This place was great! I called and talked to a very professional receptionist. She got me set up for an appointment for an available slot that had opened up within the same week. When I got there and met with my counselor, she was friendly and welcoming.The office was comfortable, not sterile, which allowed me to open up more quickly. Even though this was just the first session, the counselor helped guide me through some of the issues Im having and discussing the next steps to help me. Overall, I had a great experience here!

The lady that answered the phone upon scheduling an initial appointment was very rude. I didn’t even complete the process because she was so condescending. How disappointing.

Not a good experience, very inconsistent. I had one session that went well and was then under the impression that we had a set schedule. Then while I was on vacation she kept texting me trying to change it due to a family emergency, which I understand, however she said she would continue to work with me so I trusted what she said.Every time I thought we would get things scheduled she kept texting trying to change things again. Then the day of my appointment I received a text about an hour before saying she couldnt make it but could we do tomorrow. So I expressed frustration because I work for a small business and cant just change things on a whim and she said she understood but then talked me into trying to give her another chance when she said shed be more available in May.I said ok lets keep the appointment for the next day. Then she texted and talked me out of seeing her because she said she cant be consistent. It was a very confusing couple of weeks, I think I am best moving on.

It was easy to get an appointment. I have a complicated work schedule and they were able to work around it and get me in, in less than a week. The reception Staff is patient and knowledge and really helped me find a great counselor. I will be recommending this office for anyone seeking counseling.

Wow. Just wow. If I could give no stars I would. I was referred by my daughters doctor and when someone called me back they said they had no space for a 13 year old. They didnt ask my daughters situation or any thing. I was shocked they would turn someone away. Goes to show how much they care.

Serious concerns met with disregard. Being seen through this office has been profoundly invalidating and has left me feeling unheard. I was not taken seriously. Andrea consistently mixed me up with her other clients and refused to screen me for more serious mood disorders, give me a referral, or begin treatment for a condition I have even though I asked at almost every session. About $750 (ish) in co-pays out of pocket and I am worse off for it.Additionally, at the time of first scheduling, I took a daytime appointment because the male receptionist said Andrea was having an evening spot open up that I could take. That never happened either.They are all perfectly polite, but be careful depending on your needs. I recommend anyone in a fragile state just know what youre getting into. For the first time in my life Ive given up hope on getting help and it is because of my experience with Andrea.

My experience with Thriveworks was not very good. The first meeting session went well. The second session, I was texted by the counselor I was meeting with and asked if we could change the time from 2:30 to 11:30, and that was more than okay for me, but then, on the day of, the counselor text me again and canceled. The third session, the counselor text me saying she was running 15 minutes behind, and then 10 minutes before we are to meet, texts again and says to meet at the original time. The next time, the counselor text asking if we could move all Thursday appointments to 9:30am, I agreed and confirmed. Today, Thursday, at 9:30am, I go to my appointment, the door is locked, I text her, no response, after waiting I decided to leave and text her again when I got home letting her know I waited. Then, I get a text from her saying, “come on up.” Then she sends another text saying, “our appointment is at 10 it’s 10:01”- I’m shocked at this point and call her and explained that not only did she send a text saying all Thursday appointments are at 9:30, but that we had written it down on paper 3 days ago and confirmed multiple times. She then says, “oh, that’s right, it was for 9:30, my mistake, what do you wanna do, so you want to just talk over the phone right now?” I explained that at this point, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and told her I had to go for now and she said, “okay” and I hung up. Then, I received a text from her saying, “ Sorry about that. I was doing an intake with a new client with a horrific trauma history and It was just a mistake on my part. Let me know if you want to continue or would like to cancel future sessions. I understand the frustration but feel a little offended being hung up on”My experience felt so unprofessional.

So I tried to make a new patient appointment on Friday October 30th & the receptionist took all my info & said ok Ill give you a call back in the morning on Saturday to see if your insurance is in network. Never received a call back at all. Called Saturday,Monday & today Tuesday November 3rd no answer!! Now as a person with mental health issues trying to get help this upsets me that them helping is not there first priority and telling someone their going to call back the next morning and Not is just so crazy to me.Now I called a few months back & made two appointments for a first time patient got one no prob, had to cancel due to covid! Tell me why I cant get a therapy appointment over the phone???Please help your community not hurt them even more than they already are!

Ive been a client of Thrive for nearly two years. Everyone from the front desk to the owner have been amazing. I get called back if I leave a message, my therapist, Chris, is great. I understand everyone has a different experience but when I read the one star reviews I was shocked. Ive always been treated wonderfully by all the staff. If there is an issue, theyre quick to resolve it and very professional. The environment is comfortable and friendly and I will continue to recommend them.

This establishment is professional and inviting! Every employee that I have encountered as been unbelievably amazing and goes above and beyond. I have recommenced this place to everyone i know that talks about wanting to try therapy. My favorite counselor is Jacob R. He is just wonderful. He is like your loving grandpa that will help you get your life in order. His counseling style does wonders for me. Something I have learned and a heads up to anyone who wants to look into therapy, just because one counselor at this office doesnt fit your needs doesnt mean you need to give up. All of the wonderful therapist have different styles and you just need to find the one that works for you.

The place is awesome and the councilors are really good. It only has one caveat. I work really long hours in retail and get my schedule weekly, usually after thriveworks has closed. That being said, I rely heavily on online scheduling. I have had more than enough problems with their system not putting in my request and Im just about through. If they cant get their scheduling straight, how can I rely on them to help me get my life straight? If I continue having these issues, I will be looking for therapy someplace else unfortunately.

I love seeing Jakob Rosenthal. He is an amazing therapist. I originally saw him for grief counseling when my father died. I continued to work with him because he assisted me with so much beneficial personal change. I am proud of who I am today and he helped with that.

Two of my daughters were seen here. The therapists don’t really listen or care. They just want money. Had to file a complaint on one for remarks she made to my mentally unstable child; then the other made false claims to CPS against my kids father - case was closed as quickly as it opened. If you are really looking to get help, find another place. Completely non compassionate and money hungry.

Thrive works has been a life saver for me. Lori helped me get an appointment with a counselor who would be a good fit for me and my needs. She was so right. His name is Chris. He was my rock and he is so supportive. I am not sure where I would be without his guidance. All I can say is THANK YOU!

Just met with a counselor here (sorry I dont remember her name) that offered me some great first steps to fixing some long time struggles. Feeling a little better already. I know its going to be a long road, but finally have a little hope that things are going to change. They took my insurance too, so maybe I can actually afford this for once. Feeling optimistic !

I don’t recommend this place, my husband and I went in for marriage counseling after an affair, and he basically told me that my husband cheated because I’m overweight (not in those words of course) we left and I cried my eyes out in the car. What a horrible thing to say to a woman.

We took my son into Thriveworks to meet with Rachel. She has worked wonders my son was very anxious and was having behavioral problems in school. Over the course of the last six months we have seen a huge turnaround. The negative behaviors have almost stopped completely and his anxiety is now at a manageable level. We cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for our son. Thank you so much Rachel and the entire Thriveworks staff for what you have done for our family.

Ive never seen such a clean, upscale, professional- yet inviting type of counseling center. I would highly recommend this place!

I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and transition support provided after the therapist I had been seeing for some time left abruptly. Additionally, I have unresolved billing issues from several months ago that I get the run around on each time I have tried to follow up on them. Each time they claim not to have received the EOB and even when I sent my personal copies it was ignored.

Dale was the worst therapist Ive ever had. He told me that I would stop having anxiety if I was a better Christian and trusted God more. He also spent an entire session talking about how we should abolish all public education and that Medicaid is a socialist abomination. The whole place is extremely unproffessional. This is supposed to be a secular clinic. No, thank you.

Came in for marriage counseling. Had never been to therapy but all the staff made it easy to get started and I was able to use my insurance. Very pleased with this organization.

I strongly advice not seeking services from this agency. They do not understand state statutes In regards to mental health or follow them. My daughter is court ordered into therapy and was with a PhD level therapist for 4 years. Her dad didn’t like the therapist because she would hold him accountable in regards to his behavior toward my daughter. He fished around until he found a place that he could control the therapists, which he found with Thriveworks. One of the therapists flat out admitted to violating state statute of Acting in the Best Interest of the Client, just to make her dad happy. When I called her out on it, she replied with “maybe he will not want to pull her from therapy with me.” Needless to say, my daughter stayed with her therapist as I refused to allow her to attend therapy with a therapist who blatantly admitted to violating state statutes just to make the parent happy. My daughters father then found a therapist through this agency to do family therapy with him and my daughter. The therapist’s name is Chris Saxon and is not licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist but as a Licensed Professional Counselor. This lasted two sessions as Chris did not act neutral, as a family therapist is expected to act, and would bully my daughter into submission by saying she was the problem in the relationship to the point she would shut down. If she did try to advocate for herself, he would allow her dad to also bully her and make her feel bad for sharing her feelings. She was 11 at the time. This would lead to her having extreme anxiety after her “family counseling” sessions. After her dad violated a court order and threatened my daughters therapist and sent some texts that demonstrated harmful behaviors, we had to file a motion which the courts deemed an emergency due to the “concerning” behaviors of my ex. At this point, Chris wrote a letter to the courts saying that he witnessed me trying to manipulate and persuade my daughter and believed I was trying to damage my daughters relationship with her father. He never once spoke with me or saw me. The kicker is, he dated the session that he “witnessed” me “in the hallway” of one of the sessions for January 13th. I gave birth on January 12th and wasn’t released from the hospital until the 14th. The judge dismissed this “evidence” as non credible due to Chris blatantly falsifying documents to help “persuade” my ex’s case. The judge ruled my ex was not acting in my daughters best interest. This agency is not only harmful but practices unethically. There are MANY other great therapists that would serve your therapeutic needs appropriately and ethically.

I saw Kate, who was a great listener and offered problem solving solutions. She has always been very profesiional, kind and compassionate. I would strongly recommend Thriveworks Counseling.

Would not recommend going to this place. While the time I spent with my doctor was very good the problem was with the people who handled my payment. I let my doctor know our usual day for meeting which is Wednesday might not work as I switched positions at work and probably wouldnt be able to make it by the time they closed. I told him wed keep the schedule the same and Id call if I had to make any changes. Well I called to cancel the day of our next appointment. The lady Lori who worked the front desk told me there was a cancellation fee if not givin before 24 hours. I told her I didnt know and she said they would let me slide which I appreciated. I then told her I wouldnt be able to make it to my next meeting which was two weeks out. I told her Id have to call back and let them know when I could go back in. Next thing I know I get a text to confirm my appointment for the that Wednesday, I had canceled. So I call again and leave a message saying I wont be able to make it. Well I end up getting charged 99 dollars for missing the appointment. I call on Thursday to tell them it was supposed to be cancelled and Lori argues with me. I tell her last time we spoke I canceled the appointment. She claims she remberes talking to me and I never canceled. When I tell her I did and I also called on Tuesday she claims Tuesday was yesterday and it wasnt a 24 hour notice. I tell her she doesnt even know what day it is because she obviously thinks its Wednesday and she gets an attitude. I tell her I want to speak to her boss and the person who calls me back says Lori and him are the only two people who answer the phones. He calls me a liar saying I never called or canceled and the charge will stay. I tell him I wont be going back and he say ok well have a good day. I will never go there again and its a shame because I liked my doctor.

If you like being judged, criticized, and yes even insulted, then this the place for you. If you want serious help with mental or emotional problems, then go somewhere else. Dont waste your time or your money with these unprofessional people.

Stay away from Thriveworks and Jacob Rosenthal in particular. I went to him for anxiety issues and I wish I had not wasted my time or money. He has a simplistic, hedonistic, and nihilistic pseudo-life philosophy. His basic approach to any problem is to ignore it and live a hedonistic lifestyle. It was like being preached to by a third rate self help guru instead of having a professional address my mental and emotional issues.When it became apparent to him, that I had reservations about his ideas, he became irritable and disinterested. After that, I felt like I was talking to myself. Eventually, I just quit going and stopped wasting my time and my money. Finally, I went to a REAL psychologist and got the help I needed.

If someone is looking for a caring, loving and very smart Therapist Will Pouge is your man! Will worked with me for many years when I was a young teenager! He helped me grow into a fantastic lady and pointed me to the right place! He is very much involved with his clients and there families. I had a lot of problems when I first went into therapy with Will, I was a hot mess and not very many people had hope in me but Will he had faith and worked with me until I graduated from therapy and to this day he still checks up on me and helps me when I need it the most! I recommend Will Pouge as your next Therapist!

If you are looking for a therapist to help with your teens problems and to help you become a whole family again, then I highly recommend Will Pogue. Will worked with our grandson and family for 1.5 yrs. (2013-2015).Our grandson was in a dark spot with troubling thoughts and behaviors; it was unsure if he could be helped or would have to be institutionalized. He was assigned to Will when he transferred to the St. Josephs Childrens Home. Will is a direct, up front, tell it like it is therapist. Will was able to develop a rapport with his client and make him realize, that he was the only one who could, with help from Will and the staff, get himself out of trouble and leave. It was by no means easy, but the breakthroughs and improvements were astounding! Will worked well with the staff and other counselors at St. Joes using there input to continually update his clients treatment care plan. Another attribute we came to admire about Will was his ability to advocate for his client when needed; at one point facing negative recommendations from others, and working with the family to promote what we together felt would be the next best course to pursue in our grandsons treatment. Our grandson states: Hes tough and stern, but he helped me. We have nothing but the highest praise and respect for Will.

I did not have a good experience here at thriveworks, I think mostly my counselor Racheal Baehr is what made it negative. I was sent home early one session and then cancelled on the next with only a couple hours notice at a time I really needed consouling

Do not try to take your child here for help! When there is an absent parent incarcerated they want to make you get court papers showing you make medical decisions! Ridiculous and no help!
