I have been involved with TAB for many years. It is a great place to learn from and share with other business owners. Almost every month I am able to take away at least one actionable idea to grow sales, reduce costs, or improve operations. The opportunity to get input from a group of your peers, who walk in very similar shoes and who overtime have gotten to know you and your business, is invaluable.

TAB is a valuable service and networking resource for family and closely business owners and the professionals who serve them. Many owners feel lonely at the top and need a sounding board for issues and ideas. Personally I spent over 8 years on a variety of TAB boards and thoroughly enjoyed as well as benefited from the close relationships, lessons learned, vibrant interaction and networking each month. As a CFO and minority shareholder of a closely held business I found that often some topics either didnt apply to me or I did not have enough clout to make the changes at my Company. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend making the investment in being a member of TAB.

For small, noramly board-less companies > a TAB engagement is the start of getting professional strategies established and also executed. Furthermore with a TAB engagement, entrepreneurs add missing important corporate functions of having to report to somebody, review, share and discuss products-, operations- and management- actions with other entrepreneurs, resp. TAB board members, That simple gives me a perspective and comparison if I do the right and best thing for myself and my company!

Extremely rude company! Called to ask the operator a question and was told they dont associate with people who can’t follow simple instructions and got hung up on. Before they help other businesses they need to work on their own!

I owe the existence of my company to my TAB board.My employer thought TAB membership would be good for us but did not want to commit to the monthly meetings therefore, I was designated as our board member.Over time my board began to question why I did not own the company. They assisted me in developing a plan to approach my employer to purchase his business. When my employer declared he was not interested in a buy-out, my board guided me in starting my own business. Of course, the first thing I did as a new business owner was purchase my seat on my TAB board.I cannot imagine being in business today without the support and guidance of my board.

I really enjoy working with TAB in Winnipeg. It has made a very positive difference to my business and life as a whole.
