This was the best pedicure of my life! The whole experience was really outstanding. The atmosphere was peaceful, so clean, and really, really fun. Lany went above and beyond in pampering my girlfriends and I... Im 39 weeks pregnant and she picked out the perfect massage on the chair for me, got a heating pad for my back, and really made my feet look and feel beautiful, which is saying a lot since I havent been able to reach them for a few months 😁. They also offer a great nail polish that is free from harsh chemicals like formaldehyde, so the salon even smelled great! I am so pleased and will be back! I have found my go-to salon. Thanks, Lany!

I have never had such a relaxing pedicure in my life! The atmosphere and service was so relaxing with the music, water sounds, massage chair, cleanliness, and all the little details to my pedicure. Lany and her staff really know how to pamper others! The drive was worth it for sure! Already planning on who I will share this little hidden treasure with for my next experience 🙂 Oh almost forgot .... the pricing for my experience was beyond reasonable!

Had a lovely pedicure yesterday! Was a bit nervous going due to the pandemic, however I was very well taken care of. I was the only person receiving a service in the whole salon, so I felt very comfortable and even special! The woman taking care of me was very nice and had a warm personality. She did a fantastic job taking care of me. This is my new pedicure spot!

I took my daughter and 3 of her friends for manicures and pedicures for her 12th Birthday. I must say Lany was so kind and soWonderful. She took our temps and had us sanitize our hands. She explained to the girls. Every step she was very sweet and the girls had a great time. Highly recommend this wonderful spa. Thank you to the staff and to Lany.

Im from out of town and my sister and I decided to go here to have the executive pedicure. The salon is beautifully decorated and all the products they use for our pedicures were natural and smell amazing. The massage chair was such a treat and the warm pack for the neck and the lower back was so comforting. We love the massage with the stones and we love the nail color that we chose. I got shellac and my sister got regular polish and were both very happy with the service and the staff. Everyone was really nice :-)

Best pedicure I’ve ever gotten! They offered beverages (including wine!) which was really nice and they were meticulous in their work. They did a paraffin wax treatment and also had warm neck pillows. I almost fell asleep because I was so relaxed! I live in Bristol but I’ll definitely be driving the distance because it’s so worth it!

I loved it here! Out of all the nail places Ive been to, ThuLan has the most relaxing atmosphere. And when the color I chose still wasnt covering completely after two coats, instead of just leaving it at two, she took the extra time to do three coats for me. I originally came to ThuLan because my boyfriend got me a Groupon for Christmas, but now Im definitely going to be a returning customer!

I arrive exactly at 9am, without an appointment because they take walk in’s. A lady who barley spoke English did not even greet me, but stated they cannot do my nails. I asked if I could wait, as there was no one else waiting and she said no because of three appointments ahead of me. However, I spoke to the owner and she apologize on behalf of her staff and offered to give me an appointment for 11am with 15% off, but I declined. The owner has better business ethics than her staff.

I was looking for a nail salon through yep who could provide me with a a full package including eyebrow tints. The owner reached out to me, I told her everything that I wanted she quoted me a price I booked my appointment; she then told me that because I were having a lot done the eyebrow tint would be complementary. The service was very professional, the atmosphere was relaxing, they even give you refreshing fruit water. This is my new nail salon (5) 👍🏾

The nail technicians took their time and actually cared about my pedicure. Never had a pedicure as good as this before. I cannot stress the importance of cleanliness and this place was excellent. My friend and I cannot wait to go back

Finally. This is only place around here thats ever going to touch my nails. Its more expensive than others, but you get every dime you pay for back in great skills and service. The dip job I had there was easily the best one I ever got. Its also the most relaxing nail salon Ive been to. It smells so fresh and clear because the owner, Lani, doesnt do acrylics or anything else with unnecessary fumes. She doesnt use any products with formaldehyde, either. Did I mention that shes a sweetheart?I was worried Id have trouble finding a good nail place in Hartford; now Im worried I wont find anything this good when I move back home next year.

I absolutely love this place. Environment is very welcoming and the staff are very meticulous and detailed oriented. Even though it is pricey it is totally worth it. You get what you pay for.

I was a client for 6 years. I recently got my nails done and paid a good amount for them. One nail broke off and Thulan fixed it. Another nail broke off and I called her. Her response? I am with a customer...I told you the nail was too long and they break off... Not once did she tell me it was too long while I was getting my nails done. She even did the designs on my nails. She told me AFTER the nail broke off that the nail was too long. When the second nail came off she did not call me back. I ended up having to take all my nails off. This is poor treatment of a client and very disappointed in the owner.

My fiance has been going to this place for a while now and she finally got me to go to get my eyebrows done. Lany is super sweet and nice. She was very sweet the first time I went there, and she made the experience of getting my eyebrows waxed as comfortable as possible. she even gave me a lollipop after! We have been going there for a few months now and she knows us by name and treats us like family. This place is awesome and I would recommend it to any guy weary of getting there eyebrows waxed.

My go-to salon. They do great work and if you find something you don’t like, they fix it right away! I have gotten manicures and pedicures. Both have been great and relaxing.

Horrible! Asked for sns nails which suppose to feel natural and smooth. Nails not even. SomeFeel thin. Other feel thick. Can see white fake nail lines. She did it too fast like she was in hurry. Im the only customer in that place, why hurry?! 4.6 stars?! Really? I strongly recommend not go there! Not a happy customer here.

I came in today after a disastrous visit at another nail salon. My nails were thick and uneven, the powder dip technique was done incorrectly and the colors (it was supposed to be ombre) did not look right. When I arrived I was greeted professionally and warmly. The nail tech, which happens to be the owner, listened and analyzed my problem. She came up with a solution and I tell you, my nails look FANTASTIC! I am definitely coming back.

I had such a great experience here. As soon as I walked in with my mother they greeted as if we were long time customers. We called 15 mins ahead to see if they were available and they took us in and had our pedicure baths ready for us. They gave us complimentary wine and heating pads for around our necks. They used a sugar scrub with lemon grass for our leg massages and on top of that they not o ly used hot towels but hot rocks that felt AMAZING in those hard to reach areas around your ankles and bottom of your feet. They had calm music playing and thwy allowed you to relax without disrupting your peace. If I could I would give this place 10 stars! Its is a little pricey but well worth it!! Keep it up ladies

I love the SNS nail option. They do not chip or peel. They give your nails a nice glossy finish, plus it is infused with vitamins. Cant go wrong!

I chipped one nail that was previously done at a different salon (it was SNS). I went to a salon that was closer to my home to try and get it fixed and they dismissed me saying they couldn’t match it! So I went a little farther down the street to ThuLan Nail Retreat and was welcomed in and treated like any other customer getting a full manicure! They tried very hard to match my color with SNS but instead went with an SNS base and topped it with gel polish. The end result was amazing and they even put an extra top coat on my other nails to match the perfection of the nail they fixed! Their attention to detail and customer service was so amazing! They just gained a new customer! Highly recommend!

Too expensive!My nails turned out terrible!It literally looks like my child painted my nails, after they dried their were cracks and chips everywhere from the nails polish that night.

I have gone to this place to do manicure and pedicure, after a friends recommendation. This was the sloppiest manicure/pedicure combined treatment I had in my life. The nail polish peeled after a day and my calluses were not removed at all, but they charged for full service. DO NOT GO THERE!

I did the organic SNS nails. These are awesome for your nails and look beyond fabulous. They are one of only 3 salons in CT to do the SNS nails. I love how they help your nails grow and look natural!!!! Thank you for the great pedicure too. I drive 45 minutes just to go here and get the SNS nails done.

Thulan Nail Retreat is a gorgeous and relaxing oasis that will take you away from the stressors of everyday life while the professional and warm staff pamper you. Theres a reason Ive been coming here for as long as its been open, and have been seeing Lany, the amazing owner, for years before that. Thulan Nail Retreat is a truly special place.Lany does the best eyebrow and upper lip wax Ive ever experienced. So good that when I moved to the shoreline an hour away I still came to see her every two weeks. She and her staff provide the most incredible manicure and pedicures as well. They can even do intricate and beautiful nail art.Upon arrival, you will be offered a beverage, and if you are getting your nails done, asked to pick a color from the wide array of dazzling nail colors in top brands like Essie, Zoya, and even luxury brands like Chanel. The wall of nail polish is nicely arranged by color which is aesthetically appealing and makes it easy to find a color even with so much choices. Regular polish is available but gel and shellac are options as well.None of the nail polishes have formeldahyde (which is found in certain popular brands of polishes) and one thing I love about this place is there is a strong commitment to using only the highest quality, non-toxic, ingredients. The Zoya brand is vegan. The wax used is soy based.Aside from the two services mentioned, there are many other services. In my opinion, there is no reason to go anywhere else. Thulan Nail Retreat is simply the best.
