I took my granddaughter for a phone. She enjoyed the attention she got from the Spectrum associate. It was pleasant, faster than I thought it would be, and we got value for our money. Were very satisfied.
I usually dont write negative reviews for small local businesses. But this time, I want to let everyone know how horrible and inconsistent the service that I had from West Melbourne Spectrum Store.As they say One unprofessional associate or a customer service representative enough to get the blame on Companies and enough to change the companys value and Service excellencies. Today, I upgraded my Internet speed service and I been advised that Modem that I had is an old one and must change with a new one. They sent me to the Local Spectrum store in West Melbourne.I have been there at least 15 times already I changed my old modem, upgraded my iPhone, add more services to my account .. you name it.This time Spectrum associate named Javier tried to help me. and asked ID to get into my account. He said the your first name shown on the account and your ID are different so, I cant help you.I said, you helped me before and so then everyone else your colleagues many times. why are you telling me this now? The account was opened with the abbreviation of my name.I stated. if this was procedure, of the identity it should be follow up at all times with the customer service person in here. Not only with you and not only now!..There was another associate next to Javier, he recognized me I was there last week and tried to add my brothers account to the Spectrum. So how come he was able to get into my account and help me but you can not?I had my elderly mom was waiting in the car. I told him, I need help to exchange this modem, mom is waiting in the car but he wouldnt help me, he refused. Javier said you must call the main office and changed. so I did, spoke with the Billing dept. and taken care of it. when I went back to his stand he said it is not updated and still showing the old name.I had to leave the store for never coming back to that location. in fact, my family and I are already planning to change the Spectrum service and sign into different providers.I found this, very unprofessional, inconsistent service, and not secured. Spectrum should be better than this and The name of the company should be represented much more carefully with the local stores.It is a shame that I have been refused to being served and returned from the store without any help.Mr. Javier was very rude and unpresentable yet unprofessional to handle the situation. He made a very negative impact on Spectrum culture!
Kidoney, one of the employees at this store was extremely rude and unprofessional. I am half deaf and there was someone with a name 1 syllable different from my own. Not hearing the difference i went up to get help. I was picking up equipment. He informed me since the account wasnt in my name i could not pick it up. He gave me attitude about the fact that i walked up and took the other ladies turn and when i apologized, he mocked me saying i wouldnt be able to get the situation i was in fixed. As he helped the other lady i was unable to fix on the app and i went to him asking for help where he mocked me more about the fact that he told me i wouldnt be able to on the app (instead of helping me solve the problem). I told him i had already apologized and that his attitude is uncalled for when he proceeded to laugh at me and say i wont get what i need today and said to have a nice day in a snarkey way. i called over the phone and became an authorized user and picked up the equipment from a different associate who was professional and nice.
Unreliable internet service. My neighborhood has grown in recent years and Spectrum refuses to scale up the infrastructure to meet demands. When you complain they send someone out who performs what I can only describe as a gimmick, a sideshow: They climb the pole in the backyard, wiggles some wires, change a filter or two, and call it fixed. Not fixed. The nodes need upgrading. The nodes are congested. Its not my modem, its not my wiring, its your old 1980s infrastructure and insufficient nodes. See attached image for example of what a basic ping to a Google server looks like. See all those time outs? This goes on all day, every day.
The tonality of the person at the help desk was very unprofessional. There is a certain element there. My wife had to re establish a new account because they refused to allow her to pick up our modem with my name on it. We have had them for 16+ years when they were brighthouse. Very odd customer service, obnoxious I was on the phone with my wife I observed a very condescending tone from the male at the front desk when saying her name. The person seemed to be more interested in saying how his vehicle he drives at 130mph... They know the name on file and still refused to allow her to pick up our new modem. Very long wait seemed intentional with nobody else in line.

Needed internet, got internet. Good service for a good price too. Though the salesman did try to sell me on a dozen other things too.
Spectrum CEO makes $98 million salary meanwhile customers deal with intermittent internet from outdated infrastructure. This company is the #1 worst at knowing where to invest their capital. Hundreds of millions spent on executives salaries, tens of millions spent on junk mail soliciting which goes to the landfill, millions spent on replacing perfectly fine modems and routers which simply go to e-waste, not to mention the wasted labor costs of sending techs out to pretend like they are fixing something, and the fuel for such trips. Waste, waste, waste is all this company does. If they really cared they woulds spend money on new infrastructure so that their honest hard working paying customers can get what they are paying for, which is a reliable internets.
They are always so nice and understanding. Every professional and helpful.
We are new in town and I found their sign in process adequate. However, we had a long wait (about 30 minutes) while waiting for an available sales agent. Just not enough salespeople.
I should have listened to my gut and drove 20+ minutes to another store. Worst customer service ever. All I was trying to do was pick up our equipment that we already paid for. Had to bring in my wife on her torn acl because they wouldnt let her add me to the account. Go anywhere else... literally anywhere.

It wasnt that great today it took me over an hour to just return an item. It must have been some training going on or something but that is not an excuse then when my turn came they called somebody else to just walked in the door I wasnt please.

So this review is more for Spectrum in general. I honestly had no issues for over 2 years. However I decided to cancel my cable and just keep WIFI and was told that my bill would only be $54 a month. A month later the bill comes out at $110.. I was only paying $124 for the bundle deal every month so basically I’m only saving $14 a month without cable instead of over $50. Even thought I was misquoted by over $600 for a year the best they told me they could do is give me $10 for a one time inconvenience(slap in the face). I just can’t believe a company as big as spectrum would lie to me to keep my business. I was about to switch to ATAT when I decided to get rid of cable and only stayed because I was told they could beat ATAT prices of $70 for internet and do it for $54. I just can’t believe in this day and age I was completely lied too by a business this big. I will never do business with Spectrum again which is disappointing because I would of probably kept them for the next 50 years if they didn’t practice such bad business. I would recommend anyone to get emails of there “quotes”. Because know they are saying they don’t have any “notes” of my conversation with the representative. Also on my spectrum app it showed my balance only being $54 a month and I had it set on auto pay and they ended up taking out the $110.

Cable is ridiculously high these days,..but we have to have it.....its not so much the tellers here....they are just doing their job...all they can do is what they are told, overall as a company Spectrum changed what Brighthouse was, different plans and rates that are not making customers happy, returned a DVR box here 2 times......bad equipment should not be given out......but they dont test them here......they just refurbish and send it back out,....waiting in a line for what seemed like hours, if you dont go early...expect to wait.......theres no need to get mad at the tellers, its not their fault, understaffed for sure........but something should definitely be done to make the process easier and the customers paying these high bills alot happier
Took my equipment back. Done with them. Paid my bill early April and still getting these emails...would not recommend...have a giant no solicitation sign by my front door, but one of their reps knocked anyway. They next gets the hose...fair warning
Waited for close to 45 minutes for a 5 minute interaction, literally was there to grab a self install kit and it took the better part of my afternoon.
They won’t send a tech out and they keep saying there’s nothing wrong. They have been out multiple times and never fixing the problem. And want to charge $150 each time.
My son was here to switch out his brand new router... Service was organized and friendly.

I have Spectrum Internet, mobile and cable. No issues with products. Spectrum stores do not have phone lines to reach their stores. Ive visited the store in West Melbourne. Of the six times I visited the wait for service has been thirty to forty five minutes. They are busy because they handle all services that Spectrum offers. There are certain issues they cannot address..but for the most part its worth the wait.

Again a month later tv programs stopped working again around 7:30 pm..just a big company have such bad equipment,remotes one of the worst,information on programs worst,the money they charge doesnt equal poor equipment and having to not have tv pictures especially after 6pm to 9 pm...

Just bought a house in Palm Bay. We set up an appointment on monday and was told a tech would be there Thursday, we were told the wiring was done and just needed to be connected outside. We received a drunk phone call from a technician asking us to reschedule Thursday. (Im not kidding he was hammered and had us talking to Spectrum through another phone on speaker) So, Friday night at 7 pm a different tech than the drunkard on the phone showed up and told us the drop wasnt done so we had to wait till Monday. Saturday morning we woke up to a guy in the yard with a trencher running the wire at 730 in the morning. no phone call, no knock on the door...... they suck
Im going to look into another cable company because Im not happy with the quality and cost of the cable tv options Im getting. If I want to watch new shows they want you to pay an extra $4.99 per channel for Discovery Plus!?! Are you kidding me!?!?!

BUYER BEWARE-I want to write a 0 STAR REVIEW because I have a 0 star review that will put this company to shame! Be careful what day you cancel service, because they changed the TOS last year and your now in a contract. i was charged for 28 days of service that i canceled. I have heard stories of many months of bills being charged; Many crazy stories and many lies. I have been lied to by the customer service rep who told me i was getting an upgrade, and i got no sympathy from the many reps i spoke to in the middle of the pandemic from a monopoly company who sees me as nothing more than $ signs and numbers :( .I have been robbed by this company, and i recommend them unsafe and as a predatory company. But thats just my 2 cents- nobody listens to me anyway

After speaking with 3 other people online via chat and over the phone trying to change my service over the past 3 months, I finally decided to go in store with much frustration. Brandon in Palm Bay was extremely friendly and funny, defused my anger and resolved my issues. If you can, go in store.

Representative had me check in, last time did not have to. Either do it or not. Told him I wanted a iPhone xr and explained how I wanted to do it. Representative went on and on about how he couldnt do that. I said ok, then he proceeds to tell me that they dont have any! Couldnt he have saved me a lot of time and told me that to start with?

If you like dealing with the bank, the post office or your insurance company, youll love dealing with Spectrum. Our router and modem died as a result of a recent electrical storm. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago. Twice now we have been lied to about replacements being mailed out to us. Youll be sorry!

Porting over an unlocked Pixel 3a XL that was using a virtual simm from Sprint and an AT&T iPhoneX went smoothly at the store. We walked out with both phones working with our old numbers.
Their website will allow you to make a reservation however the store will not honor it. The check-in even allows you to enter the confirmation code for your reservation however you will never show up on their screen. Everyone arriving after you will be moved in front of you and you will not be helped until you sign in without a reservation.
This internet service is by far the worst internet Ive ever used. Its constantly dropping service every single day. At least 5 times per day. I absolutely hate the service spectrum provides. Looking for a different provider

Beware of spectrum. They can not be trusted. They gave me a good deal to stay with them and I was told that it was going last indefinitely. Less than a year later price hike. Then I got different explanations from everyone I talked to. Time to cut the cord.
1 missed payment, 1! It wouldve been $175 missed. I was signed up for auto pay, and somehow the app kept sending the payment request through which kept resulting in bounce back fees. So guess what they charged me through auto pay today? $445!!! Are you freaking serious? I call and the CSR agent just wants to argue with me.

I called Spectrum today as I noticed my bill was increased. Signed a 2 year contract last October. Of course they have no record of that! Called customer service and was disconnected. How can companies like this survive? Customer service is key! They get zero stars. But that choice is not there.

Spectrum mobile is the cheapest phone plan you can get, assuming youre already a cable customer. Phone selection is limited so BYOD is a real attractive option. With so many Spectrum hotspots data usage isnt really an issue and the cheapest $14/mo plan does the job. Theres an app or widget or something to download so the phone will connect to any Spectrum WiFi hotspot within reach; apn settings arent really that important unless you need data while driving for maps or finding stores or something

I dont have their service but was there with a friend. The folks that work here are very good at customer service and are eager to help the customer get going again from simple equipment swaps to finding you their best deal available on service. You may have to sign in when you walk in the store like the old taking a number but they had several kiosk with employees to get through the busiest of times.
We have had nothing but trouble with cable. They come and nobody has a straight answere. Their service is horrible.

Very clean place. Our associate was extremely knowledgeable about their system as well as other phone systems. Three associates busy as heck by the time we.left. luckily we had arrived there in time to miss a big crowd. I have no doubt that each and every person got excellent service. I would recommend some little gadgets for kids to occupy their thirsty minds.
Scheduled maintenance but no warning ahead of time causing me a loss of income multiple times. When I ask to be reimbursed they give me the run-around, making up excuses. This company is utter, utter trash.

Spectrum will try to swindle you of as much money as they can. Do not, I repeat. Do not get internet from them. Do not accept any deals that they offer. Do not believe that it will be the same as the original price. Do not trust these people. Their customer service cannot get anything done. They will not fix anything. Somehow even after they fix something it will still be higher than the original price of a deal that was offered. They people are untrustworthy. Their customer support is condescending and they are liars. I repeat. Do not do anything with them.

Very very poor billing processes.My mother received a letter saying she had past due bill on her spectrum account. So she goes to the store to pay in person by check.It was pretty smooth. Got it paid and was given a receipt stating paid in full.She proceeds to pay other bills and purchased other items by check. Thinking it was paid. The spectrum bill electronically.It was not until 9 days later that an attempt was made by spectrum to post the payment.
The best customer service among all the others. No hidden fees what they said it will be per month. Unlike direct tv and ITT. They over ride contract and charge whatever they want. I would give them 20 *******************s.

I would have given 5 stars if the corporation would be more customer service oriented, ie if a customer picks up cable boxes, they should be told that they are going to have to contact customer service and have them programmed and sit have to wait on a technician to come back and do what should have been done when the customer was first there the first time, not 3 different appointments
Ive been here twice since it opened, not really wanting to go knowing what I was in for which is exactly what I got.But hey, maybe Im quick to judge. So I go in the first time just asking basic questions about upgrading my service. They cant help because they dont know the answers; tell me to call a support number. Which I do, and none of them can answer. I end up having to be contacted by high up in corporate to get resolutions and an apology for people not being trained properly. So they tell me swing by my store and pick something up and youre good.So I go the second time just to pick up what I needed to. All of a sudden, this store is experts in what I had questions about days earlier and the person at corporate doesnt know what theyre doing. They assure me everything will work out and that the person at corporate (and their whole call center!) will be properly trained on how the product works. Not sure by whom, since apparently no one at Spectrum knows whats actually right.The second theres a viable option for high speed internet in Brevard county Im dropping Spectrum. But, Spectrum is aware of that Im sure and will spend untold amounts of money to prevent a competitor to arrive.Update edit: just spoke with the contracted technician who is actually going to do the install and the store was completely wrong about what needs to be done, the person at corporate in fact knows what theyre talking about. Dont trust anything anyone at this location says unless they tell you the only honest thing they can: they dont know what theyre doing.
Worst experience EVER, wifi router keeps turning itself off or “resetting” Every time its in use. Everything on it flashes, then it shuts off then comes back on again; just to shortly turn itself off again. Waste of money and wish i could put zero stars if possible
Not much help .All they do is give equipment out and sometimes with no instruction in box. Your on your own after you get the equipment.
This was one of the smoothest experiences with an ISP. They had me in and out with all of my questions answered and my concerns addressed. Carlos was super knowledgeable and gave me some information that even I wasnt aware of. Ask for Carlos and youll have an awesome experience.
