When we met Kim several years ago, we were insured through USAA. As a former military officer, I was convinced that USAA was the best option and that they were truly interested in taking care of their military family. As their rates continued to climb each renewal and eventually double, it was becoming clear that our house did not meet the USAA model.Turning to Kim for help, he was able to confidently recommend different companies and provide better coverage. Its funny how the review before mines specifically mentions Kim McEvers. Mainly because my issues involve him as well.Long story short, I had a wonderful representative at first, Gabriel Silva, who went above and beyond in all that he did. When Gabriel left and began his own company, by agreement he had to leave his old clients behind whose business he earned through WeInsure. Understandable. Now enters Kim McEvers taking over my policy.Issue number 1: When I needed to get a new insurance policy for a newly leased vehicle, Kim was begrudgingly helpful in helping to provide quotes for insurance based on the different vehicles I was looking at. It took my father, who had first established our family relationships with WeInsure, to step in and threaten removing business for our family moving forward. Then the kind understanding, explanations & helpfulness were received from McEvers.Issue #2: I leased my new vehicle, signed for new insurance. But...the company did not cancel the old policy, resulting in me getting charged for both the old and new policy the next month. While they did ultimately get the situation resolved, I was passed onto a customer service rep, who walked-the-walk, but did not talk-the-talk...i.e. I gave WeInsure my cancellation paperwork, and they did not send to the old insurance company to give my refund and cancel the policy until I called back to check on the transaction a couple weeks later. It took 2 more phone calls to hold WeInsures actions to their words.Issue #3 (PLEASE READ THIS): I found out in July 2018, that my license had been SUSPENDED since DECEMBER 2017. Why? After hours on the phone with the DMV, giving the DMV my insurance paperwork backdating to December 2017 repeatedly, yet still having it rejected...I finally called WeInsure out of desperation, and after about 20 minutes of investigation, it turned out that my VIN # was incorrect on my insurance policy. Technically meaning...I was essentially driving around uninsured for over 7 months...or as WeInsure would like to put it It would have ultimately been Progressives discretion to cover me of not due to the circumstances, but it was correctable if an accident of incident had occurred. Luckily, I had an email going to McEvers showing that I provided him with the CORRECT VIN #, allowing me to have documented proof that the error was not my fault, and that it was WEINSUREs data entry error. The VIN they used was not even the previous vehicle I owned...it was a completely different vehicle.When I reached out to McEvers, obviously upset and frustrated, he did not initially respond. When I followed up a second time, he didnt even have the courage or motivation to reach out to me personally, or even apologize for the error and hours of time it cost me to correct HIS mistake. I literally took a day off work to resolve this with the DMV, because...if I got pulled over in those 7 months with an (unknowingly) suspended license....the risk would have been arrest and jail time. He passed me off to a customer service associate, also unapologetic & offering no concession, to get my current insurance documentation updated to my correct vehicle. And guess what? Because they did not also update my previous 6-month policy, my license was suspended AGAIN. Let me end it this way...this was my final straw, and I found a new insurance broker immediately, and have had a much better experience.Moral here: If you are looking for a knowledgeable, professional, proactive company with the customers well-being in mind...THIS IS NOT THE ONE. You have to essentially double check & manage the work that they do to ensure THEY are doing their jobs. WeInsure should not be allowed to insure. The. End.
