I can not say enough good things about Speech and Hearing Associates! The staff is so thorough and professional. Miss Megan is just fantastic. She has been so wonderful with my child and helping her meet her goals! I highly recommend Speech and Hearing.

We have been coming here for several years. Dr. Woods is an exceptionally thoughtful and persistent professional. She carefully assessed my son, took his full history into consideration, and developed a plan to help remediate his auditory processing issues. 3 years later we have made progress across all areas, and are either at normal or on the cusp of normal ranges. Dr. Woods worked with us, all of our therapists, our child study team (she even came to our IEP meeting), and our doctors. She was always available, honest, kind, and really helped my son. I highly recommend her and her practice.

What can I say about speech and hearing? Not just that The staff is super professional starting from the receptionist at the front desk and them you come to what you think it’s a “regular speech session” them you find Ms Melissa silva recommendation of course” what an exceptional speech session. From the first session you see the passion she has for her professional and how much her heart is there for those kids. Melissa is great in communication with the parents and w my Kid speech Therapist in school. She calls talks to her to make sure they are in same page also share what she been working with my son along with how he is doing with her. I can be happier with her. I tell all my friends about melissa. My son normally has a little hard time to go places where he know he has to work but as soon as I say we going to see Ms Melissa he can’t get his shoes fast enough. We also highly recommend social skills group with her. Melissa is a bless in my son life and we will be with her as long as he need it.

This review is just over 4yrs in the making. Our son has taken speech therapy with Mrs. Melissa since he was just over 3yrs old and for the last year hes been in her social skills class. Today he Graduated and while we will miss Mrs.Melissa(and the staff), we are so proud of how far hes come. Mrs.Melissa has been nothing short of phenomenal. She worked along with our sons school speech teacher to make sure he was getting the best most effective lessons to help him along. The last year has taught him how to socialize and express himself to better communicate and interact with others and has really helped him open up and be a better boy. The staff always made us feel welcomed and will never hesitate to recommend Speech and Hearing to any of our Family or Friends! Thank You!!

Great speech therapists; they are very friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. The sessions are fun (both speech and social skills!). Ms Melissa is very energetic, positive and happy person that is why my son loves to come to social skills session as he can interact with his new friends plus at the same time learn important skills in a fun way! We love this place!

We’ve seen great improvements in our daughter’s social skills. She learned proper behavior around her peers. I highly recommend this.

I have been hearing impaired for many years and have dealt with many hearing aid providers along the way. I came by Dr. Susan Woods, AuD through a recommendation from a woman with severe hearing loss who was very difficult to fit for an aid. Dr. Wood worked with her through all her difficulty and helped her. This impressed me and when I met Dr. Woods for my own hearing aid, I found her to be very professional and knowledgeable and on target with what she recommended for me. I felt I was being served by a knowledgeable diagnostician rather than someone simply marketing a hearing instrument. She acted as the audiologist she was as opposed to a hearing aid dispenser. This was important to me. After my fitting I left her service knowing I could return with any subsequent problems I might have.

I called to make an appointment for my child and the secretary was so RUDE, that I was turned off from even using their services or bringing my child here. She seemed very annoyed when I asked questions about the process. If she is the one I need to speak to every time I make my appointments, NO THANK YOU!

Very friendly staff..my 2 year old son needed to have his hearing tested and the doctor was great..my son has some sensitivity issues and was scared when he went into the booth at first but she calmed him down...overall great experience

Speech and Hearing Associates (SHA) is, in my opinion, the best source for speech therapy in New Jersey. Their Speech-Language pathologists are top notch and easily accessible throughout the state and one can easily find a practitioner skilled in either pediatric or adult cases.Special props go to SHAs billing department and insurance-wranglers. Insurance coverage for speech therapy is often quite murky and frustratingly obscure but the SHA crew know their insurance double-speak and WILL go the extra mile to either ensure that the patient understands what the insurance companies are thinking or ensure that the insurance companies dont weasel their way out of paying their due.Long story short: Go to them if you need speech therapy!
