One of the better PF in the State. The greedy owners will not pay the staff what McDonalds or Wal-Mart makes. The staff are very unhappy but super polite to you for the $15 a hour they get.

Excellent staff. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I dont have photos right now but can supply some if you need them. Im proud that I kept my exercise up after curves closed down.

This is the best Planet Fitness I have been to. The workers there are all so friendly, and they do a good job with cleaning their facilities as well. The members themselves could do a better job with cleaning the equipment after theyre done using it, but overall its a great gym to price ratio.The only reason why its a 4 out of 5 stars would be that the bathrooms and dressing stalls could be cleaner, but like I said their customer service is great.

After 14 months of absence, I finally got vaccinated and felt comfortable going back to the gym. As there is no mask mandate in Lakeside, masks are now recommended and I must say that Im surprised how many members (including myself) are choosing to wear masks out of an abundance of caution, and consideration for fellow members. The gym is every bit as clean as it always was before the pandemic, but certain equipment is out of service to allow for appropriate distancing. The staff is as friendly and helpful as always, and the ongoing precautions are a benefit to my comfort level. Its great to be back!

The Planet Fitness facilities I have visited are clean and come complete with friendly staff. I really love the variety of equipment and benefits, including the hydro beds and hydro lounge; the perfect way to end a workout. The infrared sauna with the power plate is by itself - worth going for! Amazing health benefits all-around! I have and will continue to highly recommend :)

This was my first time coming to this gym. And it was crowded and the showers were dirty. There was no disinfectant spray to spray down the shower walls and curtains. The staffs were friendly and nice. But they all stayed at the front desk and once in a while one of the staffs spots cleans. All in all this was a dirty gym.

The staff is friendly and greet you as you come in and leave. Plenty of spray bottles and paper towels to wipe down equipment. Bathrooms are clean as well.

I recently joined lakeside PF and I love it. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is whoever cleans the mens restroom/locker room isnt doing a good job. The same crud has been on the floor and urinals for weeks. Other than that I enjoy my workouts and would recommend PF to anybody.

This is a really nice gym with a lot of nice amenities. I had to take away one star due to the free weight section being really small and there hydro beds are out of order often. People do a decent job cleaning after themselves and just do there own thing. The staff is really young but friendly I’m sure if you ever needed something they would at least try to help. Besides the gym they also have full locker rooms with showers. If you pay for their premium membership you get Hydro beds tanning beds and body sculpting included. Or you can get basic for $10 a month and just work out not a bad deal. I just really wanted to point out that they added blow dryers in the men’s bathroom not sure what that is for?

I dont know why more people dont join here! The best $10 I spend every month - plenty of room and machines to use. Always clean, and the front desk staff is really friendly. A great gym for regular people trying to get in a good, full workout.

Usually use the PF belleview, but was in the neighborhood and decided to check this one out. Typical PF but did notice a lot of the machines do seem to be on the older side. Crowded, but didnt have to wait to use any machines. Could be just being more familiar, but I find the staff at my regular PF to be much friendlier in general

Buyer beware! This location ended up taking several months of payments from my bank account even after I requested my membership be canceled. After seeing the charges on my account, and bringing it up with the manager I was told that there was nothing they could do because the old manager (high turnover) never made a note on my file about my request to cancel. Pretty convenient for them.

Lots of machines. There are always many open. I never have to wait for what I want to open up. Very cheap at $10 membership. Cancel any time.

The staff is amazing and their fitness acumen is second to none. Stand taller, lose weight, perform better in sports? They can get you where you want to be!

The music is way too loud most days. 99.9% of people wear ear buds so they can listen to their own music; why force your music on people? Otherwise its a very good gym.

Always enjoy PF features. The new shower heads in Lakewood are like bathing under a waterfall. :-)

Very cozy vibe, very clean. I love planet fitness, but I especially love this location. The staff is mostly very nice. There’s one girl who doesn’t seem very enthused or motivated to help me out when I’m standing at the counter waiting for someone to let me into the black card room, but she gets around to it eventually. Other than that, it’s not likely you’ll see me at another location. Thank you for staying open during the craziness!

The lady at the front desk not know anything about PF policies. Such an arrogant employee!

I have never had a problem with the staff here and they have all been friendly with the exception of the lady at the desk Kendra. Not only was she extremely rude to me coming in, she was very unprofessional and overwhelmingly rude to customers before me when they were attempting to make a payment. Really considering not returning on account of Kendra’s behavior.

Clean facility, courteous staff

Staff are nice but inconsistently enforce mask rules. Members are often wearing masks around their mouth only; sometimes they take the masks off entirely as they catch their breath. I even saw the staff member last night chatting with her co-worker at the front counter with her mask around her neck while she ate. She pulled it up when we passed, but it is emblematic of their approach to mask wearing and enforcement. Not safe for people who are vulnerable.Update: Increasing review from 3 to 4 stars. The manager called me and talked about the efforts they were making to enforce mask wearing. To be fair, they are in a hard position, especially when people understand the rules yet flout them as soon as the staff persons back is turned. I returned once since our chat, and everyone was wearing a mask. Fingers crossed, this continues!

Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive staff. Very clean facility practicing and enforcing social distancing guidelines. I had a medical emergency while there and the staff was quick to respond, understanding, non-judgmental and accommodating. When I returned to use their facilities again, they were caring and helpful and asked how I was recovering. The manager is amazing and went above and beyond for me. I couldnt be happier!

Very, very clean, friendly staff and a nice locker room. This is generally a great place! I also think they do an extremely good job of making the vibe very comfortable and not too ‘bro’ like. The black card perks are also great, especially the hydro-massageHere’s my only complaint, thus 4 stars: when I asked why there were no free barbells they said that was a ‘power lifting thing’. What? Like to just do a bench press or squat with a free bar is powerlifting? Craziness... I hate Smith machines, they are dangerous for your joints and feel terrible, and this is all they have to replace having no free barbells.In my opinion, they need to rethink this single aspect of an otherwise great business model.

Just started going again and Ill be honest even with wearing a mask I kinda like it better. Its nice knowing you have your own space to workout in and they always had good cleaning policies even before corona.

Love going here because we love to shower here and use their bathrooms when traveling through co!!! we had been camping and needed a place to rinse off and clean ourselves and this was the perfect place for all of that and more. my bf has access to the spa part and gets free massages too when we go there. its an all in one package! i get what i want and so does he. and we leave happy and clean! will return when back in the area!

Car window smashed in the parking lot and my wallet was stolen out of the glove box. When I mentioned this to the front desk employees they said there had been a number of similar incidents lately. Obviously nothing was done to try and keep their customers and their customer’s belongings safe.

Convenient, clean, Staff are responsive and courteous. The club is responding well during this crisis with wide range of time available and no limitations on how long you stay. All equipment is in good working order and spaced to adhere to distancing issues. Stay active consistently is key and Planet Fitness partners well with that goal.

Great gym for the low monthly fee. At this time, it never gets too crowded and the equipment is adequately distanced. For the most part, people are great about wearing their masks properly and wiping down the equipment after use. Staff are constantly cleaning too.

The gym is fine nothing special but the staff and management is poor

In my teens and twenties when I was a meathead, this place would not have been acceptable for me due to no barbells for real lifting. Im too old now so this facility is fine. The massage and tanning beds certainly make up the difference. Markus is very helpful, and Jackie (sp?) is kind a patient. Well done.

The male Planet Fitness staff must know about this issue if they wash their hands in the men’s room, but for unknown reasons they don’t want to fix or replace it. Also, it’d be great to have more than one tricep push down attachment for the cables considering this is one of the most used pieces of equipment in the “weight room” area. 5 stars when (if) these two very obvious concerns are addressed.Edit: subtracting a star. Planet fitness responded, but the paper towel dispenser in the men’s room still does not work.

I love that the Lakeside facility is big and roomy. I LOVE the Black Card Spa. I use it every day after my workout. There is variety of shows on the many monitors. Kevin the Trainer ROCKS. Love having classes available for my 5:30 a.m. workouts. The cleanliness is really good. The Locker room has ample lockers and space. Good showers too. The staff is attentive. They remember what I like in the Black Card spa. I appreciate that in them. I wish there was some sort of swimming or exercise pool or hot tub type of benefit. Thats the only thing lacking at Planet Fitness.

Great place to workout

Really happy with this location. I did a 30 minute cardio session with Kevin Smith and he was great. He pushed and encouraged me, but respected my limitations at the same time. He also made sure I was doing everything correctly so I wouldnt hurt myself. Love that. Super friendly guy who gave me an awesome workout! Thanks again Kevin! The facility was very clean and the staff welcoming and friendly.

Its been great coming here. Staff is friendly and make a notable effort to keep everything clean. Ive seen them remind people to wear masks properly, sanitize the bathrooms multiple times, refill cleaning stations and more, all during a 1.5 hour workout. I appreciate everything theyre doing!

Every location Ive been to I have a good workout. Clean, availability of weights and machines. The hardest part is just lacing up them shoes. But once im there i can get in a good workout.

Awesome pla to work out with my wife

I have been a member for about 3 years and overall this gym has cost and size working in its favor. It has the space to accommodate busy hours and the fees can’t be beat. There are a few things that they seem unwilling or unable to fix, this might be a corporate thing. For example, during certain times of day there is blinding sun shining on the squat machine which I complained about and was told getting a shade on the window was basically impossible. It gets hot by the weights in the summer, asked for fans that never manifested. The gym is also pretty dirty most of the time. There are no squat racks, online smith machines, and limited barbell weights, this is likely a liability thing and I guess a sacrifice for the cost. The ab and 30 minute express sections are a waste of space. They are rarely used. Needs another squat machine and more stair steppers. Again the best thing about this gym is the space, I was at 24 hour before and could never workout efficiently due to crowding and that is rarely an issue here. Might start looking for an alternative with better weight lifting equipment.

This is a great Gym. Its very clean, staff is very friendly. It really does not get too crowded, except for the after work crowd. But what gym isnt.Great amenities of Black Card holders.They staff are extremely diligent about cleaning and making sure members are following the mouse requirements. in fact, a lot of the members are very diligent about cleaning up after themselves as well. Knock on wood I hope this gym can remain open for as long possible

PLEASE turn the music off it is an absolutely terrible playlist and way, way to loud. Every single person in the gym has their own headphones in but the 180 db Lagy Gaga bleeds through headphones and makes it impossible to enjoy your own music

Its not crazy busy like some gyms where I need to constantly wait to use equipment. Its so new and has a lot of options with any kind of fitness gadget you may be into. So many areas to specialize your workout for that day and its just a pleasant and clean environment. Whats not to love?? Plus, you can look outside at the lake and ducks from the main area.

I have been a member here a while now i use it for the showers. I had the guy at the desk was rude to my guest and a friend i brought for the day pass he forced them out of the restroom at 3 am telling them other members wanted to use the shower.. This was after calling the cops on us for being in the parking lot to long.. I complained to management and didnt get very far he told me he would talk to him. Now i dont feel comfortable going to my home gym i may even cancel and go elsewhere

Went back to my gym for the first time. Was unable to work out as I forgot half of my things I needed. Settled for a tanning session and a good shower.

The manager Lauren at this location is so unprofessional and rude it was unbelievable!!My daughter and I went in to sign up and she was chomping her gum in our face during her very unprofessional explanation of the gym, etc, which she was unable to answer our questions without being extremely rude. She also didnt fully disclose the rules and fees. We could only stand her attitude for about 10 min before wanting to leave. When I asked several times who the general manager was she told me she didnt have that information. You would think as a manager she would know...Its unfortunate because we were literally going to sign up 3 people with no need for a sales pitch as we were all ready to join until we spoke to her.I like Planet Fitness but I have to question what that gym would be like with someone like that running itUPDATE: The General Manager Tyler reached out to me and was extremely helpful. Tyler handled the problem very professionally and gave us several options to make up for the bad experience. He was very understanding and took the time to check back with me even after our initial conversation.I would now definitely recommend this location based on the customer service I received from Tyler and his persistence in rectifying the situation. Its a beautiful new club and the rest of the staff was friendly as well.

The staff is super nice and no fuss. The gym is always really clean. TV channel choices are pretty good. Overall, I love this place. Perfect spot to run in during the Winter months.

The gym is nice, its a franchise location so dont expect anything to intimate or specific. But they do offer some nice amenities that are great for the working professionals. I hate the TV screen on every single thread mill that automatically turns on every 5 minutes youre using it.

They treat you so well!Im a large (fat) man and honestly the slogan of No judgement is so clearly true!The other patrions are kind and not the typical meat head, jock or ultra health nuts.Every minute I spend here attempting to loose weight and get healthier I feel accepted and great!The facility is clean! I know I already said that but it is crazy how clean it is! The locker room is immaculate! The showers are spotless, I dont feel dirty after showering!I strongly recommend this location!

After a string of bad experiences with other gyms, we made the plunge to try Planet Fitness. We travel full time, and the ability to bounce around the US and always have a Planet Fitness available seemed like a great idea.We have been with the gym for 1 month, and already having billing issues. When I called in to resolve the issues, I got the classic you need to come in. The manager told me that I was assessed a late fee because they could not bill my checking account directly. Somehow, the account number was entered incorrectly, and instead of calling to let me know, they assessed me late fees because of the error on their end.While clearing up the issue, I asked for a refund on the late fees, I was told that although it was an error on the account being entered on their side, I would not be able to get my late fees back.We are looking for another gym.

I like this Planet Fitness. The staff is nice and the facilities are what you would expect; if not a little nicer than the norm. The exterior of the building is nice and looks new. Always plenty of parking in the lot.No area inside the gym really feels crowded at all. An entire wall is dedicated to free weights and benches which is really helpful. Also, their black card spa is well appointed with plenty of massage options and a separate entry so there isnt too much pass through traffic.All in all, no complaints at this time. Everything has been clean and in good working order thus far. Keep up the good work.

Super clean, friendly people, no attitude

The staff is always super friendly and helpful, the gym is kept clean and isnt to busy most of the time. I love the large windows overlooking the lake and they play good music over the speakers in case you forget your headphones. The free lockers and key holders are also a nice touch. Love working out here :)

My experience at this location has been great. I really appreciate Eric, he is the first person on staff that I got to know. He provides great customer service and always greets me when I walk in.
