First time visiting this place. Needed to get a professional beard trim on pretty short notice. They were able to book me the next morning and everything went great! Super clean. Nice guys. Fair price and a great cut! Will definitely be back, and make this my regular go-to!

I went to MC barber in Berlin CT and Esmir, one of the barbers there, hooked me up with a great haircut. The barbershop was clean and looked like a men’s salon! Esmir’s attention to detail during the haircut was outstanding! Thanks for a great experience!!

They don’t respect your time. Why make appointments if you can’t even honor them? I literally waited for 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment start time and watched 2 of the 3 guys walk out for lunch. I recommend going elsewhere if you value your time.

Terrible service! If you are a few minutes late to your appointment they are super rude to you & won’t take you. Sometimes things happen and you can’t show up on time. Have some courtesy it wasn’t like I was 20 minutes late. No need to demean customers. Treat people the way you would like to be treated. I look forward to finding another barber that speaks to customers with understanding and respect. Perhaps you should consider a grace period instead of having people rushing for their lives to secure their appointments.

We love going here. The barbers are very professional and that is not always easy to come by. Very neat and clean especially during COVID. Haircuts are meticulous.

Use to go here all the time for my sons and husband because of their flawless work and professionalism.Today we were 5 mins late to our appointment and they took another client which is fine. My husband asked if he can wait and go after but the rude barber told my 11 yr old son and hubs he cant take my son today. My son was upset at his attitude towards them, saying he was rejected. They were unprofessional, uncourteous, and just straight up mean to a child.They lost 3 customers today.

I got a regular mens haircut and Mergim hooked it up! So fresh, perfect fade, and helped give me a new brushed back hair shape that I havent had before. Ill definitely be going back a few days before my wedding for an extra fresh look

Very impressed with this barbershop. I’m not from around here, so I was looking around for somewhere to get a haircut. This place had fairly good reviews so I hesitantly made an appointment. I’ve been getting my hair cut at the same place for more than a year so I was a little worried. MC Barbers exceeded my expectations. The barber was very meticulous and spent time making sure everything looked great. Highly recommended.

MC barber is extremely skilled barber. A true master of his craft. I was lucky enough to take his 5 day course and cannot recommend him enough. He is incredible with fades, razor and scissor work, as well as styling. Great instructor, patient, calm, easy to get along with.His barbershop as well as his staff is very welcoming, no attitude, very professional.This is THE place to get a great cut, hands down the best barbershop in the area and beyond.

Ive been going to MC Barber for almost 15 years now and have never been let down by the quality of service delivered by MC or the employees at his establishment. MC continually strives to perfect his craft and raise the bar for his peers and under studies. Those who complain about timing issues or missed appointments need to consider that time is money. In my 15 years I have never had a missed appointment or my appointment moved because of an error by MC or his employees. MC and his employees take their craft seriously if you need any other verification walk into the shop and observe the constantly filled chairs, packed appointment log (for MC), filled trophy case and the cleanliness and professionalism demonstrated by everyone employed there.

The haircuts here are very nicely done with a lot of attention to detail. I waited here for over an hour before I left. Third person to walk out without a haircut. Even though I called before and was told it would only be a 10 minute wait.

We love this barber shop. MC is incredibly talented and so is Sam. Both my husband and son go here and always leave with a fresh, clean cut. They are personable and know what they are doing. Wont go anywhere else. If only I can get MC to cut womens hair ;)

Im just writing to share an experience that I had at MCs shop last night. At 5 PM I call the shop to schedule an appointment with Alberto. The lady on the other end says that Alberto can take me in at 5:30 PM. I walk in at 5:30 sharp and say that I have an appt. with Alberto and suddenly, MC who was at the shop says that Alberto is running 30 minutes late. Surprised, I look at Alberto, who is cleaning his clippers & scissors from the 5:00 PM appt. (the person who walked out as I was walking in) and poor guy has nothing to say. The only other person waiting in the room was another customer (who apparently walked in b/w 5 & 5:30) and probably insisted on Alberto having his hair cut and hence having me to wait another 30 minutes for a 6 PM appt. I ask the lady who answered my phone what had changed in the last half hour that suddenly Alberto is running late that she did not know 30 minutes ago, and she is speechless knowing that she messed up the whole situation. This kind of UN-professionalism is symptomatic in MCs shop and I sincerely hope they get their act together. Peoples time is valuable and when you try to just sneak in another walk-in customer over a scheduled appt. you should have the courtesy to at least admit your mistake rather than lying that the barber (who was on schedule 30 mins ago) is running late. I am sure MC will come up with some kind of a reasoning for the whole incident and try to make it look all well in his response, but he knows the reality. I hope he takes measures to make these kind of things not happen again or he will be losing customers . For sure I am not going back there even though Alberto is a great barber. (Sorry Alberto).

Stopped by here on a Sunday since most other places are closed. Cuts are $22 which is pretty expensive for a mens haircut and they only take cash. The main guy is apparently a hotshot barber (bunch of awards in the window) but you only get him if you call ahead and make an appointment. The young guy I got was very thorough and this ended up being one of the longest hair cuts Ive ever had. The TV was playing YouTube clips so dont expect to watch the game if its on. Would probably come here again but nothing special for the price.

Terrible service.. I had a similar issue last time but figured it was just a rough day and decided to try again. I called and booked my appt for 10 am and said I didnt have a preference on who cut my hair. I arrived just before scheduled time. One chair is being used another barber sitting in his chair playing on his phone. The barber didnt even get up and look at the schedule book when I entered and said it would only be a moment. 1030 comes and I am still waiting, the barber is still on his phone and the other chair still in use. At 1045 I asked what was going on and was told it would be a little longer I couldnt wait as I had other things that needed to get done which is why I called and booked an appointment for 10 and was given excuse after excuse on why. Good luck when you schedule an appt. Not reliable or professional at this establishment.

However, when I need to look my best and want a quality haircut & an ideal beard and mustache trim I schedule an appointment with MC in a timely manner and patiently wait my turn when I arrive. I have been going to MCs barber shop for over the past 2 years (once a month) and I can tell without a doubt, he is the best barber I have used in my 31 years in CT. MC takes pride in his craft and in doing so has worked very hard to be the best in the state. Not once have I had a bad haircut from this establishment. Also, I really like that MC takes appointments, mostly appointment only since he usually book two or three days out when I call. MC also runs his barbershop in a very professional manner, especially in regards to hygienic safety, all cutting materials are disinfected and new straight edge razors for each customer. Along with the hair cut, I always have a fun time hanging out at the barbershop while I am getting my haircut. I highly recommend getting your hair cut at MCs Barbershop, why settle for an average haircut in CT when you can get the best!

I had been a regular customer at MC barber shop. Never had the chance to have MC himself cut my hair, but always other barbers. I am writing to let you all know about my worst experience today 6/2/18. As soon as I walked in @ 3:40 PM I had written down my name under Alberto who was already having some other customer that he was working on. I knew that I was next in line. At 4:00 Alberto wraps up the current customer and starts cleaning. He would have finished by 4:05 PM. After that he came to the front desk, looked at the sign-up sheet and then to my surprise h walked out. I thought that he would have gone out for a short smoke break or something like that. I kept waiting on and on with no sign off Alberto coming back. At 4:25 I walk up to MC barber and ask him if Alberto is on a break - expecting that MC would at least tell me when Alberto would be back. To my utter disappointment, MC just tells me that Alberto is on a break in a dismissive tone. In spite of this slight, I go back and decide to wait for Alberto till 4:35. Still no sign-off Alberto. At 4:35 I decide to walk out.I am very disappointed not only in Alberto but also MC. A few minutes ago I saw MC mention to another customer who missed an appointment by 20 mins that he cannot take him today and that his (MCs) time is valuable. Does this mean that a customer like me does not have any value for my time? I can understand a barber taking a 5 min break when a customer is waiting. But this is beyond explanation what I experienced today. MC and his team may be the best barber in town, but they should not let success get to their head and treat customers disrespectfully. I hope they take this in the right sense

I have been searching for a long time for a barber shop that cares about doing it right. It seemed like the great barbers retired. But today I stumbled on MC and his team. They listen and they care about the customer. Most importantly, they take pride in what they do. It does still exist!!! Thank you and I will see you next week.

Came here for the first time two weeks ago and thought I found a new barber. After scheduling my second one oclock appt I was out of town dealing with an emergency and missed the appointment by an hour. I called MC barber shop at 2 that day sincerely apologizing and explaining the circumstance. I was advised that my next $25 haircut would now be $50, mind you I have not had any NO-SHOWS with them in the past. A bit excessive if you ask me, shame.And I hope people dont fall for these five star reviews, my first appointment I heard the three barbers discussing posting reviews for each other...misleading.

I was there with my BF and I had sat while he was getting his haircut, and I got harassed by the 2 barbers who they work right at the end of the shop which I believe was their name is (SAM & CARLOS) they were looking and laughing at me at all time for no reason which is not nice at all, I didnt see the owner in there to tell him or her about what we went through in the shop but Im leaving experience online in comment for every one to read it before going down.
