wichita and now to Denver. If you have ever had a bad move you know and appreciate a good set of movers and these guys are that!!! They are so careful with your belongings and take the worries away!! They are awesome from pack up to delivery!!! Highly recommend them!! Will never use anyone else!!!!
Trust all of the negative reviews. I do not know how anybody who actually used this companys services would give a high rating. We were rescheduled for the survey of our home 2 times before it was accomplished. That was not a big deal but it definitely foreshadowed the type of services we would experience. They were supposed to come and pack us at 8 am. They called at 9:30 to let us know they would be late (they were already 1.5 hours late at the time of this phone call). During this phone call they told me they would be arriving at lunch, no later than 1pm. It is now 1:23 pm. We called them to get an update and was told they are one hour out. We are still waiting. This is comically unprofessional at this point especially after reading the rest of these reviews. The one positive is that they are actually taking our calls unlike other reviewers have experienced (so far). I will update as the day(s) transpire and change my now 1 star rating as applicable.*Edit 6:09 pm same day: this companys movers and dispatch person have awesome customer service. They were all apologetic for the inconvenience and very pleasant while packing my home. The dispatch person even came out to start packing by himself until the movers came out which was above and beyond my expectations. Their awesome attitudes and chipper personalities turned this experience completely around so far. Good customer service and a good attitude goes a long way. I have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars after considering my treatment from the management and the workers combined. Now just waiting for the move/unpack. Will continue to update as applicable.
Run fast! Do not use this company. They are completely unprofessional on the office side- not returning calls or e mails and failing to schedule deliveries on time. Furthermore, the packing job they did was awful- I think we paid for more packing paper than we did our actual home items. Most boxes were mislabeled and full of paper. The initial quote was off by more than 3000lbs resulting in a second shipment needing to be arranged when if they had packed efficiently all could have been done in one load. We are still missing bed parts and have several broken and damaged items. Our card on file was already billed but we have not received final invoice. Just do yourself a favor and choose a different company!
Lets put it this way, the only reason they are even getting a star is because the delivery team was far better than the office!They started by scheduling me on a day I couldnt take off. I called and left multiple messages to reschedule the delivery. The delivery day I got a call saying they were 30 mins away. I called back and told them I couldnt take off work and Id been trying to call them to reschedule the delivery. They told me to call the office to reschedule, so, I called the office and told them I needed to reschedule. The lady said she would get me scheduled for another day, which worked for me. I took off the day she said I was scheduled for. When I called to verify I was still on the schedule, the same lady told me I hadnt been scheduled but she would get it out to me that day. I waited another 2 hours before calling again, and again, and again, and again only to get her voicemail every time I called. I FINALLY got hold of her and she said they would be there between 4:30 and 5. They called at 4 and said they were loading it up and would be here in about 45 mins. They showed up an hour and a half later.
I’m so disappointed with North American Van Lines. I can’t believe they are in business today. Don’t use them. They are horrible. We contracted with them and they loaded on the date specified. My phone with a credit card went missing and was located in the cab of the semi. They were supposed to deliver the furniture on the 17th of June. Their contract gave them a ten day spread. When the 26th rolls by and after several calls to them with promises they would get back to me and I would have to initiate the call, I was told it would be July 2. Then when that didn’t happen I was told July 6 and now after contacting them I’m told no earlier than the 15th. I don’t believe it’ll happen on that date either as they can’t guarantee it. The belongings are of two people in their 80’s. When discussing compensation for this horrendous delay I was told to buy an air mattress for them and they would compensate 50% of it. Really??? You’ve got to be kidding me. Their contract is full of outlandish charges if you don’t full fill their terms but nothing is stated if they don’t fulfill theirs. My parents will have been without their belongings for a month IF they deliver as stated now. Unfortunately I don’t trust them nor believe them. Most likely legal action will need to be taken just to get their stuff This is not right and no company shout e allowed to prey on their customers like this
This place is horrible the only nice thing about it is they are not charging us from the four extra days that we have to wait for our stuff to get here. We have had to buy new cooking utensils and pots and pans and glasses to be able to eat. The fact we never get a response from our emails three days is ridiculous when you say you check your email everyday. The worse of all is being charged a extra $900 for the extra weight we had when they packed all the stuff and they knew what was going into storage for over a month. This company is managed by a horrible chicken man who cant even call back customers himself to apologize leaves it to the lady in the front office. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE HORRIBLE SERVICE.
Our stuff arrived 16 days late! They yelled so much at my SO that she ended up crying. We had to call them multiple times before they would answer our calls. 4 out of 5 times, you will encounter a voicemail. It took them 2 days and 3 attempts to send me an email. They asked me to call the following day and then took the day off. This is objectively the worst business I have dealt with in the last 5 years!

This place is horrible. Not only was our stuff 10 days late getting to Wichita but once it did get there we had to wait another 10 days for them to deliver it. Thats 20 days that my family was sleeping on an air mattress, had no to sit on the floor, and buy all new dishes and kitchenware so we werent eating out every night. The lady we spoke to on the phone to try and get it delivered sooner was rude and could care less that our stuff was almost a month late.
One of the worst experiences of my life....run!
