I have a Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator purchased about 8 years ago. The compressor has a 10 years warranty and died. When on the chat and scheduled the service the next day. The technician Mark was super friendly and gave no excuses. He had the part read and replaced in two hours. Fridge is now working perfectly again. I always doubt on Sears service but no more. Will definitely buy from Sears even on a non-Sears brand. Im now a believer of Sears services. Kudos and Thank you!

Appt was scheduled from 8-12 I called to 11:00 a.m. to verify and they confirmed. Called at 1:30 p.m. to see where technician was and they had changed appt to 2-4, no call advising me of change. Sears gave me the number of 3rd party repair called Starred. I called them no answer. Left message and they returned call later telling me that someone had a medical emergency and that a message was left on my phone. That did not happen. Finally showed up, needed to order a part for washer, that was over a week ago. Called today and spent 1-1/2 hours on hold and transferred to numerous dept only to be told I need to call 3rd party and Sears does not have details to order. My warranty is with Sears not with the farmed out companies. Left message with Starred today and we shall see if they call back. So disappointing.

The Sears repairman came and told us he could not fix our stacked LG dryer and rescheduled us for another repairman the following week.After waiting the week,on our scheduled day and time Sears sent the same repairman to our house that COULD NOT fix our dryer.I told him this was ridiculous and cancelled the appointment.Two years previous,Sears fixed the same dryer for the same problem and now they cant do it???.Oh,well...I will never call Sears to repair our washer and dryer again...maybe for our refrig and stove,but not washer and dryer.Btw,Sears has been great for the last 20 years,so maybe this was just a fluke...I was disappointed,but there are lots of repairmen out there.

Horrible service!!!! Lazy repair man came to work on my oven couldnt even find the model number and said sorry can help you pay me my money. These are the technicians they are sending to peoples homes. SCAMMING hard working people for $10O just to knock on your door. BTW I FOUND the serial Number and Model number on my own . Service was difficult to setup. It took our 3 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator over a month to be repaired with the compressor failed. The first service call was sent out to confirm the compressor was defective. When the return technician arrived (over a month later) he had no knowledge of the previous technicians visit nor the status of our warranty service. We will not use this service again nor purchase Kenmore appliances.

Repair part took longer to arrive and past my next appointment but was never told about the late arrival or that the appointment was cancelled. Next appointment was between 8 to 12 but somehow got changed to 10 to 2. Never told about that and that was inconvenient. I didnt feel the customer was important enough to be told of changes.
I had my Refr., Washer, and. Dryer fixed duringthe month of Feb. Was pleased with therepair men sent to fix all.
I didnt get food loss reimbursement for first claim. They said i took too long to file. I filed the same day technician was here.. service appointmest took too long. Ive been without a working fridge for almost 2months now. Still doesnt work. Said i needed 4 claims to get new fridge. Im on my second claim. Warranted in my opinion was a waste of money. I would have better luck getting my fridge fixed paying out of pocket. My fridge was about 2400 and its under 2 yrs old. What a lemon. Dont waste your money on buying their insurance.
The technician arrived on time and was clean. The technician was very hard to understand and was not able to explain to me what he had done. Before he left, the technician handed me his cellular telephone asked me to sign a lien waver. When I questioned him further, since I had never signed a lien waiver before for service work, he was again not able to explain it, other then that it protected me. When I asked him to show me what I was signing, he said that since he had already signed the form, that he could not bring it up for me to read. He then showed me a screen shot of the supposed waiver that had been sent me him by his boss. That screen shot referred to the list work completed. When I again asked him to show what work had been provided, he was again unable to show me. When I questioned him again, he became upset saying that I didnt need to sign it and abruptly left.Previous repair only worked for around 1 month and then fridge broke again. Had to have the compressor replaced for the second time (as well the compressor fixed once, and the computer re-set once, for a total of 4 repairs in the less then 3 years we have owned the fridge, which also means we have had to throw out all the food in our fridge 4 times.) This time the same sub-contract repair company came out (Home Servicez). They left the tile underneath and around my fridge covered in dirt and grease, and a yellow scorch mark on my white tile in front of the fridge. They made no effort AT ALL to clean up after they were done. Again they asked me to sign a lien statement before they left. When I asked to read it, all they would show me was a short statement saying that I would receive a survey and to give them a 9 out of 10. When I refused to sign this (because it made no reference to the lien statement they told me I was signing, they again became visible upset and abruptly left.DO NOT BUY A KENMORE ELITE FRIDGERATOR, THEY ARE JUNK. I will be contacting a lemon law attorney regarding this fridge.
Im just disappointed with my first experience with Sears. cuz my appointment was cancelled 3 times. So it was 2 weeks of hanging your clothes to dry. due to dryer not working. Unbeleivable excuses i got 2 cancellation due to technician called in sick and one for the truck broke down. In between the cancellation they send a maintenance person instead of a repair person.after telling them what the problem was.
Our Frigidaire washer had to have a small part changed in the beginning of December because it started to leak water constantly, but ever since that problem was fixed it has not been spinning enough to get out most of the water after a wash. A repairman has been to our house three times since then, yet the problem continues, plus now the softener dispenser is not working either. They just cancelled the fourth visit two days ago because of a family emergency for the repairman. Apparently they do not keep enough repairmen employed to do the necessary work in a timely way. We bought this machine three years ago, and paid for a 5 year warranty, so at this point we want a new machine. But the next repairman wont come now until Feb. 3, two months after the problem started. This is not acceptable!It is now the end of February and the same problem continues. By phone they said the washer would be replaced, but they just sent out a technician to try to fix it again. Since it is still not fixed, they are going to send a senior technician. This has dragged on now for almost three months. No good!

Technician prompt and courteous. Did maintenance as per contract. Cleaned lint collected at bottom that wasnt done in last years service? Dont know why it wasnt done right then. Accdg to current technician, every rep has different way of doing job; okay but as long its done correctly that whats matters and should be done right as per job procedure? Curious about that.
Appointment was for 1 - 5 PM so of course he comes at 5:00. I told him (ID#0692798) that the dryer isnt drying and we have to run loads several times on high (cotton) setting. Also no lint is being caught in the lint filter. He says I probably have bad coils and replaced both.Today I tried to dry a load and theres no change. After the dryer shuts off the load is warm but still damp. Absolutely no lint in the lint filter ergo there must be a blockage somewhere in the dryer.My gut feeling is that the coils didnt need replacing. Also the technician was very lazy. He didnt bother to open the back of the dryer to check the dryer for internal airflow blockage. Heck, he didnt even check the amount of air coming out of the dryer outflow vent. Now I have to wait for another appointment.

The tech was professional, nice, explained everything and fixed my fridge door as he had the part in his truck and poof he was done and my door was fixed :-) the only thing was when I paid it took a long time for his computer to set up, had to try a few times and then if finally connected, he said they are getting new system soon, which will be great as it should never take you almost as long to pay as it did to fix the door! Otherwise very happy with Sears...as always!
The emergency refrigerator/freezer repairman, Gor, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, efficient, polite and had the new compressor installed in a timely manner. He did everything right!
Tech came out,, said refridge serial number didnt match, couldnt fix it... Yet this was the 4th time Sears had been out for the problem.. Seems the tech had the serial number for our kitchen fridge.. One would think they could figure that out... BUT NO!!! tech left without doing anything
I have not been pleased with the repair man sent by Sears the last 2 times he has visited. He was not professional in his approach to the repair of my refrigerator. As well, he wasnt professional in how he handled parts as walked away with a necessary. He only returned with that part the following day after receiving a phone call from my son. This is not the kind of service I have experienced in the past.
Your repair people were great. They ordered a new clutch and in total I received 6 clutches and it took three weeks to fix my machine because of the wrong parts. 4 parts were wrong. 1 part was correct and then 5 days after they completed my repair I received 1 more part that was correct so I had to have this part returned.
Tech did not follow up, never came to take old stove, pd for it . was not able to hook up range, never followed up. had a friend connect it for me. did not need new valve like technician that was sent from sears. very dissatisfied. I still have old range in my back yard.
I had to call Sears repair twice due to the change in appointment time. After time close to 2pm the repairman Bruce came. Bruce redeemed Sears. What a breath of fresh air. Bruce not only repaired the problem, but was so helpful it made the wait worthwhile.
So my Mother-in-Laws, over the stove Kenmore (Frigidaire) Microwave, kept tripping the breaker after only 2 years. Shes 87 and she really needs it to work. She purchased an extended warranty for the Microwave. March 2019, Sears Repairman comes out and says it is a door switch gone bad. 3 months later, it went bad again. The second repairman was a subcontractor called ER Electrical from Whittier. What a joke he was. He changed the same switch and left in 15 minutes. The next day it was broken. I spent 2 days calling Sears and arguing with ER repair. Finally, August 2019, Alberto from Sears came out and told us that these Microwaves were plagued with similar problems and Frigidaire recommended to change out all three door switches and the door latches. The latches were made of cheap plastic and was wearing down and shorting out the switches. So far, its still working. Alberto is an amazing tech.
As per usual, the Sears Home repair team is A1! I enjoy their friendly yet professional demeanor. They have useful advice on appliance upkeep for the home owner and have a nice bedside manner when your appliances are ailing.
Our technicians who serviced the water filter housing were courteous and efficient. The Sears protection warranty was well worth the price. The only drawback was this time it took an inordinate amount of time to get the appointments scheduled. We were without our icemaker and water for about a month.

When they showed up it was great and the guy was good...but to have a maintenance plan and they cannot get out for two weeks and when they have a scheduled time and they are 2 hours later than that time they set up with you...is ridiculous. Also, you have to schedule another meeting once the part comes in and a workers calls in sick and now you have to wait another two weeks for the next technician..why buy a contract or maintenance plan? It took me two months to get my part installed. How can you stay in business with lack of service like this?
The repair technician was great. The scheduling though as problematic as it took me more than a month before we can finally have someone take a look at the fridge. First time was a cancellation due to sickness by Sears. Second time was a late arrival of which we were not able to stay. Then finally third times a charm.
Our service window was between 8am and 12pm. We got a reminder call 3 days ahead of time stating this. On the appointment day, no one had arrived or called and at about 12:30 I called to inquire and I was told that my appointment time was now 1:45-3:45 because the technician was very busy helping our valued customers. I was upset and inquired as to why no one notified us of this, because now half of my day was gone and Id have to cancel my afternoon appointments to wait for the new window of time! The lady I spoke to was very robotic and kept repeating the same thing over and over again! Finally, I just tried to end the call and before I could, the robot lady told me because you are such a valued customer.... and she proceeded to try and sell me a $49.95/month warranty!! I said to her ARE YOU SERIOUS? I told her that I did not feel like a valued customer AT ALL and I cut her off before she could finish her warranty speech! What a joke! The interesting thing is that when I was trying to schedule my service appointment, the man I was speaking to was relentless in trying to sell me this warranty and I finally gave him a stern NO and asked him to just stop trying and I wasnt interested!!! I understand that Sears makes them do this and I think that its really sad that so much pressure is placed on them to sell these warrantys and they ultimately annoy the customers! This experience has really turned me off from using Sears again and I have found a different company for my future appliance repairs! My service technician finally arrived and apologized for being late, fixed my refrigerator and proceeded to try and sell me the same warranty the others tried to sell me before he was done! Ugh!!! Enough already Sears!! This company has gotten so weird!! The people that work in the store are very strange and so are the people on the phone! I think Im done with Sears!!

The service attendant was good He did his job and completed it and returned the room to good order. The appliance was installed by Sears originally and it was not level and he still charged us to level it- $40.00. It took less than a minute. Wrong!
Appointment was between 0800 and 1200. Confirmed via email and text the day before. Technician did not arrive until 1500 Hrs. Why confirm an appointment you do not intend to honor. Once technician arrived everything fixed. I would have preferred the gasket on the stove replaced as it is cut in several places. Gasket removed and re-installed.

The ice maker on my Samsung three door fridge broke into pieces. I called Sears, gave them the model number. The customer service lady pulled up the sales record, so she had the exact serial number. She scheduled a tech to come to do the repairs two days later. When the tech arrived, he looked at the problem, told me he would have to order the parts. WHAT?!? You have the make, the model, the freaking serial number, and you were told what was happening. NO WONDER SEARS IS IN FINANCIAL TROUBLE! Duh. So we wasted another week, the part arrived in two days but it took a week to have the repair man out. Morons must run this part of Sears. No wonder prices are so high, it it takes two trips to perform a 15 minute operation.
I await the arrival for the forth (4th) time to repair my Kitchen Aid Micro Wave. My time has value and I know the time of the 5 repairman who came out have value as well. Something in your system is terribly flawed and the business of repair must be improved.I dont know how people can take time from work on four different occasions to wait for five hours, plus repair time for each of the scheduled visits.Yes. Although there were 4 trips to my home, I appreciate that Sears was committed to repairing the problem. All is well. Thank you!

Our service rep was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. He diagnosed the problem with the ice maker as not enough water pressure from the wall connection. It was a plumbing issue in his mind. I have since taken care of the problem by replacing the offending valve. We are making ice again. I am pleased with Sears service.
The service tech, George, did an excellent job in fixing my dryer and servicing my washer. His experience took him right to the problem and the repair that was needed. He was friendly and very efficient, and explained what he was doing as he completed the repairs.
Although the service itself seemed to go smoothly, it appears the repair was not diagnosed properly. The ice maker is still having the same problem as before and I am out $450. I called to tell them this, and I have to wait 2 weeks for them to come out and look at it again.
Second time out for same issue, Microwave door not closing properly, still not rectified. Will have to call for technician to come back out. Also, control panel was replaced and they installed a different color. When brought to technicians attention, he stated that it is the only color available and as long as it is functional, it does not matter that it is a different color. Now my appliances that were all purchased at the same time for that very reason do not match each other!

They messed up the order on the parts: they ordered and sent the one of the 3 needed parts wrong. Our repair wound up taking 5 weeks. What a bunch of screw- ups. This has made us decide to never buy another Sears product- ever!

After 2 months of my dryer being broke it was finally fixed. But had a very bad experience with the first technician that came to service my machine. He was on a rush from the moment he arrived and was also on his cell phone on a personal call while working, which caused him to drop the piece he was replacing and break it. Thanks to his professionalism, it took two months to get my dryer fixed after that incident. My service agreement is due to a renewal this coming June, and after my last poor experience Im hesitant to renew it.

After the first visit my dryer was not fixed. I called that night to set up another appointment and they couldnt help because my service ticket was still open. They told call back in the AM. I called.first thing in the morning, couldnt.help me.again. They told me my service ticket still open call when its 24 hours. Called almost at 10am. Now they could help me, I explained the whole situation to the caller. All I got was attitude, besides hanging up on me. She just told me that either way if I would of called yesterday or today I would still have to wait 5 days for my appointment and to deal with it. Just so rude!!

I will never buy an appliance from sears again. They no longer schedule weekend repairs/maintenance, it take weeks to schedule, outsource their repairs to no-name local repairmen, and come ill-equipped to complete the work. Weeks go by with no answer for the replacement part and I call sears for an update they defer me back to the no-name local repair company who doesnt pick up their phone!!!It took 10 weeks....10 WEEKS! to repair a damaged base plate on my washer...an item that was amazon prime ready and could have shipped 1-2 days. But my stubborn self refused to pay the additional $150 - I paid for the extended warranty = worthless.Save yourself the hassle go elsewhere for your major appliance purchases - Sears is a sinking ship.
The dryer works great. The technician was not very friendly. I tried to ask him a question and he ignored me. He was running late, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was not rude just busy.

The worst experience in my life dealing with retail. I live in southern California 105 degrees every day in July. AC went out, 5 weeks withoutresolve . Lost Over $600.00 in time off of work. Sent out a unsupervisedTech. Replaced old AC of 15000 BTU with a 8000 BTU AC.Then on the 5th week of torture send me a experience Tech, Very nice person. HoweverHe told me he would not put in the new parts since the coils were shot. Came back a Hour later, told me they would replace the $600.00 unitwith a new one. Already bought a new AC.Why not store credit,on they wont do that. REALLY!!

My air conditioner was not diagnosed properly. I had to pay $341 for the first visit, which it was fixed right. Then had to call not even a week later for the same reason and paid another $831.10. I think the $341 should have been deducted from the $831.10.
We had a new ice maker installed on Friday, November 6th and it seemed to start working fine. Over the weekend however it stopped making ice. Another appointment is scheduled for tomorrow, November 11th so we need to empty the freezer again and figure out how to keep everything frozen again. Not happy about that!
Horrible experience! The refrigerator was never repaired and there was no sense of urgency or concern to get the parts delivered in order to repair it. My refrigerator went down July 20th. I spoke to customer service representatives in July and throughout August. Nothing happened. I received my first follow-up phone call October 27th. Seems impossible, but yes....no one cared to help us for THREE MONTHS! I had to place the broken refrigerator in the garage and buy a new one so that my family of 5 could live on. Sears Appliance Repair is heartless and unprofessional.

Very professional, and clear about how he explained the process of the maintenance of my appliance and services were done in a quick and timely manner.
The technician kept blaming on the dryer air duct cleaner. He came first time, and indicated that air duct need to clean. I had it clean about a year ago from Sears too. I called Sears clean again, in case he could not find the issue and blame on the air duct. Air duct cleaned, the technician came back. I was not home, but I want to see what he is going to do. My guess was right! he told my wife that air duct need to clean because he could not find the issue to fix. I came home from work, I told him that air duct cleaned per your requested. No more blame on the air duct. Took him another half hour, and he found the problem. Fixed, and dryer is working great. I game 2 star because the technician keep blaming on the air duct, instead he could work a little harder to find the problem.
Dont ever send this repairman again. not only did he NOT REPAIR my washer-now it is leaking water all over the floor, he said he replaced the dogs in the agitator
Worst experience ever with warranty repair service. Hot water heater burner needed replacement. Technician came and ordered part and said it would arrive within 24 to 48 hours. The part never came for 9 days. We called Sears everyday for 5 days because we had no hot water, calls were routed to the Phillipines and comlumbia sometimes and no result. We finally ordered the part through a local contractor and had Sears came to install on day 7. Sears refused to reimburse us for the part that we paid for out of pocket and no explanation or apology for the part to arrive after 9 days.

The only reason I am giving them 3 is for the tech service. The technician did the best he could. Sears management of their home service is terrible. We had a, less than a year old, refrigerator die three days before Christmas (yikes). Sears couldnt come till after Christmas. When they did come they were almost 4 hours after the repair window. We had to cancel evening plans etc. since it was a freon leak they had to come back. I schedule the appt asked to be the first appt due to our previous experience. The tech didnt show up till a hour after the window and it took 2.5 hours to do the repair. Which I was not informed before the appt. I was told I was # 3 of 4 for the 8-12 window. 4 -spots in 4 hours in our traffic is ridiculous. I called and spoke to a manager and was told I would get a call right back. No call. The poor tech is overschedule. We will never but from Sears again.

Our scheduled annual maintenance for the Master Protection Plan we have went very well with the exception of the refrigerator maintenance. We had a 4hour window for service and the other two techs came well within the allotted time. However, the refrigerator tech did not attempt to notify me that he was running late until 10min after the time period had ended, which was at 2:00pm. I was already on the phone with Sears rescheduling when he tried calling, as I had to leave to handle errands before needing to pick up my son from school. It was frusteratng having to wait all day to have him call after the fact to tell me the obvious, that he was running late. By the time he would have arrived it would have been nearly an hour after the timeframe scheduled. It was very inconvenient. The garage door tech was wonderful and so was the water heater tech.

You have the worst customer service of any company I have ever worked with. You speak to people in a foreign country who dont know anything and could care less about customer service. They NEVER have your parts on their trucks and then you must wait 10 days or more for them to return and fix your item. They set up an appointment and I called them to verify it. They then send you an automated call the day before the appointment to remind you. When they did not show in the time frame, I called and they told me, oh sorry we didnt schedule anyone to come to your home. I told them they needed to come and they gave me another appointment 8 days later. Only when my daughter bad mouthed them on twitter, did they decide to move appointment up. Moral of story: DO NOT buy Kenmore or any other appliance from this company!
