Still waiting on a screen for one of my windows after three weeks of being finished but overall very happy with our new windows. They finished 12 windows in three days so they were quick. Definitely would recommend to others

What a disappointment. We were so pleased with the quality of our first window and the excellent installation, that we ordered two more large windows. This contractor is owned by the Stanek Window Company which is headquartered in Macedonia Ohio. They manufacture the windows and rely on the local representative to arrange installation. The windows we ordered seem just as good as last time however, the installation is not good. At this time, the installation is not complete because the installers indicated that the company did not provide the correct trim. The installer told me that they would return to complete the installation the next day. They did not return. On the third day, I contacted Liz Avilla at the company indicated that the installers would complete the installation on the next day after I reached her on the phone. However, the installers did not arrive to complete the installation. During this time, the company made no effort to update me on when the project would be completed. I have left several messages without response. In my case, this company does not seem to be living up to the same standards as last year. Besides the unknown completion date, the partial installation of trim that has been installed does not match the trim on the windows we purchased last year. The trim is not even close to the trim that was installed last year. I do not recommend this company.

Our design consultant Theodore Tamvakis gave us excellent personal service as he walked us through the buying and installation processes. We ordered a replacement patio door for our home on Feb 28, 2021. We chose Stanek because our existing 25-year old Stanek replacement whole house windows are fantastic. We will recommend Stanek to everybody. Now that the installation is completed we are very pleased with the Stanek quality and the team. We would refer them at any time.

Rosario did a fantastic job screening in our deck. The results were high quality. He was courteous and left the area cleaner than he found it.

Theo was very knowledgeable and professional didnt waste our time trying to sell us stuff we didnt want. He listened to us & respected our time. We felt very confident with his recommendations. Was a very positive experience & we will definitely be using them for future projects!

We had a patio door installed a number of years ago by Stanek - with a lifetime warranty (no longer honored by this new company). WE are having issues with the door and had an appointment for them to inspect it and they cancelled. We have been calling for a month and no response. Now the door will not even open which is a safety hazard and we cant even get the courtesy of a return call. WARNING - May be good at sales - poor at SERVICE.

I live in a home that was built in 1951 and still had its original windows. This turned into a challenging install for the three installation workers who said that they had never seen windows like ours due to steel being inside of the frames. The workers problem solved and got the job done, even putting in full days over the weekend. Our windows are so beautiful and make the house warmer. The curb appeal has greatly improved. Thank you Stanek for getting the job done!

From the very beginning we were very happy with the selection and price of the windows. from presentation, finance options, window selection and choices . we opted for a higher grade window but one that would fit within our budget that we laid out before we went looking for windows.with the current promotions and options it seemed to be a good time to proceed, and are we ever so glad we did.our sales rep was one time and great to work with. The installation did have a few hiccups in part due to the current health issues around us. Our windows were shipped in two batches due to a factory shutdown in another state. this was no fault of our local company. we decided to get them installed in two batches (some are better then none). the forts two windows went off without a hitch, it took them 2 days to complete because our old windows were installed from the builder improperly. both turned out better than we had anticipated.. the second round . was not as smooth, the list required to install our second story windows did not arrive on time, it was slated for a 0900 delivery, it did not come until 1400, the crew did as much prep work as they could so we did manage to get 2 out of 3 windows in. the next day they arrived right on time and finished the job. the 4 man crew worked hard to get everything in trimmed out and looking great. the best part living in a condo was our neighbors who were impressed with the cleanup they did before they left, it was cleaner after they left then it was when they started..adise form issues beyond there control they did everything as contracted and more. Highly recommended they went out of their way to make sure we were happy and on a time frame that fit our schedule could not have asked for more..i should also add Theo our sales rep was there from the beginning to the end, every step of the way. Pam at the office made sure every detail was done to perfection and answered or called promptly with the answers.

Our consultant, Theodore, was top notch. He showed up within 24 hours of contacting us. He did a thorough job of showing us materials and helping us with the specs for a custom door replacement. The only reason we did not go ahead with the project was that we felt the high quality was more than we needed for our concrete patio slab.

My husband and I were interested in replacing our 35 year old patio door. We met with a few window/door representatives that explained their product to us. Theodore Tamvakis was our design consultant from Stanek Windows. We found him to be professional and knowledgeable about the Stanek products. We appreciated the superior materials that he brought along to impress upon us the quality and workmanship that represents the Stanek name. We would not hesitate to contact him for any future window/door needs.

Had our large 32-year-old bay window replaced with a Stanek model. The workmanship by Mike and Rosario was superb. The clean-up perfect. Cant say enough about the quality of the window. The color match looks like it was done with the original build. Love it!

Appreciate the information that Theodore provided. We learned a lot about differences in the quality of windows. The team of installers were also very professional, and efficient. We want to highly recommend Stanek Windows Milwaukee byGreat Day Improvements. From the start we had an excellent experience. Their sales person gave good background and educated us thoroughly concerning structure of the windows and the benefits of development from years of experience. The office workers gave us updates as to our order fulfillment, arrival of the doors and when installation would occur (even including a window of their arrival time). The guys (Mike, Karl and Rosario) worked so well together as a team and remained focused on their task the whole time. They worked through challenges of the existing structure, letting us know what they needed to do to correct some flaws. They made sure we knew what needed to be completed after a full day of work and let us know when they would complete the task. The office workers followed up to assure us of completion and the time frame in which that would occur. The multiple large sliders and window Stanek installed look great, are solid in construction and provide extra insulation. We would recommend this crew and the company to anyone needing excellent work and customer service. Margie & Doug

I purchased 2 fairly small windows (36 x 38) back in 2005. Back then you didnt find that much info on the internet. I went with Stanek because of their frame which I believed was metal. I have 2 windows that face south and get a lot of heat. I was worried about them expanding and contracting because of the temperatures in my area. Well so far I thought it was a good choice. Now for the inside. I went with the fake wood grain, which was still popular at that time. Big mistake! It peals off. My bathroom window so far is okay. My kitchen window however is not. I had trouble with that window from the beginning. It is over my sink and not the easiest to get to. I was always struggling to clean it and it would slip out of its position. When I called and had it serviced the guy sat in my sink and said no problem he was able to work it and charged me $75.00 for the service call. Nothing changed. It still took 2 people to wash the window to keep it from slipping out of place. So much for easy cleaning. So 7 years later and a window I dread cleaning, the fake wood started to peal off and the frame on the inside window started coming apart. I called for service again and a big guy who was able to manage the window again without a issue came. He said just do this, just do that in order to flip it open to clean and as for the peeling off of the fake grain he gave me round patches to fill in. I paid $1440.00 for 2 windows, with a life time warranty and I am charged $75.00 every time they show up to solve a problem. Well the window still does not open properly to clean, the finish is peeling off. I am tired, when I can afford it, I will replace them with Marvin windows.

From beginning to end of our project we had a great experience. Every step of the project was communicated to us. Installation was a breeze. The follow up was great also. Very happy with the quality of the windows and entry doors. Definitely recommend.

Our initial meeting with him was very informative and we learned so much about the quality of our soon to be new windows. The process was so painless. I had a wonderful experience when Theodore and his work force put in my 7 storm windows and a front storm door. They are very efficient and do a wonderful job with the door and windows . They are very polite and they get the job done. They even have a program where you can take 2 years to pay. They are very respectful of you AND your property. LWK.

The windows looked great. I was impressed with the extra things Stanek did with them to make them stronger and loved the different finishing options. I am not in a position to buy any right now but really appreciated Theodores patience, professionalism and thoroughness when he presented the products.

Theodore has been a very real help in making my window selection. I do not know if my Stanek windows are better than any others....but his help and service did make the difference in my choice. Not only did he spend time selling...but has stopped by to check on my satisfaction. His little gifts of oil and cookies have added a very personal connection ..His personality shines through and I would feel comfortable calling on him in the future.

I had an excellent experience from sales all the way through installation. Windows/doors are beautiful and functional I was able to turn my heat down 3° immediately which is a big deal in the cold climate! Great job!

I purchased Stanek windows in 2006 for my entire home. The price was very competitive and I have been pleased with the windows since. They have stood by their guarantee and most recently came to my house in Oct. 2019 to replace a problem window I had. Josh was helpful with a number of issues he saw around the house, both with my windows and with a screen door that was not purchased from them. I would highly recommend their company both for the product and also the follow up on any problems. Great customer service.

I had the majority of my windows replaced with Stanek Windows. The installation team were very respectful and courteous. I was notified during the original installation that one of the window frames was bent and a replacement was ordered immediately and installed in short order. The staff at Stanek from salesman to installers have been wonderful. They are all very communicative and well aware of the value of good customer service. This is the 1st time working with Stanek Windows and was completely impressed by the customer service. Upon ordering our new patio door, I was given weekly updates as to where it was in the ordering and installing process. The 2 installers that came out worked efficiently and were very pleasant. I replaced all of my windows with Stanek. The reason I initially went with Stanek, was a referral from my neighbor, and hes an engineer. So his decision was good enough for me. And I have no regrets. I love my Stanek windows. Not only are they extremely efficient, but they are also very attractive. I have the diamond design etched in them. Ive had a couple of issues that needed attention, and their customer service from the phone call to the serviceman were the best. Again, I love my Stanek windows.

Love my new windows and patio door! I can’t believe how soundproof they are! Everyone was so professional and efficient - sales, coordinator, measurer and installers. We even had an unexpected glitch when wetness was discovered above the patio door and one window and the upper window frames were bubbled. They were able to have new ones cut and painted and installed the same day! I highly recommend Stanek Windows and Great Day Improvements.

I ordered a screened/glass door enclosure for my balcony, and Great Day Improvements did a fantastic job. My condo association and the city delayed the installment for months, but Faith Willner and others at Great Day did everything they could to help me comply with everything the condo and city required. It was a pleasure working with them. Professional from beginning to end! Now my enclosure is installed and I love it!

I placed a review about a week ago about Stanek Windows and how they were failing for the 17 years that we have had them. Since then Stanek which is owned by Great Day now has contacted me about our windows and was willing to correct this problem for us for a price. We are in the process of doing this. Will update this review when all is said and done.

I am pleased with service that I have received as well as impressed with the quality of materials. When I visited the show room in West Allis I enjoyed the Patio Enclosure display. I plan to eventually install one to be able to use year round.

They did everything exactly like we wanted, and double and triple checked to make sure it was right. They were pleasant to work with throughout, as well.

My husband and I are considering having a sunroom installed. We had asked our friends and family and many highly recommended Stanek. This past Saturday we made the trip to West Allis and were quite impressed with the help we had received. Never did we feel any pressure to act immediately-which my husband and I greatly appreciate. Makes you feel appreciated. We left with a number of brochures that will help us make the best decision for us and our home. If you have a home project on the horizon I urge you to check out Stanek. I had a one of my slider windows shatter suddenly on a Sunday. I emailed the office with attached photos and they quickly got back to me by phone. I spoke with Jill who was very nice and she told me that they would order replacement glass and schedule a date for replacement when the glass came in. On the scheduled date Josh called me and said he was ahead of schedule so he actually came an hour before the scheduled time,which was great. He explained why the window shattered, replaced it in a matter of minutes and took the time to explain heat mirror failure. I was very impressed and happy with my experience. The window was covered by warranty.

Very happy with the quality and service. The installers did a super job and one came back the next day to fix a small problem we hadnt noticed while they were here. They even fixed a made to order screen that had been damaged in our rental unit put in on a earlier order from Stanek years ago. Free of charge! Are they as cheap as Window World or Feldco? Nope, but quality will always cost more. House is a lot quieter as well.

Nice Windows customer service leaves a little to be desired. Some windows came with minor problems one with a major problem dents and gouges in the lift handle. Service tried to use heat gun on it first visit no luck, ordered new frame another 3 weeks, came with new frame its the wrong size. Cant blame the service person seems like a front office problem. This will be third time having to wait for them only work certain days and hours. We guess this is what happens when you pay all up front

From that moment on, Ward was communicative through the finalization of our installation. He inspected the work personally, and again apologized in person.To be honest, had there not been the issues in the middle, they should receive 5 stars. They started and ended strong, and I appreciate how issues were eventually remedied. They offer a product my husband and I really like. I believe that issues can and do arise, that make projects bumpy, we’re all just human. How bumps are dealt with speak to character. Because of Ward, we will be repeat customers.************************************Just because the product is quality, doesn’t always translate to the people. Save yourself the frustration, and skip over Great Day Improvements, LLC. for your windows and doors. They shattered our existing windows when removing, coating our basement and patio in glass shards, and have not taken the promised steps to bury the shards of glass in our yard. The force of their removal tactics also cracked our foundation, which has not had the promised caulking.The issues were brought to their attention, and there was a period where they expressed concern. Their new manager of operations Ward claimed to understand how inappropriate leaving a job site like this was, and gave the impression he would be helpful. Sadly neither Tim nor I have received any word on completion, GDI & Ward going radio silent.

A subcontractor came to our condominium today to install Stanek windows on the fourth floor. The windows were sold to the owner by Stanek representative Dwight Zoellner. I do not know if Mr. Zoellner works out of the West Allis store.The first and most egregious action was that of THROWING both a patio door screen and a patio door frame off of a fourth floor balcony into a fenced yard. The yard is used by owners and their pets on a regular daily basis. There was no notice verbal or otherwise before the debris was launched into the yard. On their way down four floors into the yard both items hit the communication lines which run through the yard. Two owners witnessed the dangerous launch.During the remainder of the visit the contractors left supplies and garbage in the Common Area hallways leaned against walls and strewn on floors.It appears that Stanek only cares about selling windows NOT about providing quality trades people for installation.

Called to have them give me an estimate. I am not the home owner, but they made the appointment anyways. the sales associate showed up anyways, and was supersized the home owner. He proceeded to rudely saying that he could take measurements and that was it and if we could get down to their showroom then maybe he could give me a quote. I told him he could just leave now. Very disappointed.

All the windows in the house were replaced by Stanek. One window cracked because of something called a thermal shock. Stanek replaced the window without issue.

The bay window was installed last year and I can feel the cold wind blowing through the frame. So the company reached out to fix the problem. First time they were too busy to keep the appointment and the second time they just never called or showed up. Just a horrible company.

Very responsive to questions and customer service is always top noch.

Great experience and better quality - exceed expectations.

I purchased Stanek replacement windows in 2007. The installation of the replacement windows was done by a sub-contractor, or as i like to call them, three stoned dudes. The day they were to install the windows they showed up at 4:30 pm. I took a day off of work for that. Awesome! The next day they showed up at 11:30 am, and got most of the work done, still had to come back to finish. They chipped the paint and cracked the dry wall around 3 of the window frames, i fixed it, easier than dealing with Stanek.Now the real fun begins, every year at least one window fails, no big deal, we have a lifetime warranty. Right, until Stanek sells to Great Day here is a partial statement for Bill Goddard a VP with Great Day.To Customers of the Former Stanek Vinyl Windows Corporation:At Great Day Improvements, LLC we continue to monitor customer comments regarding the frustration and disappointment with the closure of the Stanek Vinyl Windows Corporation and the loss of warranty benefits for that company’s customers.To be clear, Great Day Improvements, LLC did not purchase the Stanek Vinyl Windows Corporation. It merely acquired the operating assets from the former company after they stopped doing business. The operating assets Great Day Improvements acquired included things like manufacturing machinery, materials and the rights to the Stanek brand name.Yep, the consumer is screwed, legally of course. So every year I have windows fail that I have to pay Great Day to replace. To be fair, Great Day says they have a new state of the art facility that makes better windows. The windows that they have replaced for me have not failed, yet.Would i recommend Great Day to my friends? NO! Would i buy their products at half price? NO!Buyer beware!
