Waiting on my emissions to get done now. I was told 30 minutes or less when I walked in and I’m going on about an hour until someone even looked at my car.Not the end of the world but I would have appreciated a more honest wait time on arrival. I have a lot to get done this afternoon and would have come back another day if I had been told it was going to take this long. I’m also starving and would have grabbed food if I had known how long it was going to take.Also, they are not abiding by the local COVID regulations. Staff and customers unmasked in a 20x20 ft space.

The flange on the exhaust broke, they were able to weld it rather than replace that section. Fast, prompt service, professional and helpful staff.

This place is always so kind and on time. Sonia is always there for when you need. Always knows the clients and is always super super NICE. Jose is also another wonderful employee. Always there to answer questions and help with anything you need. The jobs are always done right and in a timely fashion. Highly recommend this place to anyone needing work done on their car ❤️

Excellent customer service . Great staff really know what going on with your car. Highly recommend including during covid . Give you estimates and review the complaint given about you car before taking it in. Give you a option for easy pay if you dont have the money they take a certain amount out weekly bi weekly. Best place to come for your car very knowledgeable.

This business is not thorough enough. I paid for a full diagnostic/check + power steering maintenance. The mechanic didn’t check my tires and a few days after I got a flat due to low air. If they checked everything like I asked, it could’ve possibly been caught. After the power steering work, my car is making a labored noise when in reverse and parked when it wasn’t before. They do not listen when you’re explaining what’s going on with the car you drive daily. I do not recommend.

Frustrated... I went to Midas to avoid getting my whole exhaust system replaced... it’s like $1500. So I went to Midas and they said they’d weld it together for me. Fast forward 4 months, my check engine light comes on so I take it to my regular mechanic. Guess what they said! I need a whole new exhaust system. So, thanks for nothing Midas.

Worst service, by far! Went in to have brakes fixed and truck is worst now than it was before and nobody is available to help resolve the issue. Lots of money to create more problems..

Tiny parking lot thats impossible to maneuver with customers/staff parking cars out front, boxing people in and blocking driveway. Cramped waiting area. This place should not exist where it is. Did not get any service from them due to miscommunication on staffs end. I really hope i never have to come back here.

Arrived 1hr. Before closing without appointment and I was immediately attended... 10 mins later the car was brought in a bay and serviced ..Still Im amazed at how fast and efficient the entire staff responded. Thank youIll be back

Got my emissions testing done. I had to wait a while, it’s walk-ins only and $20 cash only. But because of covid they asked me to wait in my car which was good. The receptionist wasn’t super personable or respectful. But all in all easy to get done and not terribly long to wait.

Just wanted to say a big Thank You!!!! to Sonia for helping me out with my car. Finding the issue pretty quickly and not that bad of a wait time. I mean your going to have to wait but I thought it was faster than expected.

Last time I gave a review I gave them 5 stars. I am here today to revoke that 5 star rating and give 1 star. After leaving midas from getting my full synthetic oil change, 2 weeks later I realized they didnt put the oil cap to my engine back on and oil spilled all over my engine bay and almost caused my engine to explode and ruined my alternator. I will never do business with them again considering I cant prove that they caused all this damage to my car. I have advised all my friends and family to never consider midas as an option for car service! Never again!

They say they top off all essential things such as windshield wiper fluid & coolant but they really don’t. Legit every time I went they never filled my stuff up but lied and said they did. Whoever did my last oil change at the place didn’t put my cap on correctly so all my oil was leaking. That was my last time going & I will never go back. I will take a lil longer drive just for them to never “touch” my car again.

The service is fine- went for an emissions test, but this absolutely NOT a safe place to be during COVID. They do not space out the waiting area seats, the employees in the garage are not wearing masks or doing so properly (below the nose) and many of the people in the waiting room are wearing masks below their noses and there was a guy sitting inches from me doing that so they do not monitor the safety of their waiting rom at alll Since this is incredibly unsafe, I waited outside in the rain. Also my car was waiting for 10 minutes and no one told me it was ready until I was standing in the rain and one of the mechanics happened to notice I was the one who brought that vehicle in.

All my cars from foriegn to honda have been taken car of in a timely manner except aligning my window 1 time on my 95 honda

Made an appointment over the phone but wasnt in the system when I got there. Information that I got over the phone seemed to be different from what I was told in store.Their sidewalk wasnt cleared of snow so we had to walk into the street to get nextdoor to grab a bite to eat. It was an all around annoying experience.

I’ve had some work done here and it was decent work, but I just had some new tires put on...if. Warranty on tires so decided to go back to them, but when I picked up the truck, the battery was dead. Also, one of the tires had an air pressure of 75 psi and the others in the 40s. How do you pump a tire up to 75 psi on purpose? It’s the attention to detail that will earn your a 5 star and in this case seems like they weren’t 100% attentive and will lose my trust to come back!

I loved this place! I happened to be in the area (due to moving to the Northeast Corner) and called them a little over an hour until they were to close to see if they could fix my brakes. They took me, even though it was so close, and it was a good thing they did! My brakes were almost gone completely! They finished fixing it just 5 minutes after closing, were hospitable and friendly the entire time, and then took the time to call the credit card company when the card didnt work the first time (it was an old card, oops!). I would recommend this place to anyone!!

First, the staff are friendly. Just want to be fair to say that. However, they are not worried about paying attention to their jobs. They are on their personal cell phones. Im talking the guy who came to get the car from the parking lot to do an oil change was on the phone while attempting to talk to me about the vehicle. The guy inside, was sitting in the back playing a game on his phone. I had to ask him to come take my info to get the car done. He then called his wife on speaker to continue playing the game and coaching her how to play while she was screaming and yelling obscenities on the phone. A customer came in and the guy continued with his call and took care of him while the wife remained on the line talking loudly about the game. He never stopped playing his video game which was loud shooting that could be heard throughout the shop as Im waiting for my car. The floor is kind of dirty and the bathroom is gross. Dont foresee myself coming here again. I would strongly suggest that the owner spend some time here to get things going in a professional manner.

DO NOT GO TO MIDAS ON NEW BRITAIN AVE.My friend went to Midas for a oil change & 7days later the engine locked because they never put back the oil cap & all the oil poured out & refuses to fix it! They towed it to their shop to take a look & refused to tow it back to her house until the police made them.My other friend went to get their brakes changed and they ended up locking his caliber. How in the world!?!? & they refuse to take ownership for anything! They are rude and disrespectful! Never go here!

I went to get a car problem fixed. They supposedly diagnosed the problem, told me what the problem was, I agreed to pay for the problem to get fixed.. They finished in about 4 hours, gave me the keys, I get on the highway and problem is still their if not worse.I called store and tell them the problem is still their, they told me to come back immediately. I come back to a shop manager yelling at me telling me that I did not pay to fix the problem and that Im lying and putting words in his mouth about the whole ordeal.They diagnosed the problem, told me it was something specific, I paid for that specific something to get fixed, and it DID NOT fix the issue. I come back immediately and now they are telling me the issue is something else and that Im a liar .I was treated immediately like I was wrong . I DO NOT appreciate being yelled at by the shop manager in front of other customers at that, I do not appreciate being called a liar, I do not appreciate not being able to finish a sentence when Im speaking calmly and explaining things reasonably with the receipt in hand as proof.I spent over $1000 last week at this very same shop, and that was my first time their. Spent $381 today and got completely scammed. I was ignored by the shop manager for about 30 minutes when I came back the second time, shop personal had me running back an forth to go find other shop personal on the working floor(are people even allowed inside the garage work area?) . Very unprofessional place! I cannot trust bringing my car their again after todays affairs. I strongly recommend against this location and I will not be going to any midas location after this.

Went to get my Emissions testing completed. Not only did I have to listen to a You know how women are.. discussion involving an employee and customers (misogyny is not good for business...fyi), this employee along with a customer in the waiting room had no masks in sight.

I went there on Saturday to have my upper radiator hose and overflow tube fixed and the guys there were just as friendly as they could be. They didnt take long at all to complete the work, I was in and out... I was very satisfied!!!

I had a terrible experience at this location. My first time actually going to Midas. I called and asked if there were any availability for a ac refill and estimate. Man told me $149 and 11:30 appt, 30 mins. I showed up 11:10, want waited inside. First off, all of the inside employees did NOT have masks on. Second there’s a sign that says “no hand shaking”, while buddies and worked by the first name of A, were coming in and everyone was bare hands shaking, no washing hands, and I mention again NO MASKs. Now, I said I have an appt and he says the ac refill is $180. I said No, I just called, and the man said 149. His response was “ok got you”. Meanwhile sitting there the manager Jose was babbling on his cell phone the entire time where everyone can hear the personal conversation. Very unprofessional. Now at 12:02 given time on my receipt I was charged $159.08, and was told you’re almost done. At 12:30 the man comes in and says “Your ac compressor is no good”. I said what do you mean? “It’s old and needs to be changed”. Funny because I JUST left my mechanic to change the ac compressor brand new and needed a refill. I told them it’s new, and just installed a few hours ago. He said “the clutch isn’t engaging”, and that if I wanted they can change it and give me a deal on the refill. I said no I want my money back. Then the argument began if I should get my money back. I said it’s been over an hour, if you didn’t do anything I want my money back. After some rude interactions I received my money back @12:40:49. THEN a was told to wait to get my ac draining from the dye. At 1:33 I was given my car back, and left with nothing being done but time wasted. Following Thursday I went to another locate company non Midas (Vavoline), and explained my experience, and what was done, well Not done...20 mins later I left with a refilled ac and no complications of any short. Also got a discount for 20% off.Not sure if I was discriminated against for being a woman and alone to do car work. But, I will never return back for any car work. This just confirmed the stereo type, that a woman gets conned into buying unnecessary things with mechanics. I’m very disappointed in my experience, and will not return. Thank you for at least giving me a refund.

These guys are absolutely awesome. I needed an emissions test and am new to the area and didnt know where to go. I called and talked to Casey who was very friendly and helpful. I went in and they immediately got started. They had finished with my car within ten minutes. They have gained a customer for life from me. Cant thank them enough for being so helpful and so friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone and will be back whenever I need something done for my car!!

I been coming to this midas for last couple yrs with different cars but with different employees things just got slow..i waited the last time 45 mins for a simple oil change that was SCHEDULED than i went again scheduled a appointment and waited for about 90 mins..it was good here but im bringing my services somewhere else..losing me wont hurt your business but at i least you wont get my money anymore..i paid $74 for oil change i think i was getting ripped off anyways

I brought my lexus in for a oil change they try to sell me part that I already replace couple week ago. Supervisor always on his phone talking to his wife.

Just came from there and am very pleased. They invited me to come right in and they were able to fix my 20 year old cars muffler problem easily, actually finding a creative solution to make things fit. I expected a much higher repair bill than I got.The woman who was managing the store was friendly and very straightforward.I will go back for sure.

I took them as my regular service for quite a while when I moved nearby. I dont know much about cars so sometimes the only thing I can do is follow their suggestions to change this or that with a high cost. Of course there might be indeed a problem which does cost that much, but I just have such a strong feeling that something is not right. Almost every time I do oil change they will diagnose some serious problems and ask me to change. I change my oil regularly and usually only every 4-5 month for the most and I only drive

One of the most dishonest garages. Even if theyre not busy, they waste so much of the customers time, to make them so sick and tired that they feel they have no choice but to shop around. Very dishonest store. They make a lot of money off of these parts. For example they ordered for me a lower control arm that costs $78 at other stores like Napa. However, they sold it to me for $250. A muffler that any other store would have sold me for $170, these guys sold it for $400. After spending $800 changing the muffler and pipes, the noise coming from the muffler did not go away and I returned to their store multiple times. They gave me a very vague answer, with a lot of probablys, along with an estimate of a couple hundred dollars more. Very strange attitude after them taking your business, and you returning to them. After asking to speak with the manger, I realized that I can never trust this business again. This guy was so rude and unprofessional, coupled with a strangeness. Again, the noise never went away from my muffler and its been a couple months. Do NOT go to this sad excuse of a business.

I talked to Casey about a catback I needed done, he told me to bring it in and he’ll see what he can do. The guys jumped on it quick got it done and now my car sounds amazing. Overall a pretty good experience.

Unprofessional, don’t waste your time!! I took it there for an emissions test. The guy told me get it in by 2pm because the technician goes to lunch. Got there around 1:30p they brought the car in right away. Not even 10 mins later they finished and told me it failed because I might of disconnect the battery. (Which I know I didn’t) I think they just wanted me out the door for they could eat lunch because that same day I took it to east Hartford on Tolland street for a re-test, & it passed with flying colors!

Complete Garbo, the customer service was bad they mainly talked on the phone with friends. Second they do the initial repair very fast so I believe there is some problems still. Also and lastly the workers are very reckless and smoke as well as use other drugs while working on the vehicle.

I got my emissions done here. I showed up and there was no wait. The crew was helpful and pleasant. I waited about 20 minutes for it to be done. Typical car shop with a few seats and magazines.

I went in for an emissions test and they were great and I was in and out in no time at all! I had my 4 year old with me and they were very friendly with her, giving her candy! I would recommend this place to all my friends. The customer service was amazing!!

I went to this Midas after having an an amazing experience at another Midas in a different town. My car went through a rough patch, and Jack went out of his way to make sure I got back on the road in one piece.Ive received a similar level of service every time I have gone back.

This is the worst place ever! Total rip-off. The mechanics are so inexperienced that they install the parts the wrong way to then say the vehicle has another problem, to charge you on top of what you already paid initially. I never take time to do reviews but I think what this place is doing is so abusive that I had to let other people know before they waste their time/money here. Thanks guys keep doing the worst job you can do. I do not wish to be contacted by this business to try to fix anything; I just want to let people know how they operate.

Once again, after requested to have the tires rotate with the oil change, It was not done. So,, that means that the brakes were not checked. Few minutes later they told me that the car was ready. I mentioned that the tires were not rotated as requested. At that time they brought the car inside and completed the work.

Back in October, on the way home from my college reunion at the University of Hartford, I had a problem with one of my wheels- huge banging sound? Even though I arrived at Midas right before closing, the staff still took my car in. They looked at the wheel and discovered a rock stuck in the hubcap which was causing the sound and removed it. There was no charge. I will come back to this facility any time I have auto related issues if traveling in the Hartford area! Thanks!

Called ahead for emissions testing right before I arrived. They said the wait would be about 10 minute. The sales guy was polite on the phone.Rolled in for a walk-in appointment. Recently broke my heel so Im on a rolling scooter. There is no way their store entrance is ADA compliant, the wheelchair ramp was more of a step.Lobby is a bit hot, could help to have some A/CFriendly sales guy, but took almost 30 minutes from when I dropped my keys off.I dont recommend this place, but if youre fine with waiting then itll do.3 stars for the longer wait and wheelchair ramp/lack there of.

Worst customer service ever. I have never posted a review for anything but I have to because I read reviews here and went to the shop.I just came back from the shop without getting my oil change even though I made an appointment for that. I waited there for one hour for an oil change. I couldnt really wait longer so I asked the manager (or owner perhaps) when my car get oil changed. Then, he said some will do it soon. He was just RUDE and said he was busy with fixing some other cars. Ok... there were so many people taken care of who came after me and he was saying like I am the problem, WHY do you make an appointment first then?I will never go there again. I hate RUDE and impolite people, especially when I am a customer who spends money for the service.

I love this Midas I recently brought in my Rogue for an exhaust inspection and they hooked it up! Had had an annoying heat shield rattle and Corey made sure that that noise disappeared I definitely will continue getting my car serviced there!
