Valeria does such a nice job. She help me in an emergency with a bridesmaid dress that came in late and had to be alter last minute.

They altered an expensive dress and when done the sides were all bumpy and looked horrible. I would never use their services again. Maybe OK for hemming pants.

Valeria altered the lapels on my husbands sport jacket and suit jacket so they were narrower like current fashion trends. They look like new garments. What an excellent job and so reasonable. Highly recommend this excellent seanstress/ tailor!

I am visiting a friend in Westerly and wanted the band on this wonderful sleep mask I have repaired. My friends seamstress had retired so I did a search for Alterations and found several. I spoke to one woman and she seemed not to be interested. I stopped by Valerias because it was convenient for me. She was very willing to do the work; for a reasonable price; and met my need to have the mask done in a few days. I am so happy with her work. The repair made the mask secure and comfortable. I am recommending her to my friend who lives here.

I had some miscommunications with Valeria about what I wanted done with my dress, even though I thought I explained what I wanted. I wanted the straps shortened (they were so long the strap adjustment bit is showing right in the front of the dress, which looks awful) and just a straight hem. She didnt shorten the straps at all and made the hem curved (following the original design of the dress), which is probably why it cost $18 to have my cheap, single layer dress hemmed. I could have hemmed the thing myself, but I wanted it to look nice because I have to wear it for a friends wedding. Guess it doesnt matter since now I have to shorten the straps myself, which is going to look awful. And the dress is completely wrinkled because it was sitting around in a bag and is made of weird easy-to-wrinkle material. Im just disappointed and wish I had been better able to communicate what I wanted.

Was in a huge pinch with my wedding 12 days away and a broken zipper on a bridesmaid dress. My friend went to another shop in town and was treated so rudely. I called around and Valeria was the only one who was willing to help. She said come on in now which my friend did. She did an amazing job and prices are phenomenal! Highly recommend.
