I had a dress hemming emergency and Seams Sew Perfect was able to fix it in less than 24 hours, and on the Friday before labor day weekend! So accommodating and understanding. And the hem turned out perfect.

The women that work here are absolutely wonderful !!! My mom has a wedding to attend this weekend and she didnt get her outfit until this past Saturday I made a few phone calls and these ladies were more then happy to do the necessary alterations when I spoke with them on the phone they told me dont worry anything is possible. An old school local shop that does amazing work! I needed 11 patches sewn on my leather jacket and they put them on exactly where I asked, perfectly centered. My wife loved the hand painted mannequin the owner has displayed on a revolving ceiling mount, and the owner engaged us for ten minutes when we asked about it. Well done! We will be coming back for any future sewing needs, no doubt.

Came in on a fly to get buttons put on 2 pair of my husbands jean shorts. Kathy said she could do it in 5 minutes. She did! $6 bucks per pair. Super cheap and quick.

Absolutely amazing! I had work done on my leather jacket that Ive owned for over 6 years. My inseam was being ripped apart from how long Ive had the jacket for and I really needed a new lining. I looked on Google and found this place and could not have been more impressed by how good the work on my jacket was. I asked for a new satin lining with a bit of a customization with some cloth that I had brought in myself. It came out so well that I could even wear my leather jacket backwards if I really wanted to. A little more on the expensive side but for how difficult the work is and the quality of the work it was 150% worth it!

Recently had a dress altered here. I will be wearing it to my wedding but it’s not a “wedding dress”. I was so happy with the alterations that they did for my very special day. Turnaround time was about 2 weeks and the dress fits perfectly. I would use their services again and recommend them!

Too expensive for me. To sew buttons on military trousers for suspenders

I had two zippers replaced on two winter coats. It took about two weeks and they did a good job with them. However, one coat had just been cleaned and they made me pay to clean it again and I do not see any difference. Also, I had to call them top see when they were done. The Zippers were $40/each and the cleaning about $15 each. So 4 stars is fair. Without the cleaning costs, having to call them and not seeing any difference in the one cleaned coat I would give them 5 stars.

I really, really wanted to like this place. It was recommended to me from my favorite dry cleaner. I took in my military dress uniform jacket, paid $44 for removal of two patches (and replace them,) add a stripe (a sew on that I gave them,) fixing a button, and then dry cleaning it. While pricey, I agreed. They do not have a military discount. They said it would be ready in a week (about normal.) I thought, “great.” So a week later, on my way to pick up my jacket, I arrive, hand them the ticket, they bring out the jacket...and my patches are upside down. I commented on this, and the lady replied, “sorry, don’t know how that happened. We have all of the rules written down.” She told me I could wait and she’d fix it, but I was on my way to work. I didn’t get off work until midnight that night, so I had to pick it up at 10 am the next morning (I was supposed to be leaving at 4 am for a military conference.) I had to call my friend to pick it up for me. Couldn’t believe I didn’t get any kind of retribution. I will not be returning.

A mistake was made on my suit alterations. The staff/owner were helpful in getting it fixed on short notice. They even gave me an additional services for free and gave me a small refund for the gas I used driving out to the shop to have the issue fixed. The suit turned out great the the refund/free service was very generous and appreciated!

Seams Sew Perfect may not be perfect, but it seems that way. Ive had my work done there for many years and highly recommend them. When I buy a new pair of pants, it needs more work than just the bottom hem. they are able to do exactly what needs to be done to make the pants fit the way they should. I believe their prices are reasonable.

I have delt with the ladies here for over 10 years. Theres nothing they cant do. Ive brought them leather, patches, denims,curtains,vests,zippers, snaps, shirt buttons, all of it. The Best in the business for sure. Work is worth every dime. When they do it they do it right.

I like to patronize small businesses since I own one myself. However my experience HERE was not a good one.I came to pick up a dress I had alterations on. When I walked in I was greeted by a dog who jumped up on me followed by 2 ladies.I was not happy that the dog jumped on me or hung around me since I am allergic to dogs.I was given my dress back in the same bag I brought it in.One of the ladies told me I was free to go. She said this more than one time like they wanted me to leave. They did not even offer me a chance to try it on.As I left I sat in my car wondering what just happened in there and...why my dress was not on a hanger and in a ball in the bag.I went back in and asked if it could be put on a hanger and the owner said. If you bring it in a bag you get it back in a bag.SHE SAID she would have to buy a ton of hangers if she put everything on one.I was shocked at this. I just took my husbands suit to be dry cleaned. I carried it in and picked it up in a plastic bag on a hanger.I asked if it could be pressed and was told it would be 20 dollars more. I already paid 65 dollars for the alterations . When I said no she said she would do it for 10.I declined.Another problem was that...I was not told how much it would be until the hem was chalked. Then had to pay upfront.The price of the service and the way it is returned should have been discussed before hand.I am sorry to say this was not a good experience and I will not be returning.

A place where you can get great masks and help small businesses

Blew me away. Was hoping to drop some items off to have patches added. They measured locations and prepped them right away and had the patches installed while I waited. The entire visit was about 30min. Ill be back with more in the future.

I just recently started using Seems So Perfect for my alteration needs. All three times my alterations came back perfect and I found the owners to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I did have a small issue with a seam coming apart on a pair of my jeans. I was not sure why this was happening and took the pants back to see if something could be done to fix the problem. The owner immediately took my pants and fixed them while they asked me to wait, and no extra charge for the fix. To me, that’s super customer service. Thank you Seems So Perfect!

If there were options to check negative stars, I would. The service there was not welcoming and the woman that I worked with was quite rude. I believe the prices were high for simple tailoring. I highly recommend never going there to get any alterations!!!Yes you may have had the prices listed in your establishment. But you took maybe five minutes to fit me. also it was just a fitting for sweatpants nothing elaborate. And still charge me $10. I don’t like the atmosphere and the lack of open door policy. There’s been more than one occasion in your reviews,where other people have written and felt of the negative vibes. The prices weren’t competitive because I ended up going to another taylor who had prices that were more reasonable for the request of a simple alteration.

I had one of my Harley shirts altered from a medium to fit me which is usually a small. Looks absolutely great. I also had 2 headbands resewed because i received them unwearable. The seams were all messed up. She totally fixed both and they look great.

Love, fixed my coat zipper in mere minutes and at a great price too.

A few weeks ago I had a terrible experience here. Twice now I’ve gone in and was treated poorly. First by an employee that appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Then the manager had no manners what so ever when I was picking up my dry cleaning. Like I saw in another review, she would only argue instead of communicate when I asked a question. These people do not care about the customer! Maybe learning manners or trying to at least act like you like your job would make the experience go a little better. I honestly don’t know how they have good reviews...

My experience with this business owner is literally one of the more unsettling interactions I’ve ever had with another person.I stopped in to see about having a zipper replaced on a boot of mine. Kathleen quoted me a price of $55.00 for this. Pricey, but I agreed to do the work there. She showed me 2 zippers as options– a black one that would clash with my brown boot and was significantly larger than the original zipper, and a flimsy brown one that would likely not last 2 days on the boot–Neither one really fit the bill, but at this point I just wanted the work done so I could wear them again with the snow coming so I told her I’d go with the black one. She took my last name and phone number on a slip and said I would have to pay in advance for the work. I was not comfortable doing this, but I did. On the way home, I started having second thoughts about how the boot would look with either of the options she gave: for the price I would expect to be fully happy in the end and realized I just would NOT be with those options.I called the store immediately when I got home to cancel the order. I let her know I would be by either later that day or the following day to pick up the boot and asked her to process the refund since we wouldn’t be proceeding with the work I had paid for. She was not happy about me canceling so she slipped in that there would be a $ 5.00 “counter fee”. I was a little taken aback and asked her to explain what it was as I literally had just left her store. No work of any kind had even been started. “Payment for her time”, she said….Um, excuse me? Had she spent long hours taking countless measurements? Had she turned away countless customers so she could research the history of French seaming technique for me? Had she performed any service whatsoever for me? No. She wrote down my name and phone number on a slip. That’s literally it. In fact, we spent longer talking about the dog that jumped up into my face as I walked into the store than she did helping me. I would have taken the same amount of her time had I called her on the phone for a quote. Does she have a fee for calling for information too?! Long story short she was going to be charging me this arbitrary “counter fee”- which is tacky at best and criminal at worst. She said she would refund the payment minus this “counter fee” as soon as we got off the phone.Fast forward to returning to the store. I checked to see if she had issued the refund before going in – no refund.I went in to once again request the refund and collect my boots. I asked her where I might be able to see her “counter fee” policy posted. She seemed shocked that I asked her to show me and again explain what it was exactly I was paying for. She very defensively and aggressively pulled her dressing room curtain back and pointed to a sign that was lurking behind it. The sign referred to alterations fees. Ok. Alterations require some degree of time and work – measurements, etc. Sure, that’s understandable…But this wasn’t an alteration, remember. She wrote down my name and phone number. That was all. As I continued to request an explanation as to what she was charging me for, she got increasingly hostile, literally raging at me in front of my daughter and another customer. At one point 2 of them were even screaming at my daughter who stepped in to ask them not to yell at me. Needless to say, she crossed bounds that a business owner with an ounce of sense would never dream of crossing. At this time she is holding my $5.00 hostage, plus a 3% fee put on top for the card transaction.This establishment will leave a bad, bad taste in your mouth. Please consider supporting another local business that will treat you as you deserve to be treated – with respect. This place engages in trashy business practices and becomes belligerent at customers who reasonably request explanations of those unethical practices.

Working at a cleaners that does not offer alterations or zipper repairs I have been sending my customers to this business thanks to glowing recommendations from other customers who have used her service. Never a complaint. Take some of the more slighted reviews with a grain of salt when considering their requests or how they slanted the story in their favor.

I have used this place for both embroidery of personal bags and tailoring of leather clothing, and they have been amazing for both. Everybody there is always kind and fun to work with and I will definitely be going back!

First, i went in the lady wasnt exactly friendly. i went in for a bridesmaid dress to get a hem and have the chest taken in. The lady convinced me not to have the dress taken in at the top because she didnt want to ruin the lace bodice. She made it seem like it would look okay without alteration. Maybe she just didnt want to do the work, maybe shes just not a good seamstress. After i got the dress back, the hem was fine, but now looking at the dress, it really needs to be taken in! My chest is falling out of the dress, thats how badly it needs to be fixed. Who knows, if i had gotten it fixed by her she probably would have ruined it! How can u say that you cant fix that?!

The tailors name is Kathryn (not sure of the spelling) appeared at the front desk with the attitude hurry up. Speak up. Im busy. I explained to her that the jackets sleeves are too long for me and she asked me to put in on. I did. The sleeves reached my knuckles. She said, Its not too long. Raise your arms. I did and of course the sleeves were pulled back. Its fine, she said. So I told her that I would like it shortened. She said, I ll have you sign a document so you dont come back and say it is too short.Fine. Ill sign a legal document.An inch or an inch and a half? she asked.I can only tell you where I would like it to be, but I dont know in terms of inches. I replied.Its an inch. she said after examining it visually.Would be mind measuring the other sleeve. I think one of my arms in longer than the other.Its not your arms; its the jacket.But one sleeve it always longer with any jacket that I wear.Its the jacket!I said impatiently, We are arguing, instead of communicating.I picked up the jacket and headed to the door. She followed me with the remark, You asked my professional opinion!

Kathleen is an expert seamstress. I have had her do alterations on a bridesmaid dress, nylon jogging stroller, and work clothes and they all turned out great.
