Shipment of 700 lbs from Jerome Idaho to SLC. Takes over 7 days for delivery. Overpriced shipping should at least be close to on time. Over 30 minutes of hold time to talk to an agent to tell me the same thing i get for tracking.
I ordered a traeger grill package for father’s day for my husband. It came with multiple bags of pellets, spices, a grill cover, and the actual smoker grill. All parts of my order were sent separately and I got email notifications as all of them were shipped out and when they arrived. The grill was labeled as “in process” for about a month even though I had received all the rest of my order. Apparently, they send it to YRC and it then sat there for a week. Finally, I get a post card that said it was at YRC as of 6/24/21 and that storage fees would start 24 hours after it’s arrival. On the order tracking, it still said in process and I got no call or email verification that it had even been shipped out at all just a post card buried in circular ads....who communicates this way anymore? What year is it? I didn’t not get this post card until a week later (the day before I left town on vacation). I had to call three times and left three messages to get through to the one specific person that could help me (everyone I spoke with on the phone from their company was super short with me and refused to offer me any assistance because it wasn’t their job). When I finally got through, they said that someone would have to be there to sign for it, or they wouldn’t leave it. They told me that it would be delivered between 10-2, so I had to have my poor mom sit and wait at the house for the package, which didn’t arrival until nearly three. Terrible customer service. Terrible communication. If you have a choice (I did not) do not use this company.
I was specifically told single women drivers are frowned upon and that some drivers prefer not to ride with female drivers due to the apparent lack of reaction time. I never had a chance. Thanks Utah.
Absolutely awful! A week to get a pallet from RI to Utah. 2500 miles. Acceptable. A week to get a pallet from Salt Lake to Clearfield. 40 miles. PATHETIC! An hour on hold for them to tell me, thats the way it is.
Almost a month to get freight from IL to Las Vegas? Still no delivery of time sensitive freight.Freight transfer has been held up Salt Lake city for couple weeks. They cant seem to get they act together. Just excuses & more excuses why freight is delayed. 1 Star because there wasnt Zero Stars. Dont use YRC freight period. Theyre absolutly terrible & just dont care.
Management and most employees do not do thier jobs correctly or respect each other and have bad customer service.A very chaotic workplace. Really needs to have a Management and employee readjustment to treat fellow workers and customers better.
They got me taken care of very quickly and the people were friendly.
Scheduled a freight pickup. No driver ever showed up or called. Waited for a week and an attempt was never even made despite calling to ensure a pickup would happen.
Great place to work! Good people and improving equipment,! Things are looking up!
THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I WAS JUST HUNG UP ON BY CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!! I did not yell. I was not vulgar. I was not offensive. I was merely annoyed at having to spend 3+ hours trying to get my time sensitive item delivered. I have been tracking my item every day since it was shipped and have helplessly watched as it sat at the local dispatch (33 min from door to door) for 4 days. From the moment it was at local dispatch, I have called customer support every day and they told that though it be an item intended for work, because it is being delivered to a residential address, it has to be scheduled. Due to Covid, I am working from home and am available to receive it at any time convenient to YRC! Still, nothing and no call to schedule. I called Customer Support daily and was told they just spoke to the scheduler and that she would call me right back. I finally got through to her today after waiting 33 minutes for support to answer. She absolutely sees herself as the overworked victim in this. She was HORRIBLE to work with. SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! She complained that she doesnt work Mondays, but still has over 100 trucks to call and schedule... and that is why she didnt call me... I told her she never needed to call me. I did that part for her by calling in daily. All she had to do was answer my call. Now I am on hold again... at the moment I am at minute 22:42. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
They did not have our load ready when we got there. We left the trailer so they could load it which was no problem since we had to do our 10 hr sleeper berth. Showed up the next morning, picked up our trailer and had it scaled. The weight had a 12,ooo lb difference from drive to trailer axle. We slid tandems as much as possible to redistribute the weight and the load would not scale right. Took the load back and the guy at the linehaul desk was extremely rude to my co-driver (which was female) and tried to bully her into accepting the load as is!!. I went in and he seemed really embarrassed and all of the sudden became really easy to work with!!... they did take 2500 lbs off but never rearranged the shipment. Guess it is what it is
Best of the best.. Hands down.. And getting better bed wetter..
Worst freight company around. No customer service. Shipment was lost for a week and when they finally decided to deliver it they showed up 2 hours after we closed so we had to have someone drive back to the shop to get it unloaded because if we didnt who knows when they would have made it back to make the delivery. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
They have had a pallet at their facility in salt lake for a week and havent unloaded it from the truck yet so they can put it on delivery truck and deliver it.
Easy to deal with. Friendly people are always helpful.
DO NOT USE!!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. If your package is suppose to be delivered to a residential area you have to wait for them to call you!! That would be fine... IF THEY CALLED!! I tried to contact customer service and they connected me to the SLC facility to find out whats going on. UMMM... voice mail. Absolutely awful. Never Again
Dont use them. Was delayed an entire week, then attempted delivery of damaged goods and still charged me extra to get it off the truck.
Thieves!!! Anyone giving them more than one star rating probably works there, and were forced to write a positive review.
Not impressed with their love justix or anything they do
They scheduled a 4 hour delivery window in the middle of the day and were a no-show. Wouldn’t answer emails or return phone calls. Then a driver just randomly shows up one day. He didn’t have a bill of lading and refused to unbox the furniture for me to inspect before I signed. I have also called and emailed the company I ordered from to let them know what kind of company they are doing business with.
They do not deliver shipments in a timely matter. My shipment arrived in Salt Lake on a Monday. I called Tuesday and it was still sitting on a trailer waiting to be unloaded. The guy I spoke to on the phone said they will unload it and it getting moving for delivery on Wednesday. I waited around all day and the shipment never arrived. Thursday rolls around and I am still waiting for my shipment. Most freight companies have a quick turnaround from when they receive the shipment to when they deliver it. This company is in no hurry to get anything anywhere it seems. This has happened multiple times.
Excellent, fast and friendly.
After they received our shipment; we schedule for a delivery which was a few days out. I understand it gets busy etc. They wouldnt deliver it without us there (for a signature) so we took work off waiting for the delivery in the 4 hour window they gave us. It is now an hour after the time and I called to get an ETA. I understand weather and other issues could make them late. After talking with a representative, we just found out that the driver called in today and isnt coming at all. No phone call or any kind of communication. We are just sitting here waiting...
I gave YRC 5 Stars cuz I hope I get the job
Easy in and out
I would give this company an -10 if I could. Worst experience ever with a shipping company. Our shipment sat in their warehouse for over two weeks. We called multiple times and we still dont have the shipment. They over promised and under delivered. Dont waste your time or money dealing with this company.
Keep up the good work you guys are awsum, thank you guys for serving the world.
Ahhhhhhhhh. Well Ill let you rate it.
It took 9 business/13 days to deliver 2 pallets from UT to MO, one excuse after another. Then to add insult to injury one pallet was completely destroyed. I understand things can be busy but this is unacceptable. Good luck to those using them for future shipments.
After chick in 18 hour Waited to pick up
We paid for expedited shipping, not only was the item late they refused to compensate me for the additional cost to expedite the shipping.
I waited almost 30 hrs to get my load
Mike and Charlie at the SLC,UT YRC Freight were very unhelpful and unprofessional. Product not delivered on time.
The personnel are extremely rude. If i could give zero stars i would. Never going there again
For a union company who is seeking drivers, they sure seem to like to screw over the ones they have and run around others making those guaranteed runs once every week or two. They have freight that needs moved, yet not all drivers are being used. They treat their drivers just as badly as everyone else, in fact, they treat the union drivers worse. Dispatch loves to screw over drivers they don’t like and try to lie because the boss favors the non union workers over the people who make the freight move. I could go on, but I suggest checking out other places to work, especially where their contract is up in the air.
Holding up our shipment for 4 days in the yard. promised us for 2 days it would be there the next day . Maybe we be able to get sometime this week . By the way we are making product for covid 19 . Everyone is suffering because of yellow freight .
Package was shipped to be delivered five days ago and I still dont have it. Has been it for delivery the last three days and each time I am assured that it will be delivered that day and then told that they ran out of time and would guarantee delivery the next day. Customer service was great on the second day and tried to provide an ETA. Person I spoke to today was incredibly rude and said the others that actually tried to help were liars and that it wasnt their job. Home Depot needs to find a better freight company because at this point I refuse to buy anything online because it wont show up in time.
Moises was so helpful and happy! Went above and beyond to assist us especially when we didnt have the right equipment. He was the best driver/deliverer we have ever come across!!! 5 Stars for Moises
I usually have pleasant interactions with YRC however they recently lost a pallet I shipped with them and their process of finding it couldnt be more of a joke. on top of that it is next to impossible to get a hold of someone who is in charge. I do not see my self shipping with YRC anytime in the near future if at all.
Yrc holding up covid 19 critical supplies for the medical industries. Shippment has been sitting at the local terminal for 2 days while hospitals are running out of supplies. Unacceptable.
Tracking info indicated the freight was in a trailer at the terminal in the morning. Called at 8 AM indicating I would be ready to pick-up the freight at 3PM that day. When arrived, the freight was ready and greeted by very friendly office staff and forklift driver. Load was placed in my trailer, and we were on our way in no time. Great job with customer service!
Sent a crate “GUARANTEED DELIVERY BY 5pm” for Wednesday the 28th. I then receive an email saying the freight has been delayed and won’t be delivered until Thursday. When I track the pro number on Thursday it then says it won’t be delivered until Friday. My customer is in a panic so I call customer service and find out the freight is at the dock in San Diego which is 20 minutes away from my customer. I ask them if I can schedule a separate courier ( which I have to pay $375 ) to come pick up the freight and then deliver it to my customer that evening.I’m told there was no one there at 5:30 to unload the trailer and pull my crate off of the truck. They apparently are so shorthanded they don’t have a single person they can get on the forklift unload a crate so I can get it delivered to my customer on time. If you want to bunch of people telling you “sorry we can’t do that” then call these guys. Maybe the worst part is that I paid extra to have it delivered guaranteed by Wednesday. They tell me they cannot refund that money because they are in a freeze from refunding late shipments. So I get to pay extra to have something delivered two days late and I have no recourse. Absolute worst freight shipment I’ve ever had to deal with in my 20 years.
Who is running this place? They have scheduled FIVE delivery times with me and missed them all. Am I being punkd?
You need to have a lot of patience when dealing with this company. My engine arrive monday 9/7 and until now Im waiting for the engine to be delivered 9/10.
Super simple!
Holding up Covid 19 hospital medical supplies for 4 days,t hen when we final got it, they had left it in a trailer in the sun and contaminated the product. Now we are having to make a claim and waiting for another shipment.
Old as Time, but has Potential. If Management switches their outlook away from Shareholders and toward Employees the Potential gains could be Extraordinary. Stop hidding behind past practice and the Union and the company has the ability to flourish. It will be interesting to see Managements choices on the coming year. Heres hoping.
Avoid shipping with them at all costs, especially if youre trying to ship something to Amazon. Been over a month and still can get multiple pallets delivered. Sat on hold on the phone and chat for at least 4-5 hours now cumulatively with no resolution. Been told twice now that itll be delivered within the next couple days.
Agreat place to work.good money.and a great way to ship your merchandise.
The only reason they get one star is because 0 isnt an option. We usually get anywhere from 3-6 pallets on a typical shipment, and they are ALWAYS late. We can track the shipment online and can see that the shipment is in SLC and loaded on a trailer for delivery, but its not out for delivery. When we call to find out when it will be delivered, they tell us they dont know what day, but that they are really busy. We are going to pick up the shipment from their dock because we cant wait for them to get around to delivering it.
Consistently late. Inconsiderate, ride staff. You can tell by the number of 1 star reviews that they apparently could care less about their customers.
The salt lake office is great Curtis the driver rocks. as far as the rest of the company on the east and west coast, are not good, they do not pay attention, I get damage shipping. They schedule our customer and dont show up . they did that 3 times . It also happened to another customer at the same time . I have been dealing with them for 3 years the later part of 2016 they went down hill in everything . I have stopped shipping with them.
Terrible is too nice. They completely damaged my shipment. It showed up without the pallet!!! Refused my claim, because the damage wasn’t noted on form and they were not notified within 5 days. Which wouldn’t matter anyway because they basically do not insure packages for damage. $2.00 per package as per their terms. I suggest you look elsewhere for freight services. I would rather pull my teeth out than speak to their drone Rob Martin again.
I wish that I could give them a better review. In the past they were very helpful, however, this last time will be my last time using YRC. I got a phone call from the broker 2 weeks after going to the terminal and picking up my shipment, stating that if I do not go to retrieve my shipment that I will be charged storage fees. Upon digging deeper, they had lost my signed BOL, and were still trying to extort money from me. I had to scan my copy of the BOL, and take photographs showing the item in my shop. This was not my responsibility. After that, they decided that the shippers weight (which was done on a verified scale, with a then added 25 pounds to just to be safe) was inaccurate, and they wanted to round up to 700 pounds even, resulting in an additional fee. I lost at least 8 hours of my time trying to deal with all this, not something that anyone, especially a small business owner wants to do. If I wanted that hassle I would have driven to Illinois myself to get the shipment. If you go with them, I hope you have a better experience.
Paid extra money to get my product on a certain day I received a 24-hour notice that my product would be here today June 14th I took off work and have been waiting since 9 oclock to receive my package finally 1 oclock comes around the deadline for my product to make it and still my package has not made it. It or received a call telling me my product wouldnt make it I gave them a call and they said my package did not make it on the truck and this isnt the first time that YRC has messed up my order after calling and giving me 24 hour notice that my package would be here my question is what is the point of the 24-hour notice if you dont even load it on the truck this company sucks I would recommend using a different online seller if they use YRC
Worst experience ever! Ten days late on pick up. Now lost in the delivery terminal for 3 days and the only action they are willing to take is to email the terminal and call me back when they get an answer. Wont let me pick up at the terminal which is only two miles away from my location. Constantly get disconnected when put on hold. I dont know why the company I bought from uses these incompetents. If my customers order wasnt picked up the day I scheduled I would look for another shipper. They arent even cheap, or if they are, the company I bought from marks them up significantly.
An awesome freight delivery company.
Dont expect them to show up on time, if they show up at all. I had delivery scheduled for yesterday from 8am till noon. They no showed me and called in the afternoon to reschedule. We rescheduled for today from 11am till 2pm. They no showed again. I logged in to track the shipment and it says it was delivered yesterday. Gal on the phone for support was nice, but not able to reach him anyone who could help. Disorganized company needs some management help.
They said we were supposed to get a shipment of c-void 19 supplies three days ago now and they are saying we will get it sometime
They. Held up Covid19 supplies for 5 days
Great customer service and hard working team.of guys working to make sure your shipment is delivered in tip top shape.
Very good & fast service
6 missed delivered in 6 business days. These guys are ridiculous.Ive spoken to several supervisors with broken promises every time.Just give me a realistic date for it to be delivered and follow through.
Very safe place and a good place to work
The only reason its a 1 star is because 0 isnt an option, 99% of our loads that we get from YRC is damaged! Either is partially damaged or 100% damaged! Thee worst trucking company I have ever dealt with for my job. Plus they charge you $12.00 bucks a phone call saying you have a delivery coming in and I never get a phone call! I manage receiving and no one in the company I work for gets any kind of notice YRC is dropping off a shipment. So we get bills for phone calls they never sent, the whole company is a Scam!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!! The only reasons why our vendors use them is because their cost are cheap thats it, cheap cost cheap service.
I would give them 0 stars if I could. HORRIBLE freight company. They lose freight, and quite honestly dont have a clue. This company is worse than Roadrunner and Roadrunner is at the bottom of the freight barrel.
We wish we can give a ZERO star which stands for DO NOT USE. Stay away from YRC. 3 days after our shipment picked up, the product was still sitting in their CA terminal. They told us some paperwork were missing. We then did everything as YRC instructed to have them ship out the product that Friday night so that we could go pick up the product in SLC the following Monday. Monday came along, and they did NOTHING over the weekend, the product was still sitting in their CA terminal on Monday morning. We made calls to YRC and trying to see what they could do to help. Talked to their manager Harry. He was saying that it was not their fault, and if we wanted the shipment the next day, he would need to charge us additional $1000 to put the product on a special equipment. We told him YRC dropped the ball. And he said they were nice not to charge us for storage. Are You Kidding Me? They made us pay additional couple hundred dollar to have YRC guarantee to have the product in their SLC terminal by Wednesday 12pm so that we could go pick up the product ourselves. YRC was not willing to do anything and if we did not agree to pay the additional and go pick up, the product would just come whenever they could deliver it. This whole thing is a scam. YRC is a scam. Poor customer service. Poor management.
Constantly late on shipments. Over and over and over again. Wouldnt advise using them. We have no control over who our vendors send our products with or we would have moved on long ago.Update: Theyre still terrible! Currently waiting on a shipment that was supposed to be delivered 10 days ago! 10 Days! There are clearly lots of fake reviews on here attempting to pull their average up. My guess is it should be an average of about 1.5 stars by now.
We ship with them daily and they are always on time, fast, and have not damaged any shipments.
Are very good at what they do
I had an awful experience with this company. One of thier drivers neglected to clean of thier load and a large piece of snow/ice flew off and hit my truck. It broke my window and mirror. I called the manager and he never bothered calling me back.
Love YRC freight service. Especially the sales rep. responds!!!
Absolutely pathetic. My shipment arrived in town on 8/19. Today is 8/24 and it still hasnt been delivered. Their employees make it clear that they dont care. Very slow to deliver and non-existent customer service. Never again. Use anybody but YRC.
Garbage hole in the wall
Est. delivery date was August 28th. Didnt show until October 4th. On October 2nd the tracking number said it was out for delivery, tooling never showed. Called on October 3rd and they said it would be delivered that day and the truck driver ran out of time on the 2nd. Never showed on the 3rd, they said the reason was because the trailer was never sent out. Finally got it to us on the 4th after costing operations a week of down time and a lot of money lost! Very disappointed with YRC and will advise the company I work for to never use them again.
YRC consistently delays product at the SLC hub. Its frustrating when the shipment makes it across the country faster than it takes the SLC hub to unload and deliver the product locally. They are maliciously disorganized.
YRC puts many Americans to work - 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for their efforts.
I used the weight quote tool on YRC’s website to come up with a shipping estimate of ~$300 to ship a single pallet. The driver that came to pick-up the pallet did not have a bill of lading for me to fill out (he rummaged around in his truck for at least 10 minutes) so he took my address, the address of the recipient, my reference number and said he’d fill one out when he got to the terminal. As a result, most of the info on what the package was, value, rate, dimensions, density were not correct. A representative from the terminal eventually got a hold of me with a shipping estimate of $947.16 to ship a 375lbs pallet from SLC, UT to Ringgold, GA (receiver agreed to a terminal pick-up to reduce cost). At this point the pallet was already en-route and I had no means of getting it back or negotiating a rate closer to the estimate. The final cost was brought down to $812 after many phone calls to establish what the NMFC was for the pallet.I do not understand the reason for the huge difference between the estimated cost and what they charged me. The representative at the terminal kept insisting that the error was on my part because I “failed to lock in the rate” I saw on the online estimate tool. Maybe so, but the difference between $300 and $812 is considerable and leads a new customer like myself to believe this is either a dishonest company or a company incapable of assessing shipping costs.I am a first and last time customer for YRC Freight. The hours I had invested in selling a product, packing it, arranging shipment, and finally arguing with the company have all been wasted. I estimate that this transaction cost me $600; if my review diverts your business elsewhere I would love to know. How this company has been around for this long and attracts new customers is a mystery. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and not deserving of my (or your) business.
Nice yard with friendly staff.
Complete and utter incompetence. An Amish horse and buggy would have delivered my shipment faster. I imagine a warehouse full of people running around in circles and the Benny Hill theme song playing in the background. Its not just that they dont care, but they seem to sadistically revel in the frustration and agony of others. It makes me sad to think that anyone else will have to deal with them.
The SLC hub is the absolute worst. Checking the PRO number on my shipment it has been delayed in the SLC terminal for 4 working days now. I keep getting told my delivery will be the next day, but alas they fall through time and time again. I would avoid this LTL company at all costs. especially if you have time sensitive products.
Always a pleasure doing business with these folks. Fast and courteous.
Shipping line hauls at YRC in salt lake are really bad. They dont care. They are stupid dont know how to load the trailer. They are late on everything. They are rude. I dont know how they still in business.
Great staff, receiving dept warehouse staff very efficient, fast, courteous.
Because I work there city P&D driver
Never heard so many reasons for non delivery of a shipment that was shown on the tracking website as being in SLC on Friday Aug 5th and still on Aug 10th still not delivered at 2:45. Never using them again!
This company sucks. My shipment was suppose to be delivered 10-29-2014. My shipment is still sitting on the dock as of 11-3-2014. Not even loaded on the truck yet!!! I cant go and pick up the shipment from the dock either. When the hell are you guys going to deliver my stuff??????????????
Very rude management and lazy unionized staff. New hires struggle to make production with hardly any support from coworkers, and then fired on their 30 day mark.
After reading the reviews I thought well its just some people who have had a bad experience. But seriously I will never do business with them again. They are extremely slow and they messed up my delivery location and I had to pay $50 to change it! Even though I just wanted to pick it up will call at their location. Next time use a more reputable company and save the hassle.
Recorded telephone menu options way to fast, hard to follow in order to make a choice.
Shipment was guaranteed delivery by 28th and additional payment was made. Was still not delivered by the 3rd of the next month.
We receive a good deal of freight from YRC, most of it damaged, we have repeatedly asked the shipper not to use them.
Shipment was a week late. YRC must hire all the idiots no one else will hire. Do not use YRC and Do not do business with companies that use YRC for shipping. you will not get your goods on time. Wake up YRC. Your company sucks.
Freight Truck Company Ltl . . .
Great place
Good people
Absolutely horrendous. Almost all of the shipments I have received from these guys has been constantly damaged! Their forklift operators are complete and utter morons who should have been fired a long time ago. Dont use this company.
Lost my shipment in their warehouse. Cant find it for 3 days...
