This is our second car we have taken here. These guys work their butts off, are so personable, will fit you in no matter what, and have credit for those things that come up unexpectedly. I highly recommend this place, they can beat those big box stores and have a better attitude.

I use these guys over at Hillside Tire in West Jordan all of the time and today was proof positive as to why. I recently took one of our work trucks into some place other than Hillside to have an air conditioning issue diagnosed. Four hours later, I was told that I needed to have our A/C compressor replaced. Cost to fix our issue? $1400! So I took our work truck over to Hillside in West Jordan. Terry, Mark, and Rick took care of me immediately and had our issue fixed within minutes at no charge! Cause of our issue? A/C belt just needed to be tightened! ....Thank you for your help; but most especially for your honesty and integrity guys!!!

Highly recommended!!! I have had some very negative experiences dealing with mechanics, but I have used Hillside in West Jordan for years and keep going back because I feel they can be trusted. This last weekend, my truck stopped in an intersection. I had the vehicle towed to Hillside/WJ and Mark told me they were quite busy, but they would work on it at first opportunity. He called back just a short while later and told me it would be done before the end of the day. Thank you Mark and thank you Hillside, for the dependable polite service and fair prices!

When you find a place to service your car you can trust you just cant keep it a secret. I buy my tires here, oil change, transmition service, brakes, headlights. When we woke up to a flat tire before our road trip they had the tire fixed in no time and we were on our way. The best part is they fixed the flat for free. Highly recommend this service shop. They give clear estimates and no pressure if you decided to wait or do it yourself.

What an amazing experience working with these guys. Mark went above and beyond what my expectations were. They took my 2014 stock ford put a leveling kit on it as well as new tires and rims. Price was very fare and for the work they did I feel like I underpaid. The guys in the shop, (didn’t get his name) but he was so friendly and explained exactly what they did. For a guy like me it shows what type of business these guys run. Honest ethical and they have forever gained my business. It’s not often you find a group of people running a business the way they do. They wouldnt do an alignment on my car and they wouldnt mount tires. I took my car to them with completely bran new suspension and they told me it was broken. They wouldnt mount my tires because they were old but had great tread when my tires are showing wire. Im disappointed in them as a auto place. Im a licensed auto mechanic

Zero stars I would say, it’s disappointing how I’ve gone here for years now knowing that, Mark and Terry lie about what’s really going on with you’re car. They wanted $1,270.00 for a $350 job. They lie, cheat, very dishonest and fraud you out of you’re money. Very disappointed in the company an the people who represent it.

My sister has had her car serviced here for the past 9 years and excitedly told me about them when I needed my oil changed. The staff is wonderful! Personable, friendly and fun! However, I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation on Saturday at 3pm and asked if they could call me when they finished and if they would leave the car outside since I had a spare set of keys. They agreed. I dropped by their shop at 6:20pm and saw my car locked in the shop. I was a bit surprised but I figured that they were pulling a late night so I planned on grabbing it on Sunday before my hike. No luck. I tried calling the number that they gave me and didn’t even get a voicemail.Anyway, come Monday at 4pm after missing my hike and finding an alternate way to work, I went to their office and tried to figure out where the communication line broke. They said that they were never told to call or leave it outside and that they would be in bigger trouble had they done so. They offered a free oil change which I politely declined since I cannot trust them. Both my sister and I are now looking for another mechanic shop. I truly am disappointed that this one did not work out.

Their head mechanic Dennis is the best ever! Hes honest and wont gouge you, plus has extensive experience. He worked on our class A diesel pusher, our work van and a classic corvette, and was consistently competent and very fair on all three. I wouldnt hesitate to take my vehicle here and, believe me when i say Ive had a lot of experience, mostly bad, with other shops here. Youll be happy you went to them!

I am so grateful I was able to get into THIS hillside tire in West Jordan and receive the outstanding customer service I did. My last experience somewhere else, was less than par. Months ago I spoke with Mark and that alone, gave me confidence to bring my vehicles to this location. Last week I talked to James, the assistant manager, and brought my car in and was so impressed with the customer service I was shown. I stopped in because I was close by and asked for who handles their reviews and talk about improving customer service. The guy behind the counter said “I won’t give you that information, we love our 1 star reviews and are happy with them”. He was rude and seems to not care If they get any new business. So there you go. My guess is the owner feels differently.

Arrived for 8 am appointment on time. After waiting 45 minutes (where no service was happening on my vehicle), I was told 2 things. First, I didnt have an appointment. Second, my scheduled appointment was for a tire consultation and not to actually get them replaced. So did I have an appointment or not? Get your story straight. I asked a simple question because I didnt understand something and was told If you are going to have a bad attitude I can just give you back your keys and you can leave. I didnt have a bad attitude before that but did once he said that to me. So I took my keys and I drove over to discount tire on 7000 S and Redwood Rd where they honor appointment times and helped me kindly within the first 3 minutes of coming in.

This is an excellent shop! I first went there with a flat on my new (to me- 1997 Toyota). The first week I bought my car from a large dealership, I had three flat tires! I was late to work each day, but with the help from Hillside, I was not overly late. They were really kind and helpful. Finally after three tire repairs I bought new Michelin tires!! Their prices were excellent, their service and help were way above average, and Im a very happy driver now! The tires were balanced to perfection and I felt now like I had a new car! Thanks so much - when needed, I will be back!

I had the absolute worst experience here. I will never take any of my cars here ever again!. I went there for them to put new weights on the new wheels that I just got. When I walked in I got treated with no respect and like I was dumb. When they finally got done putting the new weights on my wheels. I went out to my car to go see them after I paid. And where the previous weights were the workers scratched my wheels when they were trying to take off the previous weights and put deep scratches into my wheels and several different places on all four wheels. And did not bother to notify me about it or even try to remove the glue from the previous weights. When I confronted the manager about it the manager came outside. And was acting like I was lying. When you could clearly see the scratches were from them trying to remove the weights. The manager refused to give me a refund or even some money back. I will never go back there ever. And I will be sure to let my friends know and others know never to go here. Unless you feel like getting your new Wheels scratched. And them trying to avoid you knowing about it. Absolutely unprofessional.!

I came in for an oil change, and they said they would call me when it was finished. They never called and now Im waiting until Monday for my car and Im from Logan and I have to work super early. Terrible customer service!!

I will NEVER come to this incredibly unprofessional place again. I bring my car in to get repaired. I call for an update and they said it would be ready soon so I should come by. I get there and they said the mechanic did something wrong which then caused something worse for my car that they then needed to fix. They said it would be done in about an hour. I wait an hour and call for an update and they said it would be another hour. I do this two more times and they still arent done. This killed any and all important plans I had that day because I was waiting for them and they werent truthful about when the job would be done. I dont care how long it takes, just be honest with me about when it will be finished so I can plan my day accordingly! Thats all I ask for! They said they would take care of the price, but I come in and they give me a whopping 20% discount! 20% discount?! Unbelievable!! Way to show how important client retention means to you. They not only lost me as a customer, but I will go out of my way to tell everyone to stay away from this place!

Brought in my car for an oil change and to get a tail light replaced, they said it would take 45 minutes at most, took them 2 hours and later noticed they didn’t even change the tail light. A week later I found the skid plate wasn’t tightened properly after the oil change as was dragging on one side. Had heard good things and was excited about this place but was very disappointed with the service.

These guys have been great to me, they never try to up sell, they do exactly what I ask them to do. They also dont discriminate since Im a woman, and treat me equally. They use quality parts thatll last, and give me the best recommendations. I highly recommend this shop!

Hillside is great. They provide a quality, fast and affordable service. They are always honest and straight forward and never try tell sell you a service you dont need. We love to take our BMWs there because we receive dealer quality service at a fraction of the cost.

These guys are fantastic! I first heard from my best friend that a repair she needed was done super quickly and at almost half the price she was quoted elsewhere. I brought my vehicle in to get my intake tube replaced and they were finished with it in 20 minutes, again for much cheaper than I had been quoted. I went in today with a battery issue and the staff took care of my car in under an hour. Customer service is good, though some of the workers may come off a little gruff, and as a young female I wasnt treated like an idiot when being told about the issues involving my car. Id always recommend.

This place is a joke. Customer service skills are lacking. Staff is lazy and does the absolute minimum. This is the only place Ive ever had a tire replaced where they didnt put my spare back in place. Save yourself the trouble and go to the discount tire up the street.

This is a great shop. All the guys Ive worked with have been extremely professional, providing clear explanations about the work that needed to be done on the cars we have had serviced here. They might not be the cheapest place to get work done, but theyll get it done right and they will work with you to figure out a way to get the work done within a price you can manage.

This place is a fraud. They priced us for services we were looking into. Quoted us on brakes, tires and oil change. We didn’t like the price and told them no. They went ahead and still did an oil change and charged us! Frauds! If a customer doesn’t give you the green light to do work before you tell them the price- DONT DO IT AND THEN EXPECT PAY REGARDLESS!

Love this mechanic. Been going here religiously since I got my Century. Every oil change and every repair.They don’t try to upsell you a bunch of bull like most places I’ve gone. If you want an oil change? You’re getting an oil change. If they notice something wrong they’ll inform you, but never push. They give realistic timelines (had my ball bearings go out, was given a month of life for em. And about a month later when I had money to fix them, the bearings were on last legs). If you ever have questions, or if they see something unbelievable or extremely strange, they’ll let you come look at the car on the lift and show you exactly what happened (like a seized up brake with literally NO PAD in it that was supposed to be completely replaced by Les Schwab when I first got the car). And if you’re loyal, so are they. I’ve had a turn signal that keeps going out, and as long as I bring a part in, they’ve been amazing and replaced without a charge, and this latest time I asked if I could watch and they were fine with that and even showed me how to do it myself and why the light keeps going out (loose cu wrong clips) and told me exactly what I need and where to get it.I adore this place and have even more stories, but I think I’ll leave this here. But I’m never going to go anywhere else if I can help it. I’ll have to move out of state to not go here anymore.

I love Hillside. With mechanics I have a hard time trusting them, especially as a woman (call it sexist but this stuff exists), but I keep coming back here for a reason. A few years ago I came to buy new tires and have been coming back ever since whether it be for new tires, oil changes, etc. Mark and James are always so kind and they remember their customers, Ive seen it time and time again. Theyve been incredibly patient with me and my indecisiveness and all my questions. I had gotten a flat tire the day after I bought my car from a dealership in West Valley and instead of going to the dealership down the street, I had it towed here because I knew I would be taken care of. They are completely honest people who dont push anything on you. When they do suggest a service, they show you if possible and give you all your options. I will continue to go here as long as I live in Utah.

They are always fare and provide good service. Their prices are inline with other mechanics. This has been my go to place for all my vehicle maintenance and service for the past several years.

Honest. A lot of car repair places try to talk you into repairs you dont really need. These guys do not. They look over your car and tell you how it is. Sometimes they find something that is wearing out, but instead of just saying that you have to get it replaced they go over the options and give their honest opinion.

These guys are great. Literally quoted me hundreds less than Grease Monkeys did and got my car in and out in time for me to go on my trip. I will definitely only be taking my car there from now on. Awesome customer service, too.

I was stuck at work one day could not leave and dont get off till after hillside closes i work really close to the shop so they came and got my flat tire from me to fix it so I would be able to get home that night I honestly dont know what i would have done with out them thank you so much guys your the best and steve is always willing to go out of his way to help me I have been with hillside 5 years and would not trust my car to anyone else .

I walk into the office to get a quote for repair. Im told I can call you back with the quote later today. I dont have the vehicle at this time. Manager responds with can me with the VIN and well research it.Their lobby has 1 customer and 1 auto tech on a job at that moment.I save him that time and run to my car for the insurance card on the other vehicle and provide the vin.In the mean time, I drive to Firestone on 9000 south and redwood. They are totally full, theres not a seat available and there were no empty lifts. I take 10 minutes and the guy did all the research with me right there and gave a direct quote, knocked off $100 for me.Its been almost 3 days and I havent heard from good year. Guess hillside doesnt need the job.

No not honest. They will get you to sign up with the finance company they work with and push up your total of the automotive services to the exact amount your financed for. They was supposed to replace a ignition and the wire was not put om right. The mechanic cost is about 25.00 more than most automotive repair shops. Finally my radiator went out and i found a excellent mechanic he is not over price you pay what you should for the service he provides he is honest and does not blow smoke up your ass on what needs to be fixed. He replaced my radiator for 75.00 cheaper than hillside. I can do nothing but not trust hillside.

Great staff. I took my wifes car in to have a tire replaced, I ended up having to do all 4. I could stay with the car because I have to go to my sons baseball game. They brought the keys to the park so we could pick up her car on the way home.

At the end of September 2016, Hillside Tire performed the service of putting new tires on my vehicle. Subsequently, at the end of October 2016, there was a vehicular incident in which the right passenger tire literally flew off the vehicle, crossed lanes of traffic, and came to rest on the curb. The vehicle skidded on the metal portion of the remaining wheel assembly. Fortunately, the incident did not involve another vehicle or any other person.Sadly, the vehicle was being used and badly needed for income generation during a period of unemployment by driving for Lyft and Uber as a necessary means of supporting a family. As a result of the incident, I did not have my vehicle for almost a month and am still experiencing issues with being able to drive again. This resulted in loss of income and means to support my family.After thorough review, it has been found that the wheel flew off the vehicle because Hillside Tire improperly torqued the tires/wheels (either over torquing or under torquing them). Long story short, I took a lot of time and made repeated efforts to resolve this matter with them. Hillside Tire has denied all responsibility and refuses to resolve this matter despite not providing a single sensible reason why they should not be held responsible.My experience is very negative. Hillside Tire caused me and my family substantial injury and put us at risk with negligent service of installation of new tires. This has caused me lasting damage from which I have not been able to recover.

If you have difficulty affording the cost of repairs, they belittle you, and tell you that you shouldnt come here if you cant afford it (absolutely true story!) They never TELL you what the cost is, because they dont CALL you when they SAY they will! Not kind to people who arent wealthy. Never going back there again, and I will make sure that I tell everyone I know (and dont know), NOT to go there.

Watch out these guys are crooks! They will pull your car in the shop and come back and tell you it needs this, this, this and that. When really all you need is that. I highly recommend getting a second opinion! They told me I needed struts all the way around and when they wrote my ticket they took it upon themself to add springs in the mix. So they went from telling me I needed struts all the way around to needing strut and spring combo and a tranny flush. Long story short, I got a second opinion and I only needed struts in the front, no combo and no tranny flush and that is it.. They were charging $1,965. My second opinion. $600! GET A SECOND OPINION! They want ALL of your snap finance money!

I wouldnt suggest this place to anyone. I gave these guys a second chance after the overpriced/sub-par job they did on my tires a while back. I dropped my car off for an alignment and returned a few hours later to a freshly scraped bumper, due to it being parked over a curb. My mileage had also gone up considerably more than a normal alignment should have placed it. Upon walking in, I was informed my alignment could not be done because one of the wheel bearings was too loose. I was urged to get it fixed there, at a grossly over-quoted amount. I declined, and took my car to a place I trust to get it checked out a couple days later.The verdict: there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of my bearings.
