I wanna thank everyone that helped to get my package to me. I have the delivery app and it said my package was out for delivery. The regular mail had already came and no package. The carrier was rude to my husband and said there was no package. I called the post office and everyone that I talked to was extremely helpful. Thay found my package, it was still in the carriers truck. A very nice gentleman in a suit hand delivered my package to my home and deeply apologized for the inconvenience. Thank you Westland Post Office!!! I give you 10 thumbs up!!👍👍

Our mail carrier stands at the main door and throws packages at the intended door. He even throws them up to the second floor instead of walking to the correct door or up the steps.

The Westland Michigan post office has a lot to be desired! I dont think they train their people very well and I would just assume that they have to take a reading test to get the job which Im shocked at the carrier even passed that test. I put in three change of address has the same exact wording on each and I still do not get my mail forwarded to me. You try to call they cant take your call you call the complaint line they cant take your call. Postal service is not what it used to be

Absolutely the worst business I’ve had to deal with. The workers are rude & lazy. I’ve had several packages missing. I’ve called the Post Master General twice prompting an investigation. It was better for a while but right back as my packages stated delivered in the mailbox however I do not have them. Total incompetent people! Looks like another call to the postmaster general.

I been staying at the same place for 2 years car at my house every day lights on you can tell someone stay here and the past 3 week i havent been receiving any mail at all. I went uo to the post office and all they said was we thought no one stayed there.... I didnt put in a change of address or anything they just took it upon they self to just stop delivering my mail smh its time to vote and now yall want to play with my mail smh im going to the poles 💪 yall not going to stop me

I moved to Westland from Garden City where I next to never had any issues. At the Westland Post Office the drop off bin for boxes is constantly full and the staff has shown a trend of not scanning in packages. Going forward I will travel the extra distance to Garden City.

This place is horrible. Im not talking about the building! Im talking about the employees here. Horrible customer service. youre never greeted with a friendly face. I feel more of an inconvenience then anything. They surely let you know you are not welcomed and your business is not wanted. When having an issue with a package. Good luck... they dont answer phone calls and its impossible to get any help.

I just spoke to the nicest woman (via phone) who works at this location. I was having a stressful day and probably came off a little crabby at first, but she was so helpful and was able to assist me with my missing DMV documents that have been addressed to the wrong house -- which is another long, complicated story.Thank you for making my day better with five-star customer service!

My visit was great. The lady was very nice and helpful but i forgot something so when i got home i tried to call their number. One person up front and no customers but phone tells me its a 35 to 40 minute wait to speak to somebody. Why does it take this much just to speak to a dam human? I could have drove there and back by now and Id still be on hold. So angry. And because it took so long to reach somebody i couldnt get my package changed to overnight.

I like going to Westland’s Post Office! They are friendly, efficient and there are usually 2 or 3 people serving so the line goes quickly. The hours are great too!

This post office is the nicest place with the nicest people. The line, if any, moves fast and you dont feel rushed when being waited on. I really like going here for stamps and mailing packages.

We have a great postal carrier. She gets our mail to us promptly and efficiently. Her highest quality is her personality and her compassion. She is super friendly and she frequently helps out her elderly customers. Ive seen her come back after her shift ends and on her days off to run errands and chores for her customers because shes built a friendship with them and they trust her greatly. In a community where the large majority of the residents are over 65, its nice to have someone like her watching out. (More people should lend their elders a helping hand.) Kudos to D - you are the best.

The reason why the post office has the poor reputation that they do is because of the employees at the Westland, MI post office. They enjoy being rude to the customers and they have conversations amongst themselves about what they are going to have for lunch or what they had for lunch. I will drive out of my way to never have to deal with this place again, to be disrespected for no reason is unacceptable.

Trying to overcharge customers on packages. I went in to purchase a first class label for my package and the lady tried to charge me $12 because she claimed it weights 1.5lb which it did not, I suggested that her scale might be off but she just rolled her eyes at me. I stepped out and weighted the item at the self serve kiosk and my item was in fact 1lb and eligible for first class.

I go in to this post office all the time and I have been meaning to write this for a while. The people that work there are very nice and very helpful. I had to call today as I dropped a package in to the big bin in the inside lobby last night. It was over weight and the bin locked on me. I called today and they assured me that my package was on its way. They actually checked for the package in a whole pile. I so appreciated it. thank you so much!

Im constantly not getting mail delivered to my house I have the informed delivery app and alot of mail has not been delivered i found out that my mail is being delivered to the building next to me a complete different number, and the reason why is the carrier is constantly talking on her phone while she delivers the mail plan on making a written complaint

Disappointed because I had a package stolen from my front door (I know it is not the carrier or post offices fault) but when I reached out for assistance they didnt seem to care. I was told to file a claim but I didnt have insurance, so there was nothing else that could be done. They expressed no sympathy, didnt give me suggestions, etc.

I went in today to ship an item and was helped by John. He took his time to help me out and was very friendly. I would recommend using this location to anyone.

WTF!!! I would give 0 stars or even -10000 stars if I could. I just moved into this place for one month and I found I cant receive anything at all. I am pretty sure I put the right address. I just dont know who is working on this whole thing. Is there anyone actually working? Who is in charge of everything? I ordered something from Virginia 3 weeks ago but I havent received it. 3 weeks! I could receive items from China! My paycheck was sent to me from Plymouth Michigan one week ago and I havent received it yet. These items are pretty important to me and I cant receive any of them. When I called usps, the supervisor kept telling me he will call the carrier and give me a call. Then, he never calls back!

This weeks package marks the second lost by them this month... The first one they delivered to the wrong home and the owner there brought it to me, thankfully. (Which they still have no idea its been delivered, per their customer relations.) This one, they stated they couldnt get to the delivery location? No idea... my deck is still there... the FedEx guy had zero issues and can deliver within the same 12 hour time period. Someone really needs to take care of such inadequate employees.

Wonderful customer service, everyone is VERY NICE...... Except for BOB (the older Caucasian man). The hours are great, and I especially enjoy Verne...... Such a sweetheart she is! Bob needs to retire, or get retrained on how to treat customers. I had actually stopped going there for awhile because of him, but luckily he has wonderful coworkers that make-up for his horrible personality!

During the 7 months alone I have not had packages delivered to my apartment over 15 times. Every time it says note left but I have yet to see a note.Most of the time I have been at home waiting when they claim the delivery was attempted but have not seen or heard them ever.Several times the status shows delivered but I have nothing and it gets delivered the next day.The latest incident is today. Waiting for 2 packages. One from Amazon and one from Germany. Both packages went out for delivery the same time. The Amazon was handed directly to resident at 9:03am. I have not received anything and was home all day...The package from Germany was attempted at 15:03 but could not be delivered due to No secure location - Note left. Once again I was home and was actually walking my dog outside the apartment. Nobody attempted to deliver and no note. Lucky I had the tracking number or I would not even know about it.2 packages in one day... Hopefully they will both be at the post office tomorrow.This is absolutely disgusting and happens often.

Ive got to have the laziest mail person on the planet. Last I checked certified mail was usually pretty important, instead of getting out of the truck to deliver the letter my mail person pretends I wasnt home and leaves a pick up slip in my mailbox. Im a stay at home mom with a dog, if they knocked on my door is know it. This is the second or third time this has happened. Im constantly getting other peoples mail in my box, and having my mail delivered to other places. Then they wonder why no one trusts the USPS. I just tried to call and make a complaint and was told by the recording that my wait time would be greater than one hour. Seriously??

I got a PO box here. For the limited and specific interaction with this post office, it was good for the most part. There are some of the workers there that definitely know they are government employees and are immune to supervision or oversight, but some, like the one over the PO boxes, gives very good service and knows who her customers are.

Absolute worst customer service of any post office within a 30 mile radius.

First and foremost, let me state that I frequent this place for work about once to twice a month. I have NEVER received or witnessed appropriate customer service here. All the employees act like theyre in hell and the customers are treated like dirt. I was just there this afternoon and had enough. Bob- middle aged white bald man was working with an elderly customer (easily) 80+ years old as I was in line. She couldnt read the screen of which it was asking her if anything in her package was perishable. Instead of reading it to this little old lady who was struggling to see the small print, he proceeded to yell out at her in front of everyone that she needs to read the screen and select an answer. I was appalled. Im appalled that these people continue to have jobs. It is absolutely sickening. Avoid this place like the plague.

I paid for 2 day delivery, Im aware mail doesnt typically run on Sundays but when you pay for a service and youre guaranteed it will be delivered, you expect the service you paid for. Wasted my day at the door waiting so nobody in my complex steals my package, only to receive an email stating the carrier (USPS) could not access my building (of which Im stupidly standing at the door and opening for everyone) Ill stick with Fed ex or UPS from here out, thanks for nothing.

Called about a package that I made a case for cause said it was delivered on the 17th of december but it never was.. been on hold for over 2 hours and now they are closed.

Went to pick up a package and because my drivers license didnt match my address at the time I brought four different pieces of evidence and was still told that I could not pick up my package..... the girl at the counter was very rude and made me return three different times... until I finally had to bring up my girlfriend for proof of the address that I had already shown them 4 times... absolutely ridiculous

Hard working staff. I go here for mass mailings and bulk items. Their customer service is strained at this location. Parking is appropiately sized. Entry going north on Wayne Road is easy but southbound is not. Exit is controlled by a traffic light.

Keeping in mind that these are human beings that have emotions just like the rest of us. They take a lot of abuse from the public and do their best to be polite. I am satisfied with the service

TERRIBLE. We have the same number address as a house on the street a block over and were constantly getting their mail. I ordered earrings on Cyber-Monday that when tracked said they were delivered 2 weeks ago. My neighbor finally brought them over (opened, she must not have liked them). Is it that hard to get the right mail to the right houses daily? Theres no consistency, who knows when the mail will run day to day which makes it easier for people to take your stuff because its not like you can plan for somebody to be home not knowing when it will come. Its ridiculous.

Incoming first class mail takes an extra day when it goes through this post office. It took 4 days for a letter from Detroit, and 5 days for a letter from NY.

Excellence service. Busy post office, so the workers are stretched but they do their best. The line is nearly out the door daily, the workers never get a slow period. The workers take a lot of flax for conditions they cannot control. Treat them with courtesy, youll get the same back. I go there a lot.

Falsified tracking report:On May 25th an important health related package was to be delivered to me no later than 8pm by the tracking information supplied to me through the USPS office. The site said that they tried to deliver my mail at 2:25pm that afternoon but the house was not accessible....however they delivered the rest of my mail. I get it’s a holiday weekend and y’all wanna go home early, but laziness could personally effect people and their health.... seriously disappointed and I would never recommend going through these very unprofessional people.

I need to be able to put one star by the way. This place makes me wish we could privatize our basic mail service and outsource it to UPS or another carrier.The worst part first:Today, Wednesday November 8th our mail carrier decided to scan the package which notified me that it was delivered to our porch successfully. I saw it on the app and after calling in the audio update stated in detail the same thing. My girlfriend was home and saw the mail truck but the carrier did not get out of the truck. I happened to be on the phone with her and she discovered that nothing was delivered; as I had told her to look since I got notified on my phone that was delivered. After calling USPS several times, I got back on the phone with my girlfriend who had since tracked down the mail truck. She stated, despite the fact that she scanned the mail and said it was delivered in the automated system, that she did not want to come to the door because there was a dog. The dog, mind you, was inside and she was in no harm, nor was it barking at the mail truck. She just drove over. Luckily my girlfriend got her to give her the package, of which she scanned again. Odd, since there was another door she could have dropped it off at or tried to knock. And in the least not say it was delivered when it wasnt. Someone was clearly home, there is no excuse. The package could have been dropped off on our porch.They, also, have lost one package previously and was unable to find it; in their building or mail trucks. They had to pay us for the loss of the document that was being mailed, which was time sensitive material being delivered from a government entity from another state. Money cannot buy back time, luckily we were able to get it again and have the mail rushed to us.And as others reviewers have stated they deliver our neighbors mail to us and vice versa.The service inside the post office is very poor; honestly some people dont belong out front dealing with customers.Finally going to file a complaint directly to USPS about this location. The mail delivery is ridiculous. And at this point anything other than the obvious standard mail Im going to use another carrier to send and receive my mail.

By far the worst service ever. Went to their office to find out how to schedule an appointment to renew my passport, they said we didnt need to make one which I thought was odd because Ive always known you had to make one and there was a sign clearly saying you needed an appointment. So my mom and I went there with our renewal forms and the lady Rudely told us we had to make an appointment and said she couldnt help us. I started to explain that we had came the day before and that one of their workers said we didnt need one just to come back wth our forms. I then proceeded to describe the lady who had told us that information and the lady(blond older mid 50s) said no body works there as I had described. She then called me and my mom liars straight to our faces. How does she have the audacity to do that. I told her off and left. I called to complain no one answered. What rude customer service. who hires these uneducated rude people I mean seriously.

I had a large package supposedly delivered to my home. I never received it so I went to Westland Post office and they said they would check with driver. Heard nothing. Called the company that shipped my package and they replaced it. I received that one with no problem. Someone at the postal service goofed and I think they should investigate it more or pay for my order. I dont know how they cant locate a 3 1/2 foot package. I am very disappointed with service. I even got a letter that was stamped undeliverable and had my name and full address on it. My friend had sent it so it went back to her. Luckily it wasnt from someone I didnt know. Very bad delivery service..

Lady who worked the counter Saturday 5/7 was rude. I needed piece of packing tape to close my package and she told me to go buy a roll, though the lady next to her was taping packages for other customers. I will NEVER come to this post office. I was driving by and stopped in for the first time. I did not get the ladies name, but she needs to seriously change her attitude. She was also rude and not helpful to another lady before me.I will continue using the Wayne post as they are super friendly and helpful!

Great location, very accessible with very convenient hours of operation. However, the service is horrible. They dont greet you, they doesnt smile, they appear not to know the word thanks or have a wonderful day. Specially Tari, oh my God! This woman looks like she is there against her will or for free. I dont know what it is, but she has the nastiest attitude. And that is so sad because in these times we living a simple smile can make anyones day so much better.

Nearly every experience here is a nightmare. No one listens. Everyone interrupts. Ive had someone refuse to help me and even move to a different register. Ive been accused of typing in my address wrong on an item I ordered, despite coming in because I had a couldnt be delivered notice with my correct address in my mail box. Honestly, Im trying to move to a different city just to get away from this post office.

Id give 0 stars if i could. The mail carriers they have here is HORRIBLE!! Ive been living here for the past year and a half and the carrier has repeatedly refused to ring my doorbell so i get a notice. Today Im sitting in my car in front of my apartment to charge my phone because we have no power, i recieve an email that my package delivery was attempted but couldnt access me. I WAS SITTING RIGHT BY MY DOOR!! There was no postal worker near my door so there obviously is no notice of the attempt because they didnt!! Cant call them because they wont pick up after multiple attempts and calling the hotline Im always on the phone for over an hour. Honestly the larger part of me moving when my lease is up is because of how horrible the postal service is here.

I need to figure out how to file a complaint. First off, the mailman occasionally delivers peoples packages to the wrong address. Second, the mailman decides if he or she wants to do their route that day. So if they decide not to, no one gets their mail or packages that day. Its extremely unprofessional and very disappointing. People are entitled to their mail on the day its suppose to be delivered.

The people here are incredibly rude. When you walk in, they make you feel like a burden. I run a business and have to interact with usps every single day. This place can learn something from the Ypsilanti location.

Very poor customer service. First of all both (black ladies) who were present there had an attitude and the one who served me was on her cell phone texting. Date: 4/11/2013 and Time: 3:17:53 PM. So, obviously she put the wrong zip code on my package. It was good thing that i noticed it right away and called back when i went home. Now, there were two 2s in the zip code, so she is trying to say that she read one as 8 and the other as 2. I believe her name was Monica as they called her with this name but at particular time i provided above it shows Clerk # 16 (If it help to identify the person).they need to get off their cell phones while they are working. And the other lady whom i did talk to on phone is trying tell me that it usually costs you $11 for what you just did. Now what the hell i did? Its their fault and they are not ready to accept it. I am not trying to be racist but apparently the third lady was also black. I have been to this location but never had problem with other white old lady or asian lady. But seriously, they need teach their other employees (Monica and other black lady), how to work and accept their faults.

Said there was an attempt to deliver to my address. I was sitting in my living room all day and I didn’t hear an attempt.

Horrible. I havent been getting my mail for weeks now, I went up there to see what they could do and they told me everyone must have the wrong address. Like my bills that come every month all of a sudden has the wrong address.

Everyone at the P.O. have always been efficient and kind.

They repeatedly deliver my packages to my neighbors, deliver other peoples mail to me, and once even left me a package that was someone elses outgoing mail from a building down the street. Theyre so bad that I have everything shipped to my work so that I might actually receive it. Every time I visit the location it is an unpleasant experience. Ive had a lot of bad USPS experiences but this one in particular makes me thankful for their competitors.

Worst post office ever. They came to my house to drop off a package and didnt even have the courteous to ring the door bell, instead they left me a note to pick up my package at the post office. I went to the post office and they denied me my package. This post office is one of the worst ones of have been to. Horrible service from both the mail carrier and the office.Also, this wasnt the first time they forgot to drop off my package. This has happened to me multiple times from this same post office.

They stole or lost my package, this was a very important package for me and it has not been delivered since March 26th, I’ve gone to the office personally as their phone is always on a 2 hour hold. The first time I went this lady told me that she needed the track number, then proceeded to go to the back and “look for it” she came back less than 5 minutes later saying the box itself did not have a name or an address, she wrote down my phone number and told me they were gonna call me “soon” so I decided to leave and wait for them to call me -and lucky me! I did not get a call from them, this infuriated me and thought it was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, I decided to go the next day and another lady told me she would go find the package but as I was waiting the same lady from the previous day had just arrived and came up to her chair and said to me “You need to move because this is my space”, I was baffled and decided to ignore that as I didn’t want to cause a scene. As I was waiting for the other lady she comes back a few moments later and proceeds to tell me she couldn’t find the package! She told me the same thing as the other lady, that there was not a name or address (oh yeah? Then how in the world did it get to that specific location?!) then proceeded to blame it on the company that sent the package and that they had to send it back! I However the interesting part is that the package was never flagged through the website and I can clearly tell she lied because the package either got stolen or lost, I contacted the company personally and said they have not gotten any alert or messages from USPS saying it had to be sent back.

I hate complaining so when I called last week it was only because it was an ongoing issue. I was told the issue would be addressed and it is still happening. Im not even going to bother calling back because obviously the post office didnt care enough to address it in the first place. Im very disappointed that the carriers seem to take no regard for peoples mail. Now Im sitting here with a shredded newspaper and crumpled mail. Thanks!

They might not even delivery your mail.. if carrier feels like leaving for day they will just say f it and skip u till next day.. I guess the days of getting mail Monday thru Friday are over.. more like delivery on Saturday maybe and on Monday thru Tuesday

I live in wayne and never had a problem with getting our mail, but when it switched over to westland we got the laziest mail carrier ever (and how could you be lazy driving a mail truck).. she picks and chooses witch days to stop at our mailbox and then writes blocked on mail when we finally get it, and I have security cameras with recorded video proving nothing was blocked and she cruises rite by the box.. oh and I got a package that wouldnt fit in the mailbox she brought that to my door but didnt give me the rest of my mail because my box was invisibly blocked..get that..

The male clerk accidentally added a $470 money order to my small package shipment order and tried to cover the screen of the cc swiper, telling me it was broken and wouldnt show my total. When I insisted on seeing the total before swiping he discovered the error and corrected my order. I complained to mgt and didnt see him for a couple months, figuring hed been fired. Now, 2 years later hes still working the counter.

The clerks go above and beyond to take care of their customers. I have witnessed them being kind.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I got to the post office 15 minutes before they closed to drop off some packages and the lady in the lobby decided to stare at me the entire time with a dirty look. I stood in line for 15 minutes while the workers just stood around and were helping no one. When I was finally finished the lady in the lobby told me I needed to get there sooner because they close at 6:30. If the workers would not have been standing around I would have been in and out in about 5 minutes and gone before they closed. I dont know who the worker thinks she is to talk to customers like this. This is easily the worst post office I have had the displeasure of going to and will de everything to avoid this place as much as I can

I am Giving the West Land Post on Wayne Road . Three Stars . Their walk in service is Really Ok, The Mail Carriers either from here or Garden City DO NOT do their Jobs very well! They seem to be in the incoming outgoing mail Practice, Meaning if you do not have any mail coming inn then you have none to get out, even if you put it out! It has been a year now with thisnew guy and i watched a dozen times where if he has nothing to give you he will NOT even look at your house for anything out going! I have Chased him Down about a half Dozen Times or so, Very incompetent work ethicss, So for delivery i sadly enough have to report a One outta Five. B.T.W. 2018 Update - After filing a federal complaint, Ive finally gotten somewhere with this post office. They seem to be having an ounce of effort. I still have packages end up at the apartment office with no note in my box, but there hasnt been a improperly delivered or lost package since. I do believe I have a new carrier though, which is probably helping.I still have issues of them not attempting to deliver packages to me and just defaulting directly to the office, even on weekends. Annoying, but Id rather them do that than leave them in common areas like before.--------------------------------------------Worst postal workers Ive ever encountered. From carriers to the post master - theyre all liars and lazy.Carrier got progressively lazier over time. Used to buzz my apartment and bring packages to my door, then would buzz and expect me to come down (sometimes not even giving me enough to get down the stairs and I end up running after them through the parking lot), then stopped buzzing at all and would just take it to the office leaving a notice in my box, now Im lucky if I get a notice at all.Always mark tracking as delivered even if the package is not - screws you out of an insurance claim for lost packages - that terrifies me.Caught my carrier red handed the other day, Saw my package marked delivered, looked out my window and saw the mail truck at the complex after mine, so I hopped in my car and chased after them. She tried to tell me she didnt have my package that if it was marked delivered- it was, even though I knew exactly what I was waiting on and the package was right in front of her face in her truck. She had no idea why I didnt have a slip in my box, completely ignored the question when I asked why it was marked delivered when it wasnt, They tried to refuse to give me my package, asking who the package was from, who it was for - only after that did they give in and ask for my ID.Some days my mail doesnt come at all. My mail carrier constantly gives me excuses of theyre running late theyre behind schedule - Yes I realize youre over worked, under paid - but most people are. Thats no excuse to not do your job. Your job is to get my mail to me - do it.Disgusting.Post master is no better. Ive called to complain about my carrier, or see about tracking. Ive been put on hold and forgotten about, only to call back and get helped imediately.Post master lied to me when I expressed that I was concerned an express international package hadnt updated since leaving the sorting center days ago. Was quickly turned away and given a special number for express packages - definitely given the standard 1800 USPS number.Investigating filing complaints with higher offices to get something done about this post office. The whole post office is corrupt, no one follows policy and it gets worse by the day.

So today it rained, and you think the courteuous thing to do when they deliver your mail is to close the mailbox back but noooo....they left it opened during a rainstorm mind you...and now Im sitting here with a wet magazine because the mail man or whoever was way too LAZY to simply close it back which would of took a mere second to do....just common courteousy you think...just plan rude and unprofessional of you mail people....properly do your job or if you dont like it you should get another...

Horrible! They dont know how to treat people with respect! Making an elderly man rush to get to the counter... shame on you horrible people! I rather drive to the other one in a different city then come here! Always have problems with these people! I would give zero stars if they let me!!!

These people are okay, i go about 3 times a week, its busy but they are wayyy faster than Canadian Post office.

The most blatantly disrespectful, rude, nasty attitudes Ive ever encountered! I was completely floored by this one individuals attitude in particular. He should be fired! Mr. Klieman needs a vacation or something because he has a HUGE chip on his shoulder. Unbelievable.

Westland Post Office needs to tell their mail carriers to get off their cell phones and pay attention to their jobs. Maybe then they can deliver the mail to the correct addresses!!!!

Worst post office in the area, they lost my packages twice and I had to fill a lost package claims. If I can give 0 star I will do it

Ever since our last postal lady retired we have been stuck with a horrid lady doing our deliverys. If you get many deliverys or put in for a package pick-up she is just put out! Anything that makes her get her hind end out of her little truck ticks her off and she talks to you so nasty. She needs customer service and sensitivity training.The US Postal Service needs people like me that use their services alot so people can keep their jobs and the offices open. The person I spoke to whose name was Andy was wonderful and understood the problem, also the fact that I did not want my mail destroyed to get even with me. I think I may move my business over to Fed-X or UPS at least those people treat you with respect and dignity.

It is terrible serviced at here, I hate to come here if I can do anything without coming here. I understand why people want give them negative star.
