These guys are amazing! My future son-in-law had everything set up for his perfect proposal, except he accidentally bought an engagement ring that was WAY too small. Other stores said we’d have to wait 1-2 weeks, but the jeweler at Gines went out of his way to help us, having it ready in just hours. He did a fantastic job and helped make it a perfect proposal for my daughter. We will always be grateful!!

My husbands wedding band was handed down from his father and in terrible condition. I took it in to SLC Diamonds. Aaron was about to replace the entire back band and size it up. I cant thank him enough. It is now gorgeous and might make it to another generation. THANK YOU!

I was referred to them to fix my moms old ring. The white gold had tarnished and was looking yellow and it was missing a diamond. They were able to find another diamond to match and restore it beautifully to brand new shiny white gold. I was so happy to have this ring fixed and Ill be able to pass it on to my daughter. I needed my wedding ring redone this summer and they outdid themselves. Salt Lake City Diamonds increased the structural integrity as well as updated the design to accommodate a larger stone in the center. It is gorgeous and their work is immaculate. You can trust them with anything!

Fantastic service, very prompt and kind. Said my necklace repair would take two days, got it done in one! And beautifully done, the chain on my necklace is extremely fine and you can’t even tell that it’s been soldered. Cleaned it all up when they were finished and it absolutely sparkles, even better than when it was brand new. Wonderful, if I lived in Salt Lake I’d be back here for sure.

I took 3 rings to Gines. One was missing a piece of Mother of Pearl. The other two needed some engraving done. Aaron took great care of me! The Mother of Pearl looks great as well as the engraving. The price was also very reasonable!

I was recommended by friends so I decided to give them my business. Must be new owners or whatever they are cause was instantly judged and not at all a good experience, didn’t have what I needed and will never go there again.

Don’t support these guys. Would give 0 stars if I could. The lady behind the counter was asked to put on a mask while helping a customer. She rudely refused to, and its people with an attitude like this why COVID-19 is still running out of control. Take your jewelry elsewhere.

I have gone to Audrey many time with an idea of a pendant or ring and she has taken the time to sit down with me and go through catalogs as well as create a unique setting for me from scratch. Then Arron or Martin both of which do an amazing job with fine detail will bring the piece together. Ive learned a thing or two from them because they talk to me and not at me and thats very important to me.

I’ve had such a pleasant experience with Gines Jewlers. They created a custom replica of my mother’s vintage wedding band using the original as their guide. It is gorgeous! They took a personal interest in my order and did a beautiful job. I appreciate the personal service that only an I dependent store can offer. I highly recommend them. They are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about their business.

What a great stop. Aaron and Audrey were so informative. I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to jewelry and they took their time to explain everything to me. Not pushy at all and willing to take extra time to make sure I understood everything that was involved. My husband got my ring from here almost 5 years ago and I love it. It was hand engraved on the sides and it looks beautiful. I have had stones fall out and they are more then happy to replace them and fix the ring for me and I can go get it cleaned whenever I want and have the prongs looked at and tightened if needed. I have always been greeted with a smile and helped right away. I hope to continue business with this company

New owners in the last year. Audrey and Aaron, do not trust them, they are dishonest. Someone at that store switched out my good quality sapphires for some very poor quality sapphires. I took my 3 stone necklace in for a clasp fix, and when I went back for the necklace. It was very noticeable that the stones had been switched. I picked these out of the dirt at Gem Mountain, and 1 of the stones was just a little lighter than the other 2. This always bothered me, but a miracle happen WOW miracle workers at Gines Jewelry had magically made them all the same color. They did not even bother to put them back in straight, they were all crooked. They must think their customers are real stupid. It is easy to see what happened here because Aaron is a faceter, but not an honest one. If they did this to me, how can anyone trust them at all. Pick a better place, any other store is going to be better then these guys.

I didnt know my girlfriends ring size, and wanted it to be a surprise, so they let me borrow a flashy ring that would be fun to propose with, and then I could return it later and exchange for the ring my fiance really wants. Then it doesnt matter much if it doesnt fit perfect. Great for a fun surprise. They can make custom design rings. This ring was unique, and I hadnt seen the same design before. My girlfriend liked it, so she got the same design in her size (after she said yes). The price was good too.

Very helpful, we needed a diamond set in a new ring, had NO idea what that entails. I talked to a bunch of different jewelers, and Gines was the best at showing us exactly what they can do, and did it at a MUCH cheaper price than anywhere else.

My family has purchased jewelry, and at times needed repairs, from Gines for many years and have always received the best customer service. My recent visit was exceptional as well when Audry and Aaron (I think) took time to listen and help. I took in two rings, my own wedding ring that I havent worn for years because it was too small; and a mens silver turquoise in need of repair. My ring looks beautiful and fits just right now--I forgot how much I loved it. And my dads ring is the only piece of jewelry he has left after his home recently burnt down and he lost most everything. They took great care of it and it looks great, they were more than reasonable and I was amazed at how they handled the whole thing. No other jewelry repair place I talked to would touch it. When I gave it to my dad at his home, now in a senior living center, he cried--I knew it meant alot to him, but I wanted Gines to know how much their service meant to him as well.

I lost a baby in April and they gave me a ring that the baby wore until we hurried him. The ring was wearing out and starting to not hold its shape. I took it to Gines he explained andthat the metal wouldnt hold up to a coating but said he could make me a new one out of gold. He gave me an estimate bawled all the way home because its the first time I had taken it off since my son was born sleeping. However, I felt confident in the jewler. He said it would be done the next day but then he called 4 hours later and it was ready. Not only are they effiecent, but I feel confident that they are honest and trustworthy and their work is amazing.

I went to Gines about five years ago to get my engagement/wedding ring resized, as it was too big. The gal at the desk convinced me to go one half size smaller than I wanted, and I still regret listening to her. However, they did a beautiful job on a ring I was told could not be sized. They also repaired a vintage ring for my mom at the same time and it came out equally gorgeous. I just wish I had argued to get the ring size I wanted, because now I hardly wear the ring, its just uncomfortable.

I requested some work done to a diamond. We drew picture and explained what we wanted done for our ring. In the end they messed up and did the exact opposite. The worst part was they never offered a solution, just a bill. I told them I wasnt satisfied, yet they didnt care. I must now pospone my engagement. Beware my friends, beware

He messed up my ring twice! It still doesnt look right. Its uneven there is discoloration in the white gold. Never go there. He doesnt know what he is doing. I even gave him a second chance!

My associations with this store have not been favorable. I feel that they are not honest in what they do.

Came here first to get a feeler on engagement rings, then went to other stores and still had to come back as they are cheaper and you get better quality plus a custom ring that no one else has.

I had a terrible experience at this place! The sells lady clearly does not work on commission because she had awful customer service. Not only did she manage to make me feel like I had bad taste in rings but made it very clear that what I wanted was not something I could find at her store. I will never refer anyone to this place!
