Reserved a full size SUV several weeks in advance of an 18-day road trip. The morning that I was to pick it up they called to let me know there were no SUVs available. I asked about compensation for the inconvenience. Instead, they gave me what they called a free upgrade to a minivan.The three teens that were in the back rows of the van during this 6,6xx mile road trip are all over 6 tall. It didnt feel like an upgrade to them or to us in trying to get the luggage in there, too.Its ridiculous that a reservation made over a month in advance couldnt be fulfilled. We paid over $1,700 and couldnt get what we requested.

1 Star because I can’t give no stars. We where promised a box truck for our moving day. We arrived to pick up our box truck just to be told that “the Corporate office is taking all the box trucks.” They said they left a email and voice mail and in fact they did not. There was no communication between there office and my wife. And now we are searching all of STL looking for a box truck 1 hour before we have to move out of our house. Thanks for the headaches and terrible service.

I appreciate this small rental facility. My family has rented from here several times in the last three years. We love the convenience of the location and the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. The pricing for the vehicles is excellent and we have always gotten the type of vehicle that we requested through the online reservation service. Extremely satisfied.

This location is AWESOME! We actually have a location closer to our home from which we could rent, but Vivian and Chris are so kind and friendly (The guy at the one closer to our home is not). They greet you with a smile and engage in polite conversation while getting your information together for the car. Recently, we left our garage door opener in the car and Vivian went out of her way to make sure we were called so it could be returned! Thats customer service!!!

First, I came in on a Sunday to a man in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Normally I wouldnt comment on dress, especially on a Sunday because I feel bad for someone having to work at a smaller location that is likely fairly slow. However, this guy looked like he had just rolled out of bed and went to work. Next, I get to the car, the only car in the lot from what it appeared, and it was absolutely covered in salt, especially the windows. The employee said he couldnt get the salt off, but I have detailed cars for years, a quick run through the car wash or even some windex could have taken the salt off the windows, I could care less about how the car looked, but the visibility was unacceptable. So I had to take it upon myself to immediately stop at a gas station just to clean the windows of a car I paid to rent. Had the employee not looked the way he did, I may have taken this a little more lightly, but it just seemed flat out lazy.Upon my return the same employee was dressed exactly the same. Add on the fact that the windshield wipers did almost nothing and 50% of my drive was in the rain, and I just find this experience to be well below standards.I normally use Enterprise, but used Budget due to the fact that they were open on Sunday and more convenient in terms of location, but I will happily drive out of my way in the future to not use them. It appears by some of the other comments that this location may need a bit of an overhaul to meet any sort of mediocre standards

The lady was very pleasant to work with. It was a short notice rental for us and a busy morning for her but she handled it all with grace.

I was skeptical of the location based on reviews. Some of these people must have been having a bad day to say these things about this business. The old lady and young man couldn’t have been more helpful and professional. Make sure to double check with their debit card policy as mine was declined. But sure enough I put the money on my credit card and was on my way in a clean efficient car.(4 stars because I thing the building and lot could use an update 😴)

I put a reservation online, and I paid with a credit card but then 20 mins later they call saying that there isnt a car available and then when I wanted a refund it would take 1-3 bussiness days

This isnt about this location, but about Budget as a whole.We rented a car last Sunday to go on vacation. While in Mississippi, we stopped for gas and filled the car up for about $25. Turned car on, check engine light was on. Called rental place where we picked up car, was told the car needed an oil change. We could stop and get one but we should be ok driving. Idk why this wasnt done before we got the car. When trying to drive, the car had no power. Called office back, was told to call roadside assistance. After almost 6 hours in the parking lot and 31ish phone calls back and forth,we finally get a different car. Get in,check engine light is on!! Drove to Memphis airport (closest rental location an hour away)to get different car, they dont have any. Drove 6-7 hours through the night, mainly on pitch black back roads, with engine light on, to avoid another added expense of a hotel room. Finally get to Branson around 5:30 in the am instead of 9 the night before. Called customer service again, was told they would take $60.00 off rental, which I feel is unacceptable. When we returned the car to this location, we were told the second car was not transferred to us so it was not in their system for us to return it. This is the first time weve rented a car and I will never go through Budget again.

I reserved and went to pick up my rental at the Budget Rental on Watson Rd (Shrewsbury/Webster Groves)location. The gentleman swiped my debit card and told me that my card didnt work, so I politely took my card back and went to Enterprise, down the road and they didnt have any problems with my card.

This location is very very bad at checking and maintenance. We almost got in accident twice. There was not a single word or help coming from them. Make sure to double check your rental vehicle in and out before you go on a trip.

My at was an hour and a half late, wasnt cleaned, balled tires, and low wiper fluid. Havent got a chance to call yet, but its on my agenda today!

Absolutely terrible they call me the day Im going to get the car that I reserved over 2 weeks in advance to tell they didnt have a rental for me I call the customer service number they give me a upgraded and send me 25 minutes away when I arrive to get my car Im told sorry we dont have any vehicles and to top it all none of the budgets that are still open have any vehicles left the guy behind the counter was nice and it wasnt his fault it I wasnt originally going to that location so I call back customer service and get told sorry we can not do anything to get you a car upgrade or not
