This is the 3rd time Ive had the pleasure of working with Baybrook Remodelers. The first was 20 years ago. Ken and his crew took my 1970s kitchen and turned it into a show place. About 10 years ago, we hired Baybrook Remodelers to renovate our out dated bathroom. When we sold that home two years ago...the people who made offers were crazy about our kitchen and our bath! They were both major selling points!. I recently purchased a condominium that had not been touched since the 70s. It had also been rented for the last ten years. To say it was a disaster would be an understatement. The Baybrook team helped me turn this space into my dream home!Major Points about Baybrook:They are ON TIME.They return calls/emails very quickly.The workers are quiet and neat and extremely respectful of neighbors.They stand by their work.I CANNOT recommend Ken Carney and his incredible team highly enough. I have used this company twice now in three years. What a great experience it has been. They have done everything from remodeling a dated kitchen, laying hardwood floors, remolded bathrooms, very professional interior painting, and now most recent, a complete pantry remodel. To include a 150 year old door! Every crazy idea my mind comes up with Brian Leverette just seems to make it happen. Highly recommend them. Had a water heater fail and our basement got flooded. Baybrook Remodelers came to the rescue fixed all the damage created by the water. The work was done professionally and in a timely fashion. We are very happy with the work they provided!! Our basement came out great!!!!L

(Baybrook) has performed excellent work with respect to our condominium unit in Harbour Landing, Our unit was completely rebuilt by Baybrook and we could not be happier. We have used Baybrook for three major projects so far in the past couple of years and have been quite pleased with their work.First project: master bathroom upgrade, they took out the tub and replaced it with a gorgeous walk-in shower, put in new flooring, a new toilet and painted.Second project: they turned a window in the back of the house into a door and added a staircase to the back yard.Third project: a beautiful new Trex porch and storm door on the front of the house.They also worked with us to keep everything within our budget. Definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future.

My house was destroyed in a tornado and my public adjuster recommended Baybrook Remodelers for the job. My insurance company only gave me 6 months to have the house rebuilt. I was so impressed that they finished rebuilding the house by the deadline! I was very happy with Baybrooks architect, Dan Haslegrave, and his ability to maximize the space inside a 782 square foot house. We now have an open concept kitchen/living room, a pantry, a larger bathroom, larger bedrooms, and much more closet space in both bedrooms in what used to be a small cottage barely enough for two people to live comfortably. Now the house feels like a cozy bed and breakfast! I was also impressed with the owner of the company, Ken Carney. He took charge of the project making sure that communication was clear among all of his workers. If anything needed to be fixed or re-done, Ken took full responsibility and made sure the job was done correctly. The contractors were always available for me to call anytime I had a question during this major project. I was able to reach Ken and his workers even on weekends! The quality of the materials are top notch and the house came with a 10 year warranty along with an electronic manual of all the details ( paint colors, siding choice, cabinet choice, etc...) we chose to refer to in the future if need be. I would highly recommend Baybrook Remodelers for any construction job!

I did a significant project with the crew at Baybrook. We installed new construction windows throughout the house along with replacing the front door. If you are not familiar, new construction windows on an existing house is a much more intensive undertaking compared to just mounting replacement windows in the old holes! We expected it to be a mess, and painful while undergoing the work. From the moment the crew set foot on the property they were nothing but professional and respectful. They did EVERYTHING right and were a true pleasure to work with. My wife would give me nothing but positive reports of the progress they made each day, and at the end of each day, they would clean up and it was hard to tell they were even there. Very tidy! We’ve been using Baybrook Remodelers in our homes for close to 20 years. The workers are always very professional and friendly. I feel completely comfortable having them in my home with myself and my 3 children. They first finished our entire basement, giving us a huge family room, spare bedroom with a full bath, a fitness room and a wine cellar. They did an amazing job. And more importantly they showed up when they said they would and completed the job on time. I’ve continued to call Ken, the owner, for many jobs since then. To our current home Baybrook has added a large family room, a garage with a mud room, laundry and powder room. The designer came up with a wonderful plan to fit our family of five. Unlike other contractors I’ve used, I can call Baybrook with a question or change of plan and I get a call back that day. They have come to the house to lay flooring, paint rooms and most recently, for a master suite remodel. We didn’t like our bathroom down the hall from our master bedroom. They came up with the perfect design to change the layout giving us a beautiful master bath and huge walk in closet. Baybrook does great work! They continue to demonstrate professionalism by being reliable and trustworthy!

We had a couple of trees fall on our house. After waiting two months for a contractor to come and being told several times he was ordering the materials for our house but never doing anything we called Baybrook.We were finally given a start date from Baybrook. They came when they said they would and did a wonderful job. From the carpenters to the roofers, they were both competent and polite. They cleaned up after themselves each day and were even careful not to damage the bushes and plants around the house. Thank you Baybrook for the great job!

Baybrook remodeled our old finished basement into an in law space for my elderly parents. The project was huge so there were some unforeseen complications but the finished product was well worth the wait. Baybrook owner and staff are extremely responsive. The workmanship was second to none. The space is amazing. Would highly recommend.

I dont use this business, but the reason I give them 1 star is cause a guy come in the 1-95 playing with the truck at 6:30am when a lot people running work.

I have a feeling all he negative reviews on here are from competitors making things up. We have used Baybrook twice on two large jobs. They are/try to be very attentive and professional. Here is the TRUTH:Sometimes they are too busy and will hire outside contractors to help.Sometimes those contractors can be less than great (plumber).THEY WILL ALWAYS CORRECT ANY ISSUES!They have many employees! Not just a guy hiring subs for the work.They honestly want to make you happy, they count on referrals.Their work is fantastic! And Ken stands behind every nail!We had minor issues, as most will, and he had people to our home almost immediately to address any concerns.Ken has come to my home several times to make sure I am satisfied with work.ALL contractors have issues and arent perfect, the measure is how they handle the imperfections, and Baybrook is great at that.I recommend these guys completely.

Just finished a major exterior renovation (insulation, painting, roofing and siding) of my home in the Westville neighborhood of New Haven. Years later, I have replaced the wood trim around every window they installed. They did not flash above the window, though it is a town code, they actually cut a piece of metal slid it in to look like flashing. Water damage on Every window. Original House is fine. Now the cedar siding on the garage is totally rotting away. again, no flashing above garage doors, water gets behind and sits there. I have had to caulk every year. Again the original House, caulking every few years, and no damage. Best part is they dont return calls until you have called many many times.. when it is fixed had to be fixed again, and again, too. Warning, in the long run their short cuts will cost you. Talk to people that had work done years ago, or actual work, not fake posts.

We undertook the remodeling, restructuring and renovation of a 1910 bungalow on the Shoreline with Baybrook. Our experience couldnt have been better, their staff couldnt have been more helpful, professional and co-operative. We are serial renovators and have done this before- working with Baybrook was by far the best experience of all. When unforeseen problems surfaced as they do when working on old houses, they provided excellent solutions at a reasonable price. I work in the interior design industry and was very particular about finishing details- Baybrooks carpenters had the patience and skill to recreate lost Craftsman style window trim and columns. Every day I am on the front porch neighbors walking by say how nice the house looks. Ken Carney and crew were incredibly kind and helpful during the process, going above and beyond what I had expected. I highly recommend working with them.

What a great company. Very responsive, competitive and high quality work.

Had a 6pm appointment. My husband rushed out of work. We arrive at the facility and no one was there. Several calls to the service,. Why?? Service couldnt get the guy to call us back. So, finally the service, who was just as frustrated, called the owner. His conversation with quick with us. Shortly after we received a call from the gentleman who was supposed to meet with us. He didnt remember even setting an appointment. Asked what he could do to make it up and offered an appointment for the weekend which is not good for us. But didnt give us any other options. So we had to take the day. Very disappointed and we havent even started working with them.

They showed up n time and delivered on all promises. Such a nice crew and neat. They cleaned up after they were done. Great Job!

After many years of thought and planning I decided the time had arrived to completely remodel my 1959 ranch house in Orange, CT. Knowing the project would involve all aspects of renovation (electric, plumbing, windows, siding, painting, kitchen/bath demolition, etc.) I knew a design/build team would be a smart investment. With all the decisions involved in the process the very best one I made was to select Baybrook Remodelers for the transformation of my home.Baybrook’s strength is the depth of service received from the initial consultation to the final creation. The advice and patience of Bill(salesman), Dan(design/estimator), and Maria(designer) was invaluable, they listened to all my questions, looked at all my inspiration photos (egads!), and then helped guide me through the details without pressure or judgement. There was some trepidation on my part as I would be living in the house with my two dogs during all the work, but my fears were unfounded. The project manager Pat came to the site every day to update me on the plan, always inquiring if there were any concerns or problems. The crew arrived on time every day and always made sure all was clean and safe before they departed. John (painter), Percy and Josh (carpenters), Gilson (demolition and more), Wonderson (tile artisan), and many others made each day a pleasure as I watched old become new!The entire project was completed on time even though some unexpected problems (rotted wood and joists) were encountered. All issues that arose were explained thoroughly and addressed immediately.Baybrook has been given my permission to phone me or see my home if you need further reassurance. Cannot give zero stars so I guess its a 1. Worst contractors ever. Installed Sheetrock before installing light fixtures so had to cut holes in walls and ceiling and patch. Installed bathroom cabinet wrong then cut new Sheetrock to fix then had to move them again because sink hardware wasnt taken into account so doors couldnt be opened. I could go on. There really isnt a company. Just two guys who really dont give a crap and hire outside people to do the work. Wont take phone calls when theres a problem or question that needs addressing. All contact is through email! I wouldnt hire them to change a lightbulb. I question the validity of the positive reviews. Probably written by their staff.

Took over four months for a simple wall patch. im afraid to post this, as a friend told me they will sue me. go ahead, baybrook, i have copies of all the e-mails/phone calls between us.

Aunt in CT tried Baybrook but they never returned phone calls after a week she got someone else. Unprofessional. I tried to warn her about their history of threatening to sue dissatisfied clients but thankfully she had already given up on them.

Sues everyone that writes bad reviews.They threaten people and they services are generally bad.Stay away from this awful company!
