This is a long review but worth your timeOur Mazda 3 would discharge its battery completely over 2-3 days sitting in the garage. Weve had it looked at repeatedly, including three trips to the dealership. The dealers final answer - leave it on a trickle charger - has been our solution for the past two years.Last week, we left it at Bobs for an oil change and it discharged in their parking lot. They kept it, did research, and narrowed the problem to an $1100 computer component that wouldnt sleep, which they could order and install. We agreed, happy to have a real fix even at a significant cost.Without prompting from us, their technicians researched further and thought the bluetooth module might be at fault. He disconnected that module and left it over the weekend. The car stayed charged.Bobs called and offered to just disconnect the feature we dont use anyway, saving us an $1100 repair.You dont find diligence, competence, and common sense like that everywhere, just sayin

I was told by a car dealer I needed new brakes, only 10 % left. Took it to Bobs they told me I didnt need them yet, still at 40%. They are honest, call if problems, and charge is in line with others.

Quick help with a flat tire, very nice folks

My family has been taking our cars to Bobs for several years now and its because they are so honest and give you a good account of the what the repairs will cost and even if it is worth you fixing the car or consider selling it. We just had our 2008 Turbo charged Mazda CX7 with 114,000 miles on it in there and they advised us that we have several serious issues with the car that would cost at least $3,000 and possibly more. They actually told us that the car may be just not be worth fixing, but of course it was up to us. I checked the cars value using CarFax.com, typing in the VIN number, used fair condition and our zip code. Carfax said it had a value of $1,760 for trade-in value and $3,080 for sale by private party. We decided to sell it to a local dealer for $1,500 as is and felt good about it rather than spend $3,000 or possibly more for repairs. I am thankful to Bobs for their honesty and helpfulness.

Every interaction I have had with the employees at Bob’s Garage has been fantastic! These guys are very knowledgeable and no have known how to repair every issue I have brought to them! They are very respectful in explaining what’s wrong with the car and why they think it should be repaired and I feel they are very honest and fair in both their recommendations and the price for the work. Got new spark plugs installed in my 2009 car with 108,000 miles. They were almost half the cost of the dealership, and use the best possible plugs. When you walk in you can tell that this is a top flight place. The shop is clean and orderly. Watching the mechanics as they work you know these guys are professional. Had an 8:00 appointment, and I waited for my car in the waiting room, which was nice. I was out of there before 9:30This is the second time I have brought my car here but will be back as needed.

We recently moved to the area and needed to find a local shop. Standards are high because our previous repair shop was stellar. Bob’s did not disappoint, it is by far the best find in Westfield. Our family has been taking our vehicles to BOBs GARAGE for many years. They have always been accommodating and are exceptionally knowledgeable in diagnosing problems. On my recent visit, I picked up my car at closing time and noticed my tire light was on. I called the garage and was told to immediately come back for a re-look - and this was after hours. As it turned out, I was riding on a flat tire!? and didnt know it.The problem was quickly repaired. Any other place would have had me come back the next day - and by that time, I could have done real damage to my tire and rim. If you take care of your car, your car will take care of you and BOBs GARAGE will take care of both.

Best mechanics around. Dont waste your time and money going somewhere else because they will charge you the same or more than Bill to keep your car for two weeks and still not fix what was wrong. Bill always treats us right and makes sure to take care in letting me know what he did and how my car is doing.

Got charged for a 4-Wheel alignment on a vehicle with a solid rear axle. There is nothing to adjust on the rear. I will not be returning. Service was quick however and the price was decent.After a call from the manager, it was said to be a computer entry error. This has been corrected.

I had a very pleasant experience this morning. I took my daughters car to Bobs for some rear brake noise.It turned out to be a dust cover plate that had come loose creating the noise. That mechanic, James was very thorough, knowledgeable and pleasant. Also the real nice and helpful lady at the desk, Im so sorry I never got her name. Oh, and there was no charge for a wonderful job well done. This was our first time using Bobs Garage. We had taken my wifes truck in for a routine Oil Change to our local Chevy Dealership and after being serviced my Truck had a warning light come on for the Safety Restraint System. Apparently one of the impact sensors had gone bad and needed replacement and they quoted my about $550 for the service. Being a little more than upset that the part had miraculously gone bad under their care and supervision, I decided to seek out other mechanics in the area and was referred to Bobs Garage via a Next Door post.So I called in, explained my situation and even some research I had done on my own which made it seem like this was a part I might actually be able to replace by myself. They took the time to listen and made some recommendations based on what I was telling them and frankly, it was just nice to have someone not try to talk over my head but rather, explain in detail what they would do, how much they charge and why they suggest I have it done by a professional. Ultimately I ended up bringing the truck in and they took care of me for even LESS than they had initially quoted which was half of what the Dealership was going to charge me for the same work! I call that a big win and well DEFINITELY be coming back the next time we have any issues with either of our vehicles.Thank you guys again!

While I was back home in Indiana for a family funeral, my teenage nephew backed into my car. One side of the bumper was loose, and the wheel shield was rubbing against my tire. I still had 20 hours to drive to get back home and was worried that my tire would be damaged. Even though they were short-handed at the time, the owner stopped what he was doing to check out my car. In just a few minutes, he had the car tweaked well enough for me to safely get back home. He had no idea that Id just come from a funeral, yet he was still kind enough to help me . . . and then refused to take any payment! Ive told all my family about the great customer service, and I would highly recommend Bobs Garage.

Bobs is a great family owned business. Bob and his son Bill will treat you well and fairly. I have gone to Bobs to have my entire oil pump changed on my 98 Camry, a flat tire repaired, and multiple oil changes. I know his prices are fair because my dad is a mechanic in Massachusetts. I go to Bobs even though I pass several other Mechanics on my way there (fifteen minutes away).

Bobs is one of the only places I trust around Indy to do high quality, honest work. Its sometimes very frustrating trying to find a trustworthy garage these days--Ive dealt with my fair share of sketchy mechanics just looking to make your wallet a little (or a lot) lighter. Bobs has always treated us right and gone above and beyond on several occasions. They know their craft and will be up-front and honest with you. Bobs is 16 miles from my house--would I make that drive if it wasnt worth it?

I was quoted $900 for a fix that ended up only needing to be a $300 job. Bill was extremely unprofessional with me and I was accused of lying about when I would pick up my car. There was no part of my experience here that was pleasant and I would highly recommend anyone and everyone avoid doing business with these folks.

Obviously one can go anywhere to have ones oil changed. However, if you also have automotive mechanical repair questions and need it done right, this is where you want go. It is apparent that expertise, time and cost are just as important values to them as they are for me. Never felt like a number........

Im from out of town, but my car broke down in Westfield and I had it towed to Bobs Garage. They were honest with me and said it wasnt worth putting the money into the car to have it fixed. That might be the first time when a mechanic was trying to convince me NOT to spend $1k at their shop. I dont live in theIndianapolis area, but for anyone who does, I would highly recommend Bobs Garage for their honesty and integrity.

Being a single mother I have been able to go to Bobs garage for just simple things like oil changes to my brakes sounding funny and everytime they have taken great care of me! Unlike most garages and even oil lube places they never tried to sell or charge me for things my suv didnt need I live 45 mins from them and I still wont go anywhere else!

I took a BMW that had brand new suspension. I wanted a alignment and to make sure all suspension parts were tight. Less than a week later a shock bolt fell out and I took to another shop only to find the alignment Bob charged me twice for was so out of spec it couldve ruined my tires. Will never go back.

Couldnt say enough positive things about these folks, my truck went to 2 other shops and a dealer (none of whom could diagnose my problem) The Dealer said they had to replace an EGR valve and fuel pump (both of these parts were replaced a month previous but since they werent OEM, they claimed they were bad and wanted $1100 to fix those things before they could diagnose the problem I asked them to check (transmission wouldnt shift out of 1st) Dropped the truck off with Bobs garage and they had it fixed the next morning for less than $300 and it had nothing to do with the EGR or fuel pump.Do yourself a favor and start with these guys before going anywhere else.
