I originally contracted Engineered Tax Services in February 2021 to perform a Cost Segregation Study on an investment property, just a few weeks after working with another CSS company on a different property. The lady from Sales I spoke with was friendly and assured me this would be a fast process. Long story short, it is now September and I am still waiting for the report they created to be fixed, because it was rejected by my CPAs. To be fair, I apparently did not provide them with enough data on dates certain property items were put into use, but they are the experts and this was only the second CSS I had ever done so was not aware that there was any missing info. They did not ask for any clarification or additional data and compiled the report. (Note: The other company I worked with provided a full copy of ALL pages of their report with DRAFT written on each page, so my CPAs could review all of it. These folks only provided a few summary pages and require that you accept the report based on just that or request modifications). I erroneously accepted their report and when we received the rest of the pages, my CPAs reviewed it and pointed out that there were items placed in the wrong tax year. When I reached out to Engineered Tax Services about this, I was informed that I would now need to pay an additional $250 per hour to make these corrections and that it should take 2 hours to make them. For the sake of getting this completed, I agreed to pay the extra fees and was told it would be revised and sent to me within 1 week. It has now been 25 days since then and the 2 hours of work (literally changing about 6 CapEx items from 2020 to 2021) still has not been completed. Meanwhile, the other CSS company I worked with completed their entire report within 3 weeks, they were very responsive and there were no rejects by my CPAs. As much as I dont enjoy writing negative reviews about a business, my experience has been so sub-par that I feel obligated to warn other investors so they dont experience the same disappointments or incur additional expenses as a result of their delays.

Received a telephone call and spent a moment in conversation regarding our R&D Tax Credits. The very second the caller from Engineered Tax Services realized I was not a good prospect, he immediately hung up on me.

They did help me with tax credits, but the service was too slow. They take ages to return my calls, and the people here are often too busy to listen to the customers properly. Its not an experience that I would like to repeat. There are plenty of other firms in the area

ETS took great care of us for our R&D credit package. I have always had great customer service from ETS. We use ETS every year for our R&D filing.

There are many downsides to being an ETS employee. First off, the job is not worth the pay, you will struggle to make ends meet. Then, the management only cares about the top line. They dont care about making things better for their employees. There was often severe lack of communication and disrespectful to employees. I would recommend you seeking work elsewhere.

The expectations of management are inhumanely high. They want everything you do to be perfect, and they dont allow any room for mistakes. The pressure is too high and employee morale is too low. Its hard to work properly and do your best when youre stressed because management expectations are unrealistic.

Continually so impressed by what ETS is able to do with clients I bring to them. Very few firms are able to get to the bottom of tax complexities the way ETS is.

Deal With The Employees Dissatisfaction Concerning SalaryPros: The companys location is very nice and easy to reach. You can do whatever you want but make sure you finish and do your job accordingly.Cons: Employees have to wait for one year to get 401k option. The hourly rate is unsatisfying consider the heaviness of the workload. What was given is what you receive. There is no payment for overtime, and the worst, its very hard to get a raise. You need to pray for a miracle.

Great service and results. I had two buildings for which I wanted cost segregation reports in order to lower my taxes. Kimberly was very responsive, worked with my property manager, and sent out a very professional engineer to complete the work. They wanted to schedule lots of phone calls to make the process very straight-forward, I declined a few since I trusted them to just get the work done right. And that they did. Both reports have been forwarded to my CPA and I expect pretty big savings this year. I can reccomend their services to anyone with an investment property and taxable income.

Theres too much micromanaging done by management. Upper management watches every move made by the employees, and they make sure that have a say in every single decision. This makes the work atmosphere toxic and more stressful than it should be. If you made the mistake of working here, leave as soon as you can.
