Im antwaune Williams the dad of antwaune and Antonio antrell twaunica twaunisha twaunitra,Anthony. My experience with epworth has been very good when I reported any incidents involving my kids John Lyle and Elizabeth Hudson investigate and assure me of the proper circumstances of my kids well being. They made sure my kids were not harmed. And did multiple follow ups. As long as I continue doing my part in October my reunification with my kids will be guaranteed. Thank you all for your support.

When I was a student at Epworth, one time I ask the principal a question about their dress code and he spit in my face.

I was in a phone conference just last week. Where they were discussing the changes they had made.. One worker said it used to be we took them out of homes, put them in centers (childrens homes) and forgot about them. It would be 2-3 years before we were brought back in to move them some place else.. The older they are the more likely it was that they would be forgotten She said NOW its policy we are required to check on them once a month.. REALLY? Where was this common sense the entire time? As a child of the system I am well aware of what it is like to be forgotten I was taking from my home and placed into one of these group homes at 8 and I didnt hear from a worker again till I was almost 13! Then I was moved into a foster/adopted home where I was expected to just conform and act like everything was normal. Within a year she placed me in epworth where I stayed until I ran away. When you spend your days living in a room and being doped up on random pills to keep you well behaved and if you refuse being held down on the bed and them forcing you to take them via shot up your a&&. You are not just going to walk out and be normal. Childrens homes were flat out abusing kids.. I was smacked by a worker across my face and to this day she still works in the system. I started my period in a home and they refused to provide me with products for that.. I had to beg staff and they would only provide if I behaved. (seriously!) These are the people that took you out of your home they deemed unsafe, Just to put you in a home that was by far worse! These people had no business being in charge but no one stopped them. but according to the workers. That has changed now! (yeah right!) and having any rights at all? When I was smacked by the worker they refused to even call the cops.. I asked to speak to my social worker and was locked in my room. No one ever asked if we felt safe there or if we were properly taken care of. (question they ask every kid when dfs is called into your house)I requested a copy of my file as an adult.. (almost 30 now) I asked them if they thought I was a bad kid.. I was told flat out yes.. BUT In my file I was a straight A student.. Tested well above my grade level. Never shown any violence or aggression toward anyone. and have never been in trouble with the law. (no drugs/sex/alcohol underage) The only bad thing I read in my files was that I was defiant towards the staff. .. Apparently being defiant entitled them to put me on anti-psychotic drugs, Pills for depression, Pills for adhd. Shots to paralyze me when I did not cooperate . etc etc. The minute you step into these places.. they start drugging you up.. if you need it or not! and dare to refuse (which was why I was defiant) ? ha.. They will hold you down and force you to take them!!This is just a few of the stories.. I could write a book on the crap that happened while I was there. Nothing I ever read will change my mind about the system I lived it! Do not ever send your kid here! If you actually care about your children! I was in Epworth for almost 3 years. This is where I was abused the most! Any positive reviews are written by staff or parents that are living in a fairy tale world.
