This was my experience: Initial set up for recycling containers was easy and great. I wish they offered every week, as we are a big household in the country and order a lot of products online. Remembering to set out the can every other week wasnt easy for us. One day we forgot to set it out, so they left us a note on the can that said we had been reported for not putting it out by 6 am on our assigned day. I thought I dont have time to deal with this. So I went to cancel. They let me know via e-mail that they would come pick up the can for removal, and that we didnt have to set it out on the street. They didnt mention if it had to be empty. I still put it out on the street, but we had a few boxes in there that needed to be recycled. I thought it would be fine to leave them in there, but I guess not, as they left those boxes strewn across the street where the can was.

We have had Ace taking care of the trash needs at our office for over 2 years. I have our account set up on autopay with a credit card. A while back they started to charge a credit card processing fee which was not reflected on the amount due of the invoice but was added to the credit card charge. I have no issue with that as it is only a little over $2. The issue is that they do not sent me a receipt for the amount that they actually charge me that I can add to my expense report for my company. If I attach the original invoice, it shows we owe less than we paid so my expense report gets sent back to me because the numbers dont match.I have contacted them numerous times regarding this since it happens each month. I called them today asking if they can make sure that the amount owed on the invoice matches what they charge my credit card. She said that I would have to talk to the rep who handles our account. He called me and I explained the issue. I told him that this was such a hassle for me every month that if they could not fix this issue I would need to switch to a different trash company that can send me an invoice that matches what they charge me. He told me that we would need to part ways because they cant do that. So I am looking for a different trash company over a little over $2 per month which I am happy to pay if they would just correct the invoices to match that amount they charge my credit card! I am very baffled with this lack of taking care of a customer!

Our entire neighborhood was missed on our garbage day, so we called to get someone to come out. Well they came and drove passed everyone else in our neighborhood even though you could tell theirs hadnt been picked up, and just got our and left. I tried calling the office several times before 5pm and just kept getting a message saying they were busy and to try again later. Either the person we talked to on the phone didnt listen or the driver messed up. Either way all of our neighbors now have to deal with a full green waste can during summer for another week, and this wasnt the first time this has happened..

We have a scheduled service with Ace to come pick up recycling twice a week. They have not come in over a week... Called every day and no one has been helpful.

My 3 year old is a big fan of all big vehicles, and he will often try to run and wave when he hears the garbage truck coming. Unfortunately we have a lock that he cannot unlock himself and I am often in a spot I cannot unlock it for him, so most weeks he misses it, and will try to wave through the window instead. It is an understatement to say that he was over-the-moon excited when he was outside waving to the bus this morning, and TWO garbage trucks approached at the same time, going opposite directions on our street. He waved his biggest wave, and imagine his delight when the garbage man got out of his truck, and came over to say hello! Not only that, he gave him a package of small toy tractors, which have been clutched in his hands since he received them. Ace has always been on time and efficient with picking up our garbage, and I have nothing but good things to say about them, but this review is to give a shout out to the amazing drivers (I am disappointed that I dont know their names) who noticed the delight of a little boy and took a minute to make his day. Thank you for being amazing!

I have called this company at least 5 times if not more, EVERY WEEK my trash bins are thrown in the middle of my driveway or on my lawn after pick up. Every time I call, they say they will talk to the driver and take my information, but every week it is the same story! I’ve never had an issue like this with other garbage companies and I’m not sure why this is happening. But obviously, calling them does not help.

Truck #708 hauling trailer #909 was doing well over 60mph on redwood road heading south towards 146th south, driving very aggressively, getting right up on peoples bumpers and flooring it to pass people. I have video evidence. Today’s date is 7/22/2019 12:40pm.

Ace have been amazing from the start. They dropped off the dumpster when they promised, did an early pick up for us when we were full and the customer service from their reps and drivers has been phenomenal!! Cant fault this company.

Ace is the best, I manage multiple commercial properties and they are always there as scheduled, willing to double back if necessary, drivers even get out of the truck and pick up what might fall out...always the best.

I have been a property manager for the last 15 years. I have worked with all of the disposal vendors in the area. Ace Disposal is by far the best. They are easy to work with, responsive, and have the best pricing and are fair with price increases. I have worked with other providers who do substantial increases on the price from year-to-year, with those other providers we have to watch their bills closely. Because of this we have recently gone to working only with Ace Disposal for our properties that are above the scope the respective cities can handle. Our sales rep is Denise and she has always been great to work with.

This is the 3rd time now that my trash hasnt been taken when the garbage man comes he picks up everyone elses trash on the same side as mine but completely forgets about mine. I live off of Claybourne Ave in South Salt Lake between State and Main and my trash can is still full. I dont understand why they keep forgetting mine when its clearly far enough out there to empty it. Im the only 4 plex on the block that he keeps driving by and not picking it up. So can I please get an answer to why mine isnt getting picked up because before I had no problem at all and then all of a sudden nothing. Smdh

I had tried to apply to get a job here and I was pretty impressed with the assessment tests that I was given ( obviously I have a brain). Then when they wanted to schedule a telephone interview and it was time for the call the next day, there was suddenly dropped calls but yet when I called in concerned and asked what can be done, I was immediately accused of being rude and the desk clerk wanted more information than what her concern was ( like why do you need HR?) It would be nice to see a concierge be just that, and not HR. BUT because I was judged over my voice and not my 25 years in the workforce, I was told they are not interested. They didnt even ask about any tickets/ accidents/ or even my glucose, active CDL. I thought it was awkward, to say least. Awkward business concept. I cant imagine that they would drop a call on a huge account or potential customer, for that matter.

Not sure why this company is so unreliable and sporadic. Maybe it’s from covid-19 I don’t know. But they used to come every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m so I’d always take my can out to the road around 6:30 before heading off to work, well for weeks they’ve been coming at random times or not coming at all! My whole street/area got missed a week ago and didn’t get dumped until WEDNESDAY. Start being CONSISTENT again please! Some of us have schedules that are precise and need our city workers to be more consistent and reliable! Not this unpredictable unreliable so called service... get it together ACE!!!

Denise with ACE is amazingly quick to respond. Their pricing is always competitive. In HOA management we require someone who responds as we do and Denise does not let us down. Highly recommend!

Again this morning I was awakened at 5:30 am by the sound of clanging dumpsters as Ace Recycling and Disposal decided that the county quiet hour rules didnt apply to them and came to the shopping center in my backyard in Stansbury Park. I had to report it to county authorities years ago and they had restricted their clanging and banging to after 7 for a long time, but this morning they decided to clang and bang at 5:30. My alarm was set for 6 today so it wasnt too bad. I want to congratulate this drive for excellent clanging and banging. He is a real pro at getting maximum noise from the available equipment. Update Ace reached out and promised it wont happen again.

I will gladly change my review if we can get a new trash can to replace the second one that has been lost in two years. I tried calling the number and was told someone could call me back with the trash can number.There’s something wrong with the system. We are on a narrow street and the trash cans are honestly flimsy. In the wind our trash can might be blowing somewhere and another neighbor thinks it’s theirs. We picked up a blown over can a week ago thinking it was ours but our neighbor had marked it with spray paint and said it was theirs.The fact that people have to spray paint their cans to find them suggests that there is a problem with the system. Either our cans are being misplaced by Ace or someone is stealing our can.If someone can call and help us get our can back or replaced I will gladly change my review. Thanks!

ACE is a great company to work for. My husband has worked for ACE as a driver for 19 years. Im in customer service and I have worked for ACE for almost 9 years & my daughter for 4 years. They care for & do their very best to take care of their employees. My husband is going to retire from ACE & I plan to do the same. I honestly love this company.

I came home tonight once again to find a disgusting pile of trash that fell out of our community dumpster during pick up, and which was simply ignored. I understand my neighbor called about it (again) and was told “that’s not our job.” When your job is to collect then trash and you drop some in the process, it becomes your job to then pick up the excess whether that is in your contract or not. Truly, the lack of pride in your work is disappointing, especially when this happens over and over.

I live in the Zeller apartments, I just wanted to let you know that truck number 125, has been the most polite driver always going the extra effort to watch for our kids, they get pretty excited to see his truck lol so to see him wave to them at times, which seems like a small thing, but goes a long way. He is always cleaning the garbage up that is over flowing the can he never leaves it a mess. We have a very congested parking lot and to see how skilled your drivers are dealing with it daily is quite impressive. We appreciate your services and professionalism keep up the good work.. My dad (HAG) and grandpa have worked at ACE for years. They also pick up my garbage at work and at home. ACE is a great company! We have never had a problem with our pickups, especially at my place of work. Would highly recommend.

ACE is loosing our business, we have a.6yd container and they decided to skip our pick up and not give us a courtesy phone call, we were paying more with them thinking the service was better. Is not the first time. They are great on making sure you are not late on your payment.

Note left on my can felt aggressive. Didnt know I was making things hard was just trying to keep the cans from falling onto the street . Didnt read anywhere that plastic bags couldnt be recycled. Company still believes in taking care of its customers which is really getting rare these days. Hands down the best company Ive ever worked for. I tried to give Ace a chance but they really don’t care about the customers. They can’t recycle anything so they force that problem on the customers so they can still try and squeeze more money away from people with a unless system. Then the way they handle the neighborhood dumpsters by bringing them for a day in the middle of the week and leaving trash around because they are to lazy to go the extra mile and help the community out by picking up the lose trash? Nope, it’s the customers problem. Even my work dumpster doesn’t even get dumped right. They pull the can out of a gated fence and leave it in the parking lot instead of putting in back like a good human. This stuff comes from top down, if the leaders don’t care then why should the employees? There is no such thing as customer service here. Can’t wait for the copy and paste reply like the one they give you on the phone. Or better yet can’t wait for Ace to go out of business and let someone else have the contract.

Ace Recycling is a good company! I get my pickup days mixed up sometimes and when I call them sometimes they will come out that week or I might have to wait which I dont mind because it was my fault. Love that I can get an extra recycle pickup along with my city pickup every other week. Thanks!

I have been there customer for three years. I am a small business owner single member LLC. Unfortunately, I have some health issues over the past couple of months and my staff was filling in as best they could. Admittedly, some thing slid through the cracks. I did not pay my garbage bill and instead of picking up the phone to call me and ask whats going on or take a payment over the phone they just stopped picking up the garbage during my busiest time of year. So for $155 they lost a customer. Go elsewhere if you want customer service!!

Absolutely a horrible company to work with long term. Loyalty means nothing to Ace Disposal. They are fine when you accommodate them when they screw up, but if there is even a glitch on something on the other end, they have zero flexibility. Been with them for almost 20 years, and I am done! This is a customer service world and when you dont take care of your customers, the whole world will know about it. Just moved in to Eagle Mountain (Silver Lakes neighborhood) and i’m convinced I have the nicest garbage man ever! Our trash had been picked up earlier today and was so full we’d been saving trash and had it half-full again right after they picked up. Anyway, a few hours later he was picking up the other side of my street right as I was dumping grass from mowing the lawn. He stopped his truck and came over and hauled our heavy trash to the other side to empty it so the grass wouldn’t sit in it all week, then brought it back! I told him thank you so much and that I so appreciated it, and he said, “Of course, that’s what we’re all about.” Talk about going above and beyond. Wish I’d gotten his name!

Called the city on my lunch hour because I saw that my recycling hadnt been picked up. They told me I had the wrong week, which is weird because I remember the recycling being emptied two weeks ago. Not to mention the whole street put out their bins as well. The city directed me to Ace. Ace said I also had the wrong week, but they would be happy to send someone by to empty it anyway. I was thrilled when I got home from work to find my bin empty and my neighbors bins looked to be emptied too. Thanks Ace!

We just moved into the eagle mountain area, and left one medium sized box that we couldnt fit into the garbage can next to the trash cans, both weeks the lazy drivers wouldnt throw it away. Never had that problem previously anywhere. Truck #453

I decided I need to leave a review. They are amazing if you forget to put you garbage out. They have helped us more than once!!

I tried to cancel my service with these jokers for weeks before moving from our home, over a year ago. They almost never answered the phone when I called (during business hours), and when I finally got a hold of them they said they had no record of my account, so there was nothing to cancel.I then asked them to come pick up their recycling can, which they never did. I left many messages about picking the can up, only for them to be completely ignored.Fast forward to now, I get mail from a collections agency for unpaid bills to these people for services provided to a house I didnt even live in.Strong work guys, thanks for screwing up my credit.

Had their service for nearly 4 months, my scheduled pickup was every to weeks. It was picked up a total of 3 times, one of them being when they came and removed my dumpster for not paying with no warning or anything. They came and picked up two other times, one scheduled, once when I called and complained about garbage that had been sitting for well over a month, they came immediately. Looking through the reviews, I can tell I am not the first. Luckily another company was more than happy to pick up where they left off. Also a 2% charge for paying online is ridiculous being that it is saving you guys money instead of sending out bills and the like. An absolute joke of a business.

2 reasons: Last week I forgot to put my trash out until after they collected it...argh! Ive never done that! I was so disappointed in myself and not looking forward to figuring out how to get all the upcoming weeks worth of garbage to fit in an already full can. Anyway, I got home from work and miraculously it had been emptied! Second reason is I use Ace Disposal at work and their service rep is always figuring out ways to help meet our needs. They always donate to good causes and bend over backwards to help us in a bind!!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Ace. Your driver who does the West Jordan route is awesome. We had some random car that parked too close to our garbage can at night. In the morning on trash day, your driver got out and moved the can away from the car so he could empty the trash. Im sure he could have left it and moved to the next house, so thank you for taking the time to empty our trash.

Currently driving behind one of their trucks... guy is all over the road and trash is coming out of the truck he’s blown his horn multiple times and doesn’t use he’s blinkers... just watched him cut someone off and “brake check” a small car...

I watch them come to my work twice a week and they do an amazing job! We have 5 bins and they have to get out of the truck each time they empty one and push it to the side so they can get to the next one. If any garbage spills they always pick it up and leave everything looking clean. Its a lot of work for just one person, but they always do a great job.

The recycling flyer on their website states they take paper when in fact they have not in over 5 months.

Didnt come on Saturday to pickup what they didnt on Friday here in Northpoint estates condominiums in the Avenues due to the Spring snowstorm. So lame. Understand why couldnt come Friday. They could have done their level ground pickups on Friday. I was able to get out and about on Friday even with the 9in snow made it back uphill 14 blocks...However Northpoint management committee is partially to blame. Obviously dont have an SLA with Ace that they have to pickup Saturday if Friday delayed. Additionally the onsite manager could have come around and at least picked up the extra trash in trashbags put them in the condo dumpster. There are many seniors here is difficult enough for them to get the trash out let alone 2 extra trips hauling it in and then back out again...However is typical for Northpoint owner management committee. The condo fee at $595 per month has to be one of the highest in the nation for not being a resort type complex. Is the committees fault for letting a prior onsite manager Brendan hand out no-bid contracts without oversight or objections. Used up all the capital reserves. Was fraud in my book...Am just a resident not an owner so have no say so. My Mom as an owner didnt delegate to me or my cousin who is an architect that lived here 2 years too.

Very disrespectful and rude and never pick up our trash they claim they cant get to it every week they have different excuses. Then when they do, they slam the dumpster and break the wheels countless times, making it hard to move. Worst ever I uploaded pictures to show you how there is nothing in the way and still our trash piles up. Not to mention all winter Im forced to push it out so they dont have to struggle. Otherwise they dont show up, and like u seen I cut my finger moving it one time but we are forced to go with them because of the small market. Sucks so bad.

I called in for a extra garbage can pick up and told the female dispcher I need a few hours before the truck comes to finish my work. She didnt tell The local dispcher so the truck came early not cool. The driver Shane truck 138. We moved into Midvale in April. So far you have not picked up our recyclables .... not once ..... not even 3 times ..... BUT 5 TIMES .....Ive called until Im BLUE in the face ..... youve made promises to pick it up ..... youve said that you will put us on a watch list ..... but to no avail ....Ive called you after hours and you hang up on me.Ive called the city, however they simply referme back to you.Its apparent that you folks dont care about your customers .... the people who pay your salaries.Any other place of business would at least give me a refund ... but because its contracted through the city .... there is literally .... nothing I can do.I know the game.You dont pick up all the cans but you still get paid as if you did...... and no one is the wiser.How do you folks even sleep at night knowing you are ripping people off??!

These guys dont take care of their employees like they should. My husband works for them and has been driving around in a hot truck with no ac, in the middle of July when it is 100 degrees out. He has told them everyday for the past week and it is still not fixed!! Maybe if he dies of heat stroke then they will listen.

They had a recycling semi on the freeway about an hour ago that had massive amounts of recycling debri flying out of the entire top of his trailer large pieces that could cover over half of an entire windshield! People were trying to pull by his window or honk and let him know but he ignored us all and just keep littering while driving down the freeway ubsructing many peoples view while trying to drive at 70 mph or faster! Very disrespectful driver in our area. Called my mother in law a lier shes 77 years old. The reason being having an Xfinity van in the way saying it was mine Ive never even worked for them. Another time before the home owner association was involved of moving vehicles cant prove it now but scratch my car while I was here. Also read about West Jordans city Xmas tree policy that the procure said it would pick up tree and its still out on my driveway. I think maybe this company is a good company but there needs to be communication and have there drivers have custom service. Not just a job.

They do not own up or take responsibility when one of their trucks causes damage to another vehicle. They dodge phone calls and are a very sleazy dishonest company to deal with.

We put recycle bin out at the same time as all the other neighbors, all the neighbors recycle bins get emptied but ours? Do you pick and choose whos bins you recycle? Why are we paying for a service, when weve learned that there are no guarantees youll deliver? Its sad to think that we have a 50/50 chance of having our bins emptied when we put them out super early in the morning, long before the garbage trucks come.

Cannot believe that they got a contract for West Valley City. They are the absolute worst to deal with and the staff in the office are extremely rude. If you can avoid them, do it!! Unfortunately, until WVC realizes their mistake we are stuck with them.

They didnt take our trash, when other companies will! Very disappointed with them!!!! WORST GARBAGE SERVICE!!!!!

This is the second time my garbage was not picked up. Fuming mad I will go higher up!!!!

Debris from their truck flew out the back and hit and dented my hood. When I called, they told me it was considered road debris and that they won’t do anything about it which is complete bs. Now my brand new car now has a dent, not my fault at all, and I have to pay to have it repaired! Take responsibility!
