Just thought of sharing this feedback here thinking it helps. You 11% off rebate sucks. There is no online way to claim a rebate. You guys still use paper rebate and the process to get the rebate is super time consuming. Learn from other stores and get it better or it may affect badly. This is not just for this specific store. This is for the whole program

Menards on Rt. 59 and Rt. 64 is very clean (including their restroom) and organized! They have friendly staff everywhere to assist you.

Emily went above and beyond when we needed help with patio cushions. She listened to our concerns and found exactly what we needed at another Menards. It’s refreshing to find sharp people who take their job seriously and really care!! Any employer is fortunate to have a person like Emily on their team!

Good place to shop but the staff lacks the knowledge of home depot staff.

The checkout lady was rude as heck. Lisa.Mumbling under her mask. Slow as molasses.I had 2 big bags of dirt and balancing 3 long boards on my cart. 2 bags of chips.She was to lazy to reach over and scan my chips. Insisted i put them on the conveyor .Wouldnt hold the boards for a second while did that. Just a rude ignorant women. I guess its my jpb to make her job easier

Worst customer services. Manager doesnt know how to treat customers politely saying that customers are a problem. I bought a lawn mower that didnt work at all and all they said was that it was my problem now.

Was driving thru and had no choice but to stop in. Wasnt too bad. Few short minded employees but hey, its way better then walking into a box store for a screwdriver.

In April, 2020 I purchased a washer and dryer combo. In the receipt it stated that I was going to receive a 11% refund for the combo. In July, 2020 I wrote to Menards asking for my refund as it had already been three months. They replied stating that I should not be writing to them as they already knew about the refund. It will almost be a year and I have not received anything. The washer and dryer combo has broken down two times and maintenance has come to fix it and it is still unable to be used.

They constantly dont have certain things you need so you end up having to go somewhere else to finish certain projects and their wood looks like its ready for a burn pile not construction.The employees are pretty nice but dont really know much to help with choices(excluding paint where they are trained to upsell).

Great service in yard where you pick up large materials. Young man saw us across the yard and immediately drove over. He loaded our car nicely and was very polite.

Had everything I needed for a drainage job. Convenient that I can make a parts list online that I can use when I shop. Employee that I asked for location of drain pipes took me outside to where they were, helped me carry them in, and secured them with plastic to make them easier to transport. Great experience!

Purchased a craftsman v20 light from this location because it was in stock even though it was 30 mins. from my house. Purchased it online fir pickup. When I arrived, the box that they gave me was an open box item. I did not realize it until I got home and the inside of the box had “display” written on the inside. The product was also clearly damaged when I looked at it. When I called to report the problem, the pick up manager and store manager stated I was out of luck. They would do nothing for me, but I could return the item if I like. Then stated there was one more box on the shelf that the staff did not pull and if I wanted too I could drive back with no guarantee on that item. I could not believe they would not help me or take care of me when they were clearly dishonest!! I spent 2 hours of my day trying to address this mistake by the store. Very upset with the poor customer service and the staff at the store being ok to waste my time.

I found everything that I wanted at Menards. My review addresses the industry in general. Prices are sky high, while consumer income has dwindled due to recent events. That tree was in the forest 100 years. It was likely harvested by a sawmill just as old. It was shipped on a 75 year old rail car, and a 25 year old truck. Nobody has received any significant pay increase during the pandemic. I fail to see why consumers should have to bear the entire burden of the industries losses. As consumers we ask that you not place us in a position to bear losses which were not created by us. That is the industries duty to bear. You took the risk of loss of entering into a business venture. We consumers did not. Please Stop price gouging practices.

I purchased online several 18 long deck boards. Online stock showed 4 times the amount I purchased. When I went to pick those up, surprised to see only about 20 on shelf and hardly 8 usable ones. But staff were very nice and helpful. Would shop there again, but will skip buying anything online for store pickup.

The customer service is excellent, namely a guy named Vinnie, he is an extremely nice guy can you help me get exactly what I needed.

Went in with my son who is a police officer and carries a weapon and was not wearing a mask, they threw him out stating they were private property and can make any rules they wanted. Please make note we saw 2 employees with out masks and another customer w/o a mask. They will never get my business again along with other families with police officers. Nice way to treat those people you call heroes

This is location is much faster to buy and leave then the westside of Chicago! Gotta get it done!

WC Menard is the closest Home Improvement store to me and has excellent prices. The products are generally second-tier, but of value to me.

Bathrooms need better no touch facilities, also the rebate system should be an instant cash back instead of a mail in rebate I will go to lowes for my discount its better

Menards has it all. I Like the selection, and the simple fact that, if I wanted or needed to, I could pretty much take care of roughly 80% of a months worth of family purchases there. My wifes not as big a fan, but I know I am a cheap date.

This store was great! They were perfect with the Social Distance and everyone I saw was wearing a mask! It really made it comfortable to shop the wide variety of items!

Great store with good selection of materials. Layout of store is convenient and its easily accessible from North avenue. Store is kept neat and staff is generally helpful. Their selection of select wood and lumber is great. Their backyard lumber yard has huge selection of materials. Their clearance door section has great deals

The prices are good thats not questionable but for big purchases or projects make sure that you have a lot of time to spend in there because you have to help yourself on everything

Getting little better with always assuming that everyones out to steal. I actually didnt have to return my items this time. Yep I said it. Last time I was in the box 📦 had bunch of goodies, I was being hawlkedas if my shirt said ( Im here to steal ) unfortunately I didnt return items to their original locations. Left all at check out and walked away. That was 5 years ago. Been ordering online since. Only going to home depot if absolutely necessary. Nevertheless todsy they got a 350 dollar sale and I got some goods.

The store has many knowledgeable employees in every department. I was greeted as I walked by customer service. Overall, always has a wide selection of products for any project. However, a minor issue with pricing at checkout. A manager named Cynthia was called to the register to change the price. The difference was less than $2 she made it a complicated transaction. Other than that a good experience.

What can I say.Wish every Menards been as nicely organized and as fully stocked as this one.Its worth the extra travel to get everything in one spot.

Menards hires nice cashiers and customer service people. The other employees on the sales floor are OK, but the girls in customer service and as the register are polite, friendly, and honestly their usually cute! Just telling the truth.

Customer Service at Menards far surpasses that of the competitors. Anytime I come into a Menards, and particularly this West Chicago location, I am welcomed and dont feel overwhelmed. When I go to a sales associate for a question, Im led to exactly where I need to go. Today (7/23/20), Kyle led me to the wall anchors, asked me about my project, and gave me advice as to the ones he thought were best. At Lowes, the sales associates seem bothered when asked for assistance. Kyle also remembered the other things I needed and told me where to go for them. This Menards is also very clean and organized. This is a great store! And Ive been here often, so its not the first time Ive had great customer service from this Menards.

Didnt have ceiling tile I need.

Went in to find discounted item with reasonable amount in stock. Staff was unwilling to assist with finding discounted item. Manager advised employee that they were probably not in stock. Placed online pickup order for discounted item and, voila!, items were available to pickup. Thank you for the order pickup team for taking the time in finding my items.

I am law enforcement and carry off duty and is illegal to conceal when you carry. They kicked me out of the store when I saw employees not wesring masks. Wont shop at menards again and telling other officers not to either, Ill go to home depot and lowes or any hardware store that supports law enforcement

I prefer to shop at Menards over HD or LOWES. Far more organized, courteous staff, selection and cleanliness .

West Chicago location is very nice. This store is always well stocked with advertised sale items. This trip I have 5 different employees ask if I needed assistance. Another Menards I frequent isnt quite as well represented.

West Chicago give me a great service they give me the right part that I mean I went to buy a water pump Glendale Heights give me a really bad service

I always find what I need at any menards store I visit, they have a great selection and everything is very well laid out. I needed some things for my fireplace and they had everything I needed and much more, I also saved extra money with their 11% rebate on every item! The staff is knowledgeable, the store is clean and well stocked, I go here more than any other home improvement store!

Let me just say menards has once again proven themselves to be the most greedy and despicable store on the planet! Your denying customers with no masks into your store, and then trying to sell them masks when all other stores are giving the mask away for free! Unbelievable! Menards is trying to profit off of this! My company and all of our associated partners are now taking our million dollar + a year in purchases away from menards and will now be giving all of our business to Home Depot! Im going to make it my personal vendetta to make sure any tradesman we know will never shop at your stores again! Menards is worse than walmart!

Just came out of Menards, they decided to implement the mask rule 2 days early and with that expect you to buy a mask, instead of a complimentary 1 for the inconvenience, I went in to return items, get store credit and buy a lot more supplies, I asked nicely about mask for free and asked manager and they refused, told them I have a house from 1800s and been buying alot of stuff, could you at least give me the mask, only $1 for mask but was the principle behind it, told them for that dollar you will lose hundreds, and walked out .. pathetic that they change 2 days early catching people off guard and have the uncaring audacity to insist on the $1 and the loss of a long time customer, will be giving my business to Lowes and Home Depot, will let family and co workers know about this . Alot of negative publicity and lost business over a $1 mask... way to go Menards ..pennywise and dollar foolish.

This last trip to this Menards will be my last. Rude, unhelpful employees is apparently the norm, not the exception at this location. I kept thinking it was just a one off experience, but its been consistently bad every time I go, so Im done. Home Depot is right down the street, so Ill just go there or ace where the employees dont act like your inconveniencing them and actually know their products and where things are in the store and will actually take you and show you instead of just saying I dont know, over there somewhere and vaguely pointing while walking away.

The place is magnificent. Christmas decorations are tremendous here. Brian Rumbold provides the best security check out.
