Christensens Point S Tire has always provided me with great service and tires that perform well above their prices. They have always guided me to the best tires for my needs. They are great people. I highly recommend them.

My experience with this shop was very frustrating. We asked them to fix an ABS warning and a check engine light. They talked me into an oil change and an AC service as well.They had the car for several days. They claimed to have fixed the engine problem, but needed more time ($95 per hour) to figure out what was wrong with the ABS. A couple of days later when I checked, they had not done anything more.I asked for the car back, but they had not changed the oil yet, so they needed it for another day. By the time I got it back, the bill was about $1200, and the ABS light was still on. They assured me that it was absolutely safe to drive.Little did I know...Two days later, traveling out of town with the family, the check engine light came on at the same time as the dash cluster quit. On the freeway. It was pretty stressful, but at least we were able to get to a safe place to stop.I stuck my head under the car; I dont know what I expected to see. I was shocked to find that the cables for the abs sensor was unplugged and hanging loose in two separate sections.Not trusting this shop, I spent an afternoon online and at the junkyard. $50 later the check engine light was off and the car ran smoothly.When I called the shop to discuss my concerns, the service rep could not stop telling me that I should have known that this would happen. When I mentioned the unplugged cables, he hemmed and hawed and skirted the issue.In the end, he asked me to bring the car back into the shop so that they could work on it more. For $95 per hour plus parts.Ill not be going back.

My fiance went there earlier this week to change tires, and it was fine, so we recommended them to his brother for his new Tacoma. We wont be recommending them again, because they created such a bad experience for his brother.They mounted the tires the wrong way, and then charged more to flip them the direction that he had asked for. They also scratched the wheel on his new truck, which is disappointing. I just think its unfair to charge another 40 to flip the tires (they were planning on charging full price, but since it was their fault they were splitting the cost for their mistake?).. they quasi tried to charge a tire recycling fee, when he was taking the other tires home..overall, wouldnt recommend again. Discount tire is right up the road, and they have fair prices and Ive never had an issue there.**Update**He also stayed as the work was done, so their excuse that they didnt have a good contact number is false. I asked him if he wanted me to pick him up so he didnt have to wait, and since it wouldnt be long, he just waited. They just mounted them wrong and scratched up his wheels. Again, just go to Discount Tires on 5600 -- they do a great job and are always very nice.His brother has also had the same number for many many years, so I can assure you hr provided a good contact number. Its interesting thats the reply, as they have no way of knowing whose vehicle they worked on, as it isnt in any way linked to my Google account. Seems to just be excuses and looking at their other reviews, it seems to be what they do best...

Brad, his brother Neil and their crew are like a family at least that’s the kind of environment this shop breeds... I recently had a set of tires, a lube service and one of the HID headlamps replaced.. You know, the kind where half the car comes apart to get to it ...I watched his tech treat my car that way I would treat it myself and that comfort is invaluable. They are always super fair and I just wanted to take a second and thank them for another job well done...thanks guys Doug...

And at the very end they will charge you to use a credit card. No other tire shop that Ive been to does that. Everything they do is overpriced. Shop around and read reviews! Went in for a simple alignment. Was called and explained that more parts were needed, I am mechanically inclined. I recommended to try to do the best which they were fully able to bring the alignment within spec. I was charged an extra $50 for them doing adjusting the camber which they could not explain why it costs more when it is part of a full alignment.As a business, it’s better to keep a customer instead of up-selling to never do business again.

Scott went Above and beyond. Usually, some mechanic will try to rip you off but Scott didn’t even charge me a thing he helped me with my car alarm. He was friendly and. Straight forward. And for that, hes my new mechanic. I Highly recommend for Scott when you come in. The man is very honest and funny, he makes you feel better about your problems. Amazing service! First of all, Neil will work with you one on one with any of the issues youve got going on with you car. Pretty quick services as well! I got tie rods replaced, an alignment, and my front axle fixed in maybe 5 hours. They also helped me with the cost, sure it cost a pretty penny to get all of that fixed, but they helped me with what I could spend... not to mention their alignments are fairly priced. Ill be recommending them to everyone I know, who doesnt like to support local business!

In and out, got my tire replaced and was out within 20 minutes.

This place is great! I brought my car in for an AC check up. They determined that since I added my own recharge kit with leak stop they couldnt do an official diagnostic on it, but they came out to my car and gave it a quick trouble shoot which allowed me to fix the problem myself. They did this all just in the name of good customer care and didnt charge me a penny.Will definitely go back when I have more work to give them.

Took my car to Christensens for the first time today for an oil change. Was told that whoever changed the oil before had over-tightened the oil pans drain bolt to the point of being unable to remove/stripped. They showed me the outside of the bolt and it did look a little scratched like it had been messed with. They provided me with a quote to replace the whole pan, which was over $300.I decided to return to the people who changed my oil last time (Grease Monkey at either the South Jordan or Pleasant Grove locations who have great reviews and seem totally honest every time I go there) to recover the money to fix the issue. They were able to remove the bolt with no problem and even replaced the oil pan plug for free.I dont know a lot about cars and I think that shows in speaking with me. The Christensens guys were friendly, quick to look at my car, quick to attempt the oil change; but they were also quick to suggest a pricey repair. Not sure why their suggestion was a 300 dollar repair or why the other place was able to fix the problem so easily... Maybe they didnt have the right tool to remove the plug or something, maybe they were just being cautious. Folks who are still reading this - just be careful when having shops look at your car. Dont just pay up for repairs without a second opinion.

Tried selling us parts we didnt need. my wife and I moved into a new area and thought this would be our new shop. the oil changes seemed to always cost more but i didnt get upset until; one of the two owners told my wife she needed a new catalytic converter. before labor it would be $800 the same cat i found for $475 on rock auto. i found it strange that I needed a cat after this EXACT same shop passed emissions on the EXACT same vehicle less than 2 weeks earlier. so i asked them over the phone how that was possible. I also asked if it was possibly the o2 sensors. all the guy (one of the owners) said to me was you just need a new cat so i told him no took it to another shop who identified the problem creating the check engine light to come on. the sensor was tripped due to the change in weather. the cat itself was fine. the code was cleared and after months and months never came back on. where i come from we called that a lie.

Brought my car in for an alignment and the steering wheel wasnt even straight when I picked up my car. That is a sure sign of a terrible technician who doesnt pay attention or take the appropriate time with a vehicle. Their rates arent any lower than anyone else, and their service is terrible. Stay away.Edit: Wow, Im not sure I can do more to prove my point that their response does, but the steering wheel while driving straight is only affected by the toe. The camber is slightly negative, but well within standards for a race car. Apparently they are claiming that race cars cant be set to track straight. My car has the stock springs and hasnt been raised or lowered or had any geometry changed.Also, I brought the car back and got them to set it so it at least tracks straight. So, it clearly wasnt because of the car. While I was there waiting for them to correct it, another customer walked up to me and explained that they break one of his lugnuts every time they rotate his tires, then want him to pay $107 for them to fix it. Lugnuts only break if you cross thread them, usually because you ran it on with an impact. That is 100% the tire shops fault, and they should take care of it. I didnt see a single customer go through there without them trying to upsell them. I also saw customers very surprised at how much they were charged. That should never happen. Like I said, stay far away from this place.Finally, the guys are rude. Just look at the all caps response, then go glance at their Yelp reviews.

They have great prices compared to other big box tire stores, they have extremely easy no credit check financing, and great tires. Discount Tire replaced my last tires and Les Schwab before that and I will never go back. Point S All the way. Thanks Brad for everything!

Great experience. I took my sons 91 Nissan in for an emissions test at 5:40pm, even though they close at 6, everyone there was more than happy to help us out. They even noticed that the air conditioner will need to be serviced and offered advice on what needs to be done. We will definitely be back for a full-point inspection very soon to get the vehicle safe for the road. Thanks guys!

I havent purchased tires from Christensens Point S Tire and Auto Service but have had my oil changed on two different vehicles. Thus far I am impressed by their honesty. My first experience was with my Silverado Pickup Truck that had a small oil leak. I was told that it was an oil pan plug that had been cross threaded when replaced by a dealership when I had my oil changed previously. Since the oil pan threads were stripped I was told that I might need a replacement oil pan at a cost of about $800. Christensens was able though to insert a coil so a new oil pan nut would work. They could have told me that the new pan was absolutely necessary and how would I know there was an alternative solution?I recently took a different vehicle in for an oil change and they mechanic discovered some seepage around the oil pan, so again there was the possibility of a large expense. After further inspection however, I was told that it wasnt necessary to replace the gasket on the pan and their was just minimal seepage that wasnt enough to drop on the ground.The bottom line? Here was two opportunities for Christensens to make some money on repairs but they were honest and saved me a lot of money.

Stopped in near closing time with a low tire. They got me right in. The service provider was more than happy to check all my tires and made sure to double check the low tire. Excellent service.

I went in to get some new tires and they helped out to find exactly what I need and had them installed next day I appreciate the staff and how I was treated this is my go to place to takey vehicles.

Ive been using these guys for tires and service work for 15 years. the service has always been exceptional and honest. Had one instance years ago where they didnt get the oil filter screwed on all the way and leaked oil badly. This can happen anywhere you go, they took care of it, no big deal. Ive bought at least 5 sets of tires from them for various vehicles over the years and have always been impressed with the advise I got each time.

Guys are friendly and bad ass. Brought my car in after two big name competitors took forever to take a look at my vehicle and Tore Factory had me in as soon as I pulled up. They got me out with quick. Awesome service. These guys have a customer for life. And i already recommended these guys to friends and family.

This place was great! My brothers been recommending them for quite a while now. I had a ball joint go out that made my truck feel like it was going to be blown off the road by a strong wind even though the wind wasnt blowing. Not only did they get me in the very next day and fix the terrifying wobble, they also beat the two mechanics Ive used for years by seventy bucks. Definitely will use them again in the future :)

Great service, professional but a bit pricey

My heater wasnt working and J reconnected the control cable at the temperature control end and worked out an air bubble from when the system was torn down for other repairs. I didnt use or need the heater since I left Phoenix but need it now! The fix was done quickly and affordably. I have plenty of heat now and know my defroster (wasnt needed in Phoenix) will work.

We have been coming to Christensen Tire factory for years. We have tried several other auto repair places through the years and we always come back. We have found the staff to be honest, straight forward and to the point. They are hard working and they have kept out cars in excellent condition for years.Recently we brought in our Honda Accord and found that there was more work that needed to be done then it was worth. The staff called us down walked through everything that they had done and tried to get to the root of the problem. They were able to show us the problems and had many hours into the car.When we realized there was no reason to fix the car, they spent another 30 minutes to get out back together and did not charge us for the work. We are grateful for all they have done to keep this car running for 200,000 miles. Thank you for making a difficult and frustrating car repair easier!

Ive been a mechanic for almost 20 years and have worked in and managed several shops. That being said good help is hard to find and initially I had some issues with some requested repairs. I reported the issues to management and had my issues promptly addressed. Good management makes all the difference in running a good repair shop, management bent over backwards to make things right and have consequently earned my repeat business.

These guys were so great. they helped me not only get a great set of tires. they came in under my budget for what i was willing let alone wanted to spend. LOL. they really were great will for sure be giving them my bussiness and for sure will recomend plus the Bathroom was CLEAN Huge bonus

I have worked with this shop several different times with three different vehicles. Each time I found them to be serious, competent mechanics that correctly diagnosed the problems and offered reasonable, solutions. The last time, another shop determined, that my old Cavaliers front wheel bearings needed replacing. That shop quoted me $990. I took the car to Christensens and they did the repair for $470. Honest, competent, and fair prices. Thats a mechanic Ill continue to use.

I went in with my Volkswagen tdi for an oil change and to get my ac chargedWas at the location for almost 3 hrs! And during the 3 hrs the price kept rising they said they weren’t aware my car was a diesel car so it would be more okay.They finally finish I pay and leave.I’m on my way to work the next day and my check engine light comes on !I call them they tell me bring it it in if we did it we won’t charge to fix it or the fee to run it through the scanner.The guy comes back 10 min later and says it’s my cooling system but they don’t have very much experience with diesel cars so they can’t fix it and so they won’t charge me for checking it with the scanner. My cooling system has to do with my ac they made my car worse then when I brought it in! Makes no sense why they even touched it if they don’t know much about diesel cars! Worst experience ever

We will never be coming back. We had a hole in one of our tires, they checked it really quickly and came back and said because of where the hole was it was not repairable and wanted us to pay $260 for a new tire that was just replaced by them 3 weeks earlier....we went to a different shop and $5 later we have a repaired hole in our tire. We felt like they were not honest with us and didnt take the time to really look if they could help us. I do not recommend going to this shop!

I took my 4Runner in for an alignment. The tech was very helpful as well as the front desk. They showed me where the front camber/caster bolt was seized on the lower control arm and were more than willing to readjust my alignment once I got that taken care of. Great customer service. Thank you

So far so good. Pleasant staff when everything is going smoothly. Didnt have any problems. Did whay they said they would do. Gave me options, and let me choose the best route for what needed to be done and what could be done later (but dont put it off too long). The repairs seem to be doing their job. Been about a month ago, so as the weather gets hotter, well see how it goes. Impessed thus far.

Hey these guys are trying to screw the public... I went to their shop today to get my RV emissions done and they tried to charge me $75 for a $35 emissions. They said that was the new price for a Emissions Test. I contacted a few other shops in West Valley and with the State and the normal cost is still $35! These guys are gouging seniors! Maybe thats why they had a price increase when I walked in the door! KEEP ON DRIVING IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A DECENT SHOP! I bet their tires are way over priced too.

Went there to get a simple oil change and they couldnt even put the correct oil in and on top of that they couldnt even fill it properly. I had to buy oil separately just to top it off. They didnt even know my car was diesel even after I told them multiple times. Ive had nothing but issues with this place. If you care about youre car dont go here.

I have been to this place 3 times and called them twice. And 3 times they said we are not able to help or we are almost closing. The times I called they gave me the same response, it’s pointless I don’t know how they are still in business. They need to change this location to a master muffler. Sure enough I called master muffler and they gave me the customer service that I deserve no questions asked. The employees here are lacking proactiveness and customer service. Shame

They were really helpful and my wife felt like they were honest and upfront about the work that needed to be done on our van. They were recommended by a friend and we would go back for other needs. Hopefully we dont need to.

I purchased a set of tires from them. I brought my truck in and they were able to get my new tires mounted and balance and an alignment done while I waited. I was impressed with their customer service, they made sure I was in and out as quickly as possible.

Got a quote to replace u joints and carrier bearing. They was three times the price of anyone else. When I told him that, his comment was good luck with that, I dont know how someone can do it that cheap. I got eight other bids, all within $50 of each other. Always get other bids, or people like this will take advantage of you.

Ive come here several times since I bought an older used car last year, mostly for tires and tire repair. I think this shop is great! They have always met my expectations, and I personally found the prices, at least for my vehicle, a bit lower than other shops I called around for pricing. The employees are professional,and as a female, I dont feel intimidated or uncomfortable. My first impression was that I could actually bear the waiting area because it didnt have that overwhelming tire smell most places do, its clean, and you cant go wrong with the comfy couches and large screen TV with DirecTV while you wait. All in all I would absolutely recommend them.

Honest! I took my car which has had a 1+ year leak of power steering fluid, dropped it off expecting it to be an expensive repair. They called me back a few hours later to tell me a clamp was off. They put it back on and charged me nothing. Friendly and polite. Theyve earned a life-long customer.

Customer service is not bad. i took my car in to look at getting new tires. They didnt have anything in my price range. As Im leaving my tire starts to come off. They didnt put lugs back on my car! ! i will never shop here again! horrible experience almost losing my entire wheel not even fully out of their parking lot!

I have been taking my cars here since I was 16. These guys are great. They really take care of their own and when they have a loyal customer they do everything they can to help them out. Ive had my fair share of problem cars, and every time I was in a bind, they made sure they got to the bottom of the problem. I have never been rushed out and told that everything was ok when in fact it wasnt. Never take my cars anywhere else.

They quoted me $856 for new brakes. I ordered 4 new brakes myself and they cost $108 so they charge $748 for service!? That’s seriously insane and I don’t understand how a business can feel right about charging someone that much money.If you’re a female don’t come here. They will just try to take advantage of you.
