Way too big of a company. Tried to reschedule a re-spray the first time and never heard back from them after they told me a technician would call to do that. Second time I called it would be about a month before a re-spray, after finding webs and spiders after 2 weeks from our 2nd spray. Ive never had to wait that long with other companies. They over-charge! They add every little rodent, pest, insect on top of an already expensive charge. Weve had the same services done, including mice and whatever insects we find, for way less and received results! It was my fault for letting them sell me at the door. Just got charged 160.00 to cancel my 12 month plan. The receptionists were very calm and friendly when I wasnt, so kudos to them!
The best part of the nationwide company, Eco Shield, is Jeff C. The reason this review is only receiving 4 stars is due to the initial sales call and spotty service we received.Honestly, if I could review EcoShield only on customer Service, I would without hesitation give all 5 stars ⭐️ to Jeff C. He is also the reason EcoShield is getting a 4 star review instead of 3.Jeff C is kind. He went out of his way to resolve my concerns. He was patient. He promised to follow through and then he actually followed up and followed up often. When he was confused, instead of making assumptions, he listened and asked more clarifying questions. He definitely showed me respect as an EcoShield customer, never dropping the ball. These days I rarely experience such a high and attentive level of customer service. Thank you, Jeff C. Actually my encounter today was with a young lady named Shelby who Far out shines her coworkers she was polite, sensitive, quick and reasonable. We were able to take care of a payment immediately as I have been out of the country she waive the late fee for me since I have been a “Long time customer”. My encounter today was so pleasant and I felt I needed to give this young lady some recognition. Thanks Shelby for going out of your way to fix a solution with empathy and respect. Well done my dear.
We just had another service completed from Daniel and Carson who were excellent. They were very thorough and addressed all areas we asked them to and avoided areas we asked them not to spray. They also gave me a great suggestion on how to seal up a potential rodent access point into the house and told us about a free inspection we can get through ecoshield for the insulation up in our attic. Their staff are always very friendly, professional, and personable. We have been using Ecoshield for several years now and I would recommend them to anyone with a serious bug and pest problem on their house and property.
Carter was the young man who serviced the outside of my house for various insects. He also set out devices for rodents. He answered all my questions, was thorough, efficient and very pleasant. I appreciate working with a company that is local and available to talk to.

My husband and I had the best experience with EcoShield!! Highly recommend, I am very impressed. The technicians, Matt and Carter, were awesome! Super professional and very thorough. And to top all of that, they were as concerned for my pets safety as I was! They gave us a two hour time frame of when we could expect them to arrive and they arrived 30 minutes early, which was great! They were super efficient and gave me a run down of which products were used and which areas of the house were treated. They even got down in the crawl space of our house, which was a literal spiders nest, and cleaned it all out. They do a great job at keeping the critters out of my house. We moved in 5 years ago to a huge ant colony and wasp problem and spiders inside. We dont really see anything anymore in the year they have been coming. It is more than I want to spend, but not waking up with spiders on you is well worth it. They have come out in between services to take care of the wasps last summer. I love that!
When I signed up they said it would be 50 dollars if I canceled early. They said they were going to charge me 150. I had to send them the video from my doorbell showing their technician said 50. Thankfully I have footage from 20 days ago or else I would have lost out on $100 buck. Do not use them. They use deceptive tactics. They lie. And they are not professional. Avoid at all costs. I would never recommend them. Ever.
Make sure to read everything! Salesmen are incredibly aggressive in getting you to pay for more services. They neglect to tell you about any services past the initial service and you are truly expected to know what youre getting into before you sign a contract. Signed things not understanding the full scope of the service which is on me but when salesmen arent upfront it is way more sketchy. Language in the contract is also minimal and feels more like legal jargon to skirt around actually typing out the numbers. Just be careful! or end up paying a 150 dollar cancellation fee that even in the contract, the number is willfully absent.
Do not use!!! This place is super sketchy. Showed up at my house and wouldn’t let me go back inside as they droned on and on even when I expressed my disinterest several times. Didn’t know until further into the sign up process this is a recurring service that will cost over $600 a year on the low end. I was asked what I needed to do if I wanted to cancel and I was told I’d just have to pay back the money I was given in their deal but was charged a $150 cancellation fee. Even when I tried to cancel they badgered me with more services to stay. The service people were nice but they sprinkle some dust for no more than 15 minutes which seems high for $150 a pop. Beware!!!
Full scam. I was lied to about services. Every person was an abrasive and aggressive sales person. Stay away!I then was told I could cancel without a fee and that was another lie. Now I have been on the phone for an hour trying to get my money back.Since I spoke to them, I have found 3 companies who do more than EcoShield actually does for a third of the price. Please dont fall for this pyramid scheme with terrible customer service.
I have used this company for a few years. I still have major ants which like coffee grounds all around my driveway and road. There was a cut off tree stump by my garage that the carpenter ants were having a great time. I still see baby spiders and big spiders on the driveway and my back yard sidewalk. It’s really funny that I use Home Defense in my garage. NO BUGS! Go figure. I only saw 2 reviews that were very positive. Give me a break after all the business they do I saw 2.

Hired them to address a rodent problem. The technician came out to my property on Friday when I was at work and treated the outside of my house. I had requested they not come. The technician left the gate to my backyard wide open allowing all of my animals to escape including my chickens. Had to pay animal services to get my dog back. Called the company and they would do nothing about the issue. Tried to cancel service, took me nearly a week, they charged me a cancelation fee.
Eco Shield is great a selling you lies and misinformation. I spoke to Eco shield representative of how long their technicians were at home home completing the service. The representative indicated it was an hour, when on video it was 4 minutes. They didnt complete the job they said they did. When confronted the sales rep canceled my contract without a fee, however charged me the $145 for the service they did not complete. They will also attempt to sell you pest control on pests that are not even in your area. Be aware of the scam. Bugs are yucky, but dont be sold on fear.

All pest control companies are the same. The salesmen lie and stretch the truth about what their service is and what it covers. The biggest lie they sell is that theyre plant based but that not the case. I would know because I sadly worked for this pathetic company.

Where most recent ratings describe similar faults and shady business practices.Signed up with the company last year after a door knocker came by. Over priced my contract to the point that I had to ask for an adjustment to the agreement. Other pest control companies in the area are cheaper for the same service. The fresh faced sales people are there to help push you into their over priced services.Please, shop your options when they come to your door. Do not agree to any contract on site, and remember their sales incentive to you is really a costly balance for you to pay once you realize you’ve been duped.Updated to two stars: the new service I have hired locally is a quarter of the cost, does not use bee unfriendly products, and has had so much more success keeping bugs away from my home. The beginning of July 2021 a salesman knocked on my door stating my neighbor had Ecoshield perform pest control on his home. Ecoshield would charge $99.00 to do my yard & each next service would cost $150.00.The initial spray kills the aults, the following sprays kills the babies.I informed the salesman & technician where the wasps were, 1st & 2nd slats in the covering/roof of the back porch.On the first service I saw the technician use a duster to sweep away spider webs around my house & garage.I didn’t see anyone spray anything on the grounds of my house or garage.The next day wasps were buzzing everywhere. (I’m allergic to bee’s/wasps).I called the company the day after the service was performed complaining about the wasps.The gal that answered stated, oh let’s bump up your next service to 2 weeks away which would cost me $150.00.On day 2, I called Ecoshield again this time stating I wanted to cancel.Ecoshield sent me an e-mail stating they received my cancellation.1st week of August 2021 Ecoshield sends me an invoice for $150.00.Holy cow, nothing like paying over $200.00 for a dust job on the outside of my home & garage.Oh BYW, it will cost you another $150.00 cancellation fee to get out of the contract.

Called to schedule a touch up between regular services because we hadnt had them spray the inside in a while. Salesman made it sound great didnt fully explain all the details when the man came to spray he didnt fully spray the house I asked him why he said by law he can only spray so much chemical on one property and for the amount of money that it cost and the amount of spiders and ants I still have it is a very poor quality they said they was going to be here they gave me a schedule after the first treatment said they would be here the next month on the 21st the next month came on the 21st no word called on the 23rd said they couldnt be in the area until the 1st of the next month in my business if I give somebody a schedule I would honor that schedule and be there that scheduled day knowing that people make arrangements and have other things to do and they said they put granules down for the ants they did not the time he was here was less than 20 minutes very surprising for the amount of money it cost I am very disappointed cuz I know in years past theyve done a good job for other people I know but for us and just was no good not recommended 👎

Ask for JAZ! Let me first explain our situation: We have had the service for a year. It was questionable at first if we were making progress but the company stayed with it and continued to address our concerns. We had an agreement to stay with them for the year at a special rate and we have completed that requirement. Today I called to ask about an email regarding my payment and asked if there was a discount or what the price would be going forward. Jaz was very helpful and quick to respond to my questions and made sure I was satisfied with the answers. She really did a wonderful job and is a great asset to the company. I hope they recognize her for her efforts. she is the kind of person we all want to have on the other side of the phone line when we call. Yes, she is the reason why I feel it would be best to continue with EcoShield, mostly because I know if there ever is a problem I know someone who is there who take the time to help the customer. I will also credit the other representatives I have dealt with as being professional, courteous and thorough giving quality service and having integrity.

While my experience is long over and dates back years ago I cant believe they are still going door to door during the height of critter time (ants for us right now) so they can seem to save the day just when the critters start to recede and then basically lock you in to a contract you can not get out of when you realize you were swindled. How are door to door sales (which are so often pushy and uncomfortable) still a thing? Also, rumor has it they are laying down rat poison in neighborhoods that is killing wildlife such as hawks. The irony of the company name is not lost on anyone.

We started seeing cockroaches around the house & we call & they come down & spray the house, I specifically ask to spray where we see them for often, we even had a “specialist” come down & they told us he would probably spend and hour our more inspecting the house, he was here 5 minutes & all he said was well don’t see any right now, just don’t leave food on the counter & left About to be a year getting treatments & the cockroaches still don’t go away, they are just getting bigger now. 100% wouldn’t recommend. Super disappointed

The product they use to keep bugs away works to a degree. we still have spiders and other bugs get in the house. We did a 1 year contract with them and will be ending it this month. We decided to end it based on the price and the lack of consistency. My wife also felt a little pressured to buy in to the contract even though I wasnt onboard. We have had several visits from them for our contractual agreements and they schedule times to visit which is great, the problem is they always came early and then wouldnt spray the inside of the property. My wife would schedule it so she was home or I was but then they would call and say we can come now if thats okay, its not because no one was home. They would come anyway, spray the outside and leave a sorry we missed you card on the door with a call back number incase we want the inside done too, well of course we do which is why we schedule it so someone is home. Regardless, product is decent, getting the product in the house is harder than you would think.

I try really hard to be someone who only speaks positively about businesses, but I cant let this one go. I signed up with Eco shield about 6 months ago. The salesman apparently didnt explain the program correctly... he told me that I would pay $100 some-odd dollars for the service that day and that Id get a FREE follow-up 2-3 weeks later and then they would come 1x per quarter for maintenance. So 2-3 weeks later they came to do the FREE follow-up and the next thing I know Im getting a bill.I called them, trying to work with them and the best they could do was $25 off the free follow-up. I feel like this was a complete bait and switch and the excuse of well our salesman must have told you wrong isnt cutting it for me.Then a guy came by a few weeks ago to spray but I told him I didnt want it until I sorted out the mess with corporate, so he left and didnt spray. I just got a bill for Services Rendered on 10/19. Cool, now I have to add this to the growing list of things to work out with them so they dont send my account to collections.Im bummed because I really wanted their services but it looks like Ill have to find someone else that isnt underhanded like Eco Pest Control.I would steer clear from this business.

The sales rep was very deceitful. He told me they could do. The service for $100.00 today and that we could sign up for quarterly treatments. The exterminator is the only thing that I can say is professional. I told them that we cant afford them to come out quarterly and continue. They didnt care because they said I signed the contract. They want me to pay $200.00 to get out of a contract before even performing a service. Very unethical and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Its very difficult to cancel your service if you decide you dont want it. Even if you sign up for a certain length of service, theyll continue showing up and charging your card.

My technician was enthusiastic about the service and knowledgeable. I would have him come every time if I could. He helped me out with some rodent traps I discovered on my property - just bought a house - he explained how they operated. He baited them again for me. Very helpful.
Ever since I switched to EcoShield I now have spiders ALL the time, inside and out. Now there are tons of boxelder bugs, just all kinds of bugs. I actually was sitting on the couch last night and one landed on my hand. They came out in July, that was my first appointment. They were supposed to come out again in 30 days. I waited and waited and the spiders were getting bad again so I called them in September. They gave some lame excuse why they missed the 30 day visit. They sprayed again in September and I still have spiders. They want to charge me a $200.00 early cancellation fee....for what?? I dont pay for things that dont work. The only reason I gave one star is because there isnt an option for zero stars.

I have been impressed with EcoShield so far. The products they use are pet friendly, which is very important to me. I am also impressed that they are cautious with what/where/why they apply products so as to not do any harm to good bugs (e.g. honey bee’s). They do a great job answering my questions, and their customer service and responsiveness has been incredible.
Our technician (SKYLER) was very efficient, thorough, and professional. He did a great job and spent time getting all the cobwebs down around the house and making sure our bate boxes looked perfect. GREAT service every time.
Our technician Patrik was great! He was professional and went above and beyond to address all my concerns. He was helpful in answering my questions, extremely personable, hard working, and knowledgeable. I was super impressed that my son remembered Patrik from a previous treatment because of his kind and professional manner, even with him wearing a mask, which makes it hard to recognize anyone these days. All of the technicians from Eco Sheild have been helpful and friendly. And we haven’t had spiders in the house which makes it worth it every time.

My wife scheduled a bimonthly treatment for rats. The office said they had a specialist for rats. They did an inspection and said you have a major problem. We have a specialist that will rid you of the rats, but you must pay $650 up front for the service. After paying the $650, they did not perform and a month passed without any specialized service. I would not recommend this service. With other contractors, we pay after the service has been completed and the customer has verified the results of the work. They have refused to refund our money!

When they show up at your door at 9pm I was already a bit frustrated with them and declined their service. I should have left it there, but when they came around again in the afternoon I agreed because I hate bugs. The actual service was good, but their main office is a joke. I was never told that they would automatically schedule me. I’ve had to call and cancel and tell them I would call when I was ready. Today was the 5th time in a month that I’ve had to call them to cancel. I’ve been sick and I’m getting ready to have surgery so I cannot have anyone around until after at. If I’d known they were going to be so pushy I’d never have signed up

Jolie was fun to chat with and I let her know the only thing out of the ordinary this time around were ants congregating around our back door. Asked her about it and she told me this is fairly typical during the summer. When she was finished she also let me know she discovered and took care of a small spider nest in the basement. We were sitting at home when the doorbell rang. We were busy at the time, and with the pandemic we didnt want to deal with someone face-to-face. After several seconds, he rang the doorbell again, which we also ignored. Then he opens our glass door and pounds loudly on the wooden security door. This caused our dogs to freak out, and one of them now has a strained/sprained foot and can barely walk. I opened a side door and demanded that he leave our property (he was immediately compliant, to his credit). He wasnt wearing a mask and he opened our glass door? If I had opened the security door when he began knocking, I would have had this guy standing two feet from me. Normally, I like chatting with sales folks...not someone who enjoys chasing people off my property. I understand hes trying to make a living, but he should know when to stop. New info: he opened two of our gates to access our front door (fenced front yard) and failed to shut either one properly. The next morning one of our dogs escaped the front yard through one of those gates that he failed to shut. Luckily, a neighbor was outside and herded up our dog before it was hit by a car.
I had them come do a treatment at my home a few months ago and I am still struggling with the same issue. I have requested them to come back multiple times (as they say they will) for weeks after the time line they gave me to wait. I keep getting told they will reach out to me to resolve the issue but yet I never hear from anyone.
Always friendly and fast quarterly service. Even though this year has been terrible for bugs, theyve been awesome at coming to do their free touch up service in between normal services to keep our spiders and earwigs under control.
Nathan Bonzo was awesome! Was very knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the process. Was friendly and seemed really eager to help meet our needs and get us taken care of. Noticed additional areas of concern around the house beyond what we originally needed and offered recommendations for how we could improve the situation. Totally went above and beyond what was expected and we look forward to working with him again!
Pushy and unprofessional! Tonight was the second time a salesman has knocked on our door past 9pm. Both times we have said we aren’t interested in the services and didn’t wish to waste the time talking about it. The salesman gave us the same story about a neighbor was using them (it sounds like many others have heard this as well.) The first time I told them my husband took care of all of our yard needs and tonight my husband answered the door and said he didn’t want to waste the guys time because we weren’t interested again and yet he still gave his sales pitch for 10-15 minutes. He told us tonight that all of the product had been purchased and that we needed to help him out so product wasn’t wasted. And that times were tough so we needed to help him work again. I find it all very unprofessional, very pushy and I wouldn’t give this company my business even if I was in the marker for pest control.
