Came in wanting to look at a few birds and left with so much knowledge about different types and how to handle. It was amazing how friendly the volunteers were and seeing how they interact with the birds. I hope I can someday provide a home to one of their birds.
Very knowledgeable and kind hearted people here! I had an unexpected and sudden adoption myself and they were so helpful in helping my new friend get a good start and helping to answer so many questions for me. I do not recommend a quick adoption like that but in this case it was a rescue who needed a new home now. And the people here where a genuine life line for us.
We brought our parrot in to be adoptive. We met Candi ( think thats her name) at the center. Walked in and saw all these beautiful parrots and how healthy they were. She got Baxters cage ready and was so very on top of transporting him from the carrier to the cage. Very caring gal..and I mean..VERY CARING! Cages and building was clean!! When it was time to leave my pretty boy, I broke down and cried and Candi was so sympathic and so sweet. I just KNOW my boy is in excellent hands. Thank you CAARE for what you do!~ Vicki
Great people, very knowledgeable. We adopted our Green Cheek Conure. We will be a life long customer.
I apologize and for that will remove my email.Ive read through and see the work your place does and anyone who loves birds the way I do deserves 5 stars.Sincere apologies
The 2 person board needs to be abolished and rules need to be put forth that the new members will abides by. The board members just kind of do what they want and then make up some b.s. I had asked Lois a question about preening, she didnt say a word, picked up the bird and started preening him as she walked away and ignored me. The only good ones at this place is Chris, very help full and knowledgeable.
Knowledgeable staff that work tirelessly to help the amazing parrots. The store has a great selection of bird toys, perches, food, and treats. They are my go-to stop for routine bird items
I love C.A.A.R.E.! Such an amazing community to help educate! I currently have an African Grey named Carlos. We will go to care to pick up fun new toys, food and get to visit a few other fun birds looking for a new home! I highly encourage anyone wanting a bird to do your research and I highly recommend checking out C.A.A.R.E. for all of your birdies needs! They have cages, stands, toys, food, they do adoptions and will also take in any birds that need a new home!
I LOVE this place! They are all so friendly and helpful there. Please adopt, dont shop!
CAARE really exceeded my expectations in every way, from both a customer and volunteer perspective. Every parrot is treated with the upmost care and fed the appropriate diet needed depending on their species and size. Water is regularly changed, and cages are also regularly cleaned and always look very presentable. The leadership board are all very nice and easy to get along with. They will communicate with their customers and regular visitors as often as they are able, and always have fun stories to share of their own bird experiences. I took my young green cheek in for a nail clipping and a cockatiel for wing and nail trim. Lois treated both birds delicately and handled them very well. All the other volunteers I had the pleasure of meeting are very knowledgeable and have a lot of experience with birds and specific parrots currently up for adoption. They have also helped give me a new understanding of how to approach and work with parrots for increased success. Karen and Candi handle birds very delicately. Karen and Candi are both very articulate individuals and are always willing to share their experiences with visitors. Janelle is also very helpful and pleasant to be around.I was excited to start volunteering and try to visit the center whenever I can. I feel my knowledge of birds can only improve. I am eager to continue working with CAARE to further my experience and handling of parrots for years to come.In conclusion, everyone at CAARE truly cares about the experience of their customers and wants to make sure they have the best environment possible for their adoptable parrots. CAARE also does everything in their power to ensure each bird is given the best forever home possible which fits the parrot’s needs.I cannot recommend CAARE enough!
Love the care given to take care of these sweet birds.

Very caring ppl
I am a member and patron of CAARE, having adopted 4 birds from them. The volunteers at CAARE really do care about the birds and the families that are considering adopting. Adopting a parrot is a big responsibility and CAARE is there to answer your questions, provide you with reasonably priced toys, perches & cages, as well as the birds themselves. They are a great source of advice for the beginner and I cannot recommend them strongly enough.
