Let me tell you, whatever youre paying Ralph it isnt enough. I have been tackling an Onan generator rebuild for the last couple months and Ralph has gone above and BEYOND the call of duty. At one point during this project when a part was obsoleted(no longer exists), he was calling around to other generator shops asking if they had any scrap cases I could come salvage. His knowledge was an immense help/ease tackling this project. Definitely go to Ralph for any of your Cummins parts needs!
I really appreciate these guys taking the time to squeeze me in, as everywhere is booked out for weeks! The drivers lounge was a lovely place for a nap while I waited.Fast, friendly service. Thank you, Matt, Sid, and Lacey!!!
I had a worst experience with this place. I spent 3 weeks to wait for getting my fuel pump fixed. Alex, one of front desk guy kept on lying on me. He kept on saying the part was ordered from Quebec in Canada but no proof. Then the part is at the border waiting to clear from customs but proof. Then the part will be here in couple days but another lie. Finally he said we ordered the part and I asked the proof. He refused but I insisted and they gave a order form from Chicago Illinois. So everything he was saying about Quebec was a lie. Before you get your truck there ask.them if they have the part and how long the service will be otherwise you will be stuck like me.
First time bringing our Peterbilt into a Cummins shop and it definitely will not be our last. All of the people at the counter are knowledgeable and helpful as were the technicians. They were able to quickly diagnose our problem and get us in and out!
I went into the parts department at Cummins, I was in over my head and locked a lot of information. I was helped by a man named Ralph, the guy was able to figure out things that I would have never been able to. He slowed things down and explained them to where I could understand my dilemmas. Thanks for your help Ralph
There is no way to communicate with them. How they make a living is news to me. I would post no stars if the system would let me.
Amazing service and they saved me money compared to online shopping
Awful experience! The worst customer service!
Had a great experience this time getting generator tune up parts. Last experience wasnt very good at all. Couldnt repair my generator for my old motor home and wanted to charge me a completely ridiculous amount of $8000 to put a new one in. Said it would take 17 hours to do the work and I found out its more like 2hrs. I told them to leave it alone and I would take the motor home back to right side up and I traded it for my new motor home which I love
I honestly almost always have a good experience here and almost always have for years. Although, I recently called and reached a woman (Kristina) who although wasn’t incompetent, she was extremely loud and unprofessional. I think I even heard her cell phone in the background. She may be good but should have absolutely no interaction with the customer base and/or any type of organization.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I would give 0 stars if possible. I rarely write reviews unless my experience is very good or extremely poor, and unfortunately this experience was as bad as it gets. This is a very poorly run shop with unprofessional employees working the service counter as well as incompetent technicians working in the shop. There are SO many better options for RV repair work, there is no reason to put yourself through the agony of dealing with Cummins.I brought in my RV to have the fuel lines replaced as they were leaking due to age. After the fuel lines were replaced I went to pick up my RV, only to find that my air suspension wasnt working, and they had moved my RV anyway and broke off my fender flare. They refused to own up to breaking the fender flare, and even after my wife and I took time off work to pick it up they failed to mention that it was undriveable. They also stained the white carpet inside of the RV badly as they didnt cover it when working inside the coach. When all of this was brought up to David Smith at the service counter he was very rude and unhelpful. I called another shop to come to Cummins to fix the air suspension issue, which they did very promptly. Again, I went to pick up my RV to find that the ignition wasnt working and wouldnt crank over the engine. Cummins said they would diagnose the issue, and after charging me $1,850.00 in labor they said they diagnosed the issue to be a bad circuit board. They said they bypassed the circuit board to be able to start the engine, but that a new circuit board would be needed and that they are no longer available. When we arrived at Cummins to finally be able to take the RV home, we noticed they had then covered the carpet with plastic wrap, even though they had already stained it previously. After arriving at my home with the RV, I wanted to verify their diagnoses of the blown circuit board before planning a course of action to repair the issue. Within 10 minutes I diagnosed the issue to be a BLOWN FUSE!! The fuse looked fine to the naked eye, but when testing with a meter was found to be the cause of the issue. I replaced the blown fuse, removed the bypass that Cummins had put in place, and everything works just like it should. I was furious to be charged $1,850.00 in labor for them to not even properly diagnose the issue, especially on something that should have taken their tech less than 5 mins for them to diagnose. I emailed Jon Borba (service supervisor) to notify him I wasnt happy, and that I wanted a refund for their labor which should have never been billed. Jon refused to even respond to my email until I emailed the Cummins corporate office, and even then refused to do anything to make things right.I have now spent $17k at Cummins in the past year, and they still refuse to make things right. Every single experience has been very poor. I have dealt with a few different shops working on my RV, and they have all been a great experience that I have left positive reviews for. Cummins is very expensive for sub-par service.David Smith that works at the service desk is very unprofessional and unhelpful, and has no business working with customers.
I had an issue with my home generator. Thomas Briggs, Denise Lorenzo, and the others were great. I dont hesitate to recommend them.
Devo the parts technician is the best. Very knowledgeable. Was able to tell me what the part is by looking at a bad picture I took. He did research and found a part in another state and got it shipped out ASAP. Thanks for the help.
In my opinion, it’s Not a good place to go to for motorhome work. I thought the cost to service the generator was excessive but I was glad to get it done. Then when I questioned whether it was working right because it wouldn’t run the ac, I took it back and asked them about it. They told me that they would run a load test and let me know what they find and we would go from there. The test showed that the generator was working fine, so the problem was with my ac. Still they charged me the minimum shop time. It’s like they’re saying “DON’T COME BACK!” It’s costing me more than a weeks wage for the follow up check. They said it was a different issue. I’m Not happy.
Wasted 2 hrs time but could not determine what the problem was with my generator $220 charge for inspection
Called these guys to order an engine manual. We gave them the serial number and the model number and they ordered the wrong manual. My coworker opened the manual and ordered a special tool from it for $450.00 and when we tried to return the manual and the wrong tool they wouldnt accept the items because they were opened. I will try at all cost to never do business with rocky mountain cummins again. They accused us using the manuals and the tool and then trying return them. What a disappointment and insulting experience. Ill pay more and wait longer to go around them next time.
Very professional group of people. Got my truck in and out in a very reasonable time. Will definitely come back for any other services when in the area.
Very good
Not very quick
Very friendly oh, quick unload.
Just want to shout out to Chris the service writer. THANK YOU A TON FOR TAKING A LITTLE TIME AND EXPLAINING!!!!!
Had a problem with my RV 1400 miles from home and these guys stepped up and saved the day! I can not thank these guys enough for going above and beyond to get me safely back on the road.
These folks are the best at what they do. Very clean shop and office area. I inspected the fire extinguishers there. So I guess you can say I was able to see all the location. Very professional!
Horrible experience. Ended up having to buy my parts through the Onan dealer in Washington. Cummins needs to pose as customers to see how this shop is run and how they treat customers.
This place was awesome. Our bus was first taken to another facility after breaking down only to be told it was a broken crack shaft. We had it towed to Rocky Mountain Cummins and quickly found out the truth. Flex plate failure. They fixed it fast! Great place that we would recommend to anyone!
My experience was with the parts department. Ralph was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure I had all the gaskets and extra parts and pieces that I was unaware I needed. Thanks for the great experience. My motorhome is up and running again!
Honestly my dog is better trained than the techs that work here. It is worth the money to literally go ANYWHERE ELSE. Thank me later
Trash! Avoid at all cost. I made the mistake of coming here and I dont wish my experience on anyone. If you want 2 months in down time to swap a engine. This is your place. The engine took 4 days to arrive by the way. I can not say it enough. TRASH TRASH TRASH. They will lie lie lie as much as it takes to cover up their mistakes and lack of work. So send me your generic message to email customer service. Just showing again your to lazy to read the comments and fix your staff, so that a case like mine never happens again.
They know what to do. There are good number of motor homes that get oil changes and chase lubes. This facility is doing more, like checking out air filters. Air brakes.
They went over the computer on my 2016 Cascadia freightliner with 15 liter Cummings engine. With a fine tooth comb. They got it running real real good. Jakes automatic down the hills cruise control controls the speed exact automatically. No need to hit the brakes or the gas anymore. So nice. For an incredibly low price! Thank you very much! I love this place.
I took them a nice running bus. They replaced a flywheel at my request. They managed to mess up the job. They tried hard and were nice, but in the end I paid over 6K and the bus wont run properly!! I think they are nice people, but they cost me a fortune and I have a bus that is not road worthy yet!
All the parts you need, none that you dont
Technicians were excellent. Administration office needs serious management as well as anger management. We made an apt to get exhaust manifold replaced and generator serviced. All went well til they decided they didnt have the part after all and had to order out. They were gonna TOW our motorhome out of the bay for us to stay in overnight and were not going to assume responsibility for possible damage. After our protest, they put us up overnight at a decent motel. When we paid our bill, they had no record of our Cummins Power Club membership and would not give us 10% discount...also tried to charge us $30 special delivery charge for a part they said thy had. Clerk got so mad he signed off his computer and left the room. Management takes 4 hour lunches and goes home at 3pm...whole experience was frustrating to say least. Once we were able to speak with management, they were understanding and helpful.
I went into this place asking about Onan generator parts. I needed a carb.kit for an old model if possible I asked. I didnt have much information about my generator because serial numbers had faded. The guys there told me where to look to find information that they needed to help me with parts. I found a few numbers and they pin pointed the part numbers for me and they were a great help and very knowledgeable. I thank you for your help. Both in store and on the phone.
Charged me $200 for absolutely nothing. They didnt even get me a diagnostic. The shop I went to found the problem in less than 15 minutes, and then fixed it quickly. These guys are to be avoided for onan generator service. Find anywhere else to go. Even if you have to drive an hour out if your way.
Great people.
We dropped in for engine work while travelling. I didnt feel good about the place based on the reviews, but options were limited and I hoped that they were addressing their issues. Our problem was diagnosed quickly, broken exhaust manifold bolt and maybe a warped manifold. The estimate for the repair was high (just under $2,500) and included hundreds of dollars of miscellaneous charges. I asked them to replace the belt tensioner as well, which did not change the estimate because, I was told, there was plenty of fat in the estimate which was merely an authorization level. While waiting for service I got a verbal estimate from them for labor to replace my radiator for 40 labor hours. When I asked why they needed 40 hours when my home shop quoted 15-16, they responded that their estimates were puffed up and not to worry about them. I should have driven off right then.We checked out and paid $2,325 at the end of the day the work was done. I felt that this was high based on their assurances and because I had also done the work necessary to access the engine from the bedroom and later finished buttoning it up (work that had been included in the estimate). I was told that two technicians worked a total of 16 hours on the job which included two sheared manifold bolts, but I was only being charged for 10 or so hours. Gee, sounds great. When I took the time to review and analyze the invoice I noticed that I had been charged for $35 of bolts that had not been replaced, plus more than $250 in various supplies and fees. I then did the math and realized that my RV had been in their shop less than 7 hours, including lunch. I think the invoice is fantasy, just the estimate tweaked to come in a little less (expectations management 101) and prop up someones performance metrics. I am not confident that the exhaust manifold actually needed to be replaced, or that the new parts I cannot see were actually replaced. I feel gouged and I am done with Cummins.Oh yeah, they steam cleaned my engine for free, including the 11 year old sensor wiring. I guess the technicians needed to prop up their chargeable hours stats too. I hope to get my engine monitoring system back to working soon.
Great 👍👌👍👌👍
Super slow.. Called on Wed to schedule appt was told that its fcfs, went in on Fri same week, left truck with problem of exhaust manifold leak. Was told truck will be taken to service on Mon, takes 12 hours of labor, Tuesday should be ready to roll. Today is Thu 15:25 truck is not done still and no ETA on when it will be done! Very unprofessional! Try to avoid this location if possible or expect a HUGE delay from what they tell you.
Had exactly what I wanted at. Good price.
Did a great job on inframe but had my wedding ring in the truck and never to be found just cant trust on people no more dishonest!!
Training was awesome. Although I still believe the 7.3l Powerstroke will be the last engine running on this planet.
Very friendly and helpful staff, my generator runs great
They for sure know what they are doing and great people work there too.
Ok I read all the reviews and I dont want to do business with these guys now.. Everyone seemed to find someone else that just fixed their problem after getting the run around from Cummins. Who do you all recommend for Onan generators??
Truck is in the shop for regen problem and they estimated $5200 for the doc filter replacement. People are nice but the prices are outrageous.
If I could give negative stars I would. Incompetent service and poor customer service and ended up with more problems than we came in with.
My experince at this cummmins was great, the tech Mr David was very professional with his service.
The people here took such good care of me I would definitely be back
30,000 for a new Motor and I had to take it back for a injector leak and they charged me 900.00 to fix.Today my stop engine light came on...Bone dry on coolant. Horrible Service! Stay Away. Truck has to be towed back in 2 times since a new motor was installed in less than a week. Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!!!
Excellent customer service - Devo was fantastic - thank you Devo for keeping the House Party running strong.
Great service fast turnaround times and this shop stands by its repairs
Parts for work. Cummins parts of you need em. open till 6
Had a problem with our rv generator. Was told by everyone a two week wait. We are on vacation. Cummins said they would try to look at it right away. They did and got it repaired that day
BEST SERVICE.HANDS DOWN BEST ENGINE ON THE MARKET IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE You HAVENT Tried ONE.
Awesome place to do business, they do A great job on repairs.
Great place, good work, reliable people.
We were traveling through Utah in our Motorhome, at the beginning of a months long vacation, when our generator started having problems. Since we had a refrigerator full of food, and animals traveling with us, this could have been a huge problem for us.We called Rocky Mountain Cummins for an appointment, 8 days out!We explained our situation and they very graciously agreed to have us come in the very next day at 7 AM, and they would work us in. We were there at 7 and met with Shanny, Sevice Advisor. Shanny is a great service professional, and got us checked in promptly. Her great attitude and disposition were very welcoming.Right after she finished the paperwork and inspection, the service tech, also friendly and professional, took our rig right in.A couple of hours later I got a call from David Munk, who explained what was found, what they did, and what I could expect from the generator going forward. Another service excellence encounter! We were in and out and back on the road in less than 3 hours! With no appointment. We cannot express our gratitude enough.
Poor service and even worse pricing. Stay away.
If your life is going too smooth and you want your motor home to get wrongly diagnosed, beat up and overcharged all while being treated with rude service.....THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!
They were very helpful, nice people in the service department
Stay away from this shop charge me $400to diagnose the problem that I already knew and then they couldn’t fix it for three more daysI had explained to Chris at the counter at $400 to diagnose the problem and that nothing Had been done to the truck was a little extreme he said how else do you expect us to pay for a shop well I won’t be back I normally don’t leave reviews but this really ticked me offscrewed me out of $400 nothing was done I’ve been in the trucking field for 27 years own truck for 19 years very disappointed with Cummins of Salt Lake I will never ever come back
I came to this place with a check engine light on they wants to charge me 8000 to fix it i drove back to my town and paid 313 problem fixed :) also there like dont risk it it will derate
