Went on a road trip in my brand new car. Came back yesterday and it needed a wash. Went to Petes for the 1st time. Paid for the $18 wash and my car is not clean. The windshield has just as much bug guts on it as it did before the wash. Now after reading the other reviews I gotta run outside and make sure my bumper is still attached. Will avoid this place.

I waited nearly a month to write this review so I could be calm and composed but make no mistake I was very angry with what happened and was even more upset with their poor customer service after the fact. My rear bumper was damaged after going through the car wash, please see the attached photos.After fuming in the parking lot for a few minutes, I regained my composure and went to knock on the office door to show them what happened. I was treated like a nuisance, rather than someone who had been a paying customer for years. Thats what really bothered me, I have been using this car wash for a while and never had any previous problems, yet the one time I needed to speak to a manager or bother any employee at all really, it was like I was the problem.Anyway, I was helped by a young employee to fill out an incident report and this employee couldnt look me in the eye when they mumbled my spotter pointed out that there was previous damage, this wouldnt have happened on its own. The thing is, I knew there was no damage to the back bumper, I bought this car brand new in 2018 and have been the only driver. It really pisses me off when someone lies to my face.To make matters worse, I was promised to receive a call within 72 hours from management to address this issue. This incident happen on June 16th, 2021. I did not receive a phone call until July 2nd, 2021. So much for 72 hours. I was at work when a manager named James called, they simply left me a measly voicemail saying they couldnt help and were not responsible for the damage. I probably wouldnt of even gotten a phone call back if I didnt stop down in person 3 times requesting to speak to a manager, leave voicemails, send emails and snail mail written letters. What a terrible way to do business and treat your customers.Lastly, as you can see in the photos, there is an estimate for how much the repairs cost me. I highly recommend you avoid using Petes Express Car Wash unless you want to run the risk of paying a bill like I did. So much for a $5 car wash. If it wouldnt have cost me more to go through small claims court, I would have sued. Perhaps if this happens to enough people, we can band together for a class action suite for all the time and money we have lost due to damages that occurred at this car wash.

Their car wash tore up my fender as you can see in the pics. They checked the cameras that are ceiling mounted. Very convenient for them that you cant see the bottom of your car. Be sure to video your car before and after, even though their sign says theyre responsible for your vehicle the cameras are set to deny all responsibly!

Petes keeps the average car clean. Theyre your typical car wash; cheap, fast, and convenient. Using this type of car wash is only for your daily driver, as it will damage your paint over time. Its just impossible for them to keep the brushes and microfiber clean, due to the nature of the business.They also have very affordable monthly passes that are well worth it for the person on the go who needs to keep their car clean.Staff and the free vacuums elevates this wash to 4 stars.

This is a decent car wash (with vacuuming facilities); however as far as I remember, the price used to be $3 for a car wash. Then it rose to $4 and now $5. Not to mention how busy it always seems to be and how close you are to the next car in front of you and behind you in the actual car wash.

Loosened my enter bumper. ENTIRE BUMPER. Took no responsibility bc they have a sign. This place is pathetic do not spend your money there. When I notified them I thought it was part of my bumper but the whole entire bumper is now loose.

Needed a car wash and saw this place . An employee walked over and recommended the $18 wash and said it comes with the works. Did not clean much and there wasn’t anybody there to wipe down the car after like most cash wash places . It was so short I knew the car would not be cleaned properly. First and last stop here .

Well Im not sold on them, because I got the best wash they had to offer and it wasnt any different from the cheapest wash. Yes the do have free vacuum, so you are saving about 2 buck there. But it wasnt worth the $18 dollars i paid gor this wash.

I payed $18.00 for the car to get wet... terrible! No one pre - cleaned the wheels or wipes the car so the car was almost as dirty before I entered.

Okay, until the last few months I would have tried to give this place six stars. All of Petes express car washes are so cool, with signs for dirty cars in /clean cars out, plenty of staff to help, and a cool little show that actually washes your car - think low-end Disney ride. But horror upon horror - recently Petes has gone from $3 to $5 to wash a car- outrageous! For those without a sense of humor, Im kidding - for five bucks you get a fantastic car wash, with options to do all kinds of other cool things to your tires and undersides. Go ahead, give it a try - you know you want to, and everyones doing it!

Truly frustrated with my experience. Sister bought the monthly unlimited plan and was told she could cancel any time. She tried to cancel it several times in person and by phone. They didnt do it and then charge her over $30 for the next month. Now they wont give her a refund. Manager at the West Chester location couldnt do anything and said the regional manager would call. We have heard nothing. Horrible way to do business! Wont frequent again!

The most unprofessional management. The wash ripped my bumper off of the passenger side. They came back 5 days later saying that they wont be covering it because my mudflap was supporting the bumper and was previously removed. I have been a premium monthly customer for at least 3 years and over 200 washes and they didnt even hesitate to deny this. Seems like im not the only one either. Be careful with your cars. They only want your money

Worst car wash I have ever used. I paid for the most expensive wash and my front end as well as other parts of my car still look just as dirty as when it went in to the car wash. I will never be going back. Mr. Wizard in Kennett Square is far better. I’ll drive the extra 15 minutes for a better wash there.

As a rideshare driver, having access to Petes express car wash is perfect: because its quick, thorough, and gets the job done: I get the wash, wax, tire shine, and access to the interior vacuum cleaners all for a good price.

They was wanted the cheapest but they went up to $5 theyre very efficient in washing your car but I dont think the brushes do as a great job it is supposed to do so when you pull off and get the free vacuum you might have to do a little bit on the on the stubborn part of your card brushes couldnt get

Scratched my car and signed me up for a membership without knowing. I keep trying to email to cancel and get my money back but the website makes it impossible. Don’t recommend this is if you want to keep your car scratch free.

So how do I begin?I have been going to the Petes car wash in East Norriton for about a year now. I would do single wash for 3 or now 5 dollar wash.They do a nice job on my car.Recently my partner went and he got me the 9.99 a month package.He simply wanted to pay for my membership as a surprise.Every single time we have gone which is about 8 or 9 times for each of us in the past month we have had major issues that still have not been fixed.My partner went today and again had another issue.This has put Petes Express in a very bad light for us!!To Finish:They havent made any effort to actually fix the issue, they just keep saying the same thing over and over again We Dont know why its happening or theres no profile for the other person or you cant have 2 cars on one account, thats the lamest of them all. All I wanted was a membership to wash my car and not to sit inline and inconvenience everyone behind us and make us feel as tho we have done something wrong when its the car washes fault.There are plenty of places closer to us but we enjoy their services so we drive 20 minutes to wait inline another 10 mins due to this issue.If anyone reads this it would be nice to have this fixed immediately, we are very unhappy.Please reach out.THANK YOU!!

Affordable (paid $10) and very fast but the wash was really lousy. Side of the car (Jeep) is just ok and the back is really dirty and salty still. Definitely wont be back.

Terrible car wash. Did not clean my car at all despite paying for the most expensive wash there. Several new scratches on the sides and hood. Will definitely not be returning

The car wash is fast and effective. There are no attendants to dry your car after the wash however.

Very happy with my decision to join the wash club. This place is fast, powerful yet gentle, and convenient. As others have said, its an automated wash so it cant hit everywhere perfectly, but doing some followup spot cleaning is easy enough to get great results. Living in an area with lots of birds and pollen, my car gets dirty very fast, being able to go quickly wash it whenever i want helps prevent buildup of anything that might damage my paint and with the wax and tire shine it looks like my car is fresh out the dealer. Thanks!

Been going here since they opened over ten years ago! Im the type that likes to keep my vehicles clean so I might wash them 2 or more times a week depending on the season/weather. I always liked how you can vacuum for as long as you want after a wash. With a membership I can go an unlimited amount of times for a reasonable monthly cost, and it saves the hassle of reaching out the window and pushing buttons or inserting money because of the bar code scanner thats placed on my windshield. So I just drive up, the reader scans it then the bar lifts up and Im on my way to another car wash for the day! 👍🏾

Price is right! $4 gets most of the dirt off. Did not take off the tree sap on flat surfaces. A more expensive wash probably would have. Great 4 quick cheap cleaning.

Do NOT use this place. I went for a basic car wash a weeknago and came out with scratches all up and down my hood. Called 3x in past week and no one has returned my call.

Multiple options to pick from. Very well staffed but expensive. Free vacuum available after the wash. ]The basic wash is average since it can not reach angles and spaces present in most modern cars, SUVs or pickup trucks.If you are looking for a quick wash nothing beats this place. If you are looking for a nice wash, be prepared to do some work yourself.The short of it:If Im paying for a deluxe wash, I think its reasonable to expect every outside corner or my vehicle to be free clean.

It’s been over 3 weeks since your car wash blew my tire out. I had to get my car towed and a new tire put on my car and nobody from the west Chester location has called me. Why?? Juan is supposed to give me a call.

Great...joined the club..can get my car washed each day...clean and shiny all the time.

For the price you cant go wrong. It is a drive through car wash I havent gone to one since I was a kid. Everything from payment to getting through the wash is automated. They do have people there to make sure you get your car is positioned correctly. You can vacuum your own car and wipe it down at the provided stations. Well worth it to get that winter salt off your car.

Sucks BIG TIME LEAVE WAY TO MUCH WATER ON YOUR CAR.

I loved the speed that I went through the order to beginning of the wash and then when the was was done I went to use the FREE vaccuum. However the rinse and wash of my wheels left something to be desired as there was still soap in places and filthy dirt on my wheels as if they were totally missed in the wash. I got the $17 package so I hoped for more.

Tired Petes because my local wash is poorly run and damaged my wheel. Couldnt believe the difference. My car comes out much cleaner. Obviously others noticed how great this wash is because there seems to always be a line. Spots for vacuums are a little tight but honestly thats more people not knowing how to park or share space. Im a monthly member and drive 15 minutes just to go to the Warrington location.

Went a few times, doesn’t dry your car off at all. Would rather drive a few miles down the road to the $3 wash who hires people to dry your car off. I understand you get what you pay for but at least could dry the car off.

Ive been to every location they are a great company and you cant beat the value. I once locked myself out of the car at their location and they quickly assisted getting me help (also shout out to East Norriton PD for the prompt service) on top of it they gave me a full upgraded wash.

Service was Great! The guy getting me set up was helpful, patient and courteous. Only reason I didnt give it a five is bcuz there is NOT at all enough space for all the vacuuming parked cars! I noticed a brand new large nick on each side of my car after the cars on each side of me left. They were NOT there before. So... lesson learned

Great car wash. Very reasonable. The only thing they need is a car mat cleaning station.

The $3 car wash is the best thing going. And the self serve vacuums are plentiful. If you want the waxes and sealers and under car spray and rain-ex and whatever else they have that too but I typically just go for the bargain. Lines can be a bit long but I dont think Ive ever waited more than 10 minutes and usually I drive right in.

This place is great. My fiance is absolutely in love with this place simply because they give you the wheel shine included in the $12 wash. The vacuum cleaners are also excellent and free. The price here a little bit less than the other car washes in the area. This is obvious by how popular this location is. This place will get crowded quickly on any weekend morning. There are approximately 16 spaces open to vacuum your car. The free vacuum area is only accessible to people who have gone through the car wash first.

Even though this car wash is only $3 it doesnt do a good job its a horrible job for three bucks even if you spent a little bit more money it doesnt dry your car right so the air dryer is horrible and the things that wash your car or too hard on your car there rough so I would recommend go about a mile out of town to Gentle Touch Car Wash for $3 you get a better job and the people dry it for you much much better job on your car for $3 and its a little over a mile out of town called Gentle Touch Car Wash Their the best cant beat them. Even though you get free vacuums its still not worth the money go to a better car wash like I said gentle touch right outside West Chester its about a little over a mile youll be very pleased with that wash and they dry your car for you and you dont even have to tip them unless you want to

Have used Petes on multiple cars for years. Watch out on the first nice days after winter storms the line backs up as far as Gay Street because theyre so popular.Ive never had any problems here. Washes go from about $4 up to $15 I think for the high end wash. Vacuums are free if you want after the wash.Understand that NO automated car wash will get a dirty car 100% clean. If you want a complete detail go get a complete detail, not a drive-through car wash. These are great for quick washes that keep your car looking good.

Clean inexpensive good customer service

For three bucks you cant beat it. However the outside of my car looked no different than prior its wash. Nobody to wipe car down etc. My favorite part was unlimited access to the vacuums honestly. Good for detailing the inside of your car yourself, would not suggest for a good or thorough cleaning of the exterior.

If you get the Premiem package wash is good, products used on car seem alright being used everyday. Vacuums are nice too.

When my car needs more exterior cleaning, I visit the next door self-service car wash for pre treatment for $2.00, then I drive to this location for final touch up and free vacuum.

Whats not to love about a $4 car wash? Sure, it doesnt have any bells and whistles, and wont do you any favors as a first car wash of spring to remove the brine from your under carriage, unless you fork over another $6, but it definitely works well as a routine, get the pollen off the car, car wash. $9.95 gets you unlimited basic washes for a month. Thats a steal! Pay more and get more. Even the higher priced washes are worth the monthly fees. And youll never beat free vacuums, every day, all day.

This place is great, but it gets very crowded after a snow storm. Its quick service, and a clean car, and free vacuums. The prices are also reasonable. This is my go-to car wash in town, and I dont see that changing any time soon!

I go to this car wash frequently. Today my car went off the track in the middle of the wash. I was not touching anything I was just sitting there with my car in neutral not moving at all. I proceeded to honk for help and no one came until another car pulled up to have their car washed and they finally realized that my car was not moving. After getting my car back on track they turned the switch back on which pushed my car on the track but did nothing else. No rinsing, no drying, nothing. When I finally got out I explained to the attendant that my car was not washed properly or rinsed at all and he proceeded to tell me it was my fault. He kept trying to argue with me and tell me that I was breaking throughout the car wash. Really? How can I break if my foot isnt on the pedal? The customer service here is the worst. Luckily for them when the automatic systems work properly the wash is decent and you dont have to deal with the rude employees.

Great place for a quick, $3 car wash. Automated attendant makes it convenient to use cash or credit card. You can select various services right from the machine. Three dollar basic exterior all the way to detailed tires etc.. Once you exit the car wash, free vacuums and a place to dry is provided in the parking lot.

The machine totally screwed my tired a to a point a didn’t feel safe driving to a mechanic and the car was shaking through the steering wheel.Before I left I asked if the manager could please help me with anything. He said he’s not allowed to get in my car and then proceeded to tell me about the hydraulics of the car was (completely irrelevant). I asked if there was any way to get reimbursed for my mechanic cost and he said NO.

Pay $3 to wash and vacuum for free! Mostly always busy but just put your tunes on sit back through your vehicles bath time and youll come out all sparkly clean. I visit often and Im always pleased with the results.

Used this place alot since moving to West Chester, every time I go despite paying $17 the washes are getting worse, yesterday I think it cleaned maybe 70% of the car and had to hand wash and dry the rest. Good for convenience and free vacuums but losing faith in the carwash itself

This is the place to go for a car wash. The $3 fee that this place pioneered has had a huge impact on the area as many competing car washes now offer a similarly priced wash. This place is still the king though. 2 payment lanes, a fast automated car wash and about a dozen or so free vacuums to use after your wash.

For $3 its a pretty good car wash. But there is a free vacuum section too. So the three bucks goes a long ways. I havent really found off peak hours, just seems when I need a car wash everyone needs a car wash.

Very solid car wash. I wish they had the ability to get my rims a little bit cleaner but for the price you really cant beat this place.

My car was transported from another state and it was dirty. I took the best package but it did not clean to my satisfaction. At the back it did not clean the even 30%. I showed it to the guy standing at the booth and he wasnt concerned much and said that it cannot be clean. I cleaned the back myself with the piece of cloth. Vaccum cleaners are good and lots of them are available for your use.

Save yourself the aggravation....this place is awful. I went there early on a Sunday morning and was directed onto the track at the entrance to the actual car wash. I could tell that I was not completely on the track but the attendant insisted that I was and to continue. It turns out I, in fact, WAS NOT ON THE TRACK COMPLETELY and as a result my front passenger tires was completely flat (down to the rim) when I exited the car wash. I notified the on duty supervisor and was told that the manager was not there, but he would make sure that the incident report was brought to his immediate attention, and that the manager has 72 hours to review the tapes and get back to me. That was 4 WEEKS AGO!! The phone number on their website is disconnected. Be advised that this might be an inexpensive way to wash your car, but if their negligence damages your car...you are not going to get any response whatsoever from them. I am reporting this place to the Better Business Bureau.

Excellent quality of drive-thru car wash. Ive gone here for years and always found the results to be to my high expectations. The free, good, well-maintained, lot full of shop vacuums that are available after you go through the car wash make this place truly stand apart from the competition. Go here!

Worth every penny. The is thorough and quick. Do yourself a favor and get the $15 wash. It gets every where and leaves a great wax finish. Staff is friendly and helpful. I drive a bigger suv and sometimes its hard to find an automatic car wash that can get everything clean.

Petes $ 3.00 base wash is now $ 4.00 (including tax). Not sure about the other car wash prices offered because I always get the economy/base wash and am always satisfied. Unlimited car vacuum is fantastic.

Modern technology. Gets my car clean. They are a little stingy about rewashes. Bring your own stuff (towels, shiners etc.) There are no attendents to dry your car, but 12 or so vacuum bays. At the end of August 2018 they offered unlimited deluxe washes for 29.95 monthly. I jumped on that! Less expensive options available too.

The wash is not setup properly nor maintained properly. The manager, since promoted, refuses to be kind to customers with issues. 50% of the Times I go through the wash the car is not fully cleaned. But hey, it’s $3 and they know it’s $3 and the lines are around the block so I don’t things will change anytime soon. Pete is swimming in the cash!

The setup at this place is great. Dont pay for the$15 wash. I did and when I got home, a layer of cloudy glaze was all over my car...looked like someone poured sugar water on my car and let it dry. Had to re-wash my car manually when I got home.

Nice place for car wash, but now they have increased a $1 for basic car wash package of $4. Earlier it was $3. Felt it was good when basic wash is $3.

Just sat in line for 15 minutes then when I go pay they said it’s cash only today. No sign before waiting in line, no employees letting people know ahead of time. I didn’t have cash on me, so I had to leave. Such a waste of time. I don’t mind paying $15 for an ok car wash but it’s ridiculous to suddenly not take cards and not let waiting customers know. The whole idea of this place is convience, and now they are not even that, time to go elsewhere
