The guys at Alpha Laser are very knowledgeable and great artists! Had my AR-15 Cerakoted and engraved! Came out Sick!
Took a rifle to get nickel plated on February 2019, he returned it in May 2019 and it was half way done and bolt carrier was put in wrong, wouldn’t fire, so i fixed that, some parts weren’t plated and the inside of the receiver was stripped off its original coating and wasn’t re coated back with anything. Returned it to Tyler the same week and he claimed he was going to finish it and coat the inside. He kept it until july 2019 and returned it the same way as the first time. Gave him a bad review on his Facebook page and sent me a message saying he’ll no longer take care of the issue until the review was removed. He wouldn’t communicate whats so ever, every time I would have to call him to see if the rifle was done. He claims the orange spots are not rust and that is a ref sealer, but its easy to identify rust by the texture and how it feels. The muzzle break is pealing and discoloring. I posted pictures of the rifle as well as the conversation we had through messenger on Facebook because now he claims I threatened him with harming him. When he took the project he asked to send him a picture of the way I wanted the rifle and that he could do anything and make it look identical “ALL BY MOUTH NOT WRITTEN DOWN ON PAPER”. When he returned it, is when all the excuses started. He said the top part of the rifle couldn’t get plated and that the rifle on the picture i sent him wasn’t the same as the rifle i took. The price for the project was $800.00, he ended charging me $1000.00
To start, it is very easy to avoid doing business with this company as they seem incapable of answering the phone. If you do have the misfortune of making it into the store, you can expect to see many great examples of Cerakote jobs they have done, but dont be tricked, yours will never turn out that good.First, you can expect a 5 week lead time, no matter what they tell you up front. It will take longer than the estimated time. When you get your gun back, dont get too excited, because you can expect several problems to pop up, and youll be lucky if your gun is even functional when it is returned. In my case, I dropped off a slide for an optics cut and a cerakote job. It was returned to me non-functional, with the wrong striker and wrong extractor. Large burrs were left behind from the slide cut operation, and instead of cleaning up the burrs, they just cerakoted over them. After cleaning up the burrs myself, I returned to ask for my striker back, which was provided. The threaded holes for the optics screws were cut to the wrong size, so the screws that come with the optic did not fit. I returned, again, to ask for some screws so I could actually use the optics cut I paid for. They provided some screws, told me they intended to, but forgot to give me the screws, despite having 2 opportunities to do so. After attempting to mount the optic again, I found that the screws they gave me were too short to mount the optic. By this point I was tired of dealing with these morons, so I went to ACE Hardware to buy some screws that actually fit, which took about 5 minutes and cost about $0.60.I am now at the point where my safety plunger falls out after ejecting the last casing. I have no desire to return to the storefront to get a new extractor, so I just bought one.In my line of work, we get to see many victims of Alpha Laser Engraving, and I can tell you that there are several individuals who had worse experiences than I did, which is honestly impressive. Im lucky that my firearm ONLY needs some replacement parts, rather than several hours of gunsmithing. I dont know how a company like this stays in business.I couldnt recommend this company less, and I make sure to tell anyone interested in slide milling or cerakote jobs to avoid this place, as there are several other options from reputable companies.Edit: I work at Shoot Straight, the gun store just down the street from Alpha. At least I know that I didnt get special treatment to refer customers there. The fact that they have no record from the reply should tell you all you need to know. We are seeing a lot of botched work from Alpha, and I show customers my firearm as an example. Buyer beware.
Scam. been calling and emailing about my gun for the last 3 months. No answer or response. Please listen to the reviews
Tyler and crew were right on point. Great quality work.
Awesome service. Very knowledgeable and a real pro. Made an appointment for NFA engraving and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Will be back.
Quality work at a quality price. Ive had Tyler and his team due to pieces for me. They both came out amazing. Looking forward to doing much more business with him and his team.
This place is very professional and highly skilled at what they do. I highly recommend them. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.
This is by far the best company in this industry Ive ever worked with, and the owner is the most down to earth guy and he goes out of his way to take GREAT care of the people he deals with.! 10-outta-10!!!
The guys from Alpha are top notch! Some of the most creative minds I’ve ever seen when it comes to cerakote and laser engraving jobs. Amazing attention to detail.
Met alpha laser engraving at a gun show the staff was very knowledgeable when it came to cerakote and lasering so I dropped of my gen 4 glock 19 to get some stippling and slide work along with some gun candy and honestly I’m amazed at the outcome and can’t wait to drop off my ar 15! Great job alpha laser and engraving
My association sent a pistol grip to Tyler over a year ago For engraving and have been promised it’s done and shipped countless times. He lies like a rug. Don’t ever think about doing business with this company! He won’t even give us the grip back.
Had 4 knives engraved for Christmas. They were a hit. Everyone at Alpha are great. Jane called me for pickup the moment they were done. Thanks guys for the last minute order. You pulled it off for me. I will be back for sure.
Great guys love the work will be stopping by for more work very soon.
Awesome work performed by a wonderful staff. no better Cerakoters within 100 miles guaranteed.
I had 2 guns laser engraved, and they turned out excellent. Very happy with the results. Good service. Thank you
Great company great Owners and do spectacular work
Great company! They are experts at what they do!
I’ve had 2 cerakote jobs on 2 different guns by 2 different companies. I was skeptical to get my second job, as my first ended up being a terrible color and not what I thought I was getting. Alpha did an excellent job, and I would recommend these guys for cerakote job on any of my firearms.
Has done a few of my guns (including dead mans hand) best work in the country!
Do not trust this company with your property! I waited 10 months to get my SBR tax stamp. Took it into the store to get the proper engravings, he misspelled my last name and city on the lower reciever. Also tried to remove the castle nut but couldn’t since it was double staked, he caused visible damage to the castle nut and threading on the buffer tube. Lied to me saying that’s how I dropped it off.Gave him a second chance to fix it, and the cover up job is absolutely horrible. And this time he removed the castle nut and tried to cover up the new damage with black paint.Do not trust them with your NFA items!
Can not be trusted. You only have one chance to engrave a firearm. Left a note with how to spell everything the right way and still managed to butcher my $800 lower receiver.
Great Work! They did a gun for my husbands Christmas gift and he loved it!
Needed an NFA engraving, these guys did it in one day! Love them!
