This is one of my favorite local animal shelters to donate and volunteer for. The people who work there are incredible human beings. PLEASE!! If you have any towels, blankets, or can donate food they would greatly appreciate that. ♥️ All of the doggie and cat homes are always so clean and up to par!!I would like to mention they do a wonderful job spaying and neutering all animals. The vet is literally on point and the vet techs are very nurturing. The price is very affordable and if you have SNAP it is free of charge. There are so many animals out there so please get your fur babies fixed. 🙏

For the first time ever palm beach county has done something right! I had 2 feral cats sterilized there, and the whole process was painless and professional! Two thumbs up to Sarah,she is great! Everyone was nice.

This is a very nice facility. I was there yesterday, looking at cats. Jose, who works there, was very kind, patient, informative, and accommodating! I enjoyed time getting to know Colton, Ginger Lee,, Rosie, and a couple other kitties during the process. I plan to come back soon, and yet, still undecided on which cat to take home. Jose also offered info on providing a foster if interested. That idea does also intrigue me.I was delighted to spend the afternoon there! Thank you, David

Very great place to adopt a dog. I was able to see and interact with him. He was 3 months old and very little bing. Place is clean and you can see dogs are very well taken care of! Love the new edition to my family of three dogs!! Will be back to adopt more!

I went in to give a small donation. The cat that I adopted 2 years ago has given me more love than any other loving cat Ive ever had. She helped me through lockdown.

Wonderful staff. Have adopted dogs we just love.Have brought multiply cats to be spayed. We had an emergency recently when we discovered a young cat ill. We were delighted when they treated her. These are kind people devoted to the care of homeless and sick animals.God bless them all.

Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The place was immaculate. One of the cleanest facilities that I have been to. Wanted to take all of the dogs home. Going back tomorrow with my brothers dog to make sure she wants two brothers. Yes, he is going to adopt two if all goes well. Im so excited because Spartacus and I will get to babysit sometimes. I definitely would recommend this shelter if you are looking for your new best friend!!!!!!!!!

We went to animal control to just look for a cat. We ended up adopting an adorable 2 year old cat. The staff was very friendly and acknowledgeable. Cost of adoption was normally $50, but they were taking just a donation of what you thought it could afford. They also gave us a bag of the food they used and suggestions if we werent going to keep using the same food. This wasnt the first adoption we have done the Palm Beach County Animal Control and Im sure it wont be our last.We went I looking for a cat for a new pet. We ended up adopting a Walter, a 2 year old adorable cat.The cost of adoption was on a donation, but regularly the adoption is $50. They also supplied us with a bag of food they used to feed them and gave us suggesting on the if we were not going to continue to use the same food. The staff was friendly, acknowledgeable, and seemed to really care for the animals waiting to be adopted. This was our 2nd time adopting from Palm Beach County Animal Control and Im sure it wont be the last. We have had Walter for a month and enjoying him very much.

They dont care about any animals at all. They just care about getting their money and going home. Wrongfully euthanized a girls dog only a couple hours after him being gone! She wouldve paid for his medical Bills! Awful people and I wish you guys would be shut down forever. You dont care about animal lives. Disgusting excuse for humans who work here.

Found an injured stray dog in our neighborhood this morning and called PBC Animal Control. Officer Balfe arrived quickly and went above and beyond to safely get the dog in her truck and bring it for help! She followed up with us and told us the dog will be okay! Thank you!

Careless. This clinic gave the wrong vaccine to my grandmother’s puppy, and then blamed us, even though they had his full vaccination history. Found out that the vaccine that was needed is not even offered, and instead they had actually administered 3 vaccines that the puppy was not due for. I also feel they may have blocked my number? I tried calling for information afterwards and immediately got sent to their voicemail system 3 times. I called from a private number right after and was able to get through immediately. If not, then they just have horrible customer service.

I have volunteered and donated to this shelter for years, as well as adopted multiple cats from here. One day my cat milo was hit by a car and was brought to this shelter by a Good Samaritan. He was left in the corner in a metal cage and received no attention what so ever. Instead I was sent an email saying that they would euthanize him for having a minor dislocated jaw. I will never come back to this facility ever again. I am disgusted(Picture of the email is on Yelp)

They lied to us.We did everything by the law to adopt a dog and instead they returned her to her first owner who openly admitted to abuse of the dog in his household with just a photo of proof of ownership.They did not think of the dogs well-being.

Took my 3 dogs in for the rabies clinic and was assisted by Susan in customer service. They were fast, and efficient and got us in and out. One of my dogs was a little skiddish and the Vet Techs were so gentle. The prices were so affordable as well. I really appreciate a low cost option to keep my fur babies safe!

They had two dogs I was interested in, but they said they were sending them to a private shelter. Seems to me if I was offering a good home They should have let me take them. I hope they dont sit long at the other shelter. Too bad. Poor puppies.

The guard was very serious about covid related questions and hand sanitizing I had to wait about 15 minutes and I didnt see anyone else they didnt have the dog I was looking for that my friends lost please go and pick out a dog they need good homes please youll never regret it thank you...also if you know of animals being abused .. please please speak up bc animals dont have a voice. Sad day as we had to have one of cats put down due to cancer. The young lady at the counter was very nice and sympathetic. Walked us through the paperwork showing empathy at us losing a long term member of the family.

I lost my Chihuahua....we are sooo sad...l went their to make a report...everyone was so helpful....the security officer guided us to the lost and found to see if my Chihuahua was there...put no luck...l went back to the front office and they help me get the report done....l was there at 545....they closed at 6...and everyone was nice...gat out by 605..my last picture 3 days ago...

If you need to get your dog rabies shots and licensed make sure you do it on the Sunday from 2 on because they close at 3 and I was in and out of there in a heartbeat.

I really dont like going to this place every year to get my dogs tag. If you can purchase a 3 year vaccine that is the same thing as a 1 year vaccine, the only difference is the paperwork and your compliance, why cant I purchase a 3 year tag with the understanding that there is no refunds if my dogs passes before the 3 years are over.

Going to the animal care and control I thought would be one big mess but I will say that I was in and out within no later than an hour I believe it was even less than that for me to get my dog and cat the rabies and tags customer service was really good and nice and helpful Im once again like I said I wasnt that long of a wait and we were in and out

Just adopted a dog after my dog passed in old age, the people who work at this shelter care about animal, volunteers included. Daisy (she was a stray dog) had a medical condition when being spayed, the vet and vet techs there followed up closely and made sure she is in good shape before releasing to me for adoption. She is recovering really well, and we are grateful for their service in this community.

Hoping people take the big dogs. No small dogs in shelter.

This place could use a good cleaning (its super smelly) however, it could still be the place that you find your next four-legged friend! All the more reason to rescue a pet from there, as I see it

Been there two times to see different dogs. Both times experienced the worst customer service. Youd think people who work with animals would be a little more kind and empathetic. Especially when you WANT to rescue a dog from their shelter.

The members of Animal Care & Control are some of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met. Me and neighbors took care of a community stray cat for years, none of us were able to take her in as our own. Recently she became ill with skin issues. We gathered donations to take her to a local vet who said she was allergic to something in the environment and needed treatment—we felt our only option was to get help at Animal Control. We found our stray cat was originally adopted from Animal Care & Control and they comforted us with the knowledge they would treat her and then work to get her fostered or homed if her health was good. They took her in with kindness and great compassion. An excellent group of committed animal lovers.

I called to report two constantly loose dogs and was told by Darren at PBCACC that my 7 lb Shih Tzu and I would have to be chased and/or mauled before they could do anything. I then asked about leash laws. Darren said there are leash laws. However, my neighbors and I have been calling to report the loose dogs, and no action has been taken by PBCACC. I pay taxes and cant walk up and down my street because pit bulls are loose so my dog is relegated to my yard. Darren said because the dogs are pit bulls doesnt mean they are dangerous which is true but I dont want to lose my baby or be injured myself to find out.

Was there for a rough situation had to put one of my dogs to sleep.Very professional. Very Understanding.

One staff was rude and did not allow me to speak with a supervisor. She told me to leave a find services somewhere else after I explained Im left several messages and no one has contacted me or called me back. She stood with the door yelling while I asked to speak to someone else until the person who I needed to speak with came outside. She never took the time to even ask the nice lady who help me get on the waiting list to get my dog fixed. The rude lady Im did not get her name but she is African American with a very short hair cut and she needs to be told and taught better customer service. She does not need to work in the front area because she is not resourceful and likes to argue with the public.

Went in to inquire about available small dogs. Women at front desk was so kind and patient and helpful. The process was explained in detail to adopt rescued, found and surrendered dogs. I left disappointed that no dogs were available, but very knowledgeable as to opportunities available to adopt and how to stay on top of what could potentially be a wonderful pet. Here’s are two tips: listed are A and P identification numbers. P’s are found and in homes waiting to see if owner not found they will keep it. These dogs do not belong to PBC. Your best chance is to find a A pet with the newest found date. Call immediately. Give them the id number on any number of pets on there web site and if no pre-adoption already assigned, run don’t walk and complete the pre-adoption application and pay the 75.00 fee. There is no guarantee the owner will not be found, but this is your best chance. If owner found you will be in there system and your Prepaid 75.00 Will be applied to a pet adoption when you find one. Hope, this helps. I was blessed and God gifted me with a wonderful 2 year old schnauzer from a co worker. Good luck and sometimes the wait is worth it to save a dog or cat.

100% unresponsive. I left several messages as well as a voicemail and no signs of life at this office. Terribly disappointing.

I found a dog and I traveled almost an hour to do the right thing and bring him up there for the owner to find. The dogs chip was never registered so they did not locate an owner. I was told that I could adopt the dog if I left a $60 deposit. I did that.the woman helping me told me to use a charge card because if the owner showed up it would take at least three months to get the $60 back if I used any other method. the veterinarian called me over the weekend to tell me that the dog was 11 to 14 years old and had a level 4 out of 6 heart murmur. Therefore, they could not neuter him and I was asked if I still wanted him. I said that I would take him regardless of his age and health condition.I was told to pick him up on Tuesday unless I got a call and yes, the diarrhea had stopped and he was eating.When two of us got there we were asked for $70. I inquired what it was for and the female behind the counter told me it was for neutering. I responded that the vet had called me and he could not be neutered so I will not pay for that service. Then she said I could not have the dog if I did not pay the fee. After elevating it to two supervisors, the fee was waived but they would not give me the list of vets with coverage for a certain amount of time that they offer people.then they gave me a bag of dog food for dogs that were one to six years old. I asked if that was what he had been eating and I was told that they did not have any more food for Senior dogs.When he was finally brought out to me he had stool on him and smelled like poop. It was disgusting. Of course I saved him and took him to be bathed immediately. If I did not get him he would have been sent to a shelter or euthanized.This place is terrible and does not seem to take care of the dogs they have there.I am happy I saved this dogs life and brought him to my own vet and he is very thankful and loving.

Had to get a rabies shot renewal for one of my girls and the other had just suffered a heart attack thenight before so took her for cremation as well.I was greeted with a smile.They took care of my girlswith great care.Great staff and I know they go through hell with some people and they still continue to smile and take care of our animals.Thank you all very much.Dale

My mom is on disability and she has two male dogs !! because they are not fixed they often get into squabbles !! one is just a puppy and they are related.. because of my mom’s disability they put both of her dogs on a waiting list to have them both spayed!! Love our newest family member Briar but wish they updated the online and in person selections faster. We fell in love with a pretty kitty that was already adopted but we didnt fine out until we were half way done with the process ourselves. Still they do great work here!

My experience here was very awkward as the security guard stopped us and acted as she couldn’t let 3 people in together to pick up an animal due to COVID regulations but hilariously enough a group of 3 white women just left. And left things very obvious for me she didn’t want me in the building.
