Odie is a wonderful hair stylist! She did an amazing job with my hair for my wedding, the only complaint is that the curls definitely did not last and fell out immediately upon my return home. Prior to the ceremony, I had to recurl them and apply more hairspray. Then they stayed in!Otherwise, fantastic service and very clean environment! A little on the pricy end, but worth it.

Excellent stylists, nice interior, and clean everytime I go. The front desk staff are a bit stuffy and rude at points, very true to westerly. Definitely worthwhile to go though, just dont try to engage the cranky lady at the desk.

I went to Nancy at Uptown Salon & Spa for a color + cut correction after an unfortunate experience at another salon. From the separate consultation appointment through to the final result at the end of my actual hair appointment, Nancy was thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable, and a consummate professional. She listened to what I wanted, and gave me some great professional advice.I love my new color and cut, and look forward to going back to her in the future! She is truly a hidden gem!!

I had a vision in mind and Dori not only really listened and asked questions about what I would and wouldn’t like but she knocked it out of the ballpark. Honestly, my hair looked even better than I had hoped for. She completely captured what I was looking for and I can’t wait to go back to her next time. I would absolutely recommend her for any coloring you are looking to do.

I was in town from NY and stopped by the salón for a blow out. The space is so neat and clean, the service was beyond exceptional and my stylist Natalie was so sweet and friendly and gave me a fabulous blowout! I loved my experience from start to finish. I have found my new spot for whenever I’m in town!

It is unfortunate that the receptionist lost a client for who once was my hairdresser here. My hairdresser was professional, highly skilled and kind. But the unprofessionalism and rude, I mean rude, manner of the receptionist was so unnecessary. I had accidentally missed an appointment so according to her I had to pay but then I had to ask a ton of questions for her to say that my next cut was being paid for by this payment. Also, she said I was notified via a phone call per their policy - I looked in all my records and I had no record of a call (guess they only believe their staff who makes phone calls for them). As for the payment being pulled off my card - why even do that then - she said it was in the policy... ... so I guess customers have to follow policies but her staff doesnt. Moral of story: 1. No reminders of appointments (well they will lie when they dont) and 2. pay cash (so they can not just pull the money off your card for future appointments.).

I was in the area for a few days and on a rainy day I gave them a call in the hopes they had an opening for a facial and/or massage. The staff member who took my call was so warm and friendly and said she had an opening for just what I needed....pampering! They welcomed me with joy and professionalism and immediately escorted me to the spa area of the facility. My facial with Petra was just glorious! She did a comprehensive analysis of my skin care concerns and needs and genuinely seemed interested in what brought me to the spa - I told her more than anything I wanted to just relax and drift off. She delivered! An incredible facial customized to my needs, paraffin hand treatment during massage and glowing skin. I could not have been more pleased with the service. Then on to a 90 minute massage with Jody. I like a strong Swedish style, not quite deep tissue but close. OMG - she broke out all the big guns from her strength as a therapist to hot stones, hot towels, more hot stones, more hot towels...there were so many surprises over the 90 minutes that when I stumbled out of the treatment room a almost felt like I was tipsy. The facility is beautiful and immaculate, the treatment rooms were huge and the staff were consummate professionals. I will definitely book services again on my next visit to Westerly. Thank you!

This was my first visit. I had a massage and was thoroughly satisfied. Actually over the top satisfied!! I specifically chose Kayla because of her special skills in massage that help with fascia release of tight spots and because of her interest in massage therapeutics with athletes and active people. So glad I met Kayla and I have booked another appointment! Totally awesome.

I started going to Uptown a few years ago primarily massages. Everyone there is so nice and the services allow for many choices. This is how I start my vacations in Rhode Island. Priceless!

Olivia gave me the absolute best massage. I have a rotator cuff injury and something weird with my wrist. She was great.

It’s a pretty salon if you have the money for it. I went for a facial that was pretty basic and nice. Everyone working there is extremely kind. I went for a haircut. I asked for only 1 inch to be cut off and I have 4 inches missing and my hair was cut/weirdly textured so much that I lost all my fullness. I’m mourning my missing hair and don’t kno how to style this mess. But 6 months will fix that I guess.

While I was super grateful they were the only place that was able to get me in on short notice, and the stylist was super friendly-I’m disappointed with the “balayage” I received and realized I should’ve waited for my regular hairstylist at a different salon. Looked great when I left as it was down and curled but after washing it, I realized multiple issues. Upon calling to see if I could have it fixed- I was assured I’d also be charged at least $75 on top of the $160 I’ve already paid. 1/17/19 I have now left 2 messages and asked for an email to address this further with no answer.

I had my first appointment at the Uptown Salon about a month ago. The entire experience was great. The Salon is upscale but relaxed and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Ericka gave me a fantastic cut and I am receiving compliments all of the time. I will definitely return. Thank you!

This was the first haircut I got that I really liked. As a guy with thinning hair its hard to find a good haircut but they are really good with hair and answered all my questions. Note: Bring in cash so you can tip, because theres no tip option for credit cards

I usually love it here, have been going for a year. But I showed up to my 9 am appointment, having confirmed with the text sent to me the day before reminding me of the time- I check in and sit down and then the manager (I think) walks over and says my hair dresser no longer works there. Why did no one call me? I revolved my whole day off around this. Extremely frustrating. She preceded to tell me where my hair dresser went to and I could go there (?!) or i could come back at 1:30 to see someone new. I feel it was poorly handled. Should have accomodated me that morning, in addition shouldn’t have suggest I follow my dresser to another town. I live up the street. And when I asked if they had all the information on what she had used to do my hair they said they could call and ask her.... they should have my info on file it shouldn’t be with the hair dresser only. I left feeling very soured and with a different feeling of the place- not good.

Massage by Jodi was to die for!! Pedicure was less than desirable! Daughter and I went together-She had Sam, who was amazing! I had Shayna- never again. Terrible! Nails left in same condition and painted only half the nail. Wanted to stop with her and have Sam finish! Was not worth the $35 and a pre-tip. Sorry!

Do you enjoy being treated like dirt? Then maybe this spas for you. One would think that showing up 15 minutes early for an appointment would be a good idea. Not with this place. Youll just end up sitting there for 45 minutes while the person whose supposed to be cutting your hair chooses her friend instead.. Horrible experience, never returning to his place. After 45 minutes of waiting and watching people come and go from the waiting room, I finally told the front desk staff that they had lost their client. As I walked out I could still see the person who was supposed to be cutting my hair chatting away and laughing with her friend. Just stay away from this place, they dont deserve to have customers the way they treat their clients. Miserable experience

One stop shop for everything under one roof .. since I started coming here i dont need to worry about the products that they use because they always use best quality .. Michelle for skin and Natalie for hair are the best I highly recommend them ..

The location is very clean and people there are very friendly, however, I went for a full leg and arm wax. Usually it takes people about 45 min to an hour to get both done. I was there for 2 hours. The person waxing me was SO nice, but she stated several times that it was her first body wax and was asking me what she should do at certain times during the waxing. I have patches in several areas and my skin is NOT smooth like it usually is - seems like she did not rip the hair form the root properly so it broke off leaving stubble behind. In my opinion, if you have a brand new aesthetician, you should be letting clients know ahead of time and should absolutely NOT charge the same price as an experienced person at the same location.*Note - changed to one star because the owner did not contact me back after i left a message for her with someone.

Ive gone here about 5 times for nails but about 12 times including appointments for fixing the broken nails. Every time I go for gels, they break within two days. The last time I went, my nail broke on the way out of the salon. Every time this happens. Do not go to Uptown.
