DO NOT TAKE YOUR VECHILE TO THIS MECHANIC! I took my short-bus here when I came out of the gym one day and was having electrical issues. The problems displayed aligned with a dead battery or loose connection. After four days of working on my vehicle, tearing it completely apart and replacing the main circuit board, they threw in the towel saying they had couldn’t fix it. They also had no recommendation for anyone in the city or even state. I am a traveler and not from here, so, I was pretty upset with this news and desperate to get my vehicle fixed. After hundreds of dollars in labor and parts and paying for a rental car for days I found someone else in town who seemed like they genuinely wanted to help me. I had it towed to their shop and they had my vehicle fixed in a few hours!!! As I suspected all along, it was simply a loose connection from the battery to the starter. He found the loose screw, tightened it, and the bus has been working absolutely fine ever since. I want to believe that this was just a HORRIBLE MISTAKE by this mechanic, but given the circumstances, I feel like this shop took advantage of the situation knowing I was far from home with little options. I spent so much time and money stressing about my vehicle, this shop made me feel absolutely hopeless when it was in fact a very simple, cheap fix… by a better shop.

Where to begin ? STAY AWAY FROM THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS !! I have a 2005 f 250 6.0... took it to them with engine light & ?s about the front end. THEY GAVE ME A WRITTEN QUOTE FOR 13,000.00. They said it needed injectors... turbo... oil cooler... steering box... tie rod ends... ball joints & proceeded to tell me the truck was not worth 13K. BUT they would buy it for 8K.... LOL. I believe this may be a theme from them. BE CAREFUL!!!Buying things back for cheap by telling a customer it is not worth repairing in order to buy themselves to make a huge profit !!! As they did the exact same thing to my son who had them look into a problem with his 7.3. They Told him it needed head gaskets to the tune of 9K... They offered my son 5K to buy his truck. WOW !! COMPLETELY WRONG DIAGNOSTIC ON HIS 7.3 !! It was over heating because the thermostat was bad. Cost of repair 200.00 !! Now back to my truck. I Took it to FORD FOR REPAIRS... FORD installed a new steering box. COST $ 950.00... FORD FOUND THAT THE EDGE TUNER WAS BAD & CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH CODES FOR INJECTORS & LOW TURBO BOOST. THEY REMOVED THE TUNER & WAH LAH HAS NOT THROWN AN ENGINE LIGHT & RUNS JUST FINE FOR OVER 2,000 MILES... COST $149.00 TO DIAG & REMOVE TUNER. Colorado Land replaced 1 tie rod end the drag link & an alignment. COST 650.00. SO I PAID P.W. TO DIAG MY TRUCK THEY GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR 13,000.00 TO REPAIR. OFFER ME 8K for my 2005 f 250 with 85K miles...Fox dual shock chrome suspension... 40 x 15 wideTires & wheels... not even a door ding in the truck. The tires & wheels cost 8 K !!!! BOTTOM LINE... I WAS ABLE TO FIX & REPAIR MY TRUCK FOR.... $ 1,750.00. Has had zero problems SINCE REPAIRS FROM FORD DEALER for over 2,000 miles & is still running strong. This was my experience with them. I would not recommend them at all. Also love the reply from this shop that a wire/short problem was fixed because it was jarred from a tow truck towing it to different shop... WOW !! REALLY ?? STOP... JUST PLEASE STOP !!!

Knowing I was leaving on vacation and having intermittent starting problems, Nick and John worked the truck into their busy schedule to do a diagnostic on engine. No significant problems were found, but peace of mind knowing the truck was looked at is important.Kudos to Performance Wise and their staff.

These guys are a scam. Ive had this truck for 15 years and never failed an emissions test till they tested it. They said it failed at 98%, I took it to another tester the next morning and passed with a max of 13%. Failure is at 30% for those that dont know. Not sure if it was an operator or an equipment error on their part.

Went in for an estimate they came out with some teenager looked at my truck never hooked it up to anything then said it would be $6000 did my research and everybody else charges less even the dealerships they’re more interested in money then quality work would not use this company again for anything Do your research before going to performance wise.

Well went back for my emissions test for the second year.first years great in and out. This year I went back and was told that last year the emission tack Mets the fact that I had an after market Catalytic converter and it failed test. Spoke with Johny who was not helpful or apologetic about the issue.. my advice find someone who wants to stay i business backing up their work. And yeah I own a business never would have done this to a customer....

I had the clutch, flywheel, and hydraulics replaced in my 20 year old truck. I hoped that a place called performance wise Diesel would have been willing to install a nicer aftermarket clutch like Valair or South bend but they dont even have a vendor for nicer stuff; instead they could only get a power torque from Oreilly auto parts and charged me $2500+ . They also called me multiple times to up-sell me on my services including $4500 to replace my oil pan gasket. yeah $4.5k+ for a gasket!? I dont think so... after that I called up my pal that is a diesel mechanic for big trucks on the western slope. He told me $2500 for a clutch I should be getting any clutch that I want in the truck and that would still be a little steep. It was too late to find someone else but I wont be back and I dont recommend them to anyone.

We received a Diesel emissions from performance wise diesel on my 2011 Mercedes sprinter last year 2019...great service! friendly! and efficient very professional...but this year completely different It’s pretty simple I know my vehicle!!! After they pulled my sprinter out parked the technician came in lied right to my face stating that my car was an all wheel drive that is why they couldn’t do a emissions test and he even Stated he seen my front drive line!!!They didn’t start making all Wheel Drive Mercedes Benz sprinter‘s until 2014-15...

When I pulled all my service invoices to dispute their lame argument one guy walked away and one guy told me he would happily diagnose my truck. I get it. Your way of making more money from a “woman” who you think may not know diesels. If I could give you a zero star I would. Go anywhere else but this place. What an absolute waste of money. Completely appalled by this place. Will leave this same review everywhere I can.

Super nice and fair. They fixed my entire fuel system in my diesel truck after another dealership tried playing games with me. They fixed my truck and always informed me of what was going on with it. They even went through my warranty company and took care of everything for me. I recommend them to anyone looking for diesel repair. Quality work

They have done emissions inspections for me a few times in the past on my 2011 Ford F-350 dually 6.7L and I was happy with their service, but when I went in yesterday to get an estimate on replacing the rear brake pads and turning the rotors, he told me it would cost $850 for the same work the Ford dealer had quoted $350 for. When I asked why so much, he said it was because they do things the “right way” there. I presume this means the right way for their cash register. Unless you just enjoy being ripped-off, I suggest you take your truck somewhere else for repairs.

I have been coming to Performance Wise for several years now. I have tried a few other places throughout the years but still always come back.First off, the team is always friendly and outstanding. Whether it has been a month or 3 months, with a reservation or without, I am always greated when I walk in the door by my first name. That always impresses me. Nick usually is the one that I talk with and his customer service skills incredible.The location is impeccable. It is always clean and I know that they take a lot of pride in how everything looks.When I go to a mechanic, I am always nervous about trusting what the evaluation is. I do not have that problem at Performance Wise. Have there been times when I was frustrated about the costs of repairs? Absolutely. But that is the simple fact of owning a truck and not related to the service or experience that you will have at Performance Wise. Some of the previous reviews certainly cant have any merit because clearly they werent real truck owners.I had started going to Performance Wise because my work location was just down the street from them. I no longer work down the street and I dont exactly live close as I am in Highlands Ranch, but I will continue to drive the distance to have my truck serviced here. Could not be happier. We were traveling through Denver and ran into truck problems with the truck overheating while pulling our 5th wheel. While traveling from Wisconsin to Carbondale CO. My 6.0 F250 was overheating attempting to get past the front range. I brought in in to Performance Wise and they diagnosed the problem (blown head gasket) and did the repair in 2 1/2 days as promised. The technician worked many hrs of over time to make good on his promise to have us back on the road by Wednesday. While it was a huge financial hit that I was not planning on, I feel confident The engine in my truck will last easily another 200K miles. If you need work on your oil burner I highly suggest Performance Wise. They are a top notch repair shop. If you own a diesel you already know to bring your billfold. But it is worth the price!

Came here based upon the positive google reviews to diagnose an oil leak in my Ford (05 PSD). They were able to locate and fix it as well as advise me of other issues that I should consider addressing while they had the truck apart. Good communication as well as rationalization concerning repairs. Upon picking up the truck I was invited to inspect the parts they had replaced and examine their failures.

As always, super fast and super thorough. Always very professional and discuss everything with me before repair. Ive spent thousands there and the truck has never come back to me more than a day or two after bringing it in. I have a 6.0, am a 12 year member of FTE and have a sticky on that site, and have been around the block with dealerships and other repair shops. My experiences there have been better than warranty service in Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes dealerships, even under warranty when they are trying their best to be obsequious.Great job guys! I only wish that I would have started this business.

DO NOT use this company! I broke down at a gas station in Wheatridge at 9am on a weekday, 3 hours into a 12 hour road trip. I am a woman and was traveling alone. I had to have my truck towed to Performance Wise because it was stalling out and showing no oil pressure although there was no obvious leak. When I arrived, the building was nice, clean and the staff very friendly and seemingly helpful. They checked the engine and told me it was a sensor. If I replaced the sensor (their estimate for all work was $600) they told me it should resolve the issue and I could get back on the road. 4 hours and $600 later they told me that something else was actually wrong with the truck and I probably should just try to make it the 3 hours home. The part that was replaced made ZERO difference. I still had all of the exact same problems with the truck as it had when I brought it in but I had lost 4 hours and $600. I would steer clear of this place especially if you are just passing through!

Youre better off going to a dealership.Addendum: I just received a phone call from Nick at Performance Wise at 0735 in the morning letting me know that they did not appreciate the bad review. He attempted to pressure me into changing my review, but did not offer to make it right in any way. He disputed that they were expensive ($60 to change a $17 fuel filter in a RAM 2500 takes about 60 seconds, even for a novice). This phone call from Nick just confirmed the bad reviews Ive seen that name him specifically. Im sure that Nick will respond to this and show prices from a dealership trying to show how reasonable they are, but I stand by my review. You can make your own decision.

I took my 05 F250 6.0 to Nick at Performance Wise and right from the beginning, Nick and the staff were extremely forth-coming with the information about my truck and what my options were. I had them replace my radiator since it had a leak in it. As soon as the radiator arrived, they had the work done the same day and ready for pickup. Not only that, but the quality of the work was outstanding, and nothing was disturbed on the inside of my truck when I got it back. That doesnt sound like much, but it truly does show professionalism and quality of service. To top it all off the communication from beginning to end was impeccable as Nick kept me informed of the progress the whole time. Nick and staff truly went above and beyond to service my truck and that is something you dont normally find nowadays.

This company is awesome. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Nick and the technician that preformed the repairs. ( I wish I could remember his name).I have a 2005 F-350 with the 6.0. I was fully expecting to be taken advantage of because of all the known problems with this motor. However, I dropped the truck off on Monday evening. They called me first thing on Tuesday morning to let me know what the diagnosis was.... Four bad injectors, a bad camshaft sensor, and a bad glow plug... After discussing the options with Nick, I chose to replace all 8 injectors, have the camshaft repaired, have the glow plug replaced, and have the oil changed while they were at it. Nick gave me a quote for all the repair, that to me sounded more than fair for the amount of work needed to be done. To my surprise not only did they have my truck ready for pickup by Wednesday afternoon, the total for all the repairs was less then what I was quoted.Again I cant express my gratitude enough to this company. My truck is running better than it ever has in the three years that Ive owned it. I am now a customer for life.

I first brought my truck in with an oil leak to see if they could fix it, there ending up being many other repairs needed. I have had to take the truck back 4 times to keep getting stuff fixed. They have had my truck for over a month! I just got it back and now the truck has a boost leak that I am trying to find and there is a new oil leak from the drain plug. I have spent over $7k with them and every time I get the truck back there is a new issue. They have done nothing for me, but cost time and money.I would recommend taking your truck down the road to 5R Trucks.

Had to have my diesel truck towed 58 miles, this is the only place I will take it. Guys got us in within 15 minutes, they knew exactly what was wrong with itand gad us out of there in 45 minutes. We take our truck for emissions, oil changes as well as repair. They are reasonably priced, timely and honest!

I was in town from Florida and my clutch fan went out trying to cross the mountain. I called Ford and they could not touch my truck until Wednesday and this happened to be a Friday. So i looked at shops around me and found performance wise and they took me right in and replaced the clutch fan and saved to day.. Thank you so much.

I took my 2006 dodge to the shop and they let me drop it off without an appointment which was nice. I had a wobble in the front end. They discovered I needed ball joints and some linkage. Also needed rear breaks. I approved all of that work and asked if they also did the alignment. They stated that my truck would not need one as once it was put together it would be fine.. Then the fun began. I then get a call a bit later telling me they forgot to price up the rear breaks as a dully so it would cost more. I approved that. Then the call that parts are rusted on in the linkage, so another part would be needed at additional cost. I approved that. Then yet another call about rusted hubs in the rear and wanting more money. I asked them to soak the parts over the weekend and the next Monday they did get them apart. So the called to tell me it was done and that I would need an alignment. I told them what I had been told by Nick, and the answer was he was wrong, it needs one and we dont do them. Now I know mechanical stuff can be a pain, but I have to tell you that I am not happy with the continual additional costs as well as the miss information. Proceed with caution.

Been in here numerous time and have always been pleased with their service. They take the time to explain their work and what the truck needs. The only time in many visits that I had to bring the truck back in, they fixed it immediately for me at no charge for parts and labor. Will continue to use these guys in the future.

This shop cares about their customers. I took my 06 RAM 2500 in for an oil change and a noise it had just started making and it ended up needing a new water pump. They had the part on hand and got the work done in less time than expected. The person I worked with was very helpful and took the time to answer some other questions I had. I also spoke to the technician who listened and checked a few things out for. The waiting room is comfortable and the service is outstanding. I will take my truck back to this shop even though I live across town.

Had my F250 towed there for a crank, no-start. They got back to me ASAP with a list of issues. Then they let me pick and choose which I wanted fixed, and which I could do on my own, fixing one at a time until they got it running. A lot of shops wouldve just given me the highest estimate possible and left it at that, but they actually cared about my wallet enough to work with me on the issue. If I ever need work done in this area again, they have my business. Thank you.

Good place for diesel emission testing

The service here was amazing! Had an issue with the fuel system that needed to be fixed. They originally quoted around $1??.00 to inspect and diagnose the problem. Within just a couple hours they called back and determined the problem. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and discounted the inspection fee! The honesty this shows will have me coming back anytime I need work on my desiel.The cost for repair was fair and reasonable. I highly suggest Performance Wise for any desiel repair you might need.

Well Im not sure what to say about them. My truck goes a little faster now after they serviced the turbo but for some reason the turbo doesnt look the same. Im thinking maybe it got switched out? Anyway it was like $800 and its still kind of slow. Just like any other auto shop I guess.

This shop did a boat load of work on my 2001 F350. Ive withheld any reviews for a year just to make sure the truck didnt fail after all their work was done. All in all I have to say you wont save any money here compared to a dealership and like any vehicle repair shop the billing is padded heavily by any and all possible charges.Originally took it in for an oil leak and $14,000 later, it still drips alittle. The engine was pulled and new oil pan was installed but it still has a drip from oil pan area.My bill was for a lot of others things done to the truck also and it seems like everything else besides the oil leak is holding up just fine.To be as fair as I can, They told me what needed to be fixed and I approved it all so its on me. I trust the parts needed for the fixesvs what I was charged for is correct....I give it 3 stars mainly because of my original problem was not solved.Update 4/2/2019. Without going into detail because it wouldnt do any good, lets just say Im done with them. Like a bad marriage you hope would get better but it only got worse.Update 4/12/2019. John, First of all, I did NOT go back on my word. Lets get it straight, YOU suggested we try the JB Weld on the block, THEN after thinking about it I brought the truck back and oked the trial fix agreeing not to hold you responsible if it failed to work, I had nothing to lose if it didnt work. After 5 days in the shop I was told it did not accomplish our goal and in fact it made it worse. (It did not make it worse, you guys just didnt know how to find the problem the first 4 times it was there) Now after examination of the engine, where it looks like a 5 year old smeared puddy along the seam of the oil pan, I question once again if the real leak isnt the inefficient pan seal your shop did last year. Why smear JB-Weld along the pan seal if the block is cracked? Like I stated before, This shop has done a lot of good work on my truck but not at a cheap price Id say. Oh, which reminds me, I was surprised I was charged $83 for JB-Weld and half hour labor this last trip. HAHA, A friend had warned me if they couldnt find and fix it in the previous visits, they wont do any better the next. I should have known last year when it become a Parts pitching campaign without really diagnosing the problem correctly. BTW John, You could stand to improve your Telephone skills when answering the phone.My final statement will be, I wish you good luck if you use this shop but I wont be back.

Bad customer service entry level service poor diesel knowledge didn’t torque a single bolt on my truck lost half of the oem bolts I wouldn’t even get an oil change here very overpriced

Had to have the passenger bank of injectors replaced and they gave me a quote and let said they would let me know about the FICM. No issues just injectors. Had the vehicle back before the time they quoted and have not had any issues, or plan on taking it anywhere else.

Horrible. Despite spending $4K to do very thorough heavy maintenance, when my truck broke while I was picking up in their lot, all I got was negative attitude from the owner. He was only concerned that Its not my fault, not how can I help. I have been taking trucks there for years. Sad to be treated this way. Beware of this place.

I recently bought a 1997 7.3 4x4 srw 5spd. Nic is a fantastic ambassador for the shop and savvy tech who only wrenches on 7.3s. He communicated extremely well with me on all occasions from their general inspection to my options on going further. They are very fair and professional when it comes to your pocket and doing only what needs to be done. Their shop is beautiful and reminds me of growing up in my fathers spotless shop, as clean as an operating room. Probably the best diesel gas around I use them out of my auto repair shop being we dont do a lot of diesel repair recommend anyone that owns a diesel to go there they also do diesel emission testing

I called to see if they could replace the hydroboost on my 2001 Dodge 2500. The person I talked to said they didnt have the part and wouldnt be able to get it for 3 weeks. I called another shop immediately and they said NAPA has the part and replaced it the next day with two year warranty for parts and labor. I found it hard to believe they couldnt find a Hydroboost in all of Denver. Got the feeling Performance Diesel didnt care about my business or was willing to make any effort to get my business.
