First time at this shop, had a wheel bearing replaced. Did a great job. Kevin is friendly, knowledgeable (obviously, with more than 30 years of experience), bit of a smart a**, heart of gold kind of guy. Price was great, will be returning.

I showed up at 11 on Saturday morning, earlier this year and he took my daughters car in for an emissions test right away, while paying i asked about another car i have and he totally knew what was up.I had already spent $$$$ at another shop for a misdiagnosed issue. I totally wasted that $, he knew the engine needed a complete valve job and based on the engine in the car it was either the top or bottom half of the engine, no way of telling until it was taken apart. It wasnt worth the costs to repair ($1200 )for a (00 Accent)so its gone, but saved me dumping another ton of cash after it.4, o2 sensorsCatalytic converterNew Wires2 sets plugs4 fuel injectorsCoil blocknew fuel pumpThrottle position sensorAir intake sensorJust to name a few Id already replaced.His advice was free.Basically the valve in cylinder 1 went bad and wouldnt hold pressure because we didnt get it diagnosed properly the other guys had all that work done. Next time ask someone who knows cars.

Good shop to get emissions testing.

Called and asked Kevin if he would look at my kids Jetta and give me an estimate. I told him what was wrong with it and he said bring it in and hed take a look. I just happened to drive by an hour later and hed already looked at it. He gave me an estimate of over $1000 made it very clear he had no desire to work on it then billed me $160 for the estimate. Its my own fault that I didnt ask what he would charge to look at the car so I paid the $160 and wrote the car off. We bought it for $300 as a kid beater car, it had driven wonderfully for over a year, I figured we got our moneys worth out of it.I hadnt donated it two weeks later when my 17 year old asked if he could tow it to our regular mechanics shop and get a second opinion. Hes been wanting practice towing cars (since hes never done it before) so we went for it. $150 and 2 hours later, he drove the car home. Its now been running for over a month without a single problem.This is my only interaction with Kevin. I was impressed by the cleanliness of his shop, Ive driven past for years and always think, We should give him a try sometime. He was very friendly and personable to talk to, but Ill stick to Chavez Auto. Its farther away, the shop is filthy, but they get the job done for a fair price and Ive never been charged more for them to diagnose the problem than it cost to fix it. (Ive actually never been charged for a diagnosis there, ever. Even when I opted to do the work myself.)

My favorite mechanic! Kevin is extremely friendly. Oil changes are done fast and at a great price. I trust him with my car. He gives me an honest estimate and doesn’t recommend services you don’t need just to make more money. I come here for any mechanic work I need. Always leave a satisfied customer.

Kevin is great. He knows what he is doing. I have been bringing my cars there for years. Never had a problem. He even suggested for me to fix my own oil leak and walked me through how to do it because he knew I couldnt afford to pay him to do it. I think anyone else would have just told me it needed done and charged me a ton of money because they wouldnt have cared about my financial situation. Kevin truly cares and is up front and honest with me every time. I highly recommend his shop.

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Kevin for 5 years now. When other shops told us we needed to fix a cv joint and do some work before my husbands car would pass inspection we took it to Kevin and he told us that was bogus. Weve never had a problem, and he has always been more than helpful. Before we sign papers on any car we take it to him to know if its worth our time or not.

They came recommend from my grandson and did not disappoint! They have my business for life.

Got my truck running and got me back on the road. Went above and beyond to help me in a pinch and saved my job.Will return next time Im in the area, hopefully wont be an emergency next time!

Be careful of taking foreign cars to Kevin. I am a automotive novice I own a VW. I brought in a VW, Overheating issues, he does the diagnostic, Gives us the k to do the repair,. He has the car 1 day and half. ( he did say they needed a VW special thermostat. Hes finally done, He fixes abut 2 of the 3 things, He is unable to replace the water pump he doesnt have the tools. He seeme to be fishing for endless thanks, he joked that he didnt really like working on the car, he works better with american, So I paid bout 900 dollars and still have a water pump to replace. I kind of wish The diagostic would of pointd to the water pump, Then we would of known he couldnt fix it, I would of paid for the dianostic and went elsewhere. and I knd of wish he would of just told us to ake it somewhere else. There was a Ambivalence working with him on this, a uncertainty that left me more worried than angry, The only thing he was certain about was giving us the bill, If you have a VW, research VW certified mechanics or just bite the bullet and take it to the VW dealership, It will cost you yes but you can get all your repairs done at once.Once last thing, as with all mechanics, Take time stamped digital pictures of your car, Like the interior, exterior, The mirrors. Seats, Before taking it to ANY mechanic. My passenger side mirror came back completely charred, Kevin insisted that he couldnt of done because he was only around the engine, He is not going to pay for it and I can go pay to get it fixed. Hes not a very good mechanic, I have the feeling he knew about he water pump during th diagnostic and knew he couldnt fix it and said he could fix it anyway just to get the money I have such limited funds, Now I dont have a car until I can save up enough to go to a real mechanic and get it fixed. I dont want to see anyone else go thru this

Owner is arrogant freaked out on me when I came in worst business around west valley strongly suggest to stay away!!!!!

Kevin is a total jerk and stated I dont even care how you feel and hung up on me when I expressed concern that he wanted to charge $15 a day storage fees that he never had approved up front. Yeah, he will rip you off if he can! STAY AWAY unless you want him to run up a huge unauthorized bill and then put a mechanics lein on your car so you are forced to have your car repo-ed.
