We cannot say enough about how appreciative we are of SERTs honesty and openness about pricing and expectations. We called SERT after sending our drive to another company, and needing advice. This other company (will go unnamed but there are SO many just like this) first gave us a range of pricing, promising it would be on the lower end of it, only to get a call back that it was at the VERY top end of the range. Then they promised to get 90-98% of our data back based on the damage, only to get back 70%. They had promised no cost if we were not happy with the recovery, but when we asked to stop moving forward were told that there was a $200+ cancellation fee. From the beginning, every promise this other company made and explanation was vague, dishonest, and turned out to be a bait-and-switch. After speaking to SERT for only a few minutes, I had a better explanation than I had received from this other company in month. and I only wish we had sent it to them to begin with. He was very direct and honest about everything from cost, experience, and work involved and we were able to move forward without questions. I cannot recommend them enough.

Just got my hard drive data back from SERT Data Recovery, including the latest draft of an almost-completed novel. They managed to even get into an encrypted Mac where I had no idea of the encryption key. Great service, reliable, responsive, and organized. Highly recommend them.

The attitude of Todd, i think its his name, is the worse... Answering every question as if the customer is stupid and over explaining things when I made a mistake on the quote form. I chose not to do business with them. He claims hes the most affordable in the area when he quoted me a flat rate of $2300 without even evaluating the device and another company charged $300. Because it was a simple problem.

As a CE, I figured Id try a recovery myself. Following that terrible failure, I sent it into SERT to have them try their luck. A few smooth Beatles tunes later, I received fantastic news--they got drive to dump the data. My drive was encrypted, had al leads missing, a lump of solder connecting two leads, and was stripped down to its chips; a very tough recovery. I was working as usual from my work desktop and a violent sneeze combined with me smacking my knee on the top of my desk led me to stomp down on my USB sticking out of my computer and I just couldnt believe what I had just done.I took my USB to several local computer shops (was April 2020 so right middle of COVID) and the quotes were astronomical, and they would have to send it out anyway.I found SERT Data Recovery online and tried them. The price was so much lower compared to others I was hopeful but also skeptical. While in order to keep their price down they have to automate a lot of things and so there really isnt a number to call, they did email me with updates.I got my USB back with everything on it for around $240 + shipping. I was so happy and relieved with the service. Again, in order to keep this price down, they arent paying for full time staff to answer phones but as long as you follow the instructions on their website and give them time to get back to you, it should work out.I give them a 100% review.

My COVID project was to organize and catalogue my thousands of photos (both digital and hard copy, that I scanned) to download them onto Archival CDs. This place was sadly the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with in a company. I sent in a broken flash drive in early February, was given a quote during our first communications.I check in about 2 weeks later to find out the status and if they need any more information. No response other than the automatic, Someone will review and contact you shortly. Covid hits in March - obviously, business shuts down nearly everywhere.I call in June because its been ZERO communication with these people. I finally get emails and a phone call about how it was a larger problem with my drive and my price has suddenly gone up. No other information.Didnt anyone contact you?No.Ill call you back.After an hour, Sert calls and due to their miscommunication my bill is not as large as it could have been. Still more, but not soul-crushingly more.August hits and Ive yet to receive my flash drive. I email. Theyve been having issues with FedEx now? A two month issue? But it will go out tomorrow.I request a tracking numberLittle under two weeks later, I contact them again for a tracking number. The tracking number goes to a product that was delivered three states over five days ago.A phone call later and I finally receive my flash drive two days later. It works, but communication and professionalism are not a strong suit.If you have a product with them, stay on it. Keep on it.TL/DR: This company sucks at communication.

I then checked out a company that my IT guy suggested which seemed to offer the same service but at 5-6x the price of SERT.SERT was honest and open about the possibilities and set my expectations that theyd do all they could to recover my data. I printed the free shipping label and in under a week (with the NON expedited), I received my data on a new thumb drive.Highly recommend.

I contacted SERT because one of our managers could not open her USB and thought she had lost all of her files. I spoke with Linda over the phone and she was the absolute sweetest. I cannot say enough good things about SERT Data Recovery. I was on a work trip and my jump drive suddenly died. Totally my own fault, but I had not backed it up recently and hundreds of files were potentially gone. I was devastated to say the least. I did a lot of research online and found SERT. One of the things that impressed me was the amount of their reviews and how positive they were. I can totally see why now. Once I reached out, they were very quick to respond to my questions and very much understood how upsetting losing your data can be. They treated me with great kindness and spent a good deal of time trying to repair it but due to the fact that my jump drive was a monolith drive they were not able to. They arranged for it to be sent to a partner company that specializes in this type of recovery. I was told it could take up to 6 months to recover due to the repair work that has to be done so I was happily shocked when just a few days later received a shipment notice. From them getting the drive to getting the shipment notice only about 2 weeks had passed and I received it back within 3. They definitely mastered the art of surprise and delight vs the disappoint. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help recovering their files.

No. No. No. Do not use this service. I dropped off an external hard drive. I received notification that some files were recovered. With no notice, I get charged, including shipping, even though I live locally and dont need anything shipped. Then I go to drop off a blank hard drive to transfer the files and no one is there. I leave voicemail, send email, call back a few days later...no response. When I call, its an answering service where they tell me they cant help me because theyre an external service. They tell me theres no one that can help me. At this point, Ive been charged several hundred dollars, more than 2 weeks have passed and no files. On our last conversation, Todd ask that I call before to make sure they will be there. Even when I follow through with this favor, no one answers the phone. I am disappointed and unfortunately, do not recommend this service.

When my personal PC would not boot it was analyzed as a defective hard drive and a recovery process would be required to recover any data if it was still possible. SERT was recommended to me for this endeavor.As I was a novice in this Todd and Linda took the extra time to explain what would could be done and the costs involved. I tried everything I could to recover my own data. I knew the hard drive needed to be opened for recovery which is above my abilities. I took a chance and agreed to their terms. they gave me easy instructions to mail my drive to them. In two days they contacted me to inform me that they could recover my data. I opted to have them put my data on a SS drive I purchased from them. In summary, my hard drive with every single file I have ever owned (Pictures of family, documents, videos, music, etc.) since I had my first computer were on an external hard drive that unexpectedly quit working. It is hard to put a price on this. SERT personnel were extremely professional and helpful throughout the process. The people here are really great. They worked on my dead jump drive for awhile. When it was not possible to recover the data they did not charge me for their hard work. They could have easily charged me for their time but their policy is no recovery no charge. Extremely ethical. Overall, Im glad I went with SERT. They kept me updated every step of the way, and their turnaround time with fair. They gave me a price upfront, which helped (some places were like, its $x-$y an hour and can take x hours to y hours to complete ... so it was like, This is gonna cost you anywhere from $800 to $8000) Yeah, that wasnt going to fly. And PS, SERT did not charge me thousands for my recovery. They were fair. They also recovered over 20,000 files. ALL of my most important files were recovered. Some of the photoshop files and image files were corrupted, but I got all of my important WORD documents.And the moral of this story is...dont do that again! Thank goodness my laptop was under warranty and repairing THAT will be free (remind me ALWAYS to get the warranty!). But from now on, Ill handle my computer with more care AND Ill back everything up. However, we kinda all already know we SHOULD do that, dont we? Sometimes we just have to learn our lesson the hard way. So if you are in the boat Im in now--or find yourself there sometime in the future--I recommend you save yourself the time and headache and just go straight to SERT. I wish I had.

From the initial phone consultation, to keeping me apprised with regular email/phone updates at each step along the way, I was very impressed with their ability to deliver what they promise: data recovery. Not only were they able to retrieve 100% of my flash drive contents (broken connector), they even went the extra mile and emailed a time-sensitive file to me as soon as it was recovered prior to returning the restored flash drive--without charge. SERT Data Recovery did an excellent job! My flash drive crashed, and they were able to get ALL of my data back. Unfortunately, I needed a Tier 2 repair, so it was a little more expensive than initially quoted ($199, instead of the on sale price of $129); this is still cheaper than most other data recovery services. However, the speed and accuracy of my data recovery were worth every penny. Additionally, the level of customer service that I received was nothing short of exceptional. I will definitely use SERT for future data recovery needs.

They sounded good on paper (online), but once I sent my drive and they looked at it, they tried to upsell me to $700. I even agreed to that price - I really want my files back! - but then they had my flash drive for 2 months without ever doing anything with it. I would occasionally email or get an email or call and speak to someone, but I was told they were working on it or it was in the queue and nothing ever got done. Finally I just called and cancelled the whole thing and had them send my flash drive back. Now I have to start all over trying to find a reputable company who might help me.

When SERT sent my initial estimate for the cost of my data recovery but then stated that other cost might be incurred, I prepared for the worst but I gave permission for the recovery. That is when the communication started. I was surprised that SERT was in constant contact with me with personal emails about the progress of my recovery project. Then I was amazed when the final cost was exactly what I had been quoted. All of my data arrived, in perfect condition, on a brand new drive. I broke the end off of my jump drive and thought that I would have to spend hours recreating all of the documents that I could now not access. An in-house accident caused a damaged hard drive in my laptop. Unable to be fixed locally it was suggested I look online at three suggested sites. I chose SERT and was glad I did. From initial contact to delivery of the recovered data the staff was courteous and helpful in all ways. Obviously a professional staff, they were able to recover about 40k photos and all the material I had collected for an upcoming book I am writing. Nobody answer the calls for days ...specially after you paid them. Be very careful, maybe they are expert recovering info but theyre customer service is horrible and kind of irresponsible when give the world done on time. The office hours are wrong as well. Make sure you dont drive all the way there and found the place close.

The services were requested on behalf of a laboratory at a university, which means lots of bureaucratic red tape. SERT was able to recovery all of my data on my USB drive. I highly recommend this company. They were fast and made the process efficient. My only complaint is the price. The cost was a little over $300 to recover about 6 GB of data.

First off, I was told that my data had been recovered and I was excited. Then, I was told that was a mistake, and they had me confused with someone else. I was quoted $199, which then turned into an extra $67 because you guys claim someone else worked on the drive. I did not send it to anyone else, but since your tech person said it had been worked on I was forced to pay the $67 with no way of having proof. How do I know you guys didnt just say that to get extra money out of me. More than 5 business days passed, even though I was told typically 2 - 3 business days. I was then told that the quote would now by over $500. NO, not acceptable. NOW you want $15 more to ship it back to me. This has been a rip off and a waste of my time.

I had a broken flash drive with over 6,000 files on it. SERT was able to fully recover all of the files in an extremely efficient time frame. I had gotten quotes from other vendors of over $300 just to look at the device and SERT did the job for $179! These guys are the REAL DEAL. Answer phone on the weekend, less than 1/3 the price of Tiger Directs data retrieval company, and they provide excellent communication and DO WHAT THEY SAY WHEN THE SAY THEY WILL DO IT. No small feat for any Florida company or contractor. I had a RAID 5 array of hard drives that were inside a server that stopped working. Not only did they recover the data but also they are setting us up with the proper remote backup protocols that our current IT company should have set up. My flash drive stopped working after years of constant use. I tried recovery software, and nothing worked. SERT was able to recover all the data on the failed hard drive and were very good to work with. I was out of town and they worked with me to schedule the shipment of the hard drive with the recovered data so someone would be home to receive it. The did a good job and recovered all the data.

I had important information on a thumb drive that became corrupted. The website said 24/7 so I called at 7 pm. Tech called me right back. They gave me a price only if they could recover my data. They didnt over promise but they did over deliver. Great job! Very satisfied.

I used the recovery service and they were able to recover all my data that I had on my zip drive. My zip drive had been bent and no matter what I had did I could not bring back my data. Without the help of the SET Data Recovery I would not have my pictures, data, files that without this service would have been lost forever. SERT did a great job recovering the data from a broken flash drive. The photos recovered were scans of old family photos we will not have any access to at this point and had not been transferred to our personal server yet, so I am very happy they recovered every photo from the drive. When our recently married granddaughter called, crying her heart out, we were terrified! I was looking for a local data recovery lab to recover data from two sata hard drives. I found SERT Data recovery online through Google (they actually come up under A+ computers). Totally recommend SERT Data Recovery. Sent my drive to Kroll first and they came back with a price of over $1300 to recover my data. I asked them to send it back and I sent it to SERT who was able to beat that price while providing great customer service.
