I obtained my Private Pilot Certificate last week and did all my training through Fly There LLC. Ive flown with Jared, Jacob, and Johan mostly with Jared. Jason is the owner and hes a great guy as well. Theyre all great pilots and youll learn a lot from each flight and theyll make sure to keep you safe. The planes are top notch. As of this writing theyre all basically brand new with G1000. They do a good job keeping them in service. I think they pay extra to have the inspections done priority because the planes are not out of service for long. Planes are clean including the engine so you can be confident in their reliability. Communication is good - youll get the cell phone number of whoever youre working with and theyre quick to respond. Also theyre amazingly flexible. I was surprised it was so easy to schedule my night flights at 830pm or find an instructor who could meet me early at 7:00am. Also if youre looking to buy a plane theyll help you understand things you need to know and help to get you pointed in the right direction.

I used Fly There to get my private pilots certification. I needed to get it done before I left for college and they worked very hard with me to set up a calendar to make sure I passed before I had to leave. All the instructors do a great job helping you learn in a minimal stress environment and understand how to fly through the ground material and using that in action. They really make it feel like you and them are working together as a team to make you pass and make it very fun as you progress. The planes were all relatively new and in great condition. Overall a great experience.

Fly There is one of the best flight schools ive ever attended. My CFI Johan was very professional and is a great teacher. I earned my commercial with him. I also worked with Jared and Jacob. Jason is the owner and is very professional and courteous as well. This is a great place to fly, they have the latest and greatest planes with the G1000.

I am a safer pilot and I spent less time in training because I decided to train with Jacob at Fly There.After deciding to get my private pilot license, I did an introductory flight with two other flight schools at Chicago Executive Airport. My experience with Jacob and Fly There was quite different (better!) from the others. Safety was the primary factor I used to evaluate each of the schools, and it was clear from our first conversation that safety is equally important to Jacob.Every lesson was planned ahead of time and fit in with a well-organized curriculum. Jacob is an excellent communicator and teacher, which helped with both time savings and information retention.

I was introduced to Fly There when I was gifted my first flight lesson and was hooked. Now that I am a private pilot, I am a regular with Fly There because they have several new aircraft that are well maintained with advanced avionics. They are very professional and always available to answer questions and offer advice. They have become friends over the years and would recommend Fly There to anyone looking to take flight lessons or aircraft management services.

While FlyThere may not be your cheapest option, their commitment to teaching you to become a safe and capable pilot is worth every penny. During my tenure as a private pilot student, I never felt like a single moment of my time was wasted. My instructor, Jared, worked with me at each step of my journey to make sure I understood the why behind each maneuver and ground school topic. He recognized my learning style and tailored each lesson to best suit my individual needs. This experience far exceeded even my most wild expectations, both in terms of the skills ive acquired and how much fun learning to fly could be. Most importantly, Ive gained the perspective that being a pilot means committing yourself to a lifetime of learning. I plan to continue to lean on FlyThere to be a partner as I continue my journey in aviation and could not recommend them highly enough to any future student.

The team at Fly There are top notch! I started my flight lessons with them in June, and had a fantastic experience. Jared, Jacob, and Jason are consummate professionals and I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering learning to fly. They also have newer aircraft with modern glass panels and low time compared to other schools with ancient equipment.

First class operation. I started at another flight school that was less than impressive. Jason and Jared at Fly There are amazing. Their equipment is new, clean, and well maintained. They have developed a well documented curriculum that allows for an easily understood progression towards whatever goal you have as a pilot. Scheduling is easy and flexible. Jared teaches you what you to need to know rather than telling you You learn the why vs just the how. I could not recommend these guys more.

Just last week I finished my PPL with Fly There after training weekly in the 2nd half of 2020. My entire experience working with Jason was phenomenal -- the professionalism, flexibility, attention to every detail, curriculum content and cadence, after-hours support, quick responses for anything I learned on my own that I wanted to speak through -- I could go on and on -- was an incredible experience and one that I would recommend for anyone starting out (or continuing) their training. I was able to train on my own plane -- and when my annual went long, I was able to transition to a Fly There plane thanks to great instruction and support. The aircraft Fly There trains on are second to none, including an advanced simulator for the days that the weather does not cooperate. I also worked with Jared and Jacob to get experience demonstrating what Jason taught me -- and they too are the real deal. My only regret is my move out of town means I won’t be able to start my Instrument Rating with the team.

FlyThere LLC is one of the best flight schools in the Chicagoland area. I started my flight training at another school at Chicago Executive Airport and did not have a good experience. The team at FlyThere LLC was on top of their game for my whole flight training. Even in the worst-case scenario student Jared still came up with a plan to try and finish me in time before going back to school. I was on a time limit as I wanted to have my private pilots license before going back to college in the winter, Jared and I had a conversation toward the end of the summer and we made a plan to get it finished up before the start of January. Although Jared made no promises to finish before my deadline, we were still able to get it done. The whole team at FlyThere, Jason, Jared, and Jacob all worked diligently and was able to work me into the schedule a couple of times a week. Although I came to FlyThere with some hours already and was in a weird spot in their training outline, my training experience might be a little different than a new student starting their training with FlyThere. Although I can say that in every lesson I did I felt like I was accomplishing something and getting better at my skills. There was never a time where I felt like I was being gauged in terms of money or time.When looking at flight schools to finish my rating, I was mainly concerned with a place that had a training outline and was able to get me done, while at the same time being respectful of the money involved in flight training. The rates at FlyThere were comparable to other flight schools in the area and their planes are some of the nicest available for rent. All three of them are C172s with G1000 avionics. The rental rate was a good deal for what you are getting. The instructor rates are also very reasonable and for what you are getting, a bargain! All the instructors I worked with very knowledgeable about the things they were teaching. I can mainly speak for Jared Dellinger as he was the CFI that I worked with most. Although the handful of flights I had with Jason and Jacob were fantastic as well.If you are looking for flight training in the Chicagoland area, youve found the right place. This group of devoted, knowledgeable CFIs will get you on track to where you want to be.

I have been training with Fly There for about a year now. Although I am taking it slow with limited availability, the guys give me 100% attention and reach out often to ensure I am always moving forward. You will not find a flight school quiet like this one. Very personal flight training experience. Jared is a very knowledgeable instructor. I wanted to get my Private pilots license before going to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, so I started here in October 2018 and earned my private pilots license and was ready to fly at college at the same level as a student who got their licenses through the university. They have 2 brand new C172S, which is a rare thing to have and maintain at a flight school, but Jason and Jared do it phenomenally. If you are considering flying, dont do it anywhere else.

Cant say enough. Truly a first class experience. I did my private pilot training with Fly There in roughly 6 months while continuing to work full time and be a full time dad (and deal with setbacks from winter weather and then COVID). I began my flight training at Lansing (KIGQ) then moved to Clow International (1C5) after my flight instructor took a job elsewhere guaranteeing him more hours. I uprooted once again from 1C5 to KPWK after moving from Chicago to the northwest suburbs where I finally found a home with Fly There LLC. Great airplanes, facilities, scheduling/coordination/services and above all else... people.Jason and his team at Fly There team have done a great job preparing me for all phases of achieving the VFR certificate. Shout out to John Korinke as he spent a good deal of his life this past year in the cockpit and conference room getting me ready for success in the sky. I regularly rent from FlyThere, and I also received my Instrument Rating with them. After years of flying with FlyThere, I have nothing but good things to say. All of the planes they rent out are well maintained, and the instructors are very knowledgeable and easy to get along with.I did much of my flight training with Jared, who is a great instructor. He is always able to keep things fun, while simultaneously maintaining a serious training environment. Most importantly, you can tell he wants to be there. There are many other flight instructors in the industry who are clearly just doing their job in order to build flight hours as quickly as possible, then move on to an airline job. Jared is not one of those instructors. He genuinely wants to help each person work towards their flight goals.

I took lessons from Jared for a period of time recently but had to stop due to a medical issue. I found Jared to be the consummate professional and a very patient and understanding instructor. He was always thorough with his explanations and provided further instruction if I was still not understanding the concepts. The equipment is new and in perfect running order. Overall, I was very impressed with Jared and the operations at Fly There. I am really sorry I will not be able to continue with my instruction. It was a lot of fun.

Jason conducted my initial flight training after purchasing a PA46 Piper Malibu Mirage. It was a fantastic experience to fly with someone who has deep knowledge not only the aircraft and its systems but flying the PA46 by the numbers with precision. We covered pressurization, engine management, emergency procedures (including rapid decent (very cool)), the Garmin 650/750 along with the rest of the program.However, the best part of the program was just flying with Jason. He is a pleasure to fly with even while shooting approach after approach in order to properly cover the full gambit of approach choices. I would highly recommend Jason for any flight training given his professionalism, knowledge base and ability to instruct. Well done !!

FlyThere is a top-notch flight school. Jared was instrumental (no pun intended) at getting me to the finish line with my instrument rating. He is the perfect balance of patient, strict, kind and fun to work with. He had a great way of teaching me without letting me get too stressed out, yet I always left our lessons confident that he was holding me to the highest standards. I would for sure recommend him for anyone starting or advancing their pilot training. Jason was also very helpful giving me a second set of eyes. He runs a fantastic flight school and they have a beautiful 172 available for training/rental. I did my homework to check out other flight schools nearby. I’ve been a student and aircraft owner at Fly There, LLC since its inception. Jason is a conscientious instructor and takes care of my aircraft without the need for me to do anything. He is a perfect example of a motivated business owner who cares about what his clients want. I go to bed every night knowing that he puts safety ahead of everything else.

I got my IFR certification with FlyThere LLC. I selected this school for several reasons: The planes had gramin 750 and 650 avionics, they had a 172 and a piper archer; I was also very impressed by Jared and Tosh. They were happy to design a program that was tailored to my experience and knowledge. I had already passed my IFR written exam and so they focused more on flying than theory that I had already passed in.In the middle of the training they switched planes and got a brand new 172 with G1000. This was the avionics I was hoping to fly with after my certification so it was great to get experience on state of the art avionics right through my training.Jared has been a pleasure to fly with and learn from. He is very knowledgable and is happy to impart his knowledge. I found that I had learnt several bad habits in my VFR flying and Jared was only too happy to point them out and then develop lessons for me to work on eliminating those bad habits. He is the most patient instructor and I am sure while I must have caused his blood pressure to rise through my sloppiness on numerous occasions, he was always encouraging and would find something positive in what I did and the put my errors in context and encouraged me to do better next time.Their facilities in Hanger 5 are well maintained and well stocked with refreshments. The conf room and offices are clean. The plane is hangered vs tied down in the open. So even in Chicago winters when the mercury dips to below 15 degrees F, their planes were able to fly as the engines were not very cold unlike most of the other schools in this area.No recommendation would be complete without areas for improvement: some suggestions for Fly There: clone Jared; get a few more new planes (another 172, maybe a 182 and/or a cirrus); and get cirrus standardized instructor pilots (CSIPs).Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my training at FlyThere LLC and learnt a lot. (I also successfully passed my IFR checkride). I very enthusiastically recommend this school to any VFR or IFR student.

Whether you are looking for initial or recurrent flight training, Fly There LLC is a great choice. In my more than 30 years of flying experience, I have flown with many flight instructors, so trust me when I say Jason Unger and his CFI team are first-rate professionals who are motivated to make sure you have a safe and quality training or rental experience. Finding the right flight school is not an easy undertaking and, in my opinion, the most important decision you will make early on. I did a lot of online research and spoke to as many pilots as I could find to get their input. For me, the best option was Fly There and I am SO happy that I chose them. I trained in the Archer - feels and flies like new with new avionics. The FBO at KPWK make everything easy and were also always helpful with any questions regarding FBO operations. I trained exclusively with John - again a personal decision to have 1 CFI instead of multiple, but a few others in the club use multiple CFIs. John was always punctual, patient, professional, and kind. More importantly, he was honest with feedback regarding my performance. My flight time and ground time were always productive and fun. I found training in a Class D airspace as invaluable and being so close to multiple other airports made it easy to practice communicating and navigating different airspaces on a consistent basis. After the mercury gets consistently above freezing, I will be continuing my training with John and getting my IFR certification. If you are shopping around for flight schools, definitely give Jason and his crew a chance to get you in the skies.

I recently completed by BFR with Fly There and can report that the staff (Jason and John) were great to deal with and that the Archer I flew was immaculate (Spotless and new interior), updated with phenomenal avionics (Garmin 650s, Aspen & Stec 55 w/Flight Director) and a pleasure to fly. The BFR flight and ground portions were great experiences - and were capped off w/logging 6 approaches in their Full Motion Sim! Needless to say, I will be back and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a plane to rent, sim time, some dual, or ground instruction/currency. Thx guys and keep up the great work!
