I came to The Wig Gallery of Wethersfield prior to beginning chemo therapy. Vincent provided an expert consultation and assisted me in selecting a wig that perfectly matched my long hair. I have gotten so many compliments when wearing the wig! In fact when I recently saw my doctor, who had not seen me since beginning chemo therapy, he thought that I had done cold cap therapy and had preserved my own hair - he was astonished to learn that I was wearing a wig. The Wig Gallery had the perfect wig for me (fit, quality and ultimately styling). My husband and family were amazed. It looked like my hair (color, texture and style) and no one can tell the difference. $1900 for a wig?! I’m sorry, it may be a bit nicer than the $300 ones that are covered under insurance but it’s still a wig! They are still made in China. I felt a bit like I was being taken. Shown a picture presentation of clients, then shown 2 wigs that might work. Not able to try them on properly so really had no idea how it would look. Seemed a little shady to me.

It was unfortunate to learn that none of the staff is vaccinated as they work with a vulnerable population and dont believe in being vaccinated. The owner argued with me over the science of vaccinations and said my doctor was misinformed about how Covid is spread. I wont be going there and wanted others to know for their safety.

I just got my wig from The Wig Gallery and I could not be more delighted and relieved. My daughter and I met with Vincent, the owner, shortly after I had my first chemo session. We were immediately impressed with his compassion, his understanding of the needs of cancer patients and his experience and excellent advice. We never went anywhere else. I had been told by my doctor that I wouldn’t lose my hair until after my next chemo session at the middle of the month. So Vincent helped me pick out the perfect wig for me and we made an appointment towards the end of the month for it to be fitted and styled. Meantime I would be going on vacation with my family. I was extremely distressed to wake up several days before my vacation to find that my hair was falling out in huge clumps. Vincent was so understanding and I was able to see him the day before my vacation when he shaved my head and fitted and styled my wig. I cannot say enough good things about him and my entire wig experience. This is the second time losing my hair as a result of chemotherapy. The first time I got a cheap wig that was hot and itchy. I wore it once and tossed it. I didnt know what to expect when I visited the Wig Gallery for the first time, I was apprehensive and upset at the thought of even having to wear a wig. I would have never thought in a million years I would be in this position. I met with Vincent along with my sister and he explained everything I needed to know about his products and services. Vincent is kind, caring, compassionate and makes you feel like youve known him for years. He made me feel at ease and when I left his shop I was actually looking forward to going back and picking up my wig!!! It is awful to get the report you have cancer. It is worse to hear the treatment includes chemo and you will loose your hair ( including your beautiful highlights)! So to make a sad story end much better I went to Vincent at the Wig Gallery of Wethersfield. A thousand pounds was lifted off my shoulders as I walked into my private appointment and saw in front of me the best wigs I had ever seen in my life! Vincent knows his wigs! He knows quality and he totally knows how to help people in this dilemma . We found 2 wigs and within 15 minutes I realized which one was the one for me .. so natural... so my haircut .. so me!!! Because of health reasons, I wanted a wig and wanted to go to someone knowledgeable and understanding so I made an appointment at the Wig Gallery. No one wants to hear the diagnosis of cancer - no one wants to hear that they will lose their hair shortly after chemo starts! That was my reality a few short months ago! After the initial shock, I figured it was time to look for a wig. With my daughters and granddaughters help we began to search. I refused to go somewhere where they charged a consultation fee - just didnt seem right to me. Went to one place, and although they were very nice, I just wasnt satisfied. The Wig Gallery was the 2nd. place we went and I am so glad I did. Vincent was amazing!! Knew just what was right for me. He didnt try to sell me the top of the line wig, instead showed me exactly what I would need for the duration of my chemo, plus! Ordered one that night. When it was time to pick it up Vincent came in on his day off to accommodate me. He treated me with compassion and dignity as I had what was left of my hair shaved.
