We have lived in 3 different states, currently live in MA, and to this day still make the drive to see Dr. Neil because it’s always well worth the trip! The entire experience is incredible from the beautiful waiting area to the wonderful staff and top notch care. Dr. Neil is basically obsessed with ensuring patients have a pain-free experience and as a result our family has 0 dentist related anxiety - a nearly unheard of luxury. I can’t recommend Shapiro Family Dental enough!

Dr Neil and his entire staff are the epitome of professionalism, excellence, and integrity. My entire family has been going to him (and previously his father) for decades. I never hate going to the dentist, and know they will take Carr of me. Excellent work, superb at pain management when needed, and all around wonderful people.

I have been going to Shapiro Family Dental for approximately 18 years now. Dr. Neil is absolutely the best. I have a real phobia about going to a dentist, Dr. Neil has a way making me feel relaxed and assured that I am in good hands. He is my dentist for life. The staff are wonderful also. The new office is clean, beautiful and in a great new location, with easy access and plenty of parking.

This place does not like to involve your insurance company! Kind of unfair to pay for Dental insurance & then get so much push back from the receptionist when it comes to billing your insurance. All I kept getting was I dont know kind of disappointed to be treated such way since the place is very clean and provider was super welcoming. As for receptionist- not impressed!!

I love the office itself but I found it rather uncomfortable that I was asked to put on a mask (vaccinated or not) as the receptionist who is asking me to put on a mask, isnt wearing one herself. Seems like a double standard.

Let me start by mentioning I am petrified of going to the dentist. Everyone is phenomenal here!!! I had not been to the dentist in three years and they fit me in for an emergency root canal. Donna was sweet on the phone and even sweeter and informative in person. Dr. Shapiro greeted me and made me feel at ease. I finished up my pain free root canal with Dr. Pollack and had my teeth cleaned and I feel great. If you haven’t been to the dentist out of fear or a previous bad experience, you need to go to Shapiro Family Dentistry. I feel like part of the family and wish I knew of them sooner as I wouldn’t have needed an emergency root canal. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Dr. Neil is very personable always available 24/7 even on Fathers Day. Had a dental emergency and he took the time out of his special day to address my problem didn’t rush me off took his time to make sure I was comfortable. Friendly, caring, professional and extremely thorough. Despite my visit being a consultation and of no charge, Dr. Neil conducted several tests to diagnose my issue. He and his staff stayed after hours to correct my problem which was NOT a crack and totally fixable, saving my tooth. Dr. Neil went above and beyond for a patient who was not yet even his patient. My entire family (three generations) have been using this dental practice for years. Today is the first time I needed to visit outside of my regular 6 month cleaning. I called mid-morning explaining I had an appointment scheduled in 3 weeks, but I was experiencing pain and am concerned that something might be wrong. After less than 10 minutes on hold, I was offered an appointment for just a few hours later. Upon my arrival the staff was pleasant and showed concern for the problem I was having. After some x-rays Dr Shapiro carefully explained the issue, and made sure I understood the problem as well as the treatment. Next steps were discussed and Dr Shapiro walked me to the front desk to explain to the staff the appointments I would be needing and made sure I was all set before saying good bye. I highly recommend this very professional and friendly dental practice.

I have finally decided to do something about my smile after an accident 21 years ago. Dr Neil was recommended by a friend and let me just tell you I couldnt be happier with him AND his staff! I was immediately put at ease from his orthodontic mgr Tara (sp). I am a little bit of a difficult case but Dr Neil assured me he was more than ready to take on the challenge. I really appreciated him giving me all my options as well as potential outcomes... while still managing to keep everything affordable for me. When I started seeing Dr Shapiro 2 years ago I was very anxious any time I needed to go to the dentist. I can honestly say that although I still get nervous (60 years of fear is like a bad habit) I trust him, and at least once during every appointment he will get me laughing. (usually after some singing or a bad pun) Dr Shapiro is as gentle and understanding as he is a skilled DMD. On my last visit which was a 2 hour procedure he took the time to tell me what to expect, what I wold hear and turned on the music (which always helps me). The results I have had are amazing and none of the procedures were overwhelming (root canal, crowns and implants). I highly recommend Dr Neil Shapiro - esp. for folks like me who are highly anxious about dental procedures. His staff follows his model - they listen, are compassionate and are very skilled.
