Repaired the Onan generator for my RV. Showed me very important washer that often falls out when owners do repairs without necessary experience. Welcomed me to call or stop by with any questions. They also have a great picnic area to use if waiting for repairs. This was particularly helpful because customers are not allowed inside at this time due to the coronavirus. Thanks.

PartsIve ordered parts more than once for my Cummins engine. The sales people have been very good.ServiceI called the white bear Minnesota store about having a exhaust manifold installed. Was told it would take 7 hours if everything went well. I took it to a local guy he had it done in two and a half hours and didnt charge me $150 an hour.

Amazing customer service by their Shop Supervisor, Jordan. My husband and I know nothing about generators and were under a serious time crunch to get this thing fixed. He was up front about costs, explained a couple of the issues that we could potentially be looking at and per our request, he called us to give us updates. It is seriously the cleanest mechanic shop I have ever seen and obviously very organized.

Cost was three times what a skilled technician would’ve spent in time diagnosing a rather simple failure of a remote start panel. I would urge anyone with generator issues to avoid this shop at all costs!

If you need a generator looked at, do not take it here. My husband called and made an appointment to have our Onan generator in our horse trailer looked at because he told them he thought it was shot, but wanted a professional opinion. My husband was NEVER told that there would be a charge, just to have them look at it the entire time he talked with the guy to set up the appointment. My husband drove an hour to drop it off, and as he was dropping it off, the service guy tells him that there will be a charge of $288 to look at it. Really???? You couldnt have told him that over the phone before he drove an hour??? Since he drove an hour to have them look at it, he left it there. Before looking things over, they tried a few things to try and start it. It would not start. So then they looked around in it to find a mouse nest inside, wires off, and that the exhaust was broken at the flex. The technician called my husband and told him it wasnt worth fixing. It couldnt have taken him longer than an hour to look at, but they still charged us $288. I asked how long it took, and the service manager said total time with office time fees was 1.25 hours. Then my question is, then why are you charging me for 2 hours? I had a really hard time believing that we were charged $288 just to tell us it wasnt fixable. So, I called their sister store in Wisconsin and made an appointment to have my generator looked at, like I was a new customer. The service technician explained to me that it wouldnt take over a half hour for them to look at it and tell me if it was fixable. I asked him how much at most will it cost me to have you look at it. He said they charged $125 an hour, so at most it would be $65. That is far different than $288. My recommendation: Unless you like throwing money down the toilet, I would not go to Cummins in White Bear Lake. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!!

Amazing operation. Nice facility; appointment necessary but they actually look at your vehicle at your appointment time ( vs. reqiri g your vehicle to be there indefinitely while you watch for a technician to have time to look at it.).

I have not had anything serviced here but thier parts department is terrible! If you dont have part numbers for them they will complain about it. If there is anyone at the parts counter in front of you it will take 30 minutes till you can even talk to anyone, I have literally waited an hour to get parts I had on will call.I also did a return and they wouldnt refund my card and they were going to need to cut me a check, from Indiana. Ive been waiting for a month and still havent seen it. The accounting office blames parts and parts blames accounting. The only saving grace the parts department does have is that they stock many of the common ware parts.N Power did contact me after the review to see if they could do anything for me. I thought that was pretty decent of them! I did get my refund but it did take the better part of two months.

I had my truck into two different Peterbilt dealers for the same issue. Indiana Pete had it for 16 hours and could not find the issue. MN Pete had my truck for 12 hours and they said there wasnt an issue.I came into Cummins, same explanation that I gave to the truck dealers. 2 hrs latter and a quarter of what I paid, my truck runs great. They have all the tools needed to troubleshoot it. They didnt just throw parts at it.Turns out, didnt need parts. It was a plugged check valve.Save time and money by coming here first.03/31/17

Dont go during closing time.... Just stopped in for some restore and restore plus coolant flush chemicals at 9:45pm. Service counter guy doesnt know what it is but doesnt bother looking it up either. He just tells me to hold on and goes to the back, he returns with one gallon of restore plus. I ask if they had the regular restore also, he tells me he probably just shipped it out earlier today. If he shipped it out... How has he never heard of it?I ask if he can check the computer to see if they have any elsewhere just to make sure. He says he cant because he doesnt have a part number. Strangely, the rep I talked to a week before was able to look it up when I called in. I just gave up there and told him Ill just order it from the phone rep.

Do not recommend this facility for any RV work. Of the 11 Cummins Power club facilities I have been to, this was the worst craftsmanship experience.Had a major repair done here for my motorhome when we were left stranded. Had to wait five days on site until they would work on it. They were nice enough to provide power. They have two shifts, but only assigned a tech to it on one shift until I complained. They reused parts that were found out of spec, when we broke down less than 120 miles away after their repair. They also padded their labor, overcharged me $2,000.00, and took three days to fix. The three days was understandable as it was a significant repair, but waiting 5 days was ridiculous. We broke down within 120 miles after their repair. Though unrelated to breakdown, I found my wires on top of the engine rerouted with alternator harness resting on the exhaust manifold, I had to correct, but thats an indication of poor workmanship. Second facility made us a priority, and we were very pleased. Another five days down while they fixed it. Drove another 100 miles, and another issue from White Bear lake emerged. They had zip tied a cable up but did not verify its new position. The positive from battery to starter was now resting against the muffler. Ended up melting through heat wrap, insulation, and arc welding a hole in the muffler while cutting power to the coach. Resulting in a call to good sam and a 2-hr delay.Continued on another 300 miles, and noticed operating temps were higher than normal, by 10 deg f for coolant and RV was consuming coolant. Made it to in-laws house and had to wait 8 days while new facility had to troubleshoot the issue to do the same job a third time, and took two days to do the job.End state. Delayed at this facility for five days before they would work on the RV. Had to have three seperate facilities do the same repair within three weeks. Lost 8 days of vacation at White Bear Lake, 5 days of vacation at second facility, and 10 days at third. What should have been a cross-country vacation turned out to be a horrible workmanship experience.

I authorized 3 hours for diagnosis of an Onan R V generator. They claim they have 5 hours into the unit at a cost of $800 and they still don’t know what is wrong! When I got upset, Kevin Bertsch hung up on me. When I called back and asked for the general manager I was referred to a non-existent person in White Bear Lake, MN.
